The park was right next to the building that housed the bar-to-be, The Red Bull. There were a ridiculous amount of red, white, and blue balloons all over the area with tables groaning under the weight of a truly brilliant and excessive amount of pies, cakes, and tarts. There was a kiddie pool full of ice and alcohol, and another, much larger kiddie pool filled with crisp, clean water in case anybody felt the need to cool off. A large section of the park had been mowed and painted to form a baseball diamond, and equipment sat to the side for a decent game of ball, while lawn chairs and picnic tables had been hauled out to line the area.
Music played loudly on a borrowed runic sound system, ranging from classics to current pop hits. A large BBQ was off to the side, and all the food and fixings you'd expect at a July Fourth cookout was ready and waiting for any who stopped by. The entire Island had been invited to the party (excluding one Lawrence Weiman) and at the center of it, marked out with in red, white, and blue herself, stood America Jones, hands on hips and ready to celebrate exactly how wonderful she was.

Kostya hugged America, again, and wished her the happiest of birthdays (the first time of many to come), before drifting through the various people there to find Shu. "Ve did very good," Kostya said to her, appreciatively, admiring their hard work of baking and cooking and slaving over ovens and icing.

In and out. Zone in on America, give her the gift, and run. Maybe small talk, but then run. Crowds meant people. People meant hassle. Otto's plan was flawless. Except for the fact that once he saw her party, he was entranced.
It was America. Everything that encompassed any 4th of July shindig he'd ever been to. It... well it rocked. Rocked hardcore.
He stared dumbfounded, distracted from searching for the birthday girl by zeroing in on the treats. Oh God... there was pie. And cake...

America couldn't blame Otto for his trance-like state at the sight of the many cakes and treats. She'd gone into shock herself when Kostya and Shu had presented them. Laughter and applause had followed as America picked up and spun first the tiny girl and then the stoic Russian, declaring loudly that it was the most amazing thing she'd ever seen and that she didn't want to share a bit of it even if they had to roll her back home when she was through. Many a selfie was taken before the party with both of the bakers, America grinning excitedly in all of them even if her eyes took on a particular shine whenever she considered how much thought and time the two had put into all of it. As people started to arrive, the girl checked her phone and began writing a reply before turning pensive and pocketing the device. It lasted only a moment because then there was Otto, and she was laughing again as she approached him. "Oh, the look on your face!" rejam Text to: Obadiah Thompson possum coma here i come!! allforme.jpg message deleted

Otto turned as America approched, his face still in awe. "Dude, like... how even?" Because any kind of articulating was nill in the face of so many sweets. "It's like them movies you watch as a kid and wish you could have a table of them all to yourself, yunno?" He sighed, because choosing what to east was difficult. The rationale side said he didn't want a tummy ache. The rest of him dared to see just how many snacks it would take to reach said limit. "Oh, uhm. Happy Birthday." Otto held up a small rectangular box, wrapped in the obvious colour scheme. Inside was a necklace with a star pendant, embellished with the American Flag. "It's a birthday gift, but also just a thank you for being.. well.. you."

"Isn't it though?" America exclaimed, gesturing widely. The phrase hog heaven had never seemed so literal. Taking the offered present with obvious glee, the girl opened it with a delighted sound. Putting on the necklace right away, she caught Otto up in a tremendous Birthday Hug, "It's perfect, thank you!"

Otto hugged back rather than his favoured attempt at pretending to be an inanimate statue during the hug. He liked her enough to accept it. "Yer welcome." He murmured, pulling away and once again ogling the treats. He swiped a stick of cake pops. "Guess I'll stick around for like... a little bit." And not cause of the food okay..... Definitely not the food. However, it was likely he'd disappear into the ethers once he became overwhelmed by swarms of people. But regardless he had to make it sound like a big deal, resigned sigh and all.

Al was next to arrive and he had a small package wrapped in tin foil with a card taped to it. Seeing America, he approached her first. "Happy birthday!" He smiled wearily, he looked like he missed quite a bit of sleep recently as his eyes drooped just a bit. Still, he was on it enough to remember he did not come empty handed. He offered her the foil-covered object. "Don't open this until you get back to your room." He leaned in and lowered his voice, "It's kinda private."

"And I appreciate your willingness to stay in the face of such hardship." America grinned at Otto, leaning forward to whisper, "You can take extras back with you too, if the decision is too much to make." She gave him a consoling pat on the back and went to greet Al. The present and request garnered raised eyebrows and a sly smile as she drew him in for a hug and then, with a laugh, planted a lipglossy smudge of a kiss on his cheek. "Oh well now I'm hella curious you." Edging close she teased him, "Is it n***s? 'Cause those are always appreciated."

Al blushed and wobbled a bit, he was certainly not expecting a kiss. This was a lovely bonus. "U-uh hi. Y-you'll just have to see okay?" He dopily looked over behind America and immediately seemed to shake off her special attack. "Oooh~ Is that cake?" And just to be safe, "Did they sing you happy birthday yet?"

Roland had tucked his phone away frowning slightly, he knew Peyton was friends with America, heck they had hung out for a short while when Cami and Peyton where sparing. It had been a good chuckle, and they where both rooting for the scrappy little Sun friend. Still it made the idea of showing up without a gift a little off putting, he didn't know her very well but she seemed pretty okay.
So he opted for the easy route, scribbling up a card, making a note and stuffing it in an envelope stolen from the labs because they had everything, including envelopes. On an island that never had any mail. Logic.
Still his arrival was tail end to an interesting conversation causing him to raise an eyebrow at Al and America, "Well if n***s are all you need to be happy that would have been nice to know on the gift list." Instead he passed her a card smiling and waving to Al as well.
Inside would be a noticing indicating Roland was available for one favor of any sort, moving, wood working, and general needs. Plus at least a few free drinks when ever he next got his hands on booze again.

She wasn't too short, but when there were a lot of people taller than her, of course she was buried. It was Amercia's birthday and the charming huntress attracted a LOT of people to wish her happy birthday, thus the petite girl jumped and looked for the birthday star through the barrier of moving human wall until she saw the tall hunter. "Mr. Bashmet, over here~~~~" She called while squishing through the laughter and chatters. "You did most of the part, thanks for helping with my idea! I can't do this so flawlessly if I am alone~" The Asian beamed and tiptoed for a quick hug. The cakes were all so beautiful and that was the first time she didn't mess things up, there was a satisfied smile hung on her face. The petite girl spent her endeavor to swim near the beaming huntress like a tiny little fish, and smile brightly. "Happy Birthday, Miss America! I hope you enjoy the surprise from us!" and a big warm hug was sent with best wishes before she was picked up and spun. Shu enjoyed the spin and giggled happily like a silver bell, "Which is (are) your favourite?" She loved the pie most because berriers, a lot of berries and cute little stars as well as the pinwheel cupcakes, it was the funniest to make.

It had taken a little longer than anticipated, but Peyton was true to her word. The tiny blonde came sprinting from out of the darkness and bodily launched herself at the red head with a loud, high pitched squeal. "HAPPY BRITHDAY AMAERICA!"

Well, an invitation was indeed an invitation and Milo wasn't going to say no when there was going to be a nice promised celebration - of America and... well.. America. Baseball sounded awesome and knowing the type of shindig that the President of the Basement nation could throw, yeah... it was a given.
So, the Sun showed up with his usual wide smile and a rather loud Hawaiian print shirt. A last minute thrown together present was in his hands, the box small and wrapped in duct tape with a ribbon made of duct tape as well. And went to work with greeting the others, "Sup guys! We're gonna have fireworks, ya?"
