Vallhiem- a world of spectacular technological advancement, filled with prosperity, but also much pain and suffering for those who are not lucky enough to be born into high society. Genetic modifications have taken over and the capital city, Glacien, is run by those who have been modified to be immune to disease, never having to bother to lift a hand for themselves as they higher those who they believe are below them. In the capital those with Dark brown or black hair are 'genetically' superior. Those with brown or ginger hair are common class and anyone born with lighter hair are seen as nothing but vermin and are treated as so- used for manual labour. The kind of jobs no human being should have to tend to. It is a system they've used for years, but now people are starting to revolt…and there is talk of war.
Arellia- a world of magic, primitive compared to Vallhiem, but still they prosper and everything is at peace. No one is above anyone. Every being is born with magic, though they are only blessed with one power, and each persons magic carries a certain scent. Within the capital city, Levalli, a grand magic academy teaches those with talents and the aptitude to accomplish so much more - to discover new uses for their magics. Everything is peaceful.

Orion Lelluana The scent of Lilac seemed to drift into the air from under the door, a warm violet glow slipping beneath as well. "Yes! Did it" exclaimed the cause of the shining light. A boy with crimson hair stood within his dorm room, a student of the Magic Academy… a male with a affinity for fire magic. In his had was a ball of magic, that shone with a violet hue…the colour of his fire, despite the fact that fire was generally red. The ball emitted warmth, but it didn't burn, however the males eyes did seem to glow with inner fire lit by this exciting new discovery. "Solidifying my fire…. I wonder If I could make it into other objects as well" He muttered to himself as he set the sphere down on his desk.
"Perhaps I can infuse it with another magic…." He added quietly to himself, digging through a drawer in his desk, pulling out a small vile with a glowing yellow substance. "time…. Rare but perhaps worth it" he purred, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips as he poured the yellow substance into the palm of his hand, feeling the magic tingle against his skin. "lets see how this goes" he breathed, warmth trickling from the tips of his fingers with a soft violet hue, slipping towards his palm. However the moment his magic met with the golden magic in his palm things went….bad.
He gasped as it flared up in his hand, violet eyes widening as his heart skipped a beat and the light shot out in all directions, enveloping the male who was rendered unconscious the moment it hit him.
Cold air hit him like a rush of icy water, violet eyes fluttering open. The first thing he saw was a sky tainted slightly with a murky brown hue. "That…. looks awful" He breathed, his brow knitting together as he sat up, finding himself in an alleyway…..of two broken looking buildings… metal buildings? "What in the world" He gasped as he quickly got to his feet, nothing looked familiar.
"Or rather where…." He continued, a wave of fear rolling through him like a wave, this wasn't good. "Great…you really messed up this time" He commented quietly, making his way forward. The moment he left the alley way….well needless to say he was terrified. Metal buildings stood tall- nearly reaching the clouds. And he felt ill. People stopped to stare at him, muttering to each other…pointing at the boy. His red hair stood out like a sore thumb, and everyone seemed so…. plain? Only shades of brown and natural reds coloured the hair of the people around him, and the clothing was…dull as well. For a moment he stood there, before he turned and darted back into the Alleyway- running until his lungs burned. Eventually he crouched down next to a dumpster, resting his head on his arms as he tried to catch his breath…what was he supposed to do now? This was…well, definitely not Arellia… He'd messed up big time.

