Orpheus Solon And no Loot rolls needed for these new guys! Grrel, after spending a few fun days and nights with Zerelth, finally managed to drag herself away and headed out back to her clan. The reports of yet more different, new, stranger mara’s made her worry about how her clan was doing. Though, since apparently several of her clan’s members had succeeded at the ritual before she did, they should have enough fire power to keep the clan safe… Right? But what really made her eager to encounter them, was the rumor she’d heard of a diamond one. Oh I want one of those! She thought eagerly as she cruised above the dunes and flew about looking for something shiny below. Diamonds! The bet and shiniest of all the stone! Also the strongest and hardest… Which did not bode well for her if the Mara was just as strong and tough as a Diamond. It’d taken sheer brute power to shatter and destroy that last batch.. how difficult would a diamond Mara be? Eager to test herself, and a lot more wary about magic after that last fight, she swooped about, eyes peeled for signs of metal, rock, or shiny things moving below her. She grinned as she spotted the flash of something gleaming below her. It was large and moving: it must be a Mara of some sort! She gathered her magic about her and concentrated it into a globe. With a grin she dove, the globe crackling and sparking with suppressed power, wanting to explode. As she near she saw that it was actually more than one.. and the single gleam she’d seen had in fact been a crystalline Mara… who’d been deliberately shining to hide the others in the group. Opps, she thought, this may be a bit tougher. But she didn’t pull off. Why should she? The bomb was set and she was speeding by! She released her grip upon the lightning bomb as she flared her wing and pulled out of her dive to skim right through the group. Uh oh, she thought, not recognizing any of the shapes as similar to what she’d already encountered. Where there… more than just the new diamond Mara? The speed of her dive sent her spiraling away from the group.. right as the lightning exploded in a thundering crash, deafening her briefly. Behind her a small lightning storm was released, power running rampant for a brief while until the Mara’s buried it under the earth that they summoned. words: 410/1500

Eyphah was on a bit of a high at the moment, having enjoyed another battle against the Mara though this time again what it was that he assumed was some of their newer, tougher troops. Had he really defeated so many of them that they were starting to send their better troops after him? In his mind that was the answer of course. That they felt the first three types weren't good enough, that they had to send out the big guns, but even them there was just no stopping him. Didn't they know who he was? What he was? That he was going to be the one to eradicate their kind so that they would be unable to lay their filthy hands on his clan or the little whelps like Nehelini? He doubted they quite understood the power he wielded or that he was going to rip them all apart limb from limb for daring to wander too close to where his clan had retreated for safety. He'd bring all their heads back and he'd dance around them... well, once he'd gotten his fill of battle at least. He couldn't say that he had just yet.
He was currently high up in the air, eyes on the ground, looking for more Mara to fight with. He hoped that it would be more of those new ones, they gave out the most wonderful prizes! To think that he would actually find jewels amongst his winnings. When he ran across his first Mara, which was naught more then a stone state wearing clothing, he really hadn't thought them much. Now though he felt that they had their uses. All he had to do now was bring the mass of stuff he'd found to a black smith and shake the guy down, make him make it into something useful. A new, bigger, better cauldron, and various other cooking utensils! Oh, a nice, new, sharp cleaver that would dull down a lot slower, maybe? Maybe he could get a two-leg jewel smith to make him one of diamond? At least then he didn't have to worry about breaking it trying to chop through bone. All these grand ideas flickered through his head making him glad that he hadn't eaten all of the two legs, they might in fact have their uses after all.
Eyphah was pulled from such thoughts, as well as pulled short so that he was flying in place as he watched what equated to some sort of strange light show going on down below him. He titled his head to one side, watching as lightning seemed to be churning down below before suddenly it was swallowed up under a wave of earthen magic. His eyes went for a moment wide, mind whirling. A battle of some sort, but between who? Two Khehora? Two Dovaa? One of each of those? When the sand started to settle a bit he saw the glittering forms of some of the Diamond Mara which told him instantly that it was Mara that someone was fighting though e still couldn't say who. Heck, he didn't see anyone else down there. Missing the cause of the lightning storm completely due to where his attention was at the moment he found himself wondering if perhaps they were... dead? A voice in the back of his head question if that meant this group of Mara was up for grabs then?
A grin spread across his maw as he dove down from his high vantage point, aiming for one of the two Crafter Mara amongst the group. He knew them to be the weakest amongst the new comers, best to finish this one off first, then the Dark Mage Mara, and finally he could turn his attention to the Diamond Mara. The best way he'd found thus far from dealing with them was a rather violent way, so best they were always saved till last so that he could concentrate on such a task. His dive took him down, close to the ground, it was only when he was that close that he opened his wings, pulling up, and grabbed hold of the unfortunate Crafter Mara as he went back up into the sky. Once he was far enough up he set to work kicking the Crafter Mara apart while spearing its joints with the scythe at the end of his tail. Another thing he should get, a nice, diamond reinforced weapon to lay over his tail spike to help protect it against enemies with tough skin he thought to himself as he took the Crafter Mara apart pieces by piece, letting said pieces drop to the ground below.

