"HEEEEEEY FOOOOOOOOOOX"
The little coyote looking Audio padded his way into the 'hideout' (more like a hidey hole...) his knapsack of 'treasures' dragged behind him.

"FOX FOX FOX. HEY. FOX. WHERE ARE YOU?"
He was being extremely -loud- in his search, looking all over for the other Audio.

"I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU!"
No really, it was super important.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2014 4:56 pm

Really, was it too much to ask for one day of quiet? Just one. It couldn't be asking for much, no. Then again, given the gravity of what, exactly, was going on through the city, it likely was.

But really. Really now. Did that damnable little coyote just have to screech his way about? Just because part of her ear was missing, didn't mean that she was incapable of hearing him.

Simply, she'd been choosing to ignore Raider. Flashover had caused quite a stir and she had other things to be concerned about than what sort of knickknack he'd found. No matter how important it seemed (to him).

Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the little guy was about to stop asking for her, so she finally dropped down from where she'd been perched, landing in front of him and looking down.

"What is it, Raider? I'm rather busy."

EXCUSE YOU FOX he found the best things ever okay? He often found knives! Knives were useful! As was rope, which he had found plenty of today. His little knapsack was full.

But he wasn't pulling things out of there to show her. No, with a happy tail wag he just grinned up at the other.

"I saw that guy, that was on the screens.. The dirty looking guy. I saw him! He was taking a pup..."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2014 5:04 pm

Fox snorted. Dirty was certainly an appropriate word for him. Ironically it was the cleanest word she could think to use for Flashover. As Raider gave a quick rundown of what he'd come across, she frowned.

It wasn't uncommon for Flashover to take pups, but she was surprised he was doing that now. One would have assumed he'd have been otherwise preoccupied.

Hmm.

Interesting.

"Just a random pup?" she questioned. "I didn't think there were too many of those left roaming the streets these days. Usually he's into headphones..." she murmured the last part mostly to herself, mulling it over in her head.

"Huh."

"No no, that's the interesting part! The pup was talking about her fathers..."
Here, surely Fox would be happy with this bit of information he brought back.

"She referred to Daddy-Bass, and Daddy-Proto..."

No, not a random pup at all. A -bot- pup. And apparently related to the City's generals.

Raider was so ecstatic with the worth of this information that his little tail just -would not- stop wagging.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2014 5:13 pm

"... Wait what!?" Fox's eyes widened as Raider continued to spill the beans on the situation. She sort of stared at him for a few moments, making sure that she hadn't misheard his words.

"But they're robots..." she muttered quietly, shaking her head.

It took her back to memories of her time in the tower. The first one. There had been talk about experiments in combining the headphones of robots to create new ones. A means that would save on the cost to build them.

It hadn't been proven though. As far as she'd known, it'd never been tested either. It was simply that. A rumour.

A frown found itself on her face. Flashover didn't need access to one of those robots. That wouldn't end well for anyone. If it really was the pup of Wily's two Generals... that wouldn't go over well either. The city itself was already suffering enough.

Rubbing the bridge of her nose, she nodded her head at Raider. Then, after heaving a hefty sigh, she pulled it away.

"That ... is very helpful, Raider." the reality of it hit her, that this was not as shocking as she'd felt in the initial moments of the revelation.

Even in just taking Glitch for an example. Wily was capable of doing many things, and he had the drive to push things til he got what he wanted. It had been what she'd enjoyed most about working there. Nothing to hold anyone back, nothing to stop progress.

"Did you see where they went?"

Raider really had no idea what all Fox was thinking of. He didn't have much history in this City, and what little he did had been spent with Fox and Glitch. Things that happened before mattered little to him, outside of what treasures he could scavenge from the wreckage.

What DID matter was that he had finally dug up something Fox had found useful. FINALLY he had proven himself to the other. Glitch had liked him since the moment they met...

Fox had been another story.

"I did! I saw the building he took the pup into and everything!"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2014 6:34 pm

He'd proven that he could be useful. Yes. He was still a pain in her tail though. When he offered that he had seen where they went, however? That... that was more than just useful.

"Show me." she motioned for the coyote to go. This was something she had to see for herself. Reality told her she should likely find Glitch and bring him along, but with what was going on, she wanted to get there sooner than later, before more s**t hit the fan.

This was a rare opportunity presenting itself. Fox planned on making the most of it while Flashover was distracted with his own business.

"Okay!"

He dropped his knapsack on the floor and darted back out of the hideout. Raider was careful to keep to the shadows, with the craziness going on in the City these days. He was annoying, yes, but he wasn't stupid.

With Fox in tow, it was about forty minutes before he managed to lead her to the place he had seen Flashover go into. Throughout the trip he had managed to stay mostly quiet.

It was impressive.

"Here it is!"
He waved a paw at the building.
"I saw him pick up the pup and go in there."

