It as now just a couple of days and the winter's cold was slowly calming. "Hey hey! Look!" The birds started coming in to waves.. migrating above. Looking up as they flew in. She turned to him, ears down as her lush rainbow hair started to sparkle.. "Yea wonder if its warm enough to fly yet?" Her tail wagging happily behind them. "Roddy! Roddy are you listening? Hey!" Trotting up to him and nudging his sleeping face. "Rodimus?" Lowering her face to his, nudging his nose.
She was hyper and full of energy. Waiting for him to wake up as her paws started to hit the grown excitedly. Flicking her tail about.

Inwardly Roddy chuckled to himself, but outwardly he showed every sign of being a lazy bum. He moaned and groaned first curling himself up tighter, then rolling over as she came over to nudged him... "Awww come on, stop it Dash," he said taking a playful swat at her when she nudged his nose. He opened his eyes just enough to judge her reaction and noticed just how hyper and anxious to get moving she really was...
"Ok, ok," he said still keeping his grumpy pose. "Just give me a minute to actually wake up ok?" He took his time rolling to his side and stretching before standing up and stretching some more. He yawned and enjoyed one more bowing stretch flexing his claws before finally turning to Rainbow Dash.
"Oh are those birds I hear?" he asked smiling as he gave her a friendly nudge. Chi Sohma sorry for the delay I keep thinking I already replied to this

"YES YES YES! IT ISSSSS!!!" Turning to him and plucking his ear in to her maw and pulled it a little. "Com' on! I wanna fly with them! Aw and see the fields again.. I ache for it all. First sun in days huh!" She was joyful.. as she ran out of the cave without him. "WOOOOAAHH!!" She wailed out as a large sum of snow fell upon her. Just her rainbow tail sticking out..

Roddy didn't even have a chance to chuckle at her impatience as she suddenly went and tugged on his ear... "Hey! Ouch.. Geeze Dashie." She had a point it did look inviting bright and sunny outside. He followed a little more slowly though he was nearly as eager to get outside as she was, now that he was awake anyway. He was just in time to see the large clump of snow drop on top of her, likely from one of the surrounding trees.
His paw went to his mouth trying to hold in the laughter ... it didn't work. Stuttering past the laughter, "Serves you right, waking a poor guy up and trying to chew his ear off..." he teased even as he dug her out. Finding the tuft of rainbow hair in front of her face he moved it out of her eyes and licked her nose, "Hello there." There was a great deal of amused affection in his eyes as he moved aside so she could shake the remaining snow off...

Dash.
When her hair was moved and her nose that had been topped with snow had been licked. Her cheeks burned a fiery red on her pale blue completion. "Ah." She tossed her head aside and jumped out of the fluffy snow- shaking her body out and looking at him with a soft yet roughed look. "Well- ain't we gunna fly? There's some sun! So let's sulk in it while we can!" As she bounced and let her wings flutter slightly before she dashed away. Her rainbow dashing after her...
It didn't take long though, before her bitter cold wings gave in and she toppled and became her own little snow ball in the snow. Looking up at the sky.. then she heard something. In the distance.. "What's... that..?"
Her ears moved to each side. Then she looked back. "Roddy! Hey! Do you hear that?!" Quickly she dashed up in to the highest hill she could find, looking for the source but nothing.. The singing was loud- but she didn't know the direction. If only her wings had been stronger!
"I know I hear something. Rainbow. Can you go find out- and report back to us. This slow poke is killin the vibes~~~" She laughed and joked and trotted back to Roddy with her tail wagging happily. "I know I heard something out there! Maybe it's my friends!? Maybe they come to find me? Pfft I know if you met them, they'd fall head over hooves for ya~" Although she said it, and didn't feel any ounce of jealousy- but maybe if that were to happen, she probably wouldn't have said it too lightly. Her oblivious yet tomboy nature wouldn't allow her to understand feelings.
That's what the other 'pony crew' did. Not Dash. Giving him a nudge, not even realizing that she still had his jacket on.
Tygress Dream tag, ALSO Im changing this to an event rp because I figure- They are in the snow anyways right 8D? <3 Also, hotrod... is a normal ulaya right? He cant fly- because his jacket is the one with the 'wings'?