Flaring her wings to catch the heat off of the sands, Grrel swooped back into the air. Turning around she huffed at seeing the earth smother her bomb. And at the sight of another coming in to claim her kills. Luckily the other Khehora grabbed… wait. She paused. Khehorian, she thought, as she got a closer look. And diabi from the looks of it, wonder if he’s from around here? Normally she wouldn’t mid the help, but there were diamonds for her to claim! Well, if she could. While he was busy taking apart a slimmer rock statue than the other rock Mara’s she’d encountered, Grrel dove down to grab the shiny sparkly one. She wanted to claim one as her kill just in case they came to blows over the diamonds… Grrel loved shiny and sparkly gems! It hurt to grab. The sharp edges of the limbs cut into her hands and she hissed in annoyance. The Mara tried to attack her with its sharp bladed arms, but Grrel shifted forms to be a small target. Then she flew up, far up. Diamonds were strong… and she bet that she could use it to destroy the others! Her clawed hands dripping blood from gripping the sharpened edges, she dove down, aiming at another Mara ,this one looking darker than what she’d seen before. They slammed together, the diamond shattering the other’s body and causing the glowing lights of the not-quite-magic-not-quite-soul to flee. But the diamond remained untouched. It managed to slide out of her hands with a savage shake, cutting her palms yet more. Grrel, in her greed, ignored the other forms, she saw only the sparkly now that must be defeated so she could have its body. Her tail lashed angrily and she pounded the Diamond Mara with her lightning in blinding crackling whips of pure power. She knew you could shatter rock with power…. But how much would be needed to kill a diamond? words: 737/1500

Once he had finished off the poor Crafter Mara, making short work of the thing, he dropped it's head, catching it with one of his back feet, and looked down at the battlefield once more... and found himself watching another Khehora as she attacked the Diamond Mara in a manner that he knew to be quite ineffective due to his own earlier dealings with them. Much to his surprise, and his delight, she shifted forms into that of a Khehorian proving to him that he was fighting alongside of another rather powerful Khehora. That was good, he really didn't want to have to take time out of his busy, Mara slaughtering schedule to have to same a little whelp. Knowing that she was Khehorian herself it allowed him to enjoy watching the battle that was unfolding before him and enjoy it he did.
After an initial attack against the Diamond Mara, and after shifting, she had changed her tactics and had been able to beat the Dark Mage Mara to pieces using the Diamond Mara as a weapon. At least she was on the right track he thought to himself, tail swishing behind him. There was a moment that he couldn't help but to grin a bit, finding it amusing that there was in fact another Khehora out here fighting in a manner similar to him, that being a very violent manner. He would have clapped were it not for the fact that there was still much to do. He couldn't let himself get completely side tracked watching her fight when there were others to deal with. Diving down he placed the head of the Crafter Mara on the ground before he hurried forward toward the battle, sliding to a halt when the female blasted one of the Diamond Mara with Lightning magic, "Bah, magic." He had much preferred when she was beating them to death with one another he thought to himself. A shame she had to change tactics but he supposed that not everyone out there was magically inept... not that he would call it that, instead he'd call it 'pure physical prowess' or something of the light.
When the lightening storm ceased he continued his charge, grabbing hold of one of the Diamond Mara, swinging it into the one that she had weakened with the lightning, looking quite elated when it shattered and the other one was left covered in a spiderweb of cracks, "Hey! Hit this one next!" He called up to the Kiandri before he went charging at the poor Crafter Mara that had been left alone until this point but was now on Eyphah radar. He'd kill that one next. It would leave only the second Diamond one alive, provided of course that the Kiandri didn't blast it. If she did... well, it might be time to grab his prizes and be on his way. There were many Mara in the desert and if he slowed down more of them might be taken by others like this Kiandri Khehorian, something he didn't want to see happen since he wanted all the kills possible to be his!

