"Claws of the Lion!"

The shout hadn't been heard in some time, and even now, the two handfuls of fire blades that cut through the air sped toward nothing more sinister than empty cans, several of which clunked over, one with a label starting to burn.

"Damn..." Regulus... Eternal Regulus, rubbed a hand over his mouth and chin and frowned, frustrated that his own aim wasn't better, but then.... it had never been an easy attack to aim, and with a limited number of times when he could use it, it was difficult to practice.

....And even out here on a damp walking trail where he could avoid setting things on fire easily, he had apparently attracted attention other than a handful of fireflies and tree frogs.

"Hey!" He called out, as a power signature tickled its way onto his radar. "...Just practicing. Join me if you want..."

They weren't chaos, he was sure of that at least... so it couldn't hurt... right?

Chaldene had been out walking, patrolling...whatever you called it. He liked to think of it was simply walking around, never mind the clothing he wore or the aura he gave off. He didn't want to think too heavily on the fact he might just find himself being attacked, nope that wasn't his thing. He didn't like fighting, he'd had enough crap in his life, this wasn't to say he wouldn't fight if he needed to protect someone or himself as he was placing a higher value on himself lately; not to mention a certain senshi of tigers was getting through to him a bit more.

Maybe that was why that when he felt the aura of another senshi, one more powerful, he headed in that direction. The super senshi's shoes hitting the ground as easily as his converse all stars did. He was actually rather pleased with his uniform, it was comfortable though in the summer it was hot.

Stopping out of range of being seen, or seeing the other, he wondered how to approach. he wasn't the most social nor was he good at trying to be, it was still an awkward thing for him, talking to and meeting others like himself. Hearing the voice call out to him he peered around the corner and stared for a moment, the wings and the aura telling him what the other was. "Umm...sure...yeah - ok." And he stepped into the area where the other was practicing and glanced about. "I wasn't interrupting anything...was I?" Some people did like to be by themselves and were private people, himself normally included, thus the question as he wanted to make sure he wasn't bothering the other.

Toying with the backing for one of the piercings in his mouth he watched the other, trying to figure out what he was senshi of. Lions perhaps? He didn't ask though and so observed and waited, and toying with that piercing as was his nervous habit.

"Nah man, just trying to get a little less rusty with my aim." Regulus shrugged. "Regulus, senshi of Pride." He introduced himself, turning and extending a hand to the other Senshi. The crisp white and dark blue made him think of a palate shifted Castor, but he sort of hoped he wouldn't find this guy raiding someone's intimates drawer without permission.

"I don't think we've met, but I've been... out of the loop." Which was really a sort of vague way of saying he'd been sticking his head in the sand and pretending that he had nothing to do with any of this these days.

Smiling, ever so hesitently, he took the offered hand and shook. "Chaldene, will'o'the wisp." Which really translated to distracting wisps of light. He didn't say that but it's what he did; at least it wasn't something painful. He was still glad he didn't have some painful attack which hurt others, even if they were out to kill him, he didn't like the idea of hurting others.

"I'm somewhat new and I don't tend to be very involved." He stated slowly, not wanting to state his dislike of fighting and his hesitancy toward it. That would become apparent if something should happen anyway, so why mention it? "Though Tsui, the senshi of tigers, has been sort of pushing me to get out more." These words were soft but rushed, stumbled on a little bit, as mentioned Tsui he almost seemed to decide to mention what she was senshi of and did so in a rushed manner. He was the nervous sort when it came to talking to people, something he unfortunately made obvious.

"I... haven't met Tsui but that I guess is where we differ. I don't think throwing people into the deep end is a great way to go about things. That's what Astrea did with me and I've never forgiven her..."

He clenched his fist again, similar to the position they had been in before he'd thrown slashes of fire through the night.

"Man I bet you were hoping I was Lions. Do you know a Senshi of Bears? It would really make a great set up." He chuckled, sarcastically, and unclenched his knotted fist to rake his fingers at loose blond hair.

