They would find Edith and Simon quietly going over various files, Dwight off to the side working off a runic tablet. Once they'd all arrived, Edith began without preamble, setting several files down on the the desk in front of her, "We've got a few missions, available for those of you willing to prove their readiness to rank up. There's several schools that have popped up with odd occurences, as well as a few beaches. Mostly investigation work with a chance of fighting, suitable for one or two trainees to handle." A couple more folders, "Rogue portals have been cropping up all over the world, and those tend to be wildcards. And since it's been too quiet for the past...week, several bases have been attacked or are just plain missing, along with the hunters who were in stationed there. Either of these sorts, you better either be ready to go full hunter, or have one to take with you." the ooc RP your hunter picking a mission folder! There are several of each, so don't worry about dibs! The location on each folder is up to you (for example: you pick the school mission, you get to choose the location of said school) You can either solo these, pick a partner among other promo candidates, or pick any other hunter to come along. The largest group allowed is 3! Pick from: The School (moderate difficulty) The Beach (moderate difficulty) Rogue Portals (harder difficulty, write-y prompts) Rogue Bases (harder difficulty, fight-y prompts)

When Cami's phone buzzed with the text she'd been otherwise occupied and didn't get it immediately. It wasn't until the all-important pillow fight ended with her pinned on the floor while Otto sat on her back, smugly enticing promises of free chocolate out of her as apology for the error in her ways, Maebe laughing at the pair of them, that she saw the text. Her yelp was immediate as was their concern. No one could forget Maebe's broken jaw, after all, but Cami was determined. Intermediate? In four months? Hell yes! She'd earned the chance to try! Still, she consulted the full Hunter at her disposal as to what to expect, and how to prepare. Durable jeans, a few extra runes in case of emergencies, and a glare when she mentioned she didn't have any runic bandages or anything of the sort. Suited, well-fed, hydrated, Cami listened to the Moon Lead, mind already made up on her task. Rogue portals? Great risk. Greater reward if she could only get the chance to shine. Hell, it'd probably dump her in the ******** Sahara anyway and God knew she was used to that place. Picking up the briefing folder on the portals she stood off to one side. Build your own team? She knew exactly who to ask. lizbot Otto and Maebe will be going with Cami.

Noemi was in the room at the determined time. Her gaze went from Dwight to Simon to Edith, none of which were her leaders but...that didn't seem a bad thing. She was proud of the fact that within four months, they had considered her for her promotion. Even if it made her even more nervous at the same time.
She laced her hands together, unlaced and then laced them back again, staring at her feet as they were briefed for the mission. It wasn't till Shu came in that Noemi would relax and the death trainee would find her best friend next to her.
"Do...Do you want to do one together?" she murmured to the petite girl. "Some of them...seem very dangerous."

Chel nearly peed herself she was so elated. Not because she was promoting. Okay well yes because she was promoting, but more importantly she was getting promoted before Jack. AKA: SHE WAS BETTER THAN HIM.
This was the greatest day ever and literally nothing was going to stop her. The leaders could've set her on the entirety of Halloween and she would've found a way to do it.
When she arrived in the assessment room, she was a bit more nervous though. Higher ups always made her feel awkward, and Edith, Simon and Dwight were the real deal. Especially Simon. She knew he was her division assistant- he was the one she had to impress, right?
Something about rogue portals and then Chel was lost. She'd noticed Chris had walked into the room and immediately scooted around the crowd to throw her arm around his shoulder. She would've noogied him but it was neither the time nor the place. "Looks like you're movin' up, eh?" she whispered, patting him on the shoulder. "I'm gonna get to boss you around." Ah yes, there was what really mattered to Chel.
She moved forward and picked up a folder, not really reading the cover. "Yo you gonna be my partner right? Me and you? Two musketeers?" She really didn't need to ask, but there was also a sort of nervousness in her voice. It was like being lined up to pick teams for kickball at recess. If her own cousin didn't pick her ...