Roddy just shook his head as she took off. "Sometimes I think she's got rainbows for brains that one..." he muttered to himself as he started to run. He missed his jacket and the bit of a lift it gave him when running. When she ended up grounded again he tried to pick up more speed. What was that she was shouting about?
"Here wha...." he started to ask but then he heard it... voices on the wind, singing. "Oh wow, what IS that?"
He slowed and smiled as she actually came back towards him after sending the rainbow on. "Your friends?" he asked curious, ducking his head slightly embarrassed at the last part of her comment. "Me? Nah..." he replied nudging her back.
"Ummm... Dash... if you're feeling a bit warmer do you think I could have my jacket back?" He actually really wanted his own "wings" back, but if she was still warming up he was quite happy to allow her to wear it a bit longer. Chi Sohma Works for me. heart And yep he's a normal boyo under the jacket, the "wings" are on his jacket. If he's running he can get some lift from them for gliding leaps allow for more distance and speed.

With her jabbering about the things she was hearing, she nearly forgot what he was yapping about. Blinking and then the realization smacked her like a ton of bricks! "Oh! No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere! My wings were covered!" Wiping the sweat off her brow, happily knowing that her failed landing was NOT her fault. Sitting down beside him and taking off the jacket and handing it back over.
The warmth she felt with it- immediately left her longing for it once more. It was a cool jacket too! It looked SO GOOD on her! Rolling her eyes and walking up to the other side of him. "I'll have to stay beside ya~ or I'd lose ya~ With your slowness." Winking at him, but really- it was just an excuse to stay close to him. "That's what I was sayin!" She exclaimed!
"Of course they'd be all over ya- guys and swooning our their thing after all." Laughing and pricking her ears when she saw her rainbow come back- circle around them then dash off again.
"I'm guessing the little rainbow found out where all that noise is coming from~ I mean, unless you don't have anything to do. If you do- I totally understand- I just wanna see if it's those trouble making friends of mine~" With a softness when she said 'trouble some' because honestly she really adored her friends, something fierce! Admittingly even missing them..
"What the hay- if you live in that cave- you are BOUND not to have anything to do- so come on! I'll race ya!" Even before he could get an answer out- she had already dashed off in the direction that the rainbow signaled.. and towards the noises.. which soon it occured to her and she yelled behind her. "It's SINGINNNNNNNGGGGGGG!" With an upbeat attitude and hype in her step- she couldn't wait to see!
It didn't take her long before she was flying over the snowy fields, dashing away through the trees til she was encountered by a big dragon looking paper thing in the sky above~ "WOOOOOOOAAHHHHHH!!" Flying right in to it- entangling herself in a fit of panic before dropping to the ground with the head of the dragon on top of her. Well. A paper one.
"What in the world is this!?" Lifting it up to see a bunch of ulaya- walking about! Little tents, and things being traded- the smell of food of all kinds filled the air! "I haven't see this many together.. not like this!" Others were singing, couples were cuddled together, and kits were off playing and making snow angels!
"Roddy? Roddy!?!?!?!?" She called out.
A strangely dashing ulaya came up to her and pulled off the dragon. "Didn't like our decorations huh?"
"Maybe if it wasn't in my way!? HMPH. Anyways..What is.. happening? Is this- always like this?"
"You don't know? It's the Winter Solstice Celebration. Have you been living under a rock?" He laughed.
"I haven't!" Always quick to anger... "I just never been here!"

Roddy chuckled at her discovery and gladly reclaimed his jacket. Then he thought he saw her shiver he was about to ask if she wanted it back but then she started to walk beside him. No matter what excuse she had for being close, it made him happier to share the warmth of closeness. Of course then she started talking about her friends again... not that he'd mind being admired like that, but it wasn't as appealing as it once might have been. He wasn't sure what to make of that, and was happy the rainbows return distracted away from the topic.
He was about to growl something about his cave but of course then she was off and running ... errr flying.. again. Did she ever take a moment to think before she rushed into things? No wonder she ended up trapped... With a growl he raced after her, his speed greatly increased now with the "wings" on his jacket giving him extra lift and extending his leaping strides.
He lost sight of her as she flew through the trees and let out a curse as he heard her yell.... He was relieved when her calls of his name were excited and not calls for help.
Roddy finally reached the spot and bristled a bit at the strange male that was lifting the ... paper dragon? what?... off of his friend. He took a deep breath and hoped his fur was settled enough or hidden enough by his jacket when he approached. "Hey, dude no need to insult the lady. Not everyone's had a chance to get out and socialize to hear about a big gathering. We can't be the only ones taken by surprise by all of this."Chi Sohma Sorry for the delayed response... got so distracted by the holidays and then work

