He looked a lot like a Renny, or a metal head, depending the levels of bleed over between the two dress sub-cultures. It also was enough leather and black on his uniform that visiting rough bars with more smoke than air and whole lines of motorcycles gleaming in flashing neon of the windows was easy. Titanlåvenite was tall enough, wide enough, and looked rough enough that he never got carded walking in.

Biker bars didn't seem to care much about carding anyway, unless someone really didn't look like they belonged. It was good proximity practice for harvesting. No one thought twice when someone passed out- just too much to drink. Or if they'd gotten into a barfight, of course anyone he hit went down- just look at him. As it was, there was a handful tonight that weren't regulars and took exception that he refused to answer which bike was his outside. Whether someone had a bike or not, in order to get into the bar, just seemed stupid. Especially when I'm not even old enough to be here, if you were to ask.

The boldest, who took a swing at his ribs, Titan threw out the doors and into the gravel lot. Walking out of the bar to follow his chosen target, Titan bent to get through the doors and then looked out into the dark over the lines of glinting chrome and lacquer paint. The biker guy was scrambling up to his feet and swearing, but the Negaverse captain was distracted, There is a knight's signature nearing, surely. All the way here? This is a good drive out from city center. Why would a knight come to a rough place like this?

He couldn't imagine Hvergelmir or Babylon in the biker bar- too much dirt, cursing, alcohol and filth-talk. Salt of the earth in a roundabout way....nothing meant for the high scope of a knight. The biker was taking another swing for his ribs, knuckles hitting, probably bruising, but it wasn't worth much notice. Titan didn't flinch, and the biker backed away unsettled.
"Leave. You aren't worth fighting tonight."

The man complied, hurrying inside. Maybe to talk big to his friends, maybe to call the cops. It didn't matter. There was someone out there, and they felt strong.

Ironically, Kairatos, who was fairly comfortable with the whole motorcycle scene overall, or at least... with motorcycles, (Which didn't tend to prod at the cardboard stand up that was standing in for the civilian life he could not longer remember.) Definitely didn't blend in. Not even a little.

...It would actually have been fairly hard for him to blend in anywhere but a showing of 300 or maybe Spartacus, but for a man wearing something that appeared to be a strappy leather skirt and a bulls head in mixed metals and horn, he projected an almost ridiculous amount of personal confidence. Maybe less ridiculous if you had the ability to feel magical power, the way he and Titan did.

Although to be fair it was sort of funny, even Kairatos would admit, to see a man dressed in something that passingly resembled Roman armor riding a Kawasaki with a red and white paint job. It wasn't maybe the most practical choice for his uniform, but on the other hand, it was faster than going by roof top, and he really didn't find the ability to jump between buildings quite as novel as he had initially.

He pulled up a respectful distance from the enormous Captain, turned off the motorcycle, and turned an thin, impish smile on Titanlåvenite matched by an glimmer in his unremarkably olive green eyes that suggested he was waiting for the moment to tell Titan a particularly humorous joke.

Titan was the first real encounter with an agent of the Negaverse, rather than a youma, that he had encountered since he had changed sides, and he was damn well looking forward to seeing what happened.

"I always used to prefer the race track." He confided, with amusement. "But I gotta admit the place has atmosphere."

He leaned forward, resting one arm across the handle bars, trying to conceal the fact he was slowly tensing to spring into action, his fingers slowly curling into the weighted net at his side.

"Tell you what. How about for tonight we just enjoy the atmosphere. I'll buy you a beer, we split some wings and watch some other idiots bang heads instead of us, and I sure as hell won't tell anyone we did anything but clash."

He was definitely not Camelot.

The skirted man was riding a crotch-rocket? The skirted man was the knight he felt! It made sense after the initial moment of confusion. There wasn't any better reason that he could come up with for why anyone would ride that sort of a bike to this sort of a bar, or why they would do it wearing ...that sort of a outfit. Why anyone would wear that on any given day out of choice?

Where do leather-skirt knights come from? Babylon wears a lot to go to Mercury. Maybe its something far, far out, like Pluto, in the other direction? Hopefully someplace warm, or he must get awfully cold. That's like wearing a bikini on that bike. Titan shifted his hand out to his side, his hammer materialized in it with much less strain than it had needed as a lieutenant. " I have not finished, I cannot rest. It is not a fill of beer I seek here. "

This is a Knight. How will I face him?? This is like facing Babylon, if he had a reason to fight me. He will be so fast...has to be more than a weapon. Something too big to easily dodge. Or too much. "If you stand aside, or you take the knee, we wouldn't have to fight. We are enemies."