Jason had been drinking a cup of coffee in his room when he nearly choked upon reading the text message. It was time, he was going for the promotion mission. It had been so long since he had been promoted to intermediate and now he would soon be a full hunter! Well, if he succeed at this mission.
It didn't take him long to get ready, and soon enough he was walking through the doors trying not to look like a nervous wreck. The sight of his division lead didn't help much, and seeing Simon there he was about to have second thought (he didn't want to get shot again).
Steeling his courage, he listened quietly and glanced at the mission folders on the desk. Others were already choosing ones to do, yet he wasn't sure which to pick.
After a few minutes deliberating, he picked up the beach folder. Because beaches were nice, right?

Chris may or may not have done a small dance when he got the text. Thankfully, Lydia had been gone already off to do something else, or it would have been really embarrassing. He was extremely pumped to finally be given the chance at promotion. That meant he was working hard and he was catching up to Chel! Hell yeah!
He walked into the room, and within seconds his dreams crumbled. He swayed under his arm and groaned. "Noooo! You can't be getting a promotion I was so close! Ughhh." He tilted his head to lean it on her shoulder sadly. He was never going to catch up to here.
He followed her to the folders and took the one she grabbed out of her hand. "Of course I'm going to be your partner, don't be dumb. Sun and moon for life."

Chel gave Chris a grin and knocked heads with him in a strange sort of familial headbutt. "Alright moon of my life. Which one we gonna do?" She picked up one of each of the other folders. One said something about school and she immediately threw that out. "Well that's not flyin'."
The beach sounded nice, but the last time she'd gone to a place that promised warm sunny beaches, she ended up on an ugly, gloomy island that was identical to Deus Ex. No thanks. She wanted to escape somewhere, not repeat the same monotony.
"I'm between the portals and bases. Bases sound kinda dangerous." Not that that was a problem. If she had Chris guarding her, they could do anything.

He flipped through the folders as well, not even blinking when she threw out the school one. He didn't blame her. School sucked. He wasn't even that distraught when the beach folder went in the same direction. It probably would have sucked anyways.
"I'm tired of dangerous. Let's do the portals. Maybe we'll end up somewhere cool." He took the bases one out of her hand and slapped it down with the other two in the reject pile, leaving only their chosen folder.

Well that was that. Chel had never been the type to really thinking anything through, and if Chris was in agreement then it was just that much better. Problem solved and deed done.
She opened the folder and began reading, only the sparsest of details. "Then we're set bruh." She slapped Chris a RADICAL high five and then approached Simon and Edith. "We'll take this one? That cool?" She held up the folder and looked expectantly for their permission, like a puppy waiting to go outside.lizbot Group: Chelsea Craft & Chris Axten Folder: Rogue Portals (harder difficulty, write-y prompts)

Feng nearly cried when he got the text message. He did it! He was being chosen for promotion he didn't suck he was going to rise up the ladder! Okay maybe he really did cry. But only a little.
When he got to the room he swayed in a corner awkwardly for a long time, afraid to be the first to choose a folder. He didn't want to choose something dumb, or the trick folder that would definitely weed him out of the group (despite the fact that this folder probably didn't exist.) He bit at his nails, looking around anxiously.
He saw another guy pick up the beach folder he'd been eyeing. Maybe? No. No way. There wasn't a chance he'd want to hook up with Feng and do it together. That was a stupid thought. But maybe it wasn't...
He clenched his fists and steeled himself. He could do this. He walked up to him and tapped his shoulder lightly. "Uhm.. Do you think... Would you mind... Would it be okay if we did that mission together? Like as a team? Unless you don't want to that's okay too."
Smooth like silk.

Looking up when he had been tapped, Jason was surprised to see someone was asking him out of all people to team up. "M-me?" He replied, glancing over the hunter who had asked him. The guy appeared just as nervous as himself. He felt attached to him already. "S-sure, That would be great!" He smiled. Teaming up with someone meant they would have a better chance of completing the mission, as well as having a extra pair of eyes to look out for danger. He then held out his hand to introduce himself "My names Jason Kenneth, whats yours?"