A job at the steal mill in the 'ghetto' of this fair city was where a lost of the blonde haired men and women worked. It was long hours and brutal conditions and there was also the fact that in this city, the most important thing was steal and metals for buildings and other innovations being created form the material worked on. Balthazar was among the many there as he worked strange hours and it was never set in stone how long he was needed to work. Today happened to be a 12 hour non-stop shift from 3am all the way to 2pm. Needless to say by the time he was done he was ready to fall over and die. Worst of all he had no money at the moment and pay would be the end of the month and therefore he had no food. But of course much like all the poor men and women like him he would have to resort to his vermin status and search for food already thrown out, foods not wanted or carelessly thrown out by the higher status society.
He lived in an apartment that was a single room with a mattress on the floor, a fan with only two propellers left and a leaky small refrigerator as well as a small stove he used to cook whatever he had to. Needless to say it was a terrible way to live but it was what he called home. When he reached home he collapsed on the mattress where he remained asleep for two hours. After that hunger woke him and thus he made his way out and wondered from alley to alley looking for food.
At long last he jumped into a dumpster and began to rumage through it and managed to find two happles that were rotten only half way so he could easily eat the good half. He placed those two in his backpack and then continued his search. Balthazar managed to find a block of cheese with slight mold on it and some sausages that were still decently edible so long as he cooked them till they burned. So with that he put them in this bag and was ready to leave and head back until he heard soemone catching their breath. Looking out he looked down to see some extremely red headed fellow crouching there as if he had finished running a marathon.
"Hey buddy, gotta look for food else where. Everything in here is already covered in rat s**t or maggots and I got everything still edible. Try the next alley." From there he started to climb out and dusted himself off. At the moment unknown to the stranger, there was a large white lion sitting beside the dumpster still unseen and it was best he remain hidden...plus he was currently eating a rat.

Orion Lelluana The red head flinched when he heard the voice, having not actually noticed the man in the dumpster until now. He lifted his head quickly, his violet orbs shining in the dim lighting- which probably seemed a bit off-putting to the man. After all, people didn't have purple eyes here. His gaze then shifted to the dumpster, his eyes widening slightly…. "You.. You're eating from a dumpster?" He gasped, bringing his gaze back to the blonde. "T-that…" He breathed as he staggered to his feet, shivering as a cool wind wound it's way through the alleyway. 'it's getting late…and the temperature is dropping fast'
"That can't be healthy…" He continued softly, frowning to himself… Where in the world had he ended up… His gaze then wandered again, and he felt himself tense as he spotted the large feline. "What in the world is that" He gasped as he stepped back, shock dancing in his large violet orbs as the magic in his veins thrummed to be use- to defend him, but he kept it at bay.

Balthazar watched the young man with curious eyes though he felt a bit insulted when he asked why he was eating out of the dumpster. Though he had red hair he probably had a better job and he probably could afford to buy something while most who ate out of the trash were mostly blondes like him. "Look here you a*****e. If you gotta problem with how my kind eat then just stick with yours. Ain't we poor bastards suppose to stick together? s**t...don't need to come here and talk about eating healthy like some higher up." He bit a piece of the rotten apple as he looked back at the Lion who had gotten up and strode over, sitting beside Balthazar.
It was then that Balthazar noticed the red head had no animal with him as he grew a bit wary of him now. Most who had no animal were the ones who got them taken away from the higher ups and those people typically lost their minds. It was sad really. But inthis case it made sense. The way he was dressed and his eyes..and the way he spoke indicated that he probably went crazy.
"This is Babu, my soul duh. Erryone got one. But guess your's was taken?" He looked down at the Lion who was licking his paws as he reached down and patted his large head.
The the red headed man the Lion's roaring and slight purring like sounds sounded just like that..like what a normal lion sounded like, but to Balthazar the lion was speaking.
"He doesn't smell right to me. Never smelled him before and he oddly smells of Lilac only a smell found in the high ups 'land'." Babu looked back at the red head as he barred his teeth at him before standing and simply stood beside Balthazar.
"That so?" He mumbled at the lion then looked at the red head. "So where you from? You ain't from these slums. You got in on luck and live with the high ups, living good? Come here to brag did ya?" All of this was most likely making no sense but how was he suppose to know that the red head was from another world entirely. It was one accusation after another.

