You arrive at the site of the former base appropriately equipped for that particular region. You enter the base and try to piece together what happened, and what you should do next.

1. Abandoned
The base is abandoned. There is no sign of violence, and from open books and half eaten meals, it seems as if the leave-taking was sudden.
As evening falls, you hear someone walking around the outside of the base, and then walk away. You exit to find no one there, but in the darkness, you find a set of tracks. Following them leads you to a small camp of hunters, all dead from what looks like a bloody, violent battle. Their weapons lay in tablets beside them. As you enter the area, you may notice red eyes gleaming from the darkness, but soon it's your eyes that gleam red.
If you are on this mission with another hunter: hot, mindlessly rage overwhelms you both, causing you to summon weapons and attack one another. Only once your HP drops to 10 or below does your mind begin to clear and become your own again. If you are alone: you return to deus, mission done, the red-violent rage settling calmly into you. At some point it will trigger, and you will attack another character or even an NPC.
2. Infested
At first the base seems empty. It's quiet as you explore its corridors, signs of violence apparent on its walls, in its broken bits and pieces. Eventually you find the first body, and upon inspection, you notice a bee crawling upon them. Then a second. Then a sixth. The corpse rocks slightly, and the motion causes their chest cavity to open with a wet, sickly sound. Within them is a honeycomb structure of gore and viscera, crawling with hundreds of small bodies, busy at work. They pay you no mind and other "hives" are soon found, until you find one hunter, still freshly dead, holding what looks like a runic flamethrower, still glowing with an unused charge. As you approach it, the buzzing of the bees grows deafening as they emerge from their nests to attack you.
Bee Mob: HP: 80 Auto Damage: 5 Special: One person may use the flame thrower, using this allows you to add another die to your rolls, however, doing so increases the auto damage to 10, and does not allow you to charge your weapon. Special: If you miss twice in a row, you feel something crawl inside of you. Once you return to Deus, the infirmary will be able to remove the hive that has begun within you, possibly leaving you with a honey-comb shaped scar.
3. Taken
The base is no longer there at all. No signs of it having existed remain. The longer and further you search, the less you seem to find. The hours wear on, until the sun is finally setting and it seems like time to call it a day. When you return to the location where the base should have been, a man stands there, tall and thin, and he bears an uncanny resemblance to another hunter, one Obadiah Thompson. He is wearing a hunter's coat, golden scythes gracefully sweeping up its sides, and a red scarf covering his throat.
"You shouldn't be here," he says softly, an irritable, slightly nasal sigh of speech. A moment later he draws a knife, glowing with dark, nearly black purple runes. He twirls it absently in his hands and simply stares for a moment with a hungry violence tracing his every line.
Clone Mob: HP: 99 + regen (nearly all wounds seal up and heal over quickly, including blood) Auto Damage: 6 Special: If you do 12 or more damage with a hit, you may remove a limb. If you remove two limbs, something glowing will flash on his chest, and he will be gone.
Upon success: A door appears on the ground, leading down through the roof of the base that had somehow sunk underneath. Within are half a dozen hunters, all comatose but alive.

The three agreed that they would go and check the status of the bases, they read all the details written in the file, exchanging thoughts before they walked towards the portal at the lighthouse. Despite the cheerful appearance, the petite Asian was nervous and anxious about her first assessment, but she didn't show it at all. "What do you think happened to those bases? Are those hunters possibly kidnapped by the horsemen? What if they were zombiefied? Molly what do you think?" Shu requested the opinion and experiences of the elder huntress, while looking at Noemi for her input too. The three discussed about their mission for a while before they hopped into the portal.
Upon Arrival, they found themselves inside a building, somewhere they might mistake the portal was broken and transferred them back into somewhere on the Island. "Let's check around, shall we?" The girl found it weirdly quiet. Deus Island was so different, it was packed with hunters and chatters all the time, or the sound of spars. It was dark and silent, they came across a place she believed was the cafeteria. On tables set cups of coffee, hamburgers or sandwiches that were half eaten, spaghetti wrapped on fork, and sliced sausage or cut fill fillets. Shu looked at them in drools, the table near her had two trays, a plate remained a toast half put with strawberry jam and a box of milk, another one had some cooked beans with a slice of bacon and fries, one near the edge of the plate was put into the tomato sauce already. "Hmm? It was breakfast time?" The girl put her hand around one of the cups, "It's still warm."
