What team do you think you would have on you? (No legendaries, obvs.)

And what role do you think you would fill? Gym Leader? Breeder / Day Care Owner? Academy Teacher? Coordinator? Or perhaps you're strong enough to become the Elite Four or even the Champion of a Region? Or perhaps you're content just being a trainer? Or something else?

Would you train Pokemon that have convenient skills or are strong in battle or just ones you like? (Factoring in that out of game, it doesn't seem to be as much of a numbers game. Let's just say that with the right trainer and skill / strategy any Poke can beat any other.) What moves would they know?

And then anything I've missed. Discuss.

Arcanine, for sure. He'd be my Naga.

Heck yeah. Use Extremespeed and then hold on tight? Arcanine would make an awesome mount. Plus, he just looks cool.

If I had a casual / useful team, I'd definitely want a mount, but probably one that could fly.

I'd probably go more for convenient pokemon, and I think I would probably fit in best as an academy teacher

First, I would obviously want a pokemon that can fly, and I would be torn between two of them: Noivern, because I love that cute giant bat dragon, and Golurk because it's a giant ******** robot and that is completely badass.

Gardevoir, and not for the reason every deviantart user might pick it. First, it has telepathy and according to it's dex entry, can predict the future and is at it's strongest when protecting it's trainer. With telepathy, it's one of the few pokemon that can actually communicate with you, and having something that can move objects with it's mind and teleport around would probably make it one of the most useful 'mons in a realistic world, especially since I doubt the teleporting would be limited to the last pokemon center you were at like in the games.

Ampharos because I've always liked it, and it's ability to generate light would come in handy pretty often. Also, there has to be a way to store the electricity it would generate for later use.

Ninetails because it is majestic, even if it won't let you touch it's tails. It would certainly be useful to have something that can create fire, and I've raised a ninetails in every single pokemon game I've played so I would definitely count it as one of my favorites.

Sneasel because I like his style, and can create an icy wind that would be helpful in the hotter months.

I'd want to be an Adventurer of sorts, and eventually the Champion. I would want to travel all over the world then maybe one day settle down and become the Champion after I hone my skills.

Also, I might specialize in Flying types to some degree. Note that some Champions do not specialize in any one type like Cynthia or Alder, but then there's Steven who specializes in Steel/Rock types. So a Champion who uses several Flying-type Pokemon and then some others wouldn't be so odd, right?

My team would include Lapras, Flygon, Gliscor, Togekiss, Crobat, and Mega Mawile as my Mega. (Since every Champion needs a Mega!). I probably also wouldn't use Lapras for Champion battles. I'd have to use one of the below Pokemon to fill in, but Lapras is my favorite, so it goes first on this list. razz

I'd also have other Pokemon I rotate around my team like Poliwrath, Azumarill, Infernape, Sceptile, Ampharos, Scizor, Gengar, & Tyranitar.

Obviously I couldn't have all these Pokemon off the bat, but toward the end of my adventures I'd hope to have all these. razz

Judging by your Gaia Avatar's sex slave there, I'd question your true motives for Gardevoir... pirate

Judging by your avatar's large sword, I'd say you were compensating for something. Aren't the boards so much more fun when we randomly insult each other?

I've always found the idea of having a Mr. Mime just to make invisible walls to troll everyone around me to be quite amusing.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 04, 2014 7:44 pm

I had a main RP character that ran a daycare with his girlfriend back in the day. (I never played them in that role, just sort of decided that's where they'd end up. I really enjoy character creation / deciding how their lives'd turn out, but really lazy about actually play them. : P)

But . . . I don't think I'd go down that road. I feel like I'd definitely want some convenient Pokemon if I planned to travel a lot. Like . . . an ice type air conditioner? I've never thought of that, but it's genius. The inverse goes for fire types in the winter.

Gardevoir does seem rather OP in the real world as far as that goes, too. I could definitely see that being handy.

I was going to figure out movesets for my pokes, but I'm too lazy to do all of that right now. Ha. But, I would say if I didn't have a traveling team, I could see myself running two different sets of Pokemon.