Orion Lelluana Orion felt his face flush, he hadn't meant to sound like he was insulting the other man! He had thought it to be a rather innocent question. "N-no I didn't mean to insult you! I just, well, I've never seen buildings like these, or met anyone who had to eat something others have thrown away. This place is just… It feels wrong. It's cold and I haven't seen a single plant since I woke up and…." he voiced, catching his breath as he realized he was rambling on.
"My…soul? I'm sorry I don't quite understand" He continued, watching the feline warily as it barred it's teeth at him, not liking the look of those razor like fangs. Had the man just understood the noises that came from that creature? All of this seemed so messed up.
"I really don't understand- I come from Levalli- it's the capital of Arellia. It's….well. Honestly I think I screwed up big time" He murmured, lifting a hand to run his fingers through his crimson hair. Again he shivered as a cold breeze brushed against his skin "Sorry, give me a second… It's getting hard to see and i'm cold" He muttered, and lifted one hand. For a moment nothing happened and he probably seemed crazy, just holding his hand like that- and then the violet fire seemed to ski form his skin and hover in the air, a ball of violet fire which gave off a gentle warmth. The scent of Lilacs drifted more potently into the air, and he let out a soft sigh- comforted by the fact that he could still call upon his magic.
"Thank the gods.." He muttered, before he turned his gaze back towards the blonde. "I really didn't mean to offend you."

Okay, so the young guy was crazy. The poo delusional b*****d. Balthazar shook his head and looked down at Babu who looked up at him and they had the same thought in mind and that was to simply w away and leave the crazy one to himself. Or course he was still curious and therefore stood there watching the males moves as he seemed to be doing something odd with his hand out or whatever the hell he was doing. Maybe he was on some strong drugs.
Nevertheless when the oddly colored fire appeared, Babu had been the first to react. He had gotten startled and in response he let out a loud ferocious roar. He roared again while saying, "He must be a demon of sorts! Hurry and go while I distract him!"
With another loud roar to try and strike fear in the the male, Balthazar made his escape. He turned and ran down the alley as Babu turned as well and ran off and easily caught up to Balthazar as he now ran beside him. Balthazar then jumped onto the lion's back and rode on him while they made their escape. However due to how moody the area seemed to be and the moister from earlier that day the lion left it's tracks that could most likely be followed.

Orion Lelluana Orion flinched when the lion roared at him, not exactly sure why there was suddenly so much hostility. "A-ah wait!" He yelped as the man took off, followed by the lion. He let the fire dissipate as he moved forwards, following the lions paw prints rather than staying in the alley way. It was getting dark and cold and honestly this was the only person who'd stopped to talk to him…and he needed answers.
He found himself outside the door of a very broken down looking apartment. Swallowing hard he knocked on the door "I-….I don't know why you ran away or if I did something wrong and I'm sorry if I did! But I really need help- just some answers, please! I'm begging you. I don't know what to do. One moment I'm in my dorm room trying out some new magic and I must've messed something up and now i'm here and I don't even know where here is!" He voiced, not really sure if the man was listening through the door or not- but he did need help.
"I won't use my magic again if you don't like it! I just got cold and my element is fire- it's a part of me… like…I think, perhaps something like your soul that you were talking about" He continued, feeling desperate and thus he just continued. 'I know!'
"I can provide heat! free heat would be good right? If living conditions are bad…" he continued, letting the magic trickle into his hand, and he cupped his hands together, solidifying the magic in his hand and creating another sphere which radiated warmth. "Just..let me show you? This little sphere in my hand will never stop radiating warmth! And if you don't want it anymore you can just break it, it's as simple as that!" he continued, literally desperate just to get some kind of help.

