Hello everyone. I joined the guild a couple days ago. Since all the friends I used to have on Gaia all seemed to have quit, figured I'd make some new ones. Guess the best way to generate conversation is by being a ******** narcissist a*****e saying a little about me.
I live in the city, and have grown to appreciate it a little more in recent years, after living in a pretty much rural area when I was in college a couple years ago in Arizona (sorry if my grammar was a little awkward there). I play Yu-Gi-Oh and Cardfight Vanguard, on somewhat competitive levels. By somewhat, I mean I don't use 60 card decks styled after anime characters, but I don't call myself "pro" and use Yu-Gi-Oh prizes as my primary source of income, because with how much I lose in big tournaments, I would most certainly starve.
My other hobbies include: -Drawing -Painting (only painted once, but I painted a mighty fine tree, I must say) -I used to like writing, may try my hand at it again to see if I would like it now -Researching random nonsense (the other day, for whatever reason, I caught myself reading up on Wikipedia about the history of prostitution. Interesting stuff) -Video games
So...yeah, that's my little introduction. Would be happy to make friends with you folks, since I can already tell this place is filled with nice enough people, from the very short time I've been here. So, let us begin this "mixing and mingling" process. smile (I won't need a blender for that, will I?)

Hey there, welcome! Glad you're enjoying it so far. I'll just leave this here... 8D. I love to paint too. I find my medium has been oil pastels lately. I'm also into journaling as a release of my thoughts on paper... sometimes personal but sometimes a creative outlet. It's a mixture of writing and art I find and for me, if I can lay things out it helps me process things better. What kind of writing did you used to do? Any big plans for the weekend?

Don't know why, but how polite and nice that guy was creeped me out, and I closed the video in like the first ten seconds of him talking. Lol. I used to write creative fiction. Mainly characters in medieval-eseque fantasy settings. I wrote a story once with the same namesake as my username here, where the main character was mute. Pretty difficult writing challenge for a young author, so when I look back on it, it was pretty poorly written, but I loved it. I believe that's when my interest in fantasy started to grow a lot larger. Some of my teachers, however, said my essay writing was their favorite. I guess I liked a few of my essays, when they were about something I was passionate about, like a movie review I did in my film studies class in high school. Another one I liked was an essay I wrote about the mayor's challenges of keeping people from migrating out of our city into the suburbs, believed to be out of fear of crime, poor school performance in the city, etc. No real plans. May go to a gaming lounge my friends introduced me to and try to write a cover letter on how I would be a good employee there. (Cover letters are the one thing I don't think I'm good at writing or enjoy doing). classified_fu Also, I just might swing by the pride parade thing to see what it's all about. Don't think it's my kind of thing, but I'll give anything (within reason) a chance. Oh, and just in case you didn't notice, I can ramble quite a bit. sweatdrop

Don't think it's my kind of thing, but I'll give anything (within reason) a chance. Oh, and just in case you didn't notice, I can ramble quite a bit. sweatdrop I left the video there because I remember being a kid and seeing him on TV and it's a remix of him singing... one part he sings "let's build some trees" lol. Your painting bit reminded me of that video. Oh wow, awesome. I never got much into writing. Sounds like you've written some pretty interesting stuff. I like the read fiction sometimes as I find it an escape but I do like to read non-fiction as well. I hope you find your outlet again because it does seem like you enjoy it haha. I haven't seen a gaming lounge in awhile actually... just billiard halls. I know in Richmond they have quite a few gaming cafes and a lot of karaoke places. I've made quite a few cover letters recently and I finally found my second job, as a vet assistant! I hope you get the job, it would be a pretty sweet job I would think. What kind of games do you like? If you do go to the pride parade, let me know how it goes. I've had to miss the one here 3 years in a row due to sickness and injuries... but it's nothing special for me at least. There's A LOT of people in their underwear and some nude people. Lots of parties and other stuff to do but I don't have an interest in the clubs, cruises, bars or any of that. No worries d: there's quite a few people in the guild that can ramble too. It's enjoyable, seeing as Gaia isn't as active as it used to be. I'm a bit tired but restless... these painkillers make my head feel a bit strange but they help me sleep at night. I've been getting vivid dreams lately though so I think I'll have to talk to my doctor about it. My point was, my posts probably won't have as much as you put out, not feeling myself right now haha. Sorry sweatdrop

I like pokemon, but not any of that mystery dungeon stuff. I also like rpgs, coincidentally japanese ones (after looking at reviews of one of my favorites, Arc Rise Fantasia, I guess japanese rpgs are in their own category or something?) I like some fighting games, but I suck at them all except the naruto series for the gamecube and the wii. I talk my trash and back it up well in Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3. I still have my outlet in drawing, so even if I find I don't like writing anymore, I still have that. However, drawing sometimes seems to be the cause of my frustration sometimes. I could spend hours on something, think I could draw a guy's or girls eyes or something better, so I erase the eyes, etc and minutes later wish I hadn't. classified_fu But I love it nonetheless. I;m so much better at it than I used to be two years ago. Yeah, both times I went to Ignite (the name of the gaming lounge) the staff were riding around on SCOOTERS. Needless to say I had to find out where to apply. I'm just gonna look over example cover letters online and do my best. Hopefully they'll find it more interesting than I will. Yeah, the nudity thing is what makes me reluctant. I don't care to see myself naked, much less other people I don't even know. rofl What are you taking painkillers for? Just had surgery or something (if you don't mind my asking)? It's alright if your responses don't have much thought or length as mine do right now. As long as I have someone to talk to since I can't sleep, I'm fine. What kind of vivid dreams? I have those myself, but no drugs needed. emotion_awesome