Fox moved in silence behind the coyote. She was used to keeping a low profile, avoiding being seen. Hell, with everything that had been going on, the Fox had been keeping to herself on a whole for the most part in general.

With Flashover distracted, though, and Raider's find? This was a prime time to move on that. She'd been hunting for Flashover's hideout for months. Never had she come across it though, despite all her attempts.

For Raider to have just happened on it was nothing more than dumb luck, really. It was dumb luck she could benefit from, however.

When the Coyote stopped and waved his paw towards the building, she arched a brow. The structure was definitely sound looking, but it blended well enough with how decrepit the area looked in general, she would have passed by it hundreds of times without thinking twice.

"Well, I'll be damned..." she mused to herself, suddenly moving up to stand next to Raider.

"You did good, kid." she offered the younger audio. As she spoke, she pulled the hood of her cloak down, and unclasped it at the front.

"Here." she dropped it over his head then.

"Thank you."

With that, she quickly moved passed the other, and was definitely not letting this opportunity slide. Flashover and the Robot Masters could battle themselves to death, as far as she cared. There was no losing there.

She had work to do.

"Aw thanks, I just wanted to he---EEP"
The coyote-Audio squeaked as the cloak dropped heavily around him. It was...rather big on Raider, but it was something he had his eye on ever since he had met the other Audio. Clearly this was the BEST gift!

He gave a happy bark as he adjusted the garment on him. The hood tried to flop into his face, so that would take some getting used to....but overall it was awesome. That settled, he quickly moved to follow Fox inside.

Hey, he had led her here. Like hell he wasn't going to go inside!
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 5:17 pm

Fox didn't take the time to stop Raider from following her. If he wanted to tag along, at this point, she didn't care. Making her way about the place, she eventually found the entrance point. A door that was hidden slightly from the view off the roads.

Moving over to it, she reached out to the handle and gave a quick twist. Surprisingly, it was unlocked. Then again, the fact that it didn't stick out likely lent to a lack of need to do so. A wry grin curled at the corner of her lip for the first time in a very long time, and she carefully, quietly, opened it. Glancing over to the coyote, she pressed a finger to her lips, signaling that he remain silent for the time being.

The audio then moved into the building, glancing around. It was mostly quiet, though there was some muffled noise coming from the upper levels. Her footsteps were silent as she was careful not to make noise as she moved further in.

So.

This is where Flashover stayed in his off time.

It was strangely... homey.

When Flashover wasn't off being a fire-loving maniac he had spent time to make his base as comfortable as possible. After all, he wanted those he coaxed to his side to -stay- on his side. It had what it needed, scavenged things to sit on, a few tables, notebooks and other such things to hold some of his more -sane- plans. He didn't, after all, want Ash to worry over some of the more intense things he thought up.

Such as the battle currently going on in another area of the City.

Raider padded in behind her, remaining quiet as instructed. At least until he tripped right over his new cloak and landed face first on the floor with a yipe.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 6:35 pm

Fox had made her way over to those notebooks, and had begun to thumb through one. Unfortunately she had to stop when Raider suddenly went tumbling over the cloak, making that God awful yipping noise. What was left of her ears flattened to her head and her gaze narrowed.

Instant regret of giving the child that cloak. Not even a full fifteen minutes had passed since she'd dropped it on his head.

Making another SHUSH motion, she stood still, listening hard. It occurred to her, then, that the noise upstairs had stopped. That couldn't be a good sign.

After another moment had passed, the sound of footsteps coming down stairs hit her ears and the audio quickly moved to grab Raider, hauling him up to his feet and finding some place to shove him into hiding.

"Flash?" A quiet voice called from the bottom of the stairs, the footsteps moving toward the room Fox and Raider found themselves in.

"Are you back? I was worried s-" Ash stopped speaking when she poked her head into the room. She had one previous run in with Cynder Fox in the past, but it had been just a brief view of the other.

********. One of Flash's pet projects. Fox wasted no time in jumping at the girl. She didn't want to hurt her, but she couldn't let her go running off and squealing. Alerting anyone else in the nearby vicinity. No, instead she managed to get ahold on the girl, using enough pressure around her throat to knock her out. She then quickly let go and carefully placed her on the ground.

"We've got little time now, Raider." Fox looked over towards the area she'd left the coyote.

"Lets move."

It wasn't his fault! He HAD been quietl. Perfectly so even! But he couldn't help but make noise when he -faceplanted-. It had hurt his nose afterall!

Poor little coyote nose.

While Fox had been busy dealing with...whoever that was, Raider had been busy...well, raiding the place. When she called for him, he popped out of his hiding place with a handful of papers in his paws. They seemed to be diagrams of some sort...and closer inspection would show them to be plans for some of Flashover's weapons.

One particularly interesting one was a type of flammable gel, with notes that it had worked wonderfully on Bass.
