It was just like Mati to go on a stroll. Or perhaps it wasn't, but this morning felt like a good day for one. It wasn't terribly hot, despite the lingering summer heat, and the birds were singing merrily as she walked.

Either way, she would enjoy the crisp morning air and the opportunity it would give her to explore on her own. She could see some of the scouts in the far distance, suggesting she was not too far off from the borders, so she allowed herself to wander further into the lands and away from the scouts.

Perhaps she would find something interesting today. It seemed like an adventurous sort of morning, and the young lioness would take full advantage of the feeling for as long as she could.

It was an absolutely beautiful morning. The sort of morning that a lion would be sore to miss out on just from deciding to laze about in a dark, cozy den. Saba had risen at the crack of dawn when only the first beams of sunlight broke the horizon. He had gone on a good long hunt the day prior and had gone to bed early upon returning home. Good thing too, otherwise he'd miss that dawn. Gorgeous. He set out and found a good place to perch to simply watch the day begin to unfold. Saba had settled on this perch and let himself grow still, almost in a sort of meditation, simply breathing and listening.

The birds were singing, the wind was gently blowing, the heat wasn't absolutely scorching, and so far the day was shaping up to be a pretty good one.

It didn't take long for the forgetful lioness to run across another sitting upon a large stone. He looked vaguely familiar. She wondered if she had seen him before, but she definitely couldn't remember who he was.

"Ah, hello?" she greeted, unsure. She didn't want to make someone go through another introduction with her if she had met them before. Unfortunately it happened quite often. Something always knocked information out of her memory though, but maybe he could refresh hers.

She couldn't shake the feeling of being connected to him somehow, though - perhaps in an important way?

"Do I know you, sir?" she asked.

Congrats on the Mati kidlets, by the way. c: If things go swimmingly between the two of them here when the truth of their relation comes out, Saba would be quite happy to help watch the kiddos from time to time. 3nodding

A sage or a mystic he was not. Saba's early morning 'meditation' had shifted to a light doze. He was still managing to remain seated upright, but there was a subtle bobbing of his head every few minutes or so. A feminine voice called out a greeting which snapped him into full wakefulness with a sharp sniff. The dark fellow cleared his throat as he looked around to find the source of the greeting. He offered her a smile and dipped his head to her. "Good morning," He chimed warmly. "Felt like getting out and enjoying the day too, I see."

The lioness' question made him pause. He angled his head to consider her and the inquiry posed of him, giving a reflective hum as he mulled things over. She did look sort of familiar, though he was fairly certain that he had never met her before. She reminded him of someone, a lioness he met while he was a wandering rogue. With slightly narrowed eyes, he searched her face. Huh. Green eyes, those soft browns, the markings on her front legs were also ringing a bell. She didn't look quite similar enough to be a sister. Beside that, the lioness was considerably younger than Kima had been when he had encountered her. "Do you know a lioness named Kimatuli by any chance?" It might be a bit of a stretch, but there were more surprising things in the world than running into relations of those he had met.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY OMG and yes please ;;

Mati gave a nod at the lion. It was a nice day indeed, and she didn't mind enjoying it, but still, the niggling feeling at the back of her head. Perhaps she didn't know the other though, and he simply shared markings with someone else she knew!

But, the name sounded a little familiar, but she couldn't place it. Ah, she was so confused. "My memories a bit terrible for names and faces," she admitted to the male lion. Of course, it was terrible for a lot of things. She didn't know why her memory was so terrible! She certainly tried to remember things.

"Can you tell me about her?"