Haha, I spend a lot of time doing random research, too. It usually starts with looking up something specific, and then before I know it, it's four hours later and I'm reading a topic that's completely unrelated to whatever I'd originally looked up. God bless Wikipedia.
City living is vastly superior to rural living, or God forbid hell suburban living. I don't know how people manage living in the middle of nowhere. It's even more baffling to me that there exist people who actually CHOOSE to live in the middle of nowhere.

Reminds me of when I was a child and went to spend weekends with my former foster parents. I love them to bits, but their neighborhood? Creepy as all hell. It always seemed to have gray skies over it and was eerily quiet. I can't help but get the feeling that if a killer started chasing me down the street and I screamed for help and banged on the doors, no one would do anything. Like the whole block is a place from the twilight zone.

I actually like Japanese RPG's as well but I haven't done much exploring on what's out there. I've just played a few of my cousins but that was years ago. I tend to play multiplayer games though if I have friends to play with... I still like to play Left 4 Dead, the first one over the second one haha but I do like the customization on it online. I've played in Pallet Town and although the monsters are nothing special, it's cool for a few rounds. Did you ever get into Super Smash Brothers? I haven't played much of the 3rd one... I would really like to see how the Mizukage fights, I think she's pretty cool but I feel like she would be sorta slow in the video game. Practice makes perfect! I used to get frustrated too but mine was because I couldn't copy a picture... so I gave up on that and now I don't draw people... hands are hard to draw, I feel like eyes are hard to draw as well because of the symmetry even though a lot if not all people aren't symmetrical. I really like to use graphite when I draw but it rubs off so easily... painting with it is nice too but again, it damages way to easily. Wow haha, scooters for transportation around the lounge, that sounds pretty cool! Haven't ridden one of those in like 8-9 years. Good luck on that! Have you made cover letters in the past? Besides getting them done in high school? Hahaha, I agree... it's quite out there in my city. It's unavoidable on the streets and in the parade here. Props to them for being so comfortable, just not my thing. I'm taking something called Tramacet which is just Tramadol mixed with Acetominophen(Tylenol). I'm used to the tylenol but the tramadol makes my head feel a bit loopy when I'm standing. I almost had to have surgery. I dislocated my hip and I fractured some of my lower pelvic bone in the back... doctors say I'm lucky that it didn't get in between the joints otherwise I would have had to get transferred to another hospital for surgery sweatdrop . No lie, I was in tears... fear of losing my job(as I just got it), not being able to pay rent and having to move with this injury, just a lot of stress. I'll be out for another 4 weeks d:... but I'm doing a lot better honestly. I wouldn't mind my vivid dreams if they weren't so negative. I had one where I fought with my roommate and we started to throw stuff at each other and she chased me with a knife... and I knocked her out with slamming the door in her face... knife ended up cutting her but I didn't see where, just the pool of blood under the door that was getting closer to me. I decided to run and then I woke up as I almost got hit by a car... there was headlights and honking and I woke up sweating. There were more dreams than that but it gives you an idea. I still remember the verbal exchanges too and this was the first dream. I think this stemmed from the fear of having to move out and telling my roommate. What kind of vivid dreams do you get if you don't mind me asking?

Mizu what now? I only watched fragmented episodes of the anime, so I don't many of the terms or backstory for Shippuden Characters. I did have smash brothers for a while but got bored of it, as I didn't have the razor sharp skill level at it as other people who I knew played the game had. Even if I did, they only ever play final destination with no items, so I find it boring. I only have a Wii (original) and 3ds, so my game library is limited. May get a PS3 when I have the extra money. No I haven't done any other cover letters besides high school, and I don't believe I kept any on my flash drive for examples. This is the first job application I've done that asks for one. Oh my various gods, painful doesn't begin to describe that, I imagine. I hope you recover soon so the bills don't pile up on you, and I'm glad you're feeling better. My vivid dreams are fairly odd, and I sometimes wonder if they're different dreams and I just didn't know when one ended and the other began (since I found out it's possible to have multiple dreams in one session of sleep, and not remember certain ones, as they happen rapidly). One I sort of remembered went like this: I was in sort of a museum/store area, and all of a sudden, a deer appeared with a glow around it. It ran/skipped deeper into the museum, and for some reason, I felt the need to follow it and protect it, so I did. Then, it stopped near a water fountain or something, and I tried to get close, but before I knew it, I was teleported to a kitchen somewhere. And for whatever reason, I was naked. I could hear people I knew from high school coming, and I had nowhere to run to, so I hid under a table. They came into the room and I could see their feet and I was thinking "Please no, I'm just going to die if they see me." And I wrapped my arms around my legs while sitting up on the floor, and hid my head, and poof! I was suddenly clothed, and they disappeared. And that's all I remember. Pretty strange and all over the place. I have had dreams about fighting various people like you did in your dream though. Now an example of a GOOD dream was one where I walked out to the backyard of my apartment building and there was a purple dragon there. I rode it and escaped to an old-fashioned-looking city. I could actually feel the dragon and its scales, and I had an unusual amount of control over the dream and where we flew, which is why it's probably the best dream I've had in ages.

