Leilani was unsure of why she was seeking the Knight. That was all she knew of him was a title and that he grew a seemingly magic mushroom that could heal just about anything. In her line of work a plant like that would be a godsend but as a practical girl she severely doubted it existed. The woods around her were dark and dank, with a muggy wet atmosphere. Something that suggested the turf of a predator, not a caring plant grower. She snorted with a growing nervousness that she couldn't help. The vines hanging from the trees, willow branches getting caught in her hair, and worst of all the sucking sound her hooves made as they pulled free of the boggy turf with each step. It almost made her shudder.
Leilani was a mare of the world, of the sun for a better explanation. She adored the sun and its bright light and almost disliked places such as the ones she was in but she needed to know if this person existed, and more so if the mushroom did. She walked on heedless of her own safety for is she obtained this plant she might be able to cultivate some of her own. That is if the stallion she sought willing parted with his miracle cure.

"Sometimes I just don't Get you..."

The voice was quiet in the distance, the muffled sound of torso's crashing against each other side by side following it with a slight oof, leading the mare out of the bog close to the waterfall and onto the solider, if still misty and damp forest, rocks covered in soft spongy moss.

A faint strain was heard on the distant voice as the two stallions wrestled, the smaller, younger, and more vocal one grunting as he strained against the elder, trying to push him out of the ring as their fellows watched, hooves scraping on rock, "Grrngh! How could such.. Grrrah. An Old Man... NGGH... Be so Stro-" Another thump noise and a crackling noise of the bushes taking the wanna be knight Chantesuta was quickly sent tumbling out of the ring set up in the field in their camp to the cheers of his colleagues.

"Ho!" A different voice called out, laughing merrily with a melodious voice like rich honey, hooves stamping in merriment, "Seems to me, Chante, you should be more concerned with your footwork than your perceived concepts of my fathers age."

The laughter of Mycena and some of the other knights in training lead the alicorn mare through the forest and into a clearing, a brown regular stallion decked in feathers struggling a bit to right himself as he lay partially on his shoulders, his back hooves high above his head and his front curled in front of him.

A ring was scratched into the lichen on the ground to the rocks and marked with white pigment as well as the occasional mushroom, which glowed faintly in the mottled light of the forest, though the ring inside held little of it due to many years of scuffles and training, friendly spars to learn the tricks of the warrior-of-good and melee combat. Mares and stallions stood scattered around the ring, some coated in sweat from their turn in the ring while others either waited eagerly for their chance to show what they could do or were simply uninterested in trying

"unf" Chantesuta grunted a little as he righted himself near Leilani's feet,, shaking his head before responding back at the other young knight, his voice light as he laughed, "Doesnt change what I said... Oh come on Sing, dont look at me like that."

At the center of the ring, a lone stallion stood, eyebrow raised with an unamused expression at the other stallion, lips quirked slightly. He then motioned with his head towards the mare who just entered their midst, his expression softening slightly.

His eyes were warm and expressive, his head held high and proud but he held himself at a respectful ease. a Row of sharp, glowing gemstone blades lined his nose before reaching its last, tall peak between his eyes, soft mossy hair falling into them. Similar rows lined his shoulders, making the mutant unicorn mix look as if he'd make a formidable threat if he had the notion, though something in the way he held himself showed he was no threat. Calm, at peace, as if he hadn't just expertly sent the other stallion tumbling.

A soft smile played on his lips as he gave the alicorn mare a respectful bow, and he turned to look over his students, revealing the fact that, like his son, he had some of the glowing shrooms that lit their camp growing from his back. Each squire was met eye to eye, and motioned with a nod or toss of his head, a flick of his tail to their next task.

Once all but his top squires, his son and Chantesuta had left, he returned his attention to the mare, and gave her a much deeper bow of respect, before meeting her eyes and tilting his head out of curiousity, his expression quizzical, unsure of exactly why she was visiting.

Sorry for posting with more than just Singeri: Since he doesn't talk much its hard to post things to draw her in the right direction to their location without including the rest of the knighthood. And since he doesnt talk much himself, uuuuusually someone else ends up doing it for him. Cause he really doesnt LIKE talking unless he has good reason to.

'We'll this isn't what I expected' Leilani thought pensively. She had heard the sounds long before she had come across the actual arena where several stallions and mares were sparring. Cocking her head she watched the current match. It was fascinating how they could spar so brutally but still laugh and joke with each other, though in truth she'd never been around much fighting so she didn't have much to go on.
The match didn't last long however and after all the others were dismissed save for who she assumed was the Knight and possible his son or brother, and another male that looked nothing like the first two.
Shyly she returned the silent stallions bow, her wings spread wide to help balance herself. Once the formalities were past she smiled hesitantly. Not really one to seek others out this was a whole new experience for her.
"My apologies for intruding on your sparring match good sirs, but I am an Alicorn Healer on the search for a Knight who lives in this forest that grows a mushroom that can cure most ailments." Her ears turned forward to listen for the answer but she was unsure she'd get one from the older stallion as since she'd been here he'd not said a word. Maybe one of the other two though?

