Survey Mission 4CLocation: San Zhi Resort

General debriefing: There has been the stirring of something that scares even the locals: a rumour has it that in the evening, the lights turn on several of the odd pod-like buildings. Music can be heard from within before the light flickers off. This investigation must happen, due to this claim, in the evening after dark.
* C class difficulty level (must have a team of three, at least one of them must be an intermediate trainee) MECHANICS * MECHANICS: RP assembling a team, as necessary, before heading towards the Lighthouse portal to request a portal to Survey Mission 4C. Once there, roll a 100-sided dice and match the roleplay to the results below, as well as any reactions. Players can continue rolling until any of the players roll a INSANITY ENCOUNTER, in which case the BATTLE PHASE begins. See below for battle phase mechanics. 1- 20: The darkness combined with the fog make it extremely difficult to navigate. As you move your flashlight against the ground all you see is the crackled pavement, the pods obscured from sight - - As a skeletal face carved right into the cement leers at you - - And disappears. It was just your imagination... right? 21 - 40: Tattered pieces of fabric seem to be hanging from a few smashed windows. Upon further investigation you realize it is actually strips of skin peeled off some hapless creature. 41 - 60: You take a look at the pods again. They look normal enough, though none of them have the odd flickering light. Well that's a relief. A strange jarring noise interrupts you and as you look back, the order of the pods have changed, from location to colour. 61 - 80: You hear music playing in the background, a sort of wailing, foreign music. It seems to be coming from right above you, but nothing is there. Only you can hear it. 81- 100: BOSS ENCOUNTER: - As you continue walking down the sidewalk you hear a large crack, followed by another. A strange gas explodes from underneath, making you extremely dizzy, as you cough to figure out what is going on, fighting for air now. You have exposed your entire team to a hallucinogen, making everything more terrifying than ever as your vision swims and hops uncontrollably and your hearing becomes muted. Something creaks, groans, lurches underneath you, but is that your imagination? - BOSS MECHANICS: This boss is a mob that has collective 100 HP. Every time you attack it (following the general battle rules), you TAKE 8 damage. AS you can't really see the boss, most of it will have to be dependent on what you can see, if anything at all, from strange faceless figures lurching, half-hopping towards you to the smiling dead coming back and swiping at you. Make sure to tally the boss's total HP (the damage you did to it) at the bottom of your post as well as your total HP and the damage you did that round. If the boss's HP hits 0, you have defeated it, and your team can now take the portal back. * 4 mission reward points for completing this successfully

Chel was so SO glad to finally be FREE of the sparring ring (and the haunted house), and happy to be escaping off the island. She'd even been assigned to her missions with two lovely ladies she already knew. A trip off the island and two ladies at her side? Chel needed little else to be happy.
She quickly sent the twosome a text, smile brimming from ear to ear. She wanted to get off this island and NOW!!!

Noemi was there at the portal as soon as she got Chelsea's text.
She shifted her small Backpack of nesscary things for this trip and gave Chelsea a shy smile.
"Hi...Chelsea..." Then she looked at her feet.

Molly was sparred from another day of looking pitiful at the training grounds by a text. Upon receiving said text she quickly skittered back to her room, grabbed the messenger bag she packed for missions, and then skittered to the lighthouse portal. She beamed as she approached Chel and No Hug Noemi. "Hello!" She greeted them both. "Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm ready whenever you guys are!"

Chel's smiled brightened as Noemi approached, and she pulled the red-head into a full on noogie. "Hey there cutie!" Noemi was pretty much an unofficial younger sibling now.
When Molly came, Chel grinned and said, "No problem dude. Let's bounce!" It was then that she let go of Noemi, and stepped through the portal ...
"So apparently," Chel told them as they walked through, "Some weird houses been playin' music and lighting up or something. I think it's just a bunch of teens havin' a rad time, but it's better than training so I'm down."
She wandered around the perimeter of the weird pod, hearing some sort of strange music. Odd, but not completely bizarre. "Anyone in there?" She looked in the window, and the music stopped. Now that was bizarre.

Once introductions were over and Noemi patted her hair back into place, they were off to the portals.
She was right behind Chelsea, looking around while clutching at the straps of her back pack.
"...L...L...Like haunted houses!?!?" Noemi hid behind Chelsea, peeking over the girl's side. Oh god the lights were flickering. WHY WERE THEY WALKING CLOSER.
As they got to the lawn, and already staring up at the window, Noemi pointed at some sort of clothing..."What is-" A piece dropped, with a sickening sploosh and made Noemi's words die on her tongue.
It was skin. It was skin. It was skin.

Hehe, Chel said let's bounce. She liked that! That was fun! Molly re-adjusted her bag and beamed at the two, before looking dismayed at Noemi. "Oh, no miss! Just Molly!" She repeated for her again, and then followed the other two through the portal. Oh dear... This was...creepy. It was dark and eerie, but luckily, for now, Chel and Noemi's radiant personalities kept Molly's nerves at ease. They were investigating! She nodded her head at Chel's description, and it wasn't long before stuff was already happening. Oh dear. Molly stared up at the house, but blinked as Noemi pointed out something... She grimaced, but then paused as she heard...sounds. Molly looked up at the second story and squinted. "Do...either of you hear anything...like music...?

"Yeah I heard some music, but it went away. You ladies-"
Chel spun around. Where did they go? The fog had picked up- had she lost them? It seemed strange that she didn't hear anyone.
A skeletal face appeared in the cement, and Chel fired an arrow out at it. No sense in taking chances with creepy skeletons. The face faded and Molly and Noemi came back in sight. "Well it's definitely not just teenagers. Somethin' funky's definitely goin' on."

Chelsea disappeared in fog, Music was playing.
Noemi was thoroughly freaked out and she wanted to keep close to either of the huntresses.
It didn't help that pieces of skin still kept flying off.

"If only we could roll above an 80 find the source!" Molly exclaimed with worry, her brows knitting further as she heard more music. Poor Noemi was getting freaked out though, and Molly turned to look at the girl, offering her an encouraging smile. "It will be okay! We'll get through this!"

"Jam?" Molly echoed, finally getting a bit uncomfortable about the pieces of skin Noemi had been looking at earlier. "What kind of jam?" Her favorite was strawberry jam. Mmmm.

Chel felt the ground crack, the windows of the pod releasing a noxious gas. Not just the other music releasing gas. This was more serious.

Noemi jumped as she saw a figure lurching towards them, it didn't have a face...it didn't have anything.
"..CHE...CHELSEA...M..MOLLY!!!" Something was coming RIGHT FOR THEM. She summoned Mel and swung at the boss.