Mizukage is the "Hokage" kind of person for the Mist I believe, long orange hair and she spits elements like lava or a poisonous acidic mist. I took interest in it recently... given they've moved into the 5th war and have banded together. I love watching action packed things and so this war is just awesome for me. I know what you mean, I play like.. Peach, Ness and Jigglypuff just cause they're fun for me. Some of my friends have that razor sharp skill level, kicking you off the edge if you got close to it, rolling around the map and blocking/dodging everything. I only have a ps3 but I'm happy with it, especially lately xD even though it's mostly been Netflix and YouTube. I like how there's more RPG games for this platform. I could probably send you my cover letter as an example for when I applied for the vet clinic, once I find it. Could be on the computer at the other house so I'll probably get my friend to send it. Thank you xD. I moved out since then though, as it's just a lot easier to live with family. Thanks xD. I have never had that happen to me, but I notice locations begin to merge for me and places will be connected despite being far apart, it's kind of cool but weird. Sometimes if I wake up and go back to sleep my dream alters a bit from the original which is kind of cool. Sounds like a pretty intense dream... would have been cool if it continued with the museum/deer dream! I kind of want to know what it meant. Almost sounds like lucid dreaming, I would love to be able to lucid dream but it was probably a random occurence for you. I have a friend who practices it and she gets ii a couple of times a month, she's been practicing for awhile. That would be so cool to feel textures and remember what they feel like. When I dream, I have to lie there and take the time(about 5-10 minutes) to remember it or else I won't remember it much which is a good thing... but these vivid dreams make me remember so much more lol.

Whenever I go on holiday somewhere where most of the population actually goes home to sleep at night, I can't sleep for at least the first week or so. Not at night, anyway. I find that kind of silence, combined with that level of darkness completely unsettling. I'm normally not the kind of person that needs to sleep with the television on, but in the country, I have to find SOME way of creating a little bit of background noise if I'm going to get any sleep. And recorded sound will never be the same as "live" sound, but it's still better than nothing.

Oh okay. There's no one like that in the games I have, so they must be pretty outdated. Yeah, that's one of the reasons I want a ps3, too. Not to mention there's the Soul Calibur games with the ability to make your own characters. I love any games where you have lots of options for creation/customization. I've been looking for an rpg where I can create a character and have what I believe most players call a "sandbox" environment, where there's lots of stuff to do besides the main story. Need something to fill my time when I'm not at work. (I didn't mention I have a job now, but applying for the lounge since I could use a second one.) About what the dream may mean: ________________________________________________________________ Deer To see a deer in your dream symbolizes grace, compassion, gentleness, meekness and natural beauty. It has feminine qualities and may point to the feminine aspect within yourself. It also represents independence, alertness, and virility. Consider the symbol to be a pun for someone who is "dear" to you. Alternatively, the dream represents vulnerability and naivet. As a result, others may take advantage of you and your gullibility. Protection To dream that you are protecting someone, like I was protecting the deer, or something suggests that you are putting up an emotional wall or barrier between you and others around you. Consider who or what you are protecting for clues as to what aspect of your own self you are afraid of letting out and letting others know. Naked To dream that you are naked denotes fear of being found out and exposed over your activities. You feel that you are being misjudged. But to dream that you suddenly discover your nudity and are trying to cover up signifies your vulnerability to a situation. _______________________________________________________________ There's a thread in the Heaven forum about lucid dreaming and how to do it, and I've checked it out, but I never read it in its entirety. I believe I've had a couple of lucid dreams before. Pretty fun stuff when you realize you can do anything. And hey if you're offering, I'd be glad to take a look at your cover letter for an example.

My bad.. I was thinking of Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 lol. Character roster on there is huge. I have a Soul Calibur game but it collects dust... I'm so used to Mortal Kombat's way of doing moves that I haven't clicked onto how to do it in Soul Calibur. I guess what I'm saying is that the fighting styles are different. I never got into it, it was a gift from my sisters boyfriend haha. Where do you currently work? Interesting... my mom has studied dreams and she's a very spiritual person and I hate telling her my dreams cause she knows whats going on in my life.. it's kind of scary how accurate she can be. Sometimes they have no meaning at all and are just random dreams too. I'll probably check it out, thanks for leading me there. I'll have lots of time to read it haha.