Woah. Woah. Molly couldn't believe she had gotten the text. The text. The one that was going to, hopefully, raise her from her two year intermediate status and to full hunter. Finally. Hopefully.
Molly entered the administration room, listened to what was said, and then looked around a tad nervously. Should she...tackle something solo or...
She looked lost. She didn't know.

Shu didn't expect for the message to come, the girl who was like a patched doll from the spar apologized and asked her partner to wait for her a while so that she could check her phone. Unlike some hunters who had a happy reaction, the girl wiped the sweat on the screen and stared at the text not until the partner impatiently put their huge sword on his shoulder and called her that she announced the spar was over. The petite girl went to the washroom to take a shower at second floor, before she went back to her room to pack her belongings. She talked to Mimsy on phone for what she should wear and bring and what kind of situations she may encounter and the possible solutions. For the Asian trainee, the Life huntress was always the answer. She arrived at the room with a rather sulky face and didn't go to the front row as she usually did, instead, she stayed at the back row, like a small rabbit hiding in the forest, and listened. Among the three assistants presented, she only knew Dwight, but just because he was on twitter. It made she felt a little bit easier to stay in the room, she didn't move until the briefing was ended and people scattered like scared ants to find their teams. Shu closed her eyes and changed to a happier face when she walked to the front so that her redhead friend would notice her, her own issues didn't need to be bothered. "Hello Mimi~ Congratulations for your hard work!" She gave the Mist huntress a big warm hug. Her question? Shu moved forward to check the files on the table before she returned. "Hmm...I wanna try the more difficult one, what do you think?" After all the spars and training courses, she would like to test her ability as a hunter, the Otto's course broken all her confidence. Yet, Shu didn't want to drag her friend into unnecessary trouble if she wished not. With Noemi's consent, the only problem existed was to grab a full hunter with them. The petite girl looked around the room and it might have sparkled when she saw a certain familiar figure. She asked her friend to wait for a moment before she squished through the hunters in teams to appear in front of the said huntress."MOLLYYYYYYYY~" She glomped like a naughty cat attacking her back and shortly jumped down after a face rub. "Are you coming for a promotion? Would you like to join us -" She paused exactly after the "us" and looked at the further part of the room. Shu started to pull the huntress in wrist gently and with determination inside while she talked, "Let's meet my friend first, she's a sweet cute girl, and then you can decide whether to go with us~" Shu re-appeared at Noemi as she promised. "Mimi, this's Molly. Molly, Mimi's a good friend of mine, you two both come from Mist!" The girl beamed in happiness for the introduction but shortly returned her attention to the more experienced huntress. "So we want to try the rogue one's, can you join us?" Shu showed the Rogue Bases file and waved, maybe looking at her with pity big eyes found on small animals like kittens or puppies. Please~She said that with her eyes. Noemi gave Shu just as equally of a warm hug. She FELT something might be up with the Death trainee but since she was smiling and hugging others, Noemi didn't mention it. It was probably her own nervousness for the promo getting in her way.
Molly was wrangled into their little threesome and Noemi clapped her hands together. Luckily, Noemi knew Molly too but didn't bother to correct Shu in her introductions. She was too cute!
"Y..Yes Miss molly! Will you join us?"

Luckily, Molly didn't have to fret about riding solo or getting a group for too long. She let out a surprised gasp as glomped by someone, a someone who soon turned out to be a familiar trainee who she had sparred with recently. "Oh, Shu! Hello!" Molly exclaimed, relieved and smiling as she reached out to pat the girl on the head. "What's that? You want me to--" She gasped again. "REALLY!? Oh! I'd love to! Thank you so much! I'm so touched you'd ask!" Shu really didn't have to twist Molly's arm, and she easily followed the trainee as she guided her over to Noemi. "Ah, hello, Noemi! It's so good to see you again!" She greeted before she grimaced a bit. "A-ah......no Miss, please! Remember? Thank you!" She then tilted her head and gave the both of them a fox eyed smile. "Oh, yes! If you'll both have me, of course! Thank you!" Meegane Not as sweet as you bby /nibbles back lizbot Group: Shu, Noemi and Molly Folder: Rogue Bases (harder difficulty, fight-y prompts)