Oh its no worry. I don't mind multiple RP partners at all, in fact this is a first for Lei so its a lot more fun for me!

Singeri listened to her request, before giving her an amused, welcoming smile, tail curling slightly as he adjusted himself slightly so his side was facing her once more, sort of pointing at the mushrooms on his back with a look that confirmed that he was the one she was seeking. He tossed his mane out of his expressive eyes, the irises glowing electric in the dimmed, opening his mouth to speak.

"yeah, you found him, though he's a 'chatty' fellow if you catch my sarcasm." Chantesuta butted in between them, the somewhat petite stallion trying to puff himself up to look important, "both Singeri and Mycena here grow the shrooms... Its.." He looks over at the two and leans in conspiratorially, whispering playfully, "its actually sort of freaky that they can snap it off and plant it other places."

Giving the stallion a rather flat expression, Singeri sighed softly before nodding in embarrassed agreement -- the fact they were born with the mushrooms were one of the oddities of the Kawani lands, and the fact that, even though they could plant them elsewhere, they came from them did 'freak' other soquili out sometimes if they knew the origin. Though more soquili felt safer about it knowing they were the origin of the mushrooms rather than the mushrooms being a natural thing that began to grow on them, as odd traits weren't exactly unheard of, but parasitic mushrooms on the other hand were something to worry about. Thankfully it was not the case.

"M'lady, it is good you came when you did however -- we were just finishing up the lesson for the day." Mycena gently moved Chantesuta out of the mares personal space, the expressive face he inherited from his father painted with apologetic embarrassment, "Im sure my father would love to show you around and get you some of the mushrooms and show you around the camp...."

Leilani eyed the trio of stallions in front of her hesitantly. She didn't want to say something wrong and upset the two that bore the mushrooms. "I, personally, don't think its freaky at all. My travels have brought me to some strange places and I have seen some unique things but I am not the type to judge others. My mother taught me that is a terrible thing to do to someone." Her voice was gentle and sweet sounding, but held a slightly scolding tone in it aimed towards the stallion who'd originally called the plant life springing from their backs freaky. She immediately realized what she had done and blinked at Chantesuta, "I am so sorry! I didn't mean to sound so scolding.... Its a terrible habit that I learned from my herd brother's familiar." Danyla had a habit of mothering people right into the dirt, especially if they had a habit of being judgmental or mean spirited. That little purple pronghorn could even make even a skinwalker feel bad, or so Rhamiel would say.
She tried her hardest to look anywhere but at Chantesuta, feeling awful about scolding him. When the younger mushroom bearing stallion stated that his father would be happy to show her around the camp and get her some of the mushroom's she latched onto the words happily. "I appreciate that you are so welcoming toward my intrusion of your home. When I started seeking the grower of the magic mushroom's I hadn't thought to find something quite like this..." She trailed off looking out over their home. Though nestled in a darker forest it was very beautiful, the glowing mushroom's lending the world a surreal hint. Her orange tipped wing flicked open and closed, the nervous habit showing itself once again.

Giving a soft chuckling knicker as Chantesuta fidgeted and mumbled his apologies, Singeri smiled as he shifted his potion to head for the old Trappers hut that had once held a strange individual in it -- while the being had gone decades prior, when he had taken over the old hut and had it changed, there were legends of the location having a pale skinned twolegger with green eyes and curly hair and a magic stick that shot thunder and hail that would hunt the local familiar population, focusing soully on the actively sentient -- especially the raccoons and River otters-- for their pelts as if they were a skinwalker and ransacking them of any accessories or jewelry they might have had and melting the gold into bars , only to leave the furs hanging along side the hut as they cured in smoke for transport. Eventually, though, the familiars had gathered assistance and staged an attack, driving the fur hunter out and giving the remnants of their loved ones proper burials.

The location was beautiful, but contained a taint to it from the legends. Which was why Singeri chose it for his base, to help bring healing to the legend, make good out of the bad, and train knights who would actively work to prevent that and other horrors from being committed. However, Singeri thought, that wasn't something their guest needed to know -- she was interested in the mushrooms and their healing properties, not the history of the land and their headquarters.

He looked over his shoulder expectantly, smiling as he gave a little jerking tip of his head, clearly wanting her to follow.

Mycena nodded a bit, stepping back and bowing to Leilani, "Well, I should leave you to your research tour. Don't mind my fathers silence -- he doesnt talk much unless he needs to. "

She watched as Chantesuta mumbled his apologies and felt bad about scolding him once again but what was done is done.
A soft smile crossed her features when Mycena explained he was leaving her to his father's care. She inclined her head at him, grateful for his kindness, which was so much more than she expected when stumbling across this place.

Turning finally to Singeri she stepped up near to him and said, "Thank you for being so welcoming. I admit I wasn't quite sure what I'd find when coming here but this place is beyond beautiful." Her smile was back full force as she took in every sight and sound. This place truly was a wonder.
