Noemi stopped in front of the duty roster for the infirmary shifts today. Her cleaning chores for the place had been finished, and she still had energy to spare. On twitter, she had asked to shadow, and Mister Lex seemed to be receiving of having someone follow him for it!
She made sure to find his duty and greeted him in the hallway. "E...Excuse me Mister Lex. I'm Noemi? From Twitter?"

[Cleaning Wounds - Basic?]
Noemi leaned over Lex's shoulder, watching him as he worked on cleaning a hunters wound.
She was watching mostly how steady his hands were, how precise the cutting and stitching and cleaning were.

The wound had been treated with antiseptic and cleaned thoroughly with a gauze pad, and now Lex set to work with a needle and black thread.
"It's like sewing a button, or a tear in a blanket." He instructed, finishing off the wound with a snip of the scissors.

"But you have different needle right?" She pointed at the one he was using. "That one is hooked, and the ones we sew for clothes, straight?" She moved a bit closer, looking at the stitching job.
Mostly she was looking at the way it was knotted. Human flesh was different then clothes or animals. She wondered if she could do this.

----[ Victim Type: Burn Wounds ]Lex set about prepping what he would need to treat the hunter covered in ugly burn marks, taking out gauze and aloe lotion, creams and mineral oils and a slew of bandages.
"This may hurt, but only for a bit." He cooed, dabbing a pad of gauze with some of the lotion.

She preened a bit at the good observation. She noticed things. She needed to notice things.
"You have to get the stitches closer together?" She nodded, "How long will they stay in there?"

They had a slew of hunters coming in. Returning from the Sahara.
Noemi was rushing around, dropping supplies off, getting clean beds ready, when she was pulled in with Lex.
She was behind him, quiet as usual, watching as usual. The supplies he laid out, she memorized. Oh god, his flesh was burning, and she could remember her own trip to the Sahara. Her own burn wounds.
"W...What do you need me to do Lex?"

[ Cleaning Wounds - Stitching ]"About a week.[ Victim Type: Burn Wounds ]Lex was glad to have Noemi's help. The influx of Sahara victims was becoming more common, and he wasn't overly fond of it. The hunter in their charge was obviously having a hard time dealing with the pain.
"Hold him down, this next part will hurt a bit." Lex instructed, pulling out a sponge and began to rub it along the burn wounds, peeling off dead flesh.

She made a small sound, before going over to the bed, pushing the hunters shoulders down.
It was the first time she'd ever been so close to someone. She tried to offer the hunter a reassuring smile.
"We'll help you." He screamed as the wounds was being cleaned. He fought as hard as he could to get away from the pain.
Noemi held him down, muttering sorries and apologies left and right.

"We're not allowed to tell others about certain medical things right Lex?" They were in downtime. Sitting in the cafeteria after helping out.

"Bigger wounds require more stitches, or sometimes surgery. I'm no doctor, though. Not high enough on the ladder." He explained, finishing up more stitches.

Once the skin was peeled away and more aloe lotion was rubbed in, Lex handed Noemi a roll of bandages. "Wrap any exposed siney and do it tightly. Ignore any sounds of pain."
It was harsh, but it was the infirmary.