When the two had reached their home they sat there on the mattress discussing what just happened. There was no way of having an explination however after five minutes there was a knock on the door and by the sound of the perons voice it was clear that it was the red headed male. Balthazar sat there behind Babu who was barring his teeth at the door as if they were both waiting for the man to blast his way in and attack them. Of course soon they heard the deserate tone in the males voice as they both grew curious as well as interested espeically when the word 'magic' was brought up. Books and stroys were still around that mentioned things like magic and the super natural. There was also the fact that famous scientist around this city always held seminars talking about the possibility of different worlds etc. Maybe what the red heead was saying wasn't soemthing crazy at all. Maybe Balthazar and Babu bumped into that rare moment in life where life would no longer be the same, where things might change drastically. Hopefuly for the better.
After letting the male stand out there for a good twenty minutes, Balthazar and Babu came to an agreement. He stood and walked over to the door and slowly opened it as it was revealed that his home was a simple room and a fairly small one at that. "Come in.." Balthazar said while motioning for the male to get in and when he did he shut and locked the door.
He then sat back down with Babu and pointed over at a small stool. "You can sit there. I'll help you out I guess. First to where you are is Vallhiem and this is the captial city, Glacien. Of course this is the slums part but whatever." Balthazar then went on explaining how the social hiearchy worked here, how those born with black/brown hair were considered rich and privaleged and lived in vast amount of wealth while the light brown, red and blonde headed people lived like animals, the blondes having it the worse with terrible jobs and terrible pay. He talked about how in this society a lot of the focus was on technology and how a lot of the Higher ups were mainly modified so that they could be immune to disease.
Finally he said all he could say about this place as he leaned back against Babu who acted like a nice couch, his hand running through the lions mane. He stared at the red head to hear his story. Of course he went on to add, "Oh and the name is Balthazar by the way and like I said before this is Babu."

Orion Lelluana
The red head found that as time passed it seemed more and more likely that he wasn't going to be let in, and a sigh passed his lips as he readied himself to leave. Though just as he went to turn he heard the lock click and the door was opened. When the other told him to come in, a small smile of relief pulled at his lips "Thanks" He voiced softly, walking in and stopping until he was directed where he should be. He took a seat on the stool- grateful just to be inside. He listened silently, taking in the information with a growing frown on his face. "That's awful. That system sounds completely flawed" He murmured, not liking the idea of people suffering needlessly.
Violet orbs watched the lion warily, moving to the large creature now and then, before he settled them upon the blonde. "Ah- I'm Orion. Oriona Lelluana. and I..guess it's my turn right?" He breathed, biting his bottom lip as he tried to decide where to start. "W-well I told you where I am from. I'm a student at the magic academy in the capital, and I was conducting some experiments. This" He then held up the small sphere "Was a product of those experiments. You can take it if you like, it won't burn you but it does provide warmth like I said…though it smells like me…sorry" he continued, not really sure if they liked the smell of Lilac. "My magic has the scent of Lilac's, where I'm from everyone's magic has a distinct scent. You only get one element and mine is fire" He continued, and then he went on to explain his world, which was filled with greenery and fantastical creatures.
"As for how I got here… I messed around with some time magic and it had a negative reaction to my magic and I guess i opened up some kind of rift and here I am" he practically whispered. "and I don't know what to do…" He added, violet eyes dropping to the floor and he basically took on the look of a kicked puppy. "I have no right to ask if I can stay here,b-but…If you let me I can keep this place warm and I'll work! my magic might come in handy with getting food too…."

Balthazar sat there listening to him explain how he ended up here. Still he wondered if this guy was crazy but it was a possibility. He bit his lip and thought on it while looking at Babu, scratching his forehead while discussing this with him. Of course Orion wouldn't be able to understand anything Babu was saying since it was only feline noises. Balthazar made sure to speak lowly as he looked down at the orb Orion gave them. It was emanating heat and so that did prove useful as they discussed this for a while. They talked about the advantages with having someone that can produce fire. With that being added into the mix they came to a final decision.
Looking up at him he finally spoke, "Well Babu and I think that your magic is kind of useful to us at this current season. But you're gonna have to sleep on the floor. Babu and I sleep here and with Babu there is no room for anyone else. Second will be that while you're here you will have to go find work on your own or just bum it out. You are a part of the minority with that hair of yours. If you decided to get into trouble or show that magic of yours and are caught by someone then do not drag me into you crap alright? Outside of this room we are not friends or talk to one another. Got it?"
Rules here were pretty strict after all. When minorities with different hair colors were seen out in public it tended to rise suspicion to the cops as they were very tense from having to deal with any revolts. Therefore with Balthazar behind a blonde and him bring a red head it could cause him trouble.