"No need to be fiesty~ Its a joke there Lil Lady, and Sir." He laughed and fixed up the paper dragon with sticks again. Now, it looked as if it was floating. "The Coming of winter and introduction to spring. You see everyone setting up? Its a big event, and lots are here to celebrate. The help would be much apperciated, or if yea want. There is a prayer/wishing well that most pray to. Good luck. New Years. Anything your heart's desire!"
The Pony'ulaya simply looked at the foreignor and gave him a nod as she went to Hot Rod's side. "Yea well. If we stay- we may. Or something. Right Roddy?" Looking up at him.
The other male looked at him, gave him a look of 'is that your lady'- and chuckled.
"I mean as long as their is food- OH WAIT! Let's see if there are races and games! Let's go!" And the rainbow twirled about around it's master then sped off, not look long after- Dash also disappeared. As they went through the festival- there were heaps of food! Decorative- and beautiful. Herbs- Meats together. Platters. Glowing lights- it was beautiful...
Her pace went down as she finally took the time to realize Roddy was way behind her. Waiting as the rainbow circled around the lights. At a distance she saw kits throwing snow balls and others making snow angels. Her eyes seemed to widen with happiness. Everyone looked so happy! It also didn't take long for the carolers to start singing. How wonderful this gathering was becoming to be.
"Can we stay? Maybe just to beat a few games or something? It'd be fun! Maybe my friends will be here." With a bright smile, she offered her paw to him.

Roddy nodded at the other male's reassurance that he was just joking. At the suggestion of helping he was about to comment when Dash walked over to him and spoke too. "Yeah we'll have to take a look around. I'm sure if there's a place where they could use an extra paw we'll pitch in," he replied grinning, a grin he had to hold on his face when he caught the message in the other's look and chuckle; that was starting to be the question now wasn't it? But hold the grin he did especially when in what he was coming to realize was just her way, she dashed away.
Roddy rolled his eyes and chuckled, "Thanks for the info, I'd best be going."
He followed moving as quickly as he could while taking it all in. This was great, just what they all needed. He didn't realize that he'd slowed down as he absorbed the festive atmosphere. Then his rainbow haired friend returned to him and for a change didn't chide him for being slow.
"Yes, definitely," he replied to her wanting to stay. Roddy worried a little again at the mention of her friends, but then he stared a bit at the paw she offered him. He held out his own to take it, wondering how long it would take before she found something to catch her interest, but he'd enjoy walking together while it lasted.
As the singing began again it triggered childhood memories and he found himself humming along. Maybe this festival wasn't so foreign to him after all.

When he clasped her paw, she kicked her hind paws to the ground and started to flutter her wings. For being so small, she could dragged him inches then feet off the ground. Letting his wings take in the cold winter air as she helped to keep him in the air. Laughing. "If we keep this up- we can get you really flying!" Laughing as she held his paws and looked down. It was an awkward flight but she wanted to see what it was from above. It'd be no fun without him!
As they floated... a snowball got launched in to the air and got her off balanced, almost letting him fall. When another one hit them- she dropped him. "HEY!" At least they fell in to a tree. Within the tree, lights hung, lanterns with fireflies captured within them. It was an entrancing glow. "Woah.." Her awkward fall and limbs every which way, she untangled herself and slowly came close to one of the lanterns.. In awe, and amazement. Then a snowball hit her face. "Hey!" Jumping down and throwing herself down. "I SEE YOU! D8<"
Gathering up a bunch of snow and without the proper way of knowing how to compact it, tossing it- it disasembled rather quickly. "How the-" Smashing the snow. After a few fustrating tries- she was already hit a dozen times. "TAKE COVER!!!" She laughed and dunked herself in the freshly fallen snow. A puff of rainbow hair popping out of the snow. Under, she made a tunnel and went around the tree and popped her head out and looked up to Roddy.
"You still alive!?"

Walk... right... He should have known better. He tried to keep steady and not fight as she actually managed to get him off the ground. The wind somehow managed to catch his "wings" enough to give him some lift so that helped. It was kinda a nice way to take in everything, but he would have preferred to climb a tree or something...
Then the snowballs happened....
"Ah come on!" Roddy shouted in frustration as they ended up IN a tree. He could hear Dash and though annoyed she didn't sound like she needed help, so he focused on untangling himself from the strings lanterns and the tree without falling out of the tree. It was not an easy task but finally he found a secure branch to perch on while he shrugged out of his jacket and untangled everything and got his wings folded back into place. He was just putting the jacket back on when she called up to him.
Secure on his branch he layed down and crossed his front paws and looked down. "Yeah, I am. You need some help digging out again?" Having been distracted by his own predicament he hadn't noticed how she'd ended up buried in the snow.

