*Or, alternatively, please get him back in shape Forte because he's been laying around an awful lot lately*

Blues had spent a bit of time resting and generally adjusting to the fact he was now...well...blue. With the fur color change it seemed like his old name just suited him way better, so for the most part he had gone back to being known as Blues.

...Except during any military thing, then he was going to insist on being called General or General Proto. Yes Bass, even by you (though it likely wouldn't stick anyway).

They had even managed to get his tail mostly working! It still glitched every now and then, but it should be completely fixed with just a minor adjustment or two. For now though, Blues was tired of resting and hiding away in Bass' room. The bot wanted out, and he was definitely itching for a battle. ..A normal one, and not one against some crazy bomb wielding Citizen.

Blues stepped into the large training area, shield in hand and a confident smirk on his face. Today he wore his helmet, not wanting any random remarks about his little ears distracting him from training. It was also likely to deter Bass from randomly chewing on them as they fought. Hrmph.

Well, he had told Bass to meet him here at this time...now where was he?

I dunno, here's something. :V

He wouldn't ever call Blues General unless he was being sarcastic because he could. That was his whole motivation. Because he could. Forte was a self entitled brat and anyone could attest that and he didn't care.

Right now Forte was out and about and waiting in the training room for Blues. Today was the day he was going to smear that blue face all over the matted floor and absolutely gloat afterwards. Blues was getting soft. Super soft and probably stiff because all the bot did was laze about and sometimes whine about something or other. Forte didn't mind Blues whining, not really. He found it kind of amusing that so much got to the usually stoic bot and he felt comfortable enough to actually complain to him.

God, Blues was turning Forte into a giant sap.

Once he saw the other bot walk in, helmeted and all, Forte jumped down from the metal rafter he was lounging on ad smirked, stretching himself out.

"There's the helmeted, masked kitten." He put his hand on his hip, his blaster equipped to his other arm and charging, ready to go. He licked his lips and smirked. "Ready to get get your a** kicked?"

Ah, there he was. Smug as always...good old Bass. Or...Forte as he was now named. The other general is what he was getting at. Yes.

...Kitten?!
"No...but I am ready to kick yours."
Blues took a moment to ensure his own blaster was ready and charged, throwing his own smirk back at Forte. ....His was still missing a tooth, but it really didn't bother Blues all that much.

Especially not now, because he had a goal of punching Forte in the face before the other could rub his face into the mat.

Without another word, the red bot darted forward to charge at Forte. He led with his shield, fully intending to bash it into the other General and knock him off balance.

Forte just hummed to himself as he heard Blues's voice and then rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Come on, p***y cat, let's start this." God, that gap toothed grin was going to kill him. He was so cute sometimes. Forte's tail flicked hard before the bot darted for him.

Grunting a little, Forte jumped upwards, using Blues's head as a spring board and flipped before landing behind Blues and kicked him in the a**, grinning a bit. "Too slow."

Blues was knocked slightly off balance by his head suddenly being used as a damn springboard, and even further so by the swift kick to his a**. Still, he managed to stay upright and even swing his shield back at the other to try and hit him.

Just out of range though, hrmph.

"And you're a bit too -showy-."
He just grinned again, moving around the other to try and find a weakness. Hard thing to spot on Forte, the bot was usually rather flawless. Why had he ever fallen in love with a flawed thing like himself?

...Depressing thoughts Blues, get those out of your head.

So, he simply charged again, dropping down to skid forward on his shield at the last moment and try to take out Bass' legs.

Blues wasn't flawed to him? Well, he had his flaws, but he was a strong bot, quick, good with directions, plans, orders, everything, really. His ears flicked a little as that shield swiped at him and just let out a hard growl. He let Blues get close to him, but he didn't let the other knock him off balance. Forte snorted and jumped up, using his wings and jet boots to keep himself air bound as he aimed his blaster at Blues. The blaster wasn't fully charged, it wouldn't be in a spar like this because it was just that, a spar.

"Come and get me!"

However, he realized Blues probably couldn't fly, so he put distance between himself and the red bot before landing and just moved to charge at him, swinging a fist.

The moment Forte was no longer on the ground, Blues stepped off his shield and stomped it with his boot. The shield flew up into his hand, which he then immediately ducked under to protect himself from the blast. If anything, he was -quite- skilled in handling that shield. He was more than capable of going an entire fight with only it and not his blaster, if it was necessary.

"Fancy flying there, I'm a -bit- jealous...take me for a flight sometime, would ya?"

