IC
No sister could resist the summons of the elders, and it was unusual for such a request to go out to ...a 'brother'. But Rishima had proven himself in the past and they trusted him. This wasn't an ordinary summons. The elders had been looking for Kerr'ba, a Sister that had gone missing during her training session with Niabi in Jauhar. In the weeks since her disappearance, the elders had sent out search parties but to no avail. Knowing that Rishima was the one who had been able to find the Fire Birds in Sauti, Eshe murmured her suggestion to the rest of the elders to use him to search for their lost Sister.

It was nearly dusk when they were able to get a hold of him and summon him to the Elders' Chambers, but it would be a heavy task that was set ahead of him.

Quest Tasks
||. This quest is to test Rishima's determination and judgement.
||. Rishima will have to travel to the shore where Ker'ba and Niabi had been ambushed by the 'bug mages'.
||. A pure blood alkidike will continuously get in Rishima's way, preventing him from doing the task he was appointed.
||. While investigating Rishima will come across a small gorilla force of Oban's who have recently....suffered a brutal attack by the bug mages. He can engage or leave the Obans and his choice will not effect the grade of his quest.
||. The outcome should be inconclusive to wither Ker'ba is alive or dead. But he should return to the elders to report his findings.

Part One: The Summons

Rishima was on his way back from some patrolling, heading back toward the village of Neued, the spot that he had been using as the starting and ending point of his various patrols due to it being where those injured in the war had fallen back to. There were still many who were in need of care, many who were vulnerable, and he wanted to keep them safe from a possible attack by those from Oban. At the moment they had no idea what the dangerous group of Fire Tribesman were planning so everyone had to be careful, cautious, and ready for whatever was coming. No matter what he was trying to prepare himself for what what waiting for him back in town wasn't something that he'd been expecting. He'd tried to ready himself for the Obans, for their monsters, for another battle against them... and instead he found a pair of his sisters waiting just outside of Neued. For what he couldn't say, but given that they paused in their chatting, pointed at him, then started toward him made him feel as though they were here for him.

Giving a smile he walked over to them, "Good evening, sisters." He greeted them, wondering what had brought them so far from the Chibale Isles, unless of course they had been a part of the battle? He couldn't say that he knew all of the various member of the tribe who had taken part in the war, they could very well have been here the whole time, but they just didn't appear as really familiar to him. A part of him wanted to say that they were too young to be going to war but he knew full well that there were many amongst the ranks on either side that he'd consider as being 'too young'. A thought that was likely influenced by the fact that Gerraden had been a part of the fighting force despite him barely having gotten his weapon and rank. A thought he quickly quashed as his sisters closed to the distance between them.

The pair paused once they reached him, their dark eyes giving him an appraising once over, as though sizing him up. He supposed that it made sense, there weren't a lot like him out there after all. As such he remained silent while they went about their inspection. The silence reigned for a moment before the one with the shorter haired pipped up, "Sister Rishima, the Elders have requested that you come with us, back to Chibale." She said, leaning in closer to him, finding a male 'sister' to be quite the sight, especially one who had a high rank amongst their people despite seeming a lot shorter then she was.

The other sister spoke up then, sounding far less interested in him and the assignment of bringing him home with them, "They have a job for you." She informed him, not wanting him to think that it was anything else but that. This was no vacation for him, nor was it a summons for him to get some sort of commendation or reward, they were putting him to work, nothing more. Her arms crossed over her chest and her antennae set to twitching.

The way that she looked at him was something that Rishima caught straight away but instead of commenting he merely nodded, "I will need a bit of time to fetch my things and let others know that I will be gone for a time." Both those who knew he was doing daily patrols of the area amongst others, "If you will excuse me, sisters, I will return as quickly as I can." Turning on his heel he hurried into the village, to the place he'd been sleeping, so that he could fetch his things. With all that was going on of late he found himself curious as to what it was that the elders wanted with him. It must be important or why else would they call for him? His antennae set to twitching rapidly as his mind raced, going through the many things that it might be that was calling him back home. Given that it could be basically anything though it left him a rather long list of possibilities by the time he'd gotten everything done and returned to his awaiting sisters.

