It had been the strangest week for Aria. The little pup had spent the majority of her time exploring the tower. Unfortunately, after awhile, even that had begun to bore her. What good was exploring the tower if she'd already seen it all anyway?

She'd poked her nose into daddy-Bass' room, but he'd seemed otherwise occupied. Mainly in the "why does daddy missing an arm?" kind of way. Figuring he needed to be alone with that, though, she'd plodded her little butt off and away, heading to find daddy-Proto instead.

After a long search, she'd still not found him. This was upsetting for the little pup, seeing that she wanted to spend some time with one of her dads, at the very least. She had a lot of questions she wanted answered, and she didn't really care for asking Wily.

Wily kind of freaked her out after she'd been picked up by him and yanked on his moustache. Apparently he didn't appreciate how funny it looked! It'd just been there, dangling off his face after all!

Eventually she found herself in the elevator. Pushing herself up onto her back feet, she stretched a paw far above her head and gave a solid smack to the main floor button. It had a pretty star next to it! It was her favourite button! Usually she wasn't allowed to press it though, since the main floor had the main entrance doors.

Seeing that daddy-Bass was preoccupied, though, and daddy-Proto was missing, it was an opportune time to check that area out. Especially since Proto may be down there. Dropping back to all fours, the pup waggled her tail behind her, the little puff of a body practically vibrating from excitement.

"DING!" she cried out when the elevator buzzed, doors opening on the main level. Jumping out, her head moved about on a swivel, taking in the main lobby. Quickly, she began to dart around, calling for Proto. This went on for a bit, but he never responded.

"Hmm..." the pup pondered, sitting on her hind. Her eyes turned to glance at the large doors that exited the building. Maybe he was outside then! She'd never been outside...

No time like the present! Without a second thought, the pup was taking off like a torrent, barreling out the door before someone could see or stop her. She got a fair pace away before she took the time to stop and look around.

This?

This was not what she'd really imagined the outside to look like. Her tail dropped a bit, ears as well, but instead of turning around, she continued to push forward, calling out for Proto again.

He had to be out here somewhere... didn't he?

Out here somewhere? Perhaps. But not here, not near the Tower. Someone else was around though. Someone who knew full well just -where- General Proto was located.

"Little one, why are you calling out for Proto?"
He said it as civil as he could imagine. Though he -hated- Proto. With a passion. He was rather interested in just -what- this little pup was doing.

"It is rather unusual for one so small to be calling out for the General of an army. I don't want to see you get hurt..."
A figure stepped out of a side street, moving to be near the pup but not actually block her path. He didn't want to frighten her.

...Not yet at least.

Aria's head whipped around when the unfamiliar voice caught her ear. Her little chin lifted so she could look up to see who it was. Maybe it was one of the other robot masters! While she hadn't really met any of them, she'd seen a few wandering around the tower. They all had such cool armour.

Unfortunately, the setting sun was behind the figure, and she had to squint. It shadowed the individual enough that she couldn't make out any features, but they seemed friendly enough. Maybe they knew where Proto was!

"I'm looking for him cuz he's my daddy." she offered.

"Do you know where he is?" her tail wagged hopefully and she took a few tentative steps towards the individual. He definitely knew who daddy-Proto was so this was a good start!

Leaving the tower was clearly the best decision she'd made.

...Okay wait what?

This little pup just said Proto was her dad. Proto was a ROBOT. Robots didn't reproduce. Exactly -how- could this little one be related to him? Flashover was confused, but not showing it outwardly. No, instead he continued to keep up his friendly persona. If this one -was- related to Proto she could prove quite a useful piece in this plan of his.

It was still an extremely weird thought. Psh, robots with families. Bots didn't have feelings, no way they could raise a family...

"In fact I do. I could take you to him, if you'd like. What is your name?"
The cloaked Audio knelt a bit to smile at her. He could -look- friendly. ....When he wanted to.