Shu went back to her partners and shared her discovery, it seemed the hunter who were enjoying their lovely breakfasts left in a hurry. A really urgent matter that they didn't have time to finish the last bite of their food. It was strange because the well-lit cafeteria was just like theirs, Shu had a delusion that they would appear in the next second, but they didn't. They checked other places too, they could find a lot of similarities to their base, but they knew it wasn't the Island they could call home.....
It wasn't only the cafeteria, they also went to the library which gave the same conclusion with opened books on the table, the laboratories as well as the dorm and other rooms. All hinted that the people within suddenly left, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get any clues where they went.
They spent hours searching for any hunter or useful evidences, it was a big base after all, but the only sounds were their footsteps and chatters. They didn't know how long they wandered in the base but darkness visited the land as the sun went down. Shu suggested they checked the periphery of the base and they found it was in a forest. They carefully looked around to prevent foray or raid, Shu was holding Noemi's hand so that they could share the anxiety together.
Crack.
Three of them all heard the breaking of the branch from the woods near them. "There's noise coming from that direction." Right after the girl finished her words, she dashed after where the voice disappeared.
There was nothing but a broken branch at the middle, lit under the light of the torch. Shu lit the surrounding scrubs, and wondered if she was over-acting that it was just a wild animal, but shortly she overthrow the thought. footprints were marked on the ground, leading them to a track. "No one oppose that we follow the track? I have the impression that someone was watching us, and it might lead to why people here sudden left?" She tilted her head in dark to ask for the huntresses' opinion before she walked on the path.
The inexperienced Asian girl screamed out and dropped her torch as she reached the end of the track - a camp full of hunter corpses in blood. The awful scene immobilized Shu, fixing her to look at the vague silhouettes lying in different poses in pain, cold sweats dropped from her forehead, but she couldn't even warn her team of the red eyes gleaming in the darkness. The face in extreme pain, grievance, betrayal, anger, sorrow printed deeply in her mind, taking her ability to make the correct decision.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!" When Z was summoned and she jumped back to swing it against her friends, all she knew was the uncontrollable anger boiling within her. A foreign rage for nothing. Shu only had one thing in mind - to rout the people standing there. Growls coming out from the petite girl who was always friendly and sweet. She needed to swing her hammer, pinning them down so that the heat would leave. They were the source of the annoying boiling of her body.
Her once bright amber eyes were shining in a malicious hue of red.

Noemi didn't have much to add to the mission, as she was quiet during the initial planning process. She was worried about the missing hunters, but mostly worried about what would cause them to disappear. Her last mission had been a doozy with Jake and Sherry and the many dead bodies.
She made sure to stay close to the two huntresses, her weapon summoned and held at her side loosely. "They probably just..just left." she nodded at the warmed beans.
She didn't say anything else as they passed room by room. All empty. Not a single hunter in sight. The only thing a sign of even having hunters was the unused objects they left behind.
As they left the building for a new area to check, Noemi's hand was taken so suddenly she managed a small squeak. "S-Sorry!" She gripped Shu's hand in return, keeping her weapon close to the two . The deeper it went, the more nervous Noemi became. Looking over her shoulder to Molly and then past the other mist, into the woods. She had a feeling. A very bad feeling.
It wasn't till Shu's scream that Noemi's head turned to a gruesome scene unfold. She couldn't make out a sound as Shu's hand ripped away from her and the girl summoned her own weapon.
No instead Noemi was transfixed in horror, staring at the pooled blood. Her gaze wandered up, at a pair of red eyes in the bushes. It faded and Noemi was left with a distinct feeling of rage. Of uncontrollable hate in the small mist who was to timid to feel such things.
Molly had offered her input here and there, which so much didn't sound assured of what the were doing and instead more of encouragement. They could definitely do this. Whatever 'this' was. She honestly wasn't too sure what to expect though. Her last promotion mission had been on Deus grounds with Lance involving jousting on runic horses...this was definitely not the case.
The base they arrived at was eerie. Too eerie. Signs of activity yet no one around...Molly felt a sense of dread filling her, and the more they explored the more she felt unsettled. This wasn't going to be a good mission report...