"My thanks for waiting so patiently. Shall we be off?" He'd already slowed them down as it was and traveling from here to the Chibale Isles, better that he was prepared since he didn't know when he'd be getting back. He would put his all into whatever lay before him but as he went he found himself hoping that he'd be able to return to Gerraden once it was all over. A thought that was yet again shoved aside as he wanted to concentrate on the many dangers that lay between them and where they were going, he had to focus on the journey instead of allowing his mind to wander.

Part Two: The Task At Hand & Heading Out

Even though he'd been to the Chibale Isles many times now he still felt the same awe that he always did on the approach and upon stepping off the boat that was taken across the water to the homeland of the Alkidike. The place was breathtaking even more so when one glanced in the direction that Aisha was located. He felt a strong desire to go to the Mother Tree for a visit but he knew he didn't have the time for that. He was here for a reason after all, the Elders had summoned him, and he meant to get to them quickly. He had already taken up enough of their time by being so far away at the time of their summons. Best that he got to where they were waiting quickly so as not to make them wait further. A visit to Aisha could wait, at least until after he'd finished the task that they were going to lay out before him. What it would be though, that was the question that had been on his mind since his sisters had appeared in Neued. Since then he had spent the entire journey here wondering what it might be, even questioned his sisters, but they didn't seem to know themselves, all that was certain was that he had been summoned for a job.

Upon entering the Elders's Chambers he looked around a moment across the various faces of the Elders, spotting Eshe, before he bowed to them politely. It seemed as though this wasn't just a summons from Eshe to help her out again, it seemed more serious because she wasn't alone this time. In fact there were Elders here that he had never had the pleasure of meeting before today. It made him wonder all that much more what it was that they needed him for, and a moment later they were informing him of the situation and of his task. One of the Elders, a sister named Ker'ba, had gone missing during a training session with a younger sister named Niabi, and that despite several other attempts to find any sort of evidence that she was alive, or dead for that matter another Elder chimed in, there had been no luck yet.

There had been others sent out in search of her but none of them had found anything at all, leaving them grasping at straws for a clue of what had happened to the missing Elder. It would seem that because he had been able to find the elusive Firebirds in Sauti that they felt he might be able to have better luck. That they thought him capable of spotting something they missed was flattering, though he didn't let it show, he had to be serious at the moment after all because it was a serious situation. After they explained everything to him and what it was that he was to be doing he was given a map. It was marked with where Ker'ba and her student had been training, as well as a few other Xs and trails that showed where the other search parties had already checked thus far. He was that of course he was allowed to recheck those areas but he was also encouraged to go off the beaten path as well. He was to seek the missing Elder, figure out if she was still alive, and bring her back if she was.

Heading out of their chambers, map in hand, he found himself instantly questioning if she was alive. Wouldn't she have come back already if she were alive? Enough time had passed that she should have returned on her own, and if she were too injured to return, well, Jauhar was a dangerous place so anything might have gotten at her. Even so, if something had caught and killed her there would have been evidence left behind of that and the previous search parties should have found something, right? It really was quite the mystery, with Jauhar being as big as it was the odds of finding one person were low but he would do his best. There was always the chance that she was still out there somewhere, so he would do all that he could to find her. If she was out there somewhere she might very well be waiting for help, he just had to search for any evidence that said that was the case, follow it, and hopefully find her.

Rishima was tucking the rolled up map away into his pack for safe keeping when his antennae gave a little twitch, his back itching, telling him that someone was starring hard at him. He turned slowly to look over his shoulder, finding one of the sisters from earlier standing there. She didn't exactly seem as though she were in a good mood, did she? Then again he supposed that she was rather quiet on the way back here, likely displeased with having to work with one like him. He understood to a degree, he was really different in many ways, but at the same time he was sure he had been a ranked member of the tribe since before she was a lotus. He shouldn't let her starring and silence get to him. He watched her a moment more before he asked, "May I help you with anything, Sister?" Best to at least try to chat with her, even if she didn't seem all that happy with him.

The girl blinked a couple times, her antennae twitched, before she said, "This job is too important for you! We should have been sent to bring back Elder Ker'ba instead of being sent to find you!" She told him, eyes narrowing, antennae laying back. With that she moved to storm passed him.