He didn't expect, with a glint and grin like that, that there was going to be any sort of talking the way there had been with Babylon or Hvergelmir. There was no point in waiting for the man to use the time to get the jump on him- BullSkirt already had a rank advantage. Titan chucked his hammer at the knight, hoping it would be enough to buy him time for a better weapon.

... Yeah. Yeah he had no idea how Camelot did this and HOLY ******** NUTS THIS WENT SO DIFFERENTLY IN HIS HEAD.

He had absolutely not planned on the goddamn sledge hammer. And he had apparently forgotten the cardinal rule of not forgetting that magical strength superiority was not the same thing as an automatic ability to kick a** on all opponents.

He'd once taught Castor something about that and this Giant was apparently the universe giving him a pop quiz to remember the lesson.

Out loud of course this all looked and sounded a bit different.

"Are you k-" he started, eyes saucer sized before he lost the game of chicken and threw himself off his motorcycle in an undignified lurch to the back and side, the head of the bull and his breast plate protesting in a metallic fashion. Against a blade he'd trust it, but against that hammer, he was honestly afraid of having his ribs knocked in, savagely. As the hammer banged down somewhere out of sight he made for his feet in haste.

"I will... I will NOT kneel." He thought that was what the huge man meant by 'take the knee'... "And we do not have to be enemies unless you make me. I've stood where you are!"

He had no idea if he was even being heard, and he clutched the net, trying to calculate a path to tangling those massive arms. Maybe use his magic... see who 'took the knee' then.

What did he even mean by 'stood where you are'? He comes to this club often? Surely I woudl have seen him before. Or...right here? What's so special about right here?

There was at least something a little special, as it was smack dab in the line of motorcycles- which was enough of an idea that the Captain just ran with it. Or better put, lifted it. Titan grabbed into the steel and chrome of the nearest Iron 883. Gas in the tank, it was maybe 600lbs. It was more than his usual bench and less than his dead lift, but with a captain's strength in his limbs it felt soooooo light. So light. A genuinely happy smile spread over his mouth as he chucked the poor machine at the glinting bull's head in the dim. If I throw enough of these at him, maybe I'll hit him once. Or he'll go away! I don't even need a harness for these!

"If you stay where the Konge claim rights, you will kneel or leave."

Or die. A truth that sat less well than the idealism of his start as a lieutenant. He didn't wish it to come to that inevitability of war.

Holycrap this guy had to be kidding. He just... yeah. yeah he did that. And apparently he, personally, wasn't doing a great job at convincing the guy that they didn't have to fight, which honestly would have made this a lot easier than dodging 600 pounds of gorgeous motorized machine, which was a bit less gorgeous when it landed, crashing down far too close for comfort as Kairatos whirled to dodge and scramble to his feet.

"Y'know..." The line might have sounded snappier if it weren't spoken in haste as he concentrated on the situation. "I hate multiple choice. I'd rather make up my own answer."

His plan was risky, but he'd rather risk being in reach of those massive arms than keep playing dodge cycle. Seriously this guy had NO respect for a work of art.

He moved fast, not a natural sprinter per se, but he ran miles, rather than lift weights usually, and he was really looking forward to seeing how things went down if he count bring his net and magic to bear on the situation. Maybe the guy would actually listen to him.

He dashed for Titan, not in a straight line, but a jagged path through and over the parked bikes, net clenched in his fists.

"I gave up kneeling for the Negaverse already!"

"Jävlar*, " Titan had the time to see the man dodge, to cycle crashing with horrible twisting metal cacophony. In the same moment he was moving, side-jogging to get his hands on another down the line as the Knight was on his feet and eating up the ground between them. He's too fast.

Not to mention everything out of his mouth was still just as confusing. Did we have him captive? I...didn't hear anything about captives we were holding. I guess a captain might not be high enough to know that sort of thing. But ...it seems like I should be as part of the special operations.

"What are you talking about?" his grip landed on a XRTT 1750 that had to be around 500 lbs. It would do just fine. He chucked it as the knight crested another parked bike, too close for comfort.

"********."

It was, at least, a creative combination of swear words as Kairatos' charge was briefly stopped so that he could pretty literally hit the deck as the new airborne motorcycle smashed into the one he had just barely cleared, so close that parts of it screeched over the back of his breastplate as he dropped. He was pretty sure a few sharper edges carved themselves against his bare arms, but he was so wired up he barely registered the damage as more than a vague stinging wetness where long lines began to bleed that would burn and hurt like fire later, or possibly blister, if the motorcycle had been recently ridden and still hot.

"Stop ******** throwing motorcycles and I'll tell you!"
Frikin' Andre the goddamn Giant...

"Seriously man, these are some goddamn works of art you're tossing around!"

Maybe. Just maybe he could get this down without being hit full on with a motorcycle. Maybe he didn't have to bring it down to a close hand fight and pray his magic and strength were enough.