His wings didn't allow flight but his shield did. It wasn't something he needed to use indoors though. No, instead he waited for Forte to charge him, and moved in to issue his own attack. Though his came in the form of bringing up his shield to meet Forte's fist at full speed. Blues had already readied himself to deal with the resulting shockwave from the impact.

"Nope. You have something to fly with. Fly yourself."

The moment his first connected to the shield, Forte growled and shuddered a little, tail fluffing up because damn it that felt so weird going throughout his arm. Without waiting too long, Forte dropped to the floor to try to sweep Proto's legs out from under him.

This is what they both needed. Forte needed to get some aggression out and Blues did need retraining... This way they could actually hit each other without looking for too much of an excuse, right? There'd been a time or two where he just wanted to slug Blues for being so ...stubborn, so hard headed, but he didn't because he liked the kid. Yes, he was calling Blues a kid because more often than not he pouted like one. Forte was fully expecting a pout because he told him no, he wasn't taking him flying.

A pout? ...Yeah, he definitely didn't look impressed. Stupid Forte and his stupid flying wings. Blues had yet to figure out the function of his wings...besides annoying the hell out of Forte. That was kind of important...

However, he did have to grin at the other's reaction to hitting his shield. Heh, fluffy tail!
"Come on, why n---"
There it was, the moment he was so confident in his own abilities that he slipped up and Forte knocked him clear off his feet. Blues hit the ground hard, keeping his shield over himself to protect from whatever Forte threw at him next. His other arm remained uncovered, moving to shoot a blast up at the other bot.

He would argue that he didn't need retraining, and he certainly wasn't a kid! Unfortunately...both of those statements were entirely true. Blues just refused to admit it.

He'd been about to jump on Blues and his stupid boat shield when that blast hit him square in the chest. Forte made a noise very close to a squawk and was thrown upwards and then finally landed on his back, on his wings, actually and the sound of metal scraping the floor could be heard and grated on Forte's own nerves.

He pulled his wings back into hiding to get up easier, but with a bulky chest plate it was a tad slower than he would have liked. "You a*****e!" Forte's tail was still fluffed up and he growled hard, snapping his teeth as he got to his feet and looked at Blues, or at least where he was. Had he moved?

Moved? You bet your a** he moved. Blues could be fast when he wanted to be, and while the other was busy snapping his teeth and generally being irate he had gotten to his feet and moved.

Where? Why...right behind Forte of course. He gave the first few notes of his signature whistle tune, before lunging forward to ram into Forte's back with his shield.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 16, 2014 4:23 pm

That tune made his synthetic skin crawl. Why he thought Blues would attack his head, he didn't know, but Forte ducked down and ended up getting that shield rammed into the back of his helmet, sending him flying forward, helmet coming off as he once again scraped along the floor.

"ARGGGGH!" Forte yelped and got to his feet quicker this time, scratches in his paint job noticeable as he aimed his blaster at the red a*****e, firing a barrage of blasts his way. "DODGE THIS!" So he might be getting angry and pissy and more than a little irate. He wanted to win now and he was going to. He killed Flashover after all, Blues shouldn't be so hard to take down! ...He wasn't going to kill Blues, but he was going to win this spar that he was taking as a duel.

Well s**t.

Blues' eyes widened as the other sent the barrage of blasts. Well, okay, this was becoming more of an all out brawl than a training session. He couldn't dodge all those blasts, so instead he braced himself behind his shield. Ha! Thank goodness his Father had given him this so long ago, it was perfect!

He moved the shield away so he could get a shot at Forte...only to be hit by the last of the barrage. Damnit he had counted wrong! The blast hit him square in the chest and knocked him clear on his furry a**.

That had hurt.
"DAMNIT FORTE."
Blues was snarling, moving to get his feet back under him at this point.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 16, 2014 4:33 pm

"You started it!"

So mature. They were the most mature individuals weren't they? He just took a running jump at Blues now, without using his wings, and aimed to punch him square in the jaw. "Admit you lost!" Fighting was fun. He was having a lot of fun despite being crabby.

He would make fun of Blues for not knowing how to count, but Forte was too busy trying to assess his own damage and figure out how drained Blues's core was. He didn't want to drain the other. He never got a full charge as it was!

The punch hit him, Forte earning a yelp from the other General. Still, he wasn't about to give in. Blues was stubborn, and quite used to going against the odds. No way he'd give in after just a few hits!

"Sorry Forte, you aren't going to win that easily. Are you tiring out already, hrm?"
He'd have to guess how drained Blues was, because even if he was running on near empty he'd still push himself to fight. He moved to slam his shield into Forte again and squirm to get away.

So long as that shield was in his hand, Blues could fight.