That had been a lot easier then he thought it would be he found himself thinking, almost certain that she was going to pick a fight with him. He was glad that she had just barked out some angry words at him instead before moving on. That meant that he would be able to get going on his assignment instead of being dragged into a tussle that he wasn't really all that interested in. There would always be those that looked at him oddly, he was of mixed blood, and he was male, he was an oddity amongst the Alkidike, it was something he'd gotten used to. It was just a shame that she seemed so upset over not getting to help in seeking their missing elder. He might almost have brought her along with him if it weren't for the fact that she had rushed off as she had, the extra pair of eyes might have been of help to him.

He supposed in the long run it was for the best she did, he would have likely needed to ask the elders if she could tag along anyway and he'd just left them. Going back so quickly to ask about taking a helper along would likely look bad on his part. No, this was something he had to do on his own he thought to himself as he hurried to restock his supplies, got his spear looked at to make sure it was ready for whatever might be out there, and then he was on his way. Back across the water to Jauhar, he wasn't sure what the odds were of finding Elder Ker'ba after so long but he would do his best to try to find the missing woman no matter what. As he started forward he murmured, "Aisha, aid me."

Part Three: Picking a Direction & Picking up a 'Stalker'

Upon his arrival at the shore Rishima was met with a rather peaceful sort of scene. It was warm, the sound of the ocean waves coming in were rather calming, and it was empty save for Rishima himself. He rested the butt of his spear on the ground, looking from side to side, before he gave a bit of a sighing sound, "Mmm, I kind of figured." It had been some time since Niabi and Elder Ker'ba had been here, many tides had gone in and out, and if there had been any clues to find they were likely long gone by now. There wasn't much to see, but regardless of the passage of time he felt that he should at least look around, just to make sure that there was nothing to be seen.

Rishima started to move along the beach, searching for anything that might have been left behind, even the simplest thing like a bit of jewelry, a torn piece of clothing, anything that might point him in the right direction. He nudged sand aside here and there, pushed over rocks, and otherwise sought out any sort of sign. He wasn't sure what the odds were but even the smallest sign that pointed one way or another would be helpful in his search for Ker'ba. Where had she gone? Had someone taken her? Was there a chance that the Obans had taken her away? From what he had heard the soldiers of the Fire Tribe had taken prisoners so there was a chance of that, right?

What worried him though was if that were the case wouldn't that mean that the Obans were skulking around in the area? Or had she unknowingly wandered into their grasp? Surely not though, she was an elder, she wouldn't be so careless... unless of course she were injured. There was a long list of things that could have happened to Elder Ker'ba. It was a worrisome thing though, wasn't it? He was going into this knowing that he wasn't the first one to be sent out looking for her. He wasn't sure what their theories had been as far as where she went and what happened to her. Surely that meant that, since they had gotten here first, that they had searched for clues as well? There was no mention of anything being found, meaning that it was likely best that he continued forward, searching where they hadn't gone yet, right? Others had searched here before, without luck, meaning there was nothing to find on the shore.

Walking a few steps forward Rishima settled down on a smooth, warm rock, one that had a coating of dried salt on it from the ocean. Once there he dug into his pack, getting out the rolled up map that he'd been given, and opened it up. From where he was now the best direction to take was... hm, probably straight to the West. He'd explore the area in that direction, hit up spots that the other groups hadn't been yet, and see what he could see. He wasn't sure what it was exactly that could be found in that direction aside from the sea of trees that made up Jauhar, then finally the more open and empty area that was Tale. Surely she wouldn't have gone that far out of her way so he would stick with searching Jauhar he decided after sliding his finger along the surface of the map. He traced the route that he wanted to take, the one that would help him to cover the most ground that the other groups hadn't checked yet.

"Alright." He murmured, pushing himself to his feet, rolling up the map again. He'd draw his own path on the map as he went, make sure that if he didn't find Ker'ba himself that anyone else that went out looking wouldn't cover the same territory as him. He was making his way across the beach when he heard the snap of a stick not that far from him, one that caused him to jerk his head to the side, starring in that direction, before he gave a sign seeing the antennae poking up from the brush that a certain Alkidike sister was hiding in. Still there, still following him, was she so perturbed with him going doing this? He shook his head, pushing the though aside. He'd worry about it later, let her follow along if it made her feel better, but for the moment he had to get moving. The day light was burning and things only got that much more dangerous in Jauhar when the sun went down.

He couldn't let himself get hurt in this search, though now that he had a stalker this meant that he would also have to look after her. He glanced in that direction once more before he continued to walk, heading up the nearest tree to the edge of the beach. Best that he got himself a good vantage point for his search.