The command was good advice- the knight was officially Too Close for Motorcycles. But he was still on the ground. Titan held his hand out at the dark, working will and energy in the breath for his hammer to return to hand like Mjölnir of legend. It came, loyal steel, and he stepped forward. Titan brought it down as though to strike a railroad spike where the glint of the Bull's Head reflected the gold and blue Pabst logo at weird lines and angles.

"A Knight is a heavy opponent for a Captain. They make up the weight."
Don't let him up. Don't let him get his bearing...*Var inte så förbannat dum! You let him get this near.

Kairatos actually rose into the blow, bulls head forward, the bronze... or something like it... bulls head taking the hammer like an animal at the slaughter house and denting with a bell like clang that almost muffled the sound, almost wet branch like, of breaking bone.

The bull itself actually warped and deformed, one of the horns tilting drasticly inward toward the other, but it was a sacrificial move designed to take an even bigger risk and rough thick cords rope whipped around toward Titans wrists and the handle of his hammer, even while Kairatos almost dropped back to his knee from pain.

"You Kneel." He snarled, through teeth gritted so hard they were almost ready to crack.

Ivynian
Kairatos honestly has no idea what the hell he'll do if this doesn't work. The man needs to plan ahead more.

Quote:
Touch effect from net: Using this net on an enemy causes a psychological effect that makes them start to see Kairatos as being especially intimidating, even beyond his abilities. A particularly strong foe might see him as more challenging than he actually is, and a weak one might even see him as an untouchable, force of battle. there is an actual drain on fighting spirit in foes, which is channeled from them, not to Kairatos but to the weakest present ally, to give them the vigor and strength to fight on. If there is no one in the battle other than Kairatos, then the fighting energy is simply dispersed after draining. Personal energy to, say, retreat, remains, but the actual desire to continue to fight fades.

Total Duration: pool of 45 seconds. After the actual magic wears off, the player can choose how they deal with the psychological effects, but the drained energy/spirit will take time to recover, probably depending on how combat minded the individual target is.

The blow landed!
But rope tangled his arm and hammer, even as he pulled back as though to strike again. The growl of the Knight's voice came as one of anger instead of coloured at all of pain. The wet sounds ceased to register- the man was still fighting.

The blow had done nothing, only ruined a decoration. The arm beneath must not only be hale, but still strong. A bull in red and leather. I should have run. What am I doing still. Why didn't I run? A blow like that and nothing. ...he's too much. I have to get away. He'll make an end of me and then I'll be no help for Obsidian, Wolframite or Bismuthite. No help to Nischal or Colin. I'll never get to bring Hvergelmir cards or coffee.

The thoughts were a torrent, though, turning the tangled backswing into the Captain wholesale letting go of his weapon to drop heavily and be more just tangle in the net. The weight shift put him backwards on his backside, awkwardly still drawn forward enough with his wrist and arm extended out in Kairatos net. GET AWAY!

He was panicking. Why was he panicking? He couldn't teleport if he was panicking.

The impression that Titan was getting in the throws of Kairatos magic and the reality of what was going through Kairatos's head were slightly different.

His teeth were gritted, and red and white dots of light flashed in his eyes, and he let the hammer fall to the pavement, still half tangled in the net in his still good hand.

"You don't... have... to do this." He managed through gritted teeth, his shoulder in so much pain that he was all but breathless. He wanted to take the bulls head off, but then again, he was almost sure that was the only thing keeping it from being worse.

"You. Have. ... A choice. I..." He wanted to say more, to explain more to the Giant who was now scrambling in terror. "... I used to be Realgar."

He didn't have the concentration to go into more detail. No long elaborate speech right now.

"You... you have the right to choose. Go. Think. Find me when you want to know more..."

By which time he was hoping his bones would have set, and he was also hoping that he'd have had the chance to get someplace with medical care. Maybe Asclepius was on duty tonight. Maybe he'd be there before it sunk in on Tiny that he'd done more damage than he seemed to currently realize.

Maybe he'd at least be out of sight before he did something humiliating like throwing up.

The words weren't making it through the immediate panic, but stashed away in brainspace for once life and limb weren't in danger of destruction by LeatherSkirt The Terrible. He was still growling words.
Titan pulled and turned his wrist and fingers all the more until he was wholly free.

I used to be Realgar
Safety. Focus and survival demanded safety and familiarity- the captain pulled it together enough that he vanished. Teleported not to home, but to one of the small parks near the MetroCentral Gym. It was far, too far really, and he collapsed over against a light post vomiting and disoriented.

Away. At least away. What the hell just happened....where did it all go wrong? Might pass out...don't teleport so far. Not thinking. Stupid.
