'The Cove' that Stormy had mentioned turned out to be a relatively small, dark room as Finley discovered after descending the stairs. Well, sort of dark - there was a torch, but the lighting it gave off seemed almost subdued in the otherwise dark room. Truth be told, she had expected to see something a bit more sci fi here after waking up in the pod room. But the dimness of the Cove, the torch on one side on the room and the squares with glowing scribbles on them, it all seemed a lot more mystical than it did sci fi, in her opinion.

But no less interesting for it, definitely. Stormy had left her at the stairs, but before they left the pod room she'd said that the Cove would be where Finley would get her weapon. Or find it. Or something ending in her obtaining a weapon, anyway - there hadn't really been any details on the how though, she recalled as she surveyed the room the room for any clues that might jump out at her.

:: Do you really need to have it spelled out for you? :: The female voice was dark velvet, softly curling around the young woman before ending in a slight, amused huff.

"Wha-" Finley closed her mouth mid-word as she remembered Stormy's words - 'weapons who mentally bond with the Hunter and can talk'. "Oh!"

:: Yes, :: there was a definite hint of laughter to the voice this time.

"Cor," even though she'd been told that the weapons could talk, it was still a bit, well, unexpected. One thing was being told something, another thing entirely was experiencing it. "So, uh, you're my weapon? But..." She glanced around the room, taking in the tablets and the torch and coming up entirely sans anything that looked like it could be used as a weapon, "but you're not here."

:: I am, though not in the form you're expecting. At the moment, anyway. :: The voice laughed a bit before tiring of its own joke, :: I'm merely one of many tablets on the wall, currently. No, not that one - don't even bother with those. Over here - :: the voice was patient, almost kind as it guided her across the room and to the right spot. :: There, yes, that's me. Now simply pull me out of the wall and you will get to see my weapon form. ::

"Really?" That sounded rather neat, actually. Finley shifted from one foot to the other, hand hovering over the tablet in question and body almost buzzing in excitement. "Oh, but -"

:: What? ::there was a hint of exasperation to be found in the voice, now, :: really, it cannot get more simple than thi-- ::

"Oh, no, I meant - we should really be introduced before I go, um, handling you, shouldn't we? I'm Finley, nice to meet you!"

:: Oh. :: A pause, and then the voice continued, :: My name is Zayde and I suppose it is nice to meet you as well. Now. Can we get on with it? ::

"Right, right," she took a deep breath to fortify herself and then she grabbed onto the edges of the tablet with both hands and pulled it out. Never so soon had it lost touch with the wall before the shape changed, separating and becoming two - "chakram?"

:: No! :: there was a distinct sense of irritation coming from the weapon, :: my form is not chakrams, thank you very much. It's called wind and fire wheels, honestly. ::

"Neat-o!" Finley was only half listening, having taken to twirling around the small room with the wheels. This was awesome!

Zayde gave a sigh, :: well, I can already tell you're going to need a lot of practice at this, so you'd best get us out of here and get started on that right away. Become someone worthy to wield a weapon as great as me, yes? ::

The new Hunter stopped her flailing, finally registering her weapon's words and nodding in assent, "you're right, I should probably get going, shouldn't I?" There'd be plenty of time for twirling around later, if the want hit her. Preferably in a location with more room for it.

:: Focus on desummoning me into something more manageable than my weapon form and we can get going, :: Zayde commanded. Finley concentrated, and quickly felt the wheels disappearing from her grip, transforming into a slight weight on top of her hand instead. "A slave bracelet? It's really pretty." She admired it, turning it this way and that and letting it catch the torchlight.

:: It should be pretty, considering it's my form. :: The weapon preened, before getting back on task, :: now, we must get going - there are practical things yet that need to be settled. ::

"Yep," the brunette nodded determinedly, tearing her gaze away from her new accessory and moving towards the stairs. "Off we go then!"