Part Four: A Displeased Sister

Rishima got to what he felt was an ideal height in a short amount of time, a place that was low enough down that he could still see the ground easily enough but high enough that the ground dwelling beasts wouldn't be able to get at him as easily. It wasn't long after he got there that he found himself giving pause again, able to hear the girl that was still there, following along behind him. Once could tell by sound alone that she was relatively young, she'd yet to learn an all important skill which was to move silently so as not to draw attention to ones self. It hand him lifting a hand, rubbing it against his temples, before he moved forward, around the base of a tree, and then once he was out of her line of sight he moved quickly around the tree. It gave Rishima the chance to get behind his stalker before he lifted his spear up, giving her a little nudge in the back with the but of it, "Why are you following me, Sister? If you were so concerned about me you could have asked to come along." Far from what he felt caused her to follow after him but getting a rise out of her might get her to reveal her true intentions.

Indeed it did as a moment later she was whirling around, smacking Rishima's spear aside and declared, "I won't let it happen! I won't let some little upstart halfbreed like you find her when I couldn't!" Her dark eyes went wide when she realized what she'd said before her hand snapped up to her mouth, covering it even though it was far too late to retrieve the words that had already escaped from her. The fact that she had revealed the failure to a halfbreed of all things seemed to only rile her up that much more, making her eyes go narrow. The hand on her weapon tightened and she let the other fall to her side, "I won't let you! Just because Elder Eshe seems to favor you for some strange reason!"

Giving another sigh Rishima flipped his weapon around, resting the butt of his spear against the branch that he was standing on. He starred at her for a long moment, then lifted a hand up to rub his temples. So that was it, was it? She was upset because he was searching for the elder after she'd failed to find Ker'ba? He supposed that it made sense to a degree, that she wouldn't want him to take credit for something that she had tried and failed to accomplish herself. Sighing again he lifted his gaze, starred at her, then said, "Why not come with me then? You can help me out in searching new areas, a second set of eyes would be..."

"No! I am not going to be helping you! I am going to find Elder Ker'ba myself! I don't need the help of some man! Especially a halfbreed male! You are nothing more to me then an obstacle between me and our missing Elder! Why don't you just go back to Neued!" She snapped at him taking an aggressive step toward the shorter male. Reaching out to him she grabbed hold of the front of his shirt, dragging him a few steps closer, and then lifted him up so that he was on his tip toes. She starred down at him before giving him a bit of a shake, "You aren't needed, I don't care what Elder Eshe thinks you can do! You just tricked her somehow!"

The rant continued, things he'd heard in the past, things he was used to, and really couldn't be bothered by all that much... in fact it seemed to sort of become background noise when he heard something else, the sound of distant voices crying out. His eyes went a bit wide before he broke free of his younger sister's hold, whirling around toward the sound, "What was that?" He murmured, giving the woman a glance before he said, "I am not going to argue with you about who is going to find Elder Ker'ba, it's not a personal competition! We are searching for a missing sister, someone who might very well be injured or dead. If you want to look for her then look for her, hassling me isn't getting you any closer to her." With that he was rushing forward toward where he could hear what sounded like a battle going on. It was loud, distant, and brutal if the screams were to be believed. Fearing who might be caught up in the battle he did his best to cover the distance between himself and them as quickly as he could, missing the fact that his still angry sister was following him still despite his attempts to ward her off.

Part Five: Finding some Obans

Rishima rushed along through the branches of the giant trees that covered Jauhar, trying to get toward where the battle was going on. It had started out so loud, so brutal, and now... now it seemed a bit too quiet. It were as though those who had been fighting had been silenced, something that made him almost worried about what it was that he was going to find when he finally got to his destination. Were both sides dead? That was his main worry, that there would be nothing waiting for him up ahead but bodies, something that chilled the halfbreed a bit. Jauhar was never a very hospitable place, not with all the dangerous lurking in the shadows under the trees, there was a number of things that could have gotten at... well, whoever was out here. More sisters searching for Elder Ker'ba, perhaps? He really hoped not.

