Sounds like that girlfriend was really nervous and could have used some patience and understanding to get past that. I can only go on what you wrote here but it seems kind of telling how you said that "she didn't know how to turn a guy on." That seems a little one-sided.
As far as being into the anime/hentai stuff I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Everyone has their fantasies. What is actually the red flag here is how you say you like them more than real women.
I know this seems harsh but is it possible that one of the reasons you like fantasy girls more than real women is because its much easier just masturbate to them and not have to worry about meeting a real woman half way? Real women will never compete with the perfect "objects" that the anime characters are. But that's only if you are seeing women as objects when you think of them sexually. Imperfections can be sexy if you can enjoy the whole person with her own desires, needs, and emotions.
Ultimately you are certainly not required to like real women more. If you're perfectly happy with your anime and don't need anything else it's not hurting anyone. But if you were completely happy about it I wonder why you were moved to create this thread. Were you just seeking reassurance? Or maybe you felt you were missing something? I don't know. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
(TL;DR: No there's nothing wrong with it - but you might be missing out by seeing real women the wrong way - i.e. trying to compare them to your anime girls and not seeing them for who they really are)