She had to wait for the spots in her eyes to go away as the lightning whips were very bright… But she could sense that he odd magic in the Mara wasn’t approaching so she was okay for a second. And the power of another Mara flickered out as she waited for her sight to return. From the sound of stone crashing into stone, the other must have picked up and hit another Mara with a Mara like she had. At the sound of his voice, Grrel looked over at the other Khehorian and grinned at the sight. Yup, shattered on Mara and cracked another. Without the help of the long dive like she had. Must have a lot of strength! She also, for the first time, noticed there were more than one Diamond Mara’s. Well, that made this easier! And more difficult. But, since he seemed to be having an easier time, she did as he asked, sending a bolt of lightning at the cracked Mara before turning back to her own Diamond. She was pleased to see it had cracks as well and pounced upon it to crash it into the ground. Gripping it by the… tail or leg thing (she wasn’t sure but hey, it was where the tail or legs would be….) she spun it around to slam it into the last remaining Diamond. She was rewarded by her impromptu club shattering… and cutting her as the shards flew by. Diamond shards; beautiful but deadly, they left small cuts all over her arms and a few on her stomach and legs. She hissed and hopped back a bit. Her scales, it seemed, were a little softer in this new form… Plus, she looked at her bleeding hands, maybe she’d better let him deal with it… Since he had a weapon on his tail while she had just her lovely normal tail. words: 1052/1500

robot kitten A quick note, Eyphah hasn't turned to a Khehorian yet, not wanting to reveal his full power to the Mara just yet. Also, Grrel is looking really good! I wonder if Snow might do Khaldera's art in the way future when it's time for her to grow. Eyphah threw himself into the Crafter Mara, slamming into it, dragging it to the ground, and set to work taking it apart there. He didn't really have much to worry about since from the sounds of things the female was taking care of the Diamond Mara, finishing it off, leaving it to deal with the final one that was left standing. He would almost feel bad for it if it weren't for the fact that he wanted to take as many of them down as possible. It had become a bit of a game to him in fact, wanting to see how big a pile of the heads that he could build before he finally turned them in to the Khehorian leaders. It didn't take him but a few more moments to finish the Crafter Mara off, in comparison to the Diamond Mara they were rather pathetic after all. Chuckling to himself he carried it's head over to toss it to join the other one before he turned his attention to the female Khehorian.
His tail set to swishing behind him, his maw turning into a grin, and he said, "Good battle. Nothing better then tearing those guys apart, huh? I can't tell you how many of their heads I've collected thus far." He said, laughing about it as though it were the best thing ever, which, in his mind, it was. He gave her a once over before he said, "You are looking a bit scratch up, you might want to see about visiting a friend of mind, Tallulah, he's been patching me up between fights and I am sure he wouldn't mind casting a spell or two on you." He couldn't really see Tallulah turning anyone down, even if he was still hovering around that little two-leg whelp of his. Healing was a priority during battle, the boy might learn a thing or two from the Merkora, which would be a good thing for him.
"I can show you where he is if you want?" He offered as he moved about, gathering up Mara heads.