He came to to a sliding halt above where the battle had been waged, squatting down on the branch so that he could take a look at what was going on below. There seemed to be so much on fire at the moment, as though a mage that specialized in fire based spelled had gone crazy in the area. Squinting his mismatched eyes he set to searching through the charred area when he saw a bit of movement, something that caused him to lean forward a little more before his eyes got rather wide, "Obans?" There were Obans down there? They had come this far already? Tightening his hands on his weapon he started to creep his way down the tree, prepared for a possible against the invading enemies... that was until he got a bit closer. Sure, he'd seen a bit of movement from above but now that he was closer in, able to really see the Obans, he realized that they weren't really doing well, were they? It seemed as though the group of them were in fact looking quite rough. Had they been battling with the Sisters? With the Shifter? With just the beasts that lived in this place?

A moment to careful inspecting later he saw it, well not it but them, there were a few bodies down there that weren't Obans, instead they were something else, something worse. What were those creatures called again, Dretch? He'd never battled them himself but he'd heard whispers about them, what they were like, what they were capable of, and now he was looking at it first hand. The blaze that had charred the area, that was likely their doing, as were the many injured and dead Obans. There wasn't all that much left of the Oban unit, those who were left appeared as though they had been injured, both by sword and by magical damage. As injured as they were they likely wouldn't last all that much longer, would they? Especially if any member of the Alkidike tribe were to come across them here... or worse, what if they were to walk into the web of one of the Menzuri? These fighters, as few as they were, strangers in this forest, and injured at that, they were dead men walking at the moment.

"Their weak, we should finish them off." Came a voice behind him, one that made Rishima want to smack a hand against his forehead. His stalker sister had arrived he thought to himself, turning to look at her, before he shook his head, "No." He looked the men over who weren't all that far from them, giving them a once over, before he gave a thoughtful sound. Why was she still following after him? Shouldn't she have gone to search for Elder Ker'ba? Wasn't that what she was so eager to do? To find the missing woman herself instead of letting him to do so? That she was still following was confusing, making him wonder if she meant to follow him the entire way despite her obvious distaste of him.

The Alkidike was currently starring at him as though he'd grown an extra antennae, her dark eyes wide, before gritting her teeth, "No?" She hissed out, "Are you meaning to protect them? Be a traitor to our elders and our people? Those monsters attacked us first, tried to invade!"

"And if they are known for taking hostages. What if they took Elder Ker'ba away with them just as they took others after the battle against their forces?" He asked of her, glancing down at where they were at the moment, taking stock of how many there were, what their wounds were like, and so on, "We should take them back wth us." He didn't want them to be killed by the various things in Jauhar that would happily take advantage of and eat the injured Obans. Enemies or not, dangerous or not, it wouldn't be right to just leave them here to suffer and die. If nothing else maybe they could trade them for their own prisoners with the Oban forces? Taking them into custody though, would his sisters see it as a prudent move? Or would they see him returning so early as just him giving up on his mission? He would only gladly return to what he had been doing, of course, continue the search for Ker'ba, but not until 'his prisoners' had been taken care of.

Blinking a couple times he turned to look over at the woman standing alongside him, giving her a thoughtful look, before he said, "We are going to take them as prisoners of war, we will see about learning from them what they are up to this far into Jauhar, learn if they know anything about Elder Ker'ba, then we will see about trading them for some of our sisters that the Obans took." He told his sister who actually looked a bit surprised by his announcement as he pushed himself to his feet, "Fetch some vines, Sister, we will need something to tie them with."

The woman gave a squawk, "What? How dare you give me orders!" Even if the plan was something that interested her she didn't seem at all pleased with what was going on, the fact that a man and a halfbreed was daring to give her, a pure breed, orders?!

Rishima stood upright, his hand tightening on his weapon as he gave her a stern sort of look, "Sister, please remember the differences in our ranks. You don't have to like me but you do have to listen to me." He told her, hating to have to pull rank, but if they were going to do this then it was something that had to be done. The look on her face said everything as she gave a sputtering sound, that was followed by a hissing sound, before she stomped off to fetch the vines for him as ordered. A wave of relief went through Rishima, he hadn't expected that would really work, but now that she was obeying him if only because she didn't want it to be known that she would ignore the order of a higher ranked sister. Rishima watched her for a moment before he started down the tree, preparing for what might end up as a skirmish against the injured Obans who he planned to save from Jauhar's grasp by taking them as his prisoners. It wasn't something he'd ever thought that he would be doing but desperate times called for desperate measures. He'd have to be careful though, he couldn't let his Sisters just slaughter them after all, not when the Obans had their uses.