The trainee trailed after the other two as they exited the empty base and followed a trail to--
Molly gasped, her eyes going wide as a hand immediately came up to her mouth as a wave of nausea rolled over her as well. All the the hunters--so much blood--their tablets-- She felt panicked, and immediately her mind jumped to the thought that shadows had done this. That thought started to make her blood boil and Molly snapped as soon as Noemi swung at her. There was no rhyme or reason. She struck back since she attacked first.
Shu was swinging her hammer and then Noemi too, Molly counter-attack at Noemi, all of them were like completely losing their minds and only knew to attack each other. The petite girl experienced a very awful and nasty headache, as her body boiled up. As if someone coaxed her that hitting the huntress in front of her would help to cool down, she swung the hammer at Molly, the unbreakable female that she sparred with before. "Get out of my way!" She clenched her teeth tightly and growled like a raging cat, but the attack was blocked easily by Molly the greatest mom in Deus.
"Stop it!" Molly cried, panicked, and enraged that she was being swung at. Her target changed from Noemi to Shu, and the trainee swept her weapon at the smaller hunter, pushing her away.
"It hurts! Ouch~" The girl with the red eyes like bunny puffed up her cheeks as she slid back, the impact from the lance was strong. Shu blocked part of it with the hammer and made use of the rest to push her hammer back, making a swinging motion.
Mommy, it's rebel time for your daughters. "You stop first! Why it's always me?!" The petite huntress insisted and stomped the ground with bunny foot, angry that it's unfair for her to get such a cool weapon, the raging battle was downgraded to kindergarten level of fighting for a toy.
Noemi, even under rage was a follower to the end. With Shu attacking Molly in a fit, Noemi followed suit. Though she melted down into a quieter boiling rage. She didn't know why, but she thought of something the mist huntress had down and latched on to it as part of her anger.
Molly gave her chocolate chip cookies and everyone knew oatmeal cranberry was the best. How dare she!?!? She bet Molly gave these hunters chocolate chip cookies too and just sent them off to the their merry death.
She now had both of them swinging at her, and it sent her into even more of a panic. She couldn't stand being ganged up on, and she needed it to stop. It wasn't fair they were doing that to her. It was so unfair it made her mad. "You started it!" She cried back at Shun, and swung her weapon, sloppily, at the young girl again.
Molly then shot a panicked look towards Noemi that held a flash of promise. Promise that she was coming for her next as the runes of her lance grew brighter.
"Your weapon is bigger, why I have to stop, it's not fair!" The girl was jumping up and down, together with her hammer. The boiling rage inside her was intensified and she didn't know why, especially when she saw Noemi was hurt. If she stopped, then no one would be hurt. "Just stop it!"
The girl lunged forward, drawing an arc with her weapon. Obviously deep in her heart, Shu cared that Molly saw she knocked out herself and it shouldn't be seen by anyoneeeeeeee, so patheticccccccc.
She wanted to be a proud daughter, mommy, not a failed one.
It really was like two rebellious daughters attacking. Throwing tantrums. She had no real reason to be upset with either of the huntresses but here she was, swinging her weapon around.
She connected again, her nervousness breaking as she saw the LOOK from Molly. Even if she registered the glowing runes, her brain was too far in rage mode to prepare herself for it. Instead she kept the trident pointed at Molly.
It was getting worse and worse the more the two ganged up on her, and it was without a second thought Molly started to get her charged attack going. The rage continued to make her sloppy though, and the whirling drill bit of her weapon went screaming by Noemi, but missed the girl by miles. Frustrated with the miss and the lack of satisfaction from hitting something, Molly let out a whine, and whipped back around to Shu.
Shu was a good girl and no way she wanted to hurt her friends, just the mindless rage was too strong taking over her conscious, all the blame to her big weapon. They were like daughters complaining about the flavour of the cake mommy brought home, she wanted a raspberry one, not blueberry. The rage was equal to that of someone taking her dessert.
"SO it's my fault to be this short?" As if she was accused for asking for a raspberry cake, the girl in sadness mixed with foreign anger, swung at Molly again. It was hard to tell her sorrow with the gleaming eyes.
Mommy, she just wanted a piece of her favourite cake.