"Stop hanging around- we're under attack!" Going to check behind the tree and getting a snowball flying past her fast and barely grazing her cheek.
"Alright. Because we got one at 3 o clock and another at 7." Eyes squinting.
If only she could have had some more time looking from above. The view was beautiful and Roddy wiggling about in the air, that was a scene she would never forget. Even them crashing. Darn kits though!
She looked behind the tree, then back forward. "COVER ME." As she dodged rolled to another tree. Grabbing up a pawful of snow and throwing it at one of them but it disseminated before getting to them. "How do you guys do those things! With the ice!" Grabbing and throwing the short distance ice. "This isn't working! I need HALP HERE!"
Dodge rolling back to his tree as she was attacked by several snowballs, just before getting there she was taken out by a huge one! FLOOP. Falling in to the snow and sinking just an inch in. "IVE BEEN HIT! IVE BEEN HIT!" Dragging herself back to the safety of the tree.
"This is suicide!" Serious, and in 'game mode', Dash was serious. Thinking and contemplating how to take the kits out. Looking up at the tree. "Attack the tree... " Making a whole plan to get the tree's snow to fall on the kits. "Ok- So heres the plan. I'll tackle the branches in the tree. Taking in a breath. "Darn kits have GOOD aim!" Hearing the sound of giggling and laughing kits in the background as they started to throw snow balls at Rod too. Some missed though from the thickness of the branches in front of him.

It was all happening so fast Roddy could barely take it all in. "Attack what?" He kept on watching from his perch trying to spot the attackers. They were pretty good at this snowball throwing and Dash was very good at getting hit and reacting dramatically. He couldn't help chuckling.
"Why don't you just get up here?" he asked, wondering why she kept diving into the snow. He thought the was safe in the tree, but between his talking and Dash's comments in his direction, the playful kits noticed him and snowballs started coming toward him. Being in the tree he had a bit of an advantage with the branches in the way.
"Ok sounds like a plan. I'll try to lure them in!" He pulled the snow on his branch toward him working on forming it into a good snowball. It seemed more difficult than it had been when he was a kit. Was that one of the things one lost with adulthood the ability to form a proper snowball? He had a few ready and wondered how to get them closer. Instead he just started throwing. Either they'd get closer to get a better return shot at him or they'd give up with a second target.

"COME GET SOME!" She yelled out as she sucked in a huge breath and started to flap her wings with every God Given Muscle in her body. Seeing snowballs flying in front of her from behind! Roddy was one awsome sidekick! At Full force, she came in for it- and slammed in to the tree that the kits were under. The tree looked almost plastic as it waved about, and like a slingshot- chucked her back from which she came while on the other hand, a load of snow fell upon the kits just as she said would happen.
The shot sent her flying back to the tree Roddy was in and stopped short of a foot in front of the tree with her head in the snow and rainbow butt in the air. Her tail wagging as she stuck her head out and snow partials covered her maw. Making her look like she had a beard like Santa!
"HA! WE WON!" A fist in the air of achievement while the kits popped up out of the snow. "THAT WAS SOOOOO COOOLL!!!" They all cooed at the awsome 'adults'. "That was Rad-!", "Not bad for some old timers!" They laughed, and quickly ran off, targetting each other. It seemed that they were worthy enough to stand another day without the kits pulverizing them.
"I guess NOW you can come down~since you know. I scared them off with my awsomeness~~~~" Getting her head high and her head in the clouds.
"Did you see me go! It was like- CRASH-SLOOOSHHH! WAM! It was totally 100% cool." Laughing as she carried on. Then her ears went up, and the soft sounds of caroling started. "Oh wow! Their pretty good- COME ON YOU LAZY BUM!" She yelled up to the tree as she shook herself off and trotted towards the sounds. Now that they only detoured for a moment, when they came back to the celebration- TONS of ulaya were there. Laughing and playing games. But that wasn't what she was hearing that was taking her attention. Although the trinkets and shining things were REALLY itching at her almost attention span.
'Did you know~ that your baby would soon deliver you~~~~~' The sound was beautiful... the caroling and the different tones of the song... kept drawing her back to it. "You hear that Rodimus...Whoever is singing......must be someone totally awsome.."
But as she got to those that were caroling. The soft song was over and an uplifting beatful song started. One that they had little papers with the words to so one could sing along. "This is neat." She commented.