Part Six: Handing Over the Prisoners

It didn't take that long for the remaining Obans to be dealt with, though Rishima knew it wasn't due to his power and skill, in fact it just seemed to be due to a mix between their exhaustion and their injuries. They didn't seem to have all that much fight left in them... but given the look of them, their age and what he'd guess was inexperience, probably added to that. They seemed to be a scouting team if he had to guess, group that was probably meant to seek out their cities to make it easier for their more powerful units to get their hands on the other races. It had been declared after all during that last battle that they only had the one chance to surrender, after that they were more likely to hunt them down. This group had more then likely gotten lost on their way to finding various settlements but it wasn't as though they would admit to it. They seemed, at the moment, not to be saying anything, likely by order of those who were in charge Rishima would bet. If he or any of his sisters were in such a situation they wouldn't speak either, so why shouldn't he expect this group to do so?

Turning to his sister, who had seen to it that the Obans were tied by their wrists with the vines she'd gathered he said, "Best that we get them back to our Sisters." There was a part of him that was a bit worried, he needed to keep up the search for sister Ker'ba after all, but the security of their people as a whole should come first and these scouts were dangerous. They were also far too close to the Chibale Isles then he cared for. Rishima had no love for the Dretch but there was a part of him that was almost glad that they were around this one time, if only because they had halted the advance of the Obans. At the same time he felt that this proved that they were in fact a rather dangerous threat, one that could even take on and take down those as dangerous as the Obans were. If the bug mages were able to wipe out a group of Obans save for a very lucky few who had survived by killing the Dretch, they might be in a bit of trouble. The fact that they were going to end up surrounded, with the Obans coming up from the South and the Dretch attacking from... well, all over. They were going to end up out numbered if they weren't careful.

"Makes me want to talk with Jerarda." He muttered to himself as he motioned to the Oban prisoners, "We will be heading back now, Sister, take the lead, I will take the rear so that I can keep a good eye on our captives." He wasn't exactly for taking prisoners, hoped that he wouldn't have to do so in the future, but for the time being it had to be done. With a bit of prodding on his part they were soon heading back toward Chibale. Not nearly enough time had passed since he'd left and he hadn't found a single thing where Elder Ker'ba was concerned. Due to this he was going to have to see about leaving these prisoners with the elders and see about heading back out once more on his assigned quest. As dangers as the Obans were as they skulked around so close to their island home it wasn't his job to go wiping them out, his job was to search for Elder Ker'ba. If it turned out that they knew something about where she might have gone, and his Sister were able to get that information out of them, then he figured a messenger was sure to be sent out to find him.

The walk back was rather tense, with the Rishima and his fellow Alkidike watching over their prisoners who were silent, not that he expected them to be cheerful over ending up in such a situation. They had been through a lot between dealing with Jauhar, the Dretch, and now being prisoners. Better then being left alone in the woods to die though, not that he said as much to them. He didn't want to rub such a thing in their faces after all. Better that he didn't act for even moment that he was doing anything merciful, not wanting his Sister to seem him as being weak. Not that he felt that mercy on an already defeated enemy should be seen as weak.

Upon seeing the beach that he had come in on, something that wasn't that far from home, he felt a bit of relief building up in him. He wanted to see about getting back, quickly if possible, before the Obans that they had with them tried to escape or something. The last bit of space between the beach and the area where the sisters crossed to the Chibale Isles was likely the tensest time yet, his chest almost aching due to his heart thudding in his chest as he hurried the group along. Only when he saw more of his sisters, all of them a bit on the surprised side, did he feel any sort of relief. When they joined him he set to explaining who the prisoners were, where he'd found them, and the reasoning behind taking them in the first place. He could only hope that he had done the right thing. He wanted the elders to understand why he would take some Obans captive, as well as why he'd had to delay his mission. After looking between his sisters he said, "These captives aren't to be killed, they could be quite useful to us. Please, try to explain it to the elders for me? I still need to continue with my search for Elder Ker'ba."

"This is still foolish, we should have kill them and continued on looking for her!" The youngest of their sisters muttered 'to herself'. The other Alkidike, as well as Rishima, all glanced her way, gave her once over, then turned back to chatting about the prisoners and what should be done with them. Nobody wanted them on the Chibale Isles near their elders of their younglings after all. As such it was decided that one of the women would head to the islands herself, to tell those in charge what had occurred. The elders would want to know what Rishima brought back after all given the significance of Oban prisoners. Once he was sure the elders had been informed then Rishima would head on his way once more, back on his mission to find Elder Ker'ba.