"What do your powers do?" He asked, curiously. "...In spite of not -technically- being after a certain loud big cat, it's... fairly thematic... and involves a lot of heat. I guess the connection to Pride is a bit open to interpretation."

"It's just how Tsui is...she's a fighter." And obviously he wasn't. It had never been how he was, and while it was changing he would certainly not be like Tsui and some others. "I can't be angry, or upset, with Tsui though. It's who she is and I'm just - very different." Shoulders lifted and went down as he shrugged them at the end of his words.

"A senshi of bears...no. I'm afraid I don't know a lot of senshi actually." Prodding the inside of one of his oral piercings. How any senshi where there? And just what were they all senshi of? Was there some like..directory or something? A list maybe of name and sphere? He'd like to see if there was such a thing, as he was curious about this.

Brushing his fringe of black hair away from his face he took a glance down at his shoes. "That would be a good team though. There might be a senshi of bears...I mean it seems like there are a lot of senshi." He said slowly, hesitating on his words before he lifted his head and stared at the other. "My power...not much. I'm sure it's nothing like yours. Mine is thankfully nothing dangerous or harmful, it's just distracting. I mean do you know what a will of the wisp is?" He asked before wondering if he should actually demonstrate it, it wasn't like it would hurt the other. "I can show you...if you want." Again his eyes took to staring at his shoes.

"I've got a rough idea, weren't they supposed to lead travelers off the path?" He asked. The way he remembered them, it was frequently to the detriment of the traveler, who was frequently then not only lost but lead into a bog to their doom.

"But I wouldn't fret too much. I mean, no one can actually force you to power up generally... and we figured out early on that some powers work better in conjunction with others. Not everyone gets into this game and finds out they're the tank, you know?"

He wasn't even sure he was using the right term, but he thought it might get the point across. Not having a power that necessarily did huge damage didn't make you useless, it might in fact make you very useful when paired with others.

"I think we even had a couple that could heal maybe... It's been a while. I don't even know if they're still around."

Sleet Tempest Snape
Didn't you have a nega you were thinking of throwing in? Or am I misremembering?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 13, 2014 1:24 pm

"They are, mine just distract people, they're useful to get out of a tight spot and run." At least for him it was run, for others it would help to distract so they could...do whatever they had to do. At least the other knew what they were, as he wasn't sure most people would know. he'd had to look it up himself, it wasn't one of those useless bits of information that he'd known already.

Nodding his head, quickly, he smiled some more, the other was using terms he understood with the reference to tanking. "Yeah, some are better off ranged and not tanking. I'm not much for melee either. But yeah...I know what you mean, I worked well with Tsui when she needed the help. I do know one who can heal but she's new also...sneshi of prayer." he stated with a smile. he liked her, she was kind and had been excited to see his power and enjoyed the little flickering wisps of light. "I can always...umm..introduce you to her if you want to meet her." The offer came after a few moments of silence, where he'd been thinking over making the offer. Was it too odd to make? Would the senshi of prayer want to meet this senshi?

(Nope, you weren't misremembering. I just wasn't sure which way, general or youma. I can bring my General in then at some point. ^__^ )

"Sounds like you'd do well in a team, especially if you have someone who needs a minute to warm up. I mean... if you know someone like that and can stand them. Also a good attack to cover retreat or just disrupt someone elses attack. So... see, not useless."

He shrugged and glanced back at the cans, the one that had been set on fire had gone out, save for a feeble whisp of smoke.

"Mine's more in the lines of 'hard to aim, voted ridiculously likely to cause property damage. I kinda blew up a car once."

"Useless in a fight if I'm alone and against one of them who can teleport." He'd had a few not so good run in's with Negaverse agents and thankfully he'd been saved each time, he had a feeling if someone hadn't saved his a** he wouldn't have made it. "But yeah...a team might be good...I know I'm sort of loosely tied to the Jovians but I don't really talk to them or anything. Chaldene is a moon of Jupiter though."