One would be a gym-leader set. I'm weirdly factoring my friends into this, so I'd leave dark types for a couple I know 'cause I can totally see them running 'em. I'd have to go with Steel types for myself.

With Mega Aggron heading off the set 'cause I do love his big monstrous look~ Then Scizor 'cause I like him a lot, too. Steelix. Metagross. (Shiny, plz?) Aegislash. Aaaand Empoleon.

Or I could see myself running a coordinator set of Pokes. I only know that Volcarona with Silver Wind would be nice here. There's just sooooo many options here. I think I'd have a lot of fun with this. Just thinking up and perfecting awesome looking move combos and getting creative with how they're used. I think it'd be cool to be one of those Coordinator/Trainer combos that does really fancy stuff in battle, as well.

That would be amusing. xD

And yaaah. Sounds nice, Archolite. (>_> Used to evolve Archol?)

I'd probably only use 3 Pokemon at a time since that's how it seems to work most often in the anime with Gym Battles. And Mega Aggron likely wouldn't see the light of day in that regard unless he /had/ to under some condition.

I'd probably run with . . . Aegislash, Empoleon, and Scizor. Mega Aggron and Shiny Metagross being surprise Pokemon that people are like "Whoa. He has those?" And Steelix being a common Pokemon I use that people expect to see in battle, but then done. ninja

Oh, come on now. I just like to fill the canvas I'm given to work with. Don't wanna look too plain. I guess you should know with that overly-cluttered mess you've got going on, eh? pirate

That episode is a troll in itself, lmao.. xd

Am I wearing a "Kick Me" sign today or something? xd

It could be worse... I could have named myself after a bowl of corn...

Alas, I came up with this name a long time ago. Before Diamond Version was even released. I just wanted to form an original name that I thought sounded cool and I came up with this. I quite like it, not the best name, but still.

Are my other options just putting some words together and throwing "pants" at the end as a suffix, or...?

A steel type Gym Leader?

Do I have to prove myself once more to be the Steel type guy around here? sweatdrop

As about a role to fulfill. In a cave... picking up rocks that I believe to hold value of some sorts.

Fairy type Pokemon professor would be me. I love all fairy type Pokemon and would definitely enjoy studying them as a profession.

You can have the gym. xD

Ha. In all honesty, I'd seriously probably go the Coordinator/Trainer route and have all different types of 'mon. That would also allow versatility in having a traveling team, as well. (Which I would obviously do for contests and junk.)

Archolite

Hey, now. Ha. (Also: *mega evolve)

And yeah. I assumed it wasn't based on that. Just an unfortunate effect of mega evolution coming out.

And yes. <_<
Your only other option is that.

Ha. My name's actually an in-joke based on Contra. As you beat the final boss in two player mode, you can jump on it's head and if both players do it right, when the boss disappears, you'll both be hovering in the air overlapping each other with your pants flashing rapidly back and forth between the blue and orange that the characters wear. It's silly, I know. But if I can't just . . . have my real name or just plain 'Omni', anything else'll probably feel silly to me anyways. Ha.

Aha~ Our first professor. And sounds sweet. Having something you study specifically would definitely make you stand out as a professor. /nod

'Cause some of 'em you just sort of . . . forget about, unfortunately. xP

That's very true, there have been so many professors over the years and I've forgotten all but Oak, Ivy, and the new one Sycamore. But it would be pretty hard to forget the first fairy type professor. 3nodding

Indeed indeed. /

I remember their names. Elm is the one that I'm like . . . Who was he? <_<

I think he was second gen, but I can't bring what he looks like to mind. Birch was the bigger-ish Prof from third gen, right? And the last being Sycamore. I honestly forgot Juniper's name, though I remembered what she and her dad looked like. (/occassionally watches some Black and White of the show) And the last was Rowan. Did not remember him facially nor name-wise. And yeah. Totally forgot what Elm looked like. /bothered to look them up