At this point in his quest should he continue on with his search for the Elder? Or will he be asked to do something else? I just want to see if there is anything else that the Elders want him to do/the staff might want to add before I continue on with him searching around for any clues as to where she is.

The elders are surprised to find Oban's so near where Ker'ba had gone missing, though more concerned with finding their lost sister they would be satisfied with Rishima's report and come to the conclusion Ker'ba had been lost to them. You may continue if you wish.

Rishima, as well as a few other sisters, waiting for the elders or word from them, to arrive along with the woman that had left them a short time ago. It was quiet for a moment, just the occasional murmur between the Alkidike, but it was utter silence from the Oban prisoners. Rishima couldn't really blame them, being captured likely wasn't what they were expecting when they had gone out on patrol after all. The same could be said for Rishima though, he couldn't say that he was expecting to find Obans when he was out looking for their missing Elder. It brought up a lot of questions though, as well as security concerns. The fact that the Obans were creeping this close to the Chibale Isles, the place where Aisha resided, it worried Rishima. There was a part of him that was very upset with the Obans, as well as the fact that they had gotten as far as they had. At the same time he wondered what the Obans were thinking, sending such an unprepared group into Jauhar. They weren't well prepared, they didn't know the dangerous of the place, nor did they seem to know the best way to go about moving through Jauhar. Getting captured was probably the best thing that could happen given that it meant that the men weren't dead... not all of them at least.

It wasn't much longer before the messenger returned a short time later to relay to them what the elders had said to her. It would appear as though they too were surprised over the fact that Rishima had found Oban scouts instead of finding their missing elder. They were still concerned of course about Elder Ker'ba but it would seem as though they had come to the same conclusion that Rishima had come to, that she had been lost. Be it to the Dretch, the Obans, or just the beasts of Jauhar she was no doubt dead, but the fact that not even a body could be found didn't sit well with Rishima. He would have at least liked to have brought something of her back with him even if it were only the smallest thing like a bit of jewelry or the like. Instead it were as though she had just vanished.

To the side the youngest amongst the group seemed more then a little displeased, spewing out angry words about how 'they might have given up but she wasn't going to' and yelling at Rishima for failing to even try to find her. No instead he wanted to find glory by capturing Obans instead of finding Elder Ker'ba. With that final stab at him she was stalking off, away from the group and back toward the forests of Jauhar, determined to find the missing woman on her own.

Giving a bit of a sigh Rishima said, "I might follow her for a bit, make sure that she doesn't get in over her head." While he didn't think that the girl would find anything he felt that he should probably keep an eye on her, not to mention he should do a sweep and make sure that the Obans that he'd brought back with him were the only ones to be found. The last thing that he wanted was for any other ones out there to come here in an attempt to free their captive allies. Something like that would lead to further bloodshed and he really didn't relish the idea of a bloody battle happening so close to where Aisha was growing. He'd much rather keep such affairs far from the Mother Tree to allow her care for her children instead. Giving his other sisters a glance he said, "Once I am sure she is alright and there are no other Obans in the area I will return and we can figure out what to do with our prisoners." He could only hope that he got them all he thought to himself as he headed out to do one last sweep while keeping an eye on his angry, younger sister.

His patrol lasted until evening, but without any sort of sign of any other members of the Oban army. It seemed that those that he had brought back with him, as well as those that the Dretch had killed, must have been the whole of the patrol. As such there were no Obans, close by at least, to worry about right now. He'd have to see about patrolling wider range next time around, to make sure that no more of them were able to get any closer to the Chibale Isles then they already had. He wanted to keep his people safe no matter what, even if that meant that much more patrolling. Maybe he'd see about bringing Gerraden with him next time, the younger halfbreed might be a welcome companion. More so then his younger sister at least who was currently once more searching the beach where Elder Ker'ba was last seen.

Rishima had made sure to check in on her while she searched before returning home to where he'd left his sisters watching the prisoners. She had ignored him completely, seeming to be in quite the foul mood, but at least she wasn't wandering to far from home so at least they wouldn't have to worry about her getting lost as well. She'd come home when she was ready, for now they could only hope that it was sooner then later.