Orpheus Solon Wasn't sure, but Khehorians can sense the power in fellow Khehorians is what I am basing it off of? I'm tyring to do big posts XD But my mind wants to do 200-250 pots XD Grrel gave a grin, collecting heads? That did sound like fun… Perhaps she should have kept the other from the last encounter? Oh well, I can always gather more. “I can count mine... this is only the second group I’ve run across.” She looked own and sighed, “The diamond shattered… what a mess!” But at the mention of Tal’s name she looked up and grinned. “You know Tal as well? He’s a good fishing buddy.” And a decent fighter. Really sweet though, figures he’d be a healer. Grrel smiled at the memory of the delicious fish they’d caught and eaten. If he’s nearby… I bet I can convince him to go fishing again! If he was going to lead her to Tal… She shifted to her other form, she’d found flying in her tow legged form a bit... awkward. Not as streamlined as her regular body. And it had been a pain to keep losing the top. Got to get a better fitting one, she thought to herself, or one that won’t break when I dive. If she hadn’t needed the support, she’d have gone around without the silly restricting thing. The bottom was useful, she could attack a bag to it. Or string on nice shiny objects… Speaking of which, she turned to look at the Mara she’d killed. Time to gather the loot! Another reason for her Khehora form, easier to stash things on her back and not have the pack shift. The diamonds looked lovely, they’ll look even better once I start making pretty jewelry with them, she thought happily. Now that she had those useful hands…. Turning back to Eyphah she gave a cheerful gin, “Lead on! It’s been a while since I saw Tal. I ran into him before I did my ritual.” Bet he’d be surprised! words: 1354/1500

robot kitten Oooo, cool. ^_^ I keep forgetting about that. "Ahh, you know him too?" He shouldn't be surprised, Tallulah seemed to be quite the chatty, friendly sort. The fact that he was going around making friends with others, even being a 'fishing buddy' with this Kiandri, he could see it. He gave a smile, tail swishing, "He's staying with my clan at the moment, ever since the Mara first struck. It's a long trek to the ocean and I'd rather to keep him safe right where he is." Tallulah was a rare creature, unlike anything else he'd ever seen before, and as such Eyphah had claimed him as he did with anything rare that he ran across. He had to protect what was his, hence why he was keeping him with the clan for now.
Once both the Kiandri female had gathered what he wanted, and Eyphah got the heads gathered, he took to the skies, leading the way to where he had left Tallulah, "Ahh, it was before your ritual? Interesting, I am sure he will be interested to see the change." He wondered if it was before Tallulah went through his ritual? He wouldn't tell her about it, leaving Tallulah to tell her about it. They could show each other their new powers, it was something that was all well and good to show each other but he didn't want to let the Mara know what he was capable. What if they pull out even bigger soldiers, ones that were made to deal with even more powerful things? Best that they were careful about it he felt.
As they flew for the hidden caves he glanced down at the various heads he was carrying, feeling quite gleeful, his pile of Mara heads was growing. Soon he'd have himself a mountain of the to perch on! Something he'd do at least once before he brought them to drop them off with the Khehorian leaders to get his bounty.

Orpheus Solon And there. I met my word! Are we going to just transfer to an PRp now in the thread with Eyphah, Tal and her?Or more mara? I can do either. Grrel could almost see why you'd keep Tal safe.. but he'd helped her kill a Diabi! Why not let him roam the ocean and coasts? Being in the desert couldn't be good for the merkora! Grrel was actually kind of amused that all these strangers were seeing her new form before her clan... She really should make more of an effort to head home and help... but wasn't flying around and killing Mara helping? The more she got, the less would hit her clan. Plus.. she wasn't sure when she'd be able to meet Tal again. And this was a other Khehorian: why not stay and chat some? Wonder what his form looks like, she thought but didn't ask. Be kind of rude... Even if she really really wanted to know! "You sure he has to be kept safe? Tal and I took on a Diabi so I think he's strong enough." Grrel said as she easily kept pace with him.