Orion Lelluana
Violet orbs seemed to light up when the male said he could stay, a slightly shy smile tugging at his lips "Thank you!! I won't get in your way and I'll look for something in the morning!!" He stated quickly, leaning forward on the stool- he peered at the feline again. "I don't…mean to sound rude, and I know ..Babu was it? Is your soul but…what kind of creature is it?" He murmured softly, genuinely curious..which was probably the student in him. He loved to learn, it was actually something he was extremely passionate about.
It was slightly disheartening to know that he wasn't allowed to talk to the male at all, but…well he would be okay. "Ah… I should have one of these…souls right? I'll use my fire then…" He murmured to himself, leaning back and holding out his hand. His fire was a part of him… it should have been easy enough to create a fake life form…something to at least fool the masses…with his free hand he dug into his pocket to see what he had, which included a lump of modelling clay and a few stones….they would do. He placed those in his extended palm and closed his eyes- and then he let the magic do it's work. Fire coated and sunk into the clay, forming it into the shape of a small bird, the stones cracked and reformed, creating small black eyes and a shiny black beak. and then the fire solidified into fine little feathers- coat in the creature. The last thing that happened was the creature seemed to come to life- though it made no sounds as it hopped up onto it's feet and lifted it's wings- actually taking to the air. It spiralled around the red head for a moment before coming to rest on his shoulder. "That should work" He breathed, feeling a wave of dizziness hit him- too much magic used in one day.
'I'll have to find something to sleep on tomorrow…. else I'll be very, very uncomfortable…' he pondered silently as he slipped off of the stool and sat down on the floor, drawing his knees up to his chest. he let his gaze slide to the blonde again and a small half smile tugged at his lips "Thank you again…Balthazar.." he muttered gently, finding the name to be very…foreign.

"A lion, part of the cat family if you know what a cat is. Just a larger more dangerous cat in this world." With a yawn he merely nodded when he thanked him and soon settled down on the mattress with Babu already asleep. He laid beside him, putting Babu's large arm over his torso as if using a blanket and proceeded to hug him, using him almost like a cuddly stuffed animal. It didn't talk Balthazar long to fall asleep since he had been exhausted. It was around 9 o'clock at night so pretty early to sleep but he did have work at 3am after all and he needed all the sleep he could get. He snored in his sleep as well but the snore was due to stress and just the over all strain his body got daily.
He slept deeply all through the night until he was awoken by Babu licking his face. He groaned and looked up at the feline, pushing his face away from his. "What?" He groaned irritably while rolling away.
"Time for work," Babu replied while licking the back of his head to get him up. He pawed at him and moved him around and even pounced on him to get up. Finally with a lick to the face Balthazar sat up and sighed heavily.
"Right right...I'm up..." He glanced around the room, spotting the red head laying on the ground sleeping. He yawned again and got up, going to the box in the corner where he kept all his clothes bunched up inside. He pulled his somewhat clean work clothes and started to leave but before doing so he gently picked up Orion and placed him on the mattress while he and Babu left.
Balthazar made a pit stop to the public bathroom where did his business then took a shower before putting his clothes on and heading off to work, letting Babu give him a ride there. The streets were lit up with lamp posts so it wasn't too hard to make his way to the factory.