Follow the others gaze his noted the lightly smoking can and figured the others attack had to be something impressive, something that could do a good deal of damage he assumed. He could be wrong of course, but he doubted it right now.

"You blew up..a car. That's hard to picture and yet with the damages going on in this city for years it's also not..." He stated with a sheepish laugh. "I'd like to see it one day...just to see. I mean there are so many senshi and so many attacks, I guess I'm just interested in what powers people have." Had he picked that up from the senshi of prayer? Wanting to see others attacks and see what others could do.? Likely.

Benitoite was out, moving across the roof tops of Destiny City when he felt it, or rather them, two energy signatures and neither was a low ranked senshi. One was a second ranked senshi while one he was sure was an eternal senshi. "How interesting." Did he go after them or no? Standing on a roof top he tapped one foot, several times, as he tilted his head to the side in as he pondered the idea. "Might as well." Smiling he took off toward the signatures.

The speed and ease he moved across the skyline of the city spoke of how long he'd been at it; of no fear of slipping and falling. As he jumped across the gap between two buildings he summoned his weapon into his hand; which he gripped tightly. He was closing in on them and he'd be there soon. As he thought about it his grip tightened on his weapon as he jumped another roof top and landed on the gaps opposite side, boots hitting the roof top with a low thud sound.

"Well there was this youma that ate part of it first so the fu...." He stopped mid sentence as the hairs on the back of his neck prickled at a fast moving signature of Chaos Energy.

God. Jovians. Somehow he couldn't quite escape Jovian orbit, not since Europa, even though he was pretty sure that there wasn't a hint of relation between Regulus and Jupiter.

"Chaldene, over here. We've got trouble." He warned, though he was pretty sure this was obvious. Damn, and he'd already burned one of his weaker attacks, so to speak. He still had attacks left, but it made him nervous to not be going into battle with a full charge.

A youma ate part of a car? He would have asked about it but just as the other was cut off so was he. he felt it also and shivered; chaos. Someone was coming and it felt like they were coming fast. "I'll help...if I can." He wouldn't leave the other to handle whoever it was on his own. He couldn't do much but he'd do whatever he could.

Moving closer to the other he stepped behind him, just a single step, as he felt his nerves kick in; they were getting closer. he wanted to bolt but he couldn't. he couldn't just leave Regulus alone, it wasn't right, so he remained right behind the other.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 13, 2014 4:56 pm

As he got closer he dropped to the ground and continued closing in on the duo. He didn't run, and tire himself out, but he wasn't slow either as he moved. Spear in hand and held tightly at hide side. His hair, which he'd let grow out over time, was loose and hung about his face as strands fell into his face and obscured his eyes partially

"So close..." The two, simple words, were purred out as the blond came to the opening to an alleyway and ducked down it. They were around here, all he had to do was find them. "Come out little senshi..." He called out in a voice that was far too sweet to be sincere. The rustle of fabric, coat and cape, and the weapon in hand that was longer than he was tall, he looked small and yet his aura spoke of power. The blond was confident, perhaps too confident, as he sought out his query.

Regulus apparently had no intention of hiding, but then his attacks left little to stealth to begin with as he gesture Chaldine behind him. Slightly insulting to the the Super Senshi perhaps, but...

Either way he didn't want Chaldine to be in the path of the attack he was about to kick off as greeting to the incoming Agent.

"Regulus, Summon the Prince!"

If their auras didn't give some indication of their position, the spectral lion that burst toward the approaching Negaverse General certainly was bound to give a certain impression.

Quote:
Summon the Prince: ((WIP)): Regulus summons an spectral lion, largely translucent and flickering with ghostly fire, with it's brightest point being the dazzlingly bright light at the heart of the creature. The lion lunges to attack the senshi's foes, though it's strike is not that of a corporeal lion, and instead strikes as a powerful wave of heat and force, intended to drive an foe back or bring them to their knees in parody of surrender. The attack is not un-dodgeable, and a strong enough opponent is likely be able to stand their ground.