Orion Lelluana
Orion nodded as the male explained what his soul was, a lion…well, it was a beautiful creature, but not something he wanted to get into trouble with. Orion didn't settle in to sleep for a while, simply sitting there in silence, but eventually he did curl up on the floor and drift off to sleep- emotionally drained himself.
When he awoke he found himself….in a completely new spot in the room- actually quite comfortable and warm. Slowly he sat up, finding that he was still quite groggy but he hauled himself out of bed, grimacing as his stomach rumbled. 'finding food may be an issue…' he pondered silently, a sigh passing his lips as he climbed off of the mattress. "Time to job hunt" He voiced softly, stretching his limbs above his head, before he made his way out of the small apartment.
And then he found himself wandering about the street, searching for a place to work. After two hours of walking about and job searching he found himself crouching down in front of a fountain, staring down at his own reflection…. "agh…jeez" he muttered, lifting a hand to run it through his messy red locks.
"What are you doing dear? " A voice resounded from behind him, making the red head jump- and he quickly stood and spun on his heel, coming face to face with a woman in her mid fifties he would guess. She had brown hair pulled up into a tight bun and a basket with bread in it. "I-i… umm, sorry was I in the way? I was just taking a break Ma'am! Turns out job hunting is terribly difficult" he voiced quickly, violet eyes meeting the woman's on pale green eyes.
"A job…. Ah I see, you're one of those poor dears who have been segregated because of the way you look" she stated gently, pursing her lips as she glanced down at her basket- lost in thought "Well…. My son has proven to be worthless when it comes to the bakery…and I'd rather pay someone who works hard than a lazy no good child…… Perhaps- well, would you like to work for me at my bakery? I can't pay much but, I could give you the day olds- no one buys stale bread anyways" She stated, going off on her own little tangent, leaving Orion to simply listen to her- though he instantly lit up when she suggested she would hire him.
"Really!?" He exclaimed, before he slapped a hand over his mouth- his face flushing, he hadn't meant to shout. "Sorry! i mean, I would love to work for you Ma'am. You seem like a good person"he muttered softly, turning his gaze down, which simply earned him a smile. Already the woman could tell she liked this boy- though she wasn't actually sure why. Usually she would ignore those of the lower class….but perhaps today she was feeling generous.
"Come along then." She voiced, and Orion found himself following her to a small building, learning what she would have him do which was mostly the work she couldn't lifting things that were too heavy for her- etc.
At the end of the day she ended up giving him a few buns, which she tucked into a basket for him, ordering him to bring it back tomorrow which he instantly agreed to. She also handed him a few coins which were very foreign to him but he figured it was the currency here…. After thanking her multiple times he started on his way back to Balthazars, but stopped outside of a stall that seemed to be selling meat of some kind- which the man behind the stall explained to him to be pheasant. After exchanging a little more than half of what he had made that day for a pheasant and a piece of red meat that he also didn't recognize he continued on his way back.
"I'm back!" He called as he knocked once, then pulled the door open, quite proud of the haul he had managed to bring. A good meal…seemed like something that Balthazar and babu needed…and well… He'd gotten quite a lot. "I brought food" He added, looking down at the basket, which now had two wrapped up packages containing the bird and the red meat, and the buns which were wrapped in a cloth below. He didn't mind that the bread was stale, in fact he had eaten half of one of the small loaves on his way back.

Balthazar's day hadn't gone as peachy as he had hoped. Toward midshift someone had foolishly turned the blow torch away from the metal and left it one as the flame was close enough to catch his shirt on fire. Zar had reacted quickly by taking the shirt off and stomping the fire out but of course not without having two degree burned spots on his back. Works comp didn't exist and being sent hope because of his injury wasn't an option either. It was getting a band aid, sucking it up and continue working. So the next half he had to work with the burn making it more difficult and it didn't take long for the wound begin to fester slightly by the end of his shift. Babu had let Zar ride his back as usual as he headed back home. The red head male seemed to have been gone but that was fine.
Babu let himself in and let Zar lay on the mattress while he plopped down beside him, licking Zar's burns to try and help clean the burns and to ease the stinging pain. Of course Zar would groan and cringe with every lick until he passed out from his exhaustion and so he laid there sleeping by the time Orion came back.
Babu looked at the red head and growled as if telling him to keep it down since Zar was sleeping. He was still shirtless and laying on his stomach on the mattress with his burns exposed to the stuffy air inside the "house".