He did know daddy-Proto! That was great! The pup became visibly excited and practically bounced over to the smiling audio. Her tail waggled feverishly behind her as she found herself right up in front of the cloaked audio, giving an enthusiastic little bark.

"That'd be awesome! Thank you so much! Daddy-Bass couldn't really help, an' I didn't see anyone else... my name's Aria!" she chirped.

"What's your name?" her eyes turned to look at his cloak as she spoke, reaching a paw out to lightly press at it. It was neat looking, and she had to touch it.

"I like your cloak." she added quickly before he could answer her. "It has pretty colours."

Flashover restrained himself from snarling at the annoying little blob of fur. No, he needed this kid. She was going to be prove -extremely- useful. Especially how she just. kept. rambling.

Daddy...Bass though? For one, Bass was offlined. For another...ew. He wasn't sure he wanted to try and work out how bots would make...little bots...and he really didn't want to think of the two Generals together. Though with how pissed off they got about each other being hurt...

Well maybe it made sense.

....Still. Ew.

"Well, thank you Aria. It's quite a useful cloak. As far as my name...you can call me Burnout. Or just Burn. Whichever is easier for you."

Ah no, he wasn't stupid enough to give out his real name so quickly. Surely she had been warned? Burnout was damn near the opposite of his usual name. Flashover was a dangerous term, and all consuming fire that obliterated everything... Burnout? Well that meant the danger had passed. It would do as a code name.

He stood once more, turning to lead her away from the area.

"You're welcome!" she paused, tilting her head at his name. Nope! Didn't recognize that one! Instead she just grinned and nodded.

"Buuuuuurnout." she repeated slowly, putting it to memory.

"Thank you mister Burnout." she offered as she plodded along next to him. "Is daddy Proto working? He's been really busy lately." she continued on.

"Mostly since daddy-Bass got hurt, anyway." she hadn't seen much of either father since the incident happened. She really wished she knew what was going on, but no one wanted to talk about it.

Ah well, she'd just get Proto with the questions when Burnout took her too him. Hopefully he'd be able to tell her.

"It's not far from here, is it?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 25, 2014 11:23 am

There they went again with that hurt business. Bass wasn't -hurt-. He was dead. Seriously people, no one could have survived what he put Bass through.

No. One.

"Yes, he's been working. Your father is a hard worker."
Or something. Flashover really didn't think the bot did anything -but- terrorize citizens. Currently though he was working extremely hard...for Flashover at least. Ha.

"It's not too far, don't worry."

As they passed by one of the City's many alleys, a brightly colored head poked itself out of a dumpster. Fox was likely going to yell at him for rooting through trash, but the BESTEST BEST things were often found in dumpsters! He had found quite a few treasures today. Like this sturdy piece of rope! And a knife! It wasn't even dull or anything! Yes, treasures. But at the moment Raider was quite interested in the pair that walked by.

...Hrmmmm.

Likely should report that back to Fox...

Really, one would think with the insistence that someone was simply hurt, that perhaps, being a robot, he'd been partially rebuilt at least. That was neither here nor there, however, and Aria wasn't aware of the things floating through Flashover... rather, Burnout's mind.

"I know he is. Always always busy." she nodded. She seemed proud of that fact, honestly. Both her daddy's were important, and they did good things, as far as she knew. They helped protect the city, after all!

"That's good!" bounding along next to him, Aria did her best to keep up with the adult's longer strides. A few times she toppled over herself, but she always rolled back up onto her paws and continued along.

"This place is crazy." she announced out of nowhere, after a bit. She'd never really noticed the movement of the other audio as they went along. Likely a good thing as she probably would have commented on it.

Excuse you, clearly the problem was that none of these people trusted what their Hero said and simply had to see it for themselves. This was unfortunate as Bass' body had likely been -melted away- by the fire. No body to prove it.

But they should simply trust him. Bass was dead.

"This place is...special. Yes, I believe that's a good word for it. It holds a much higher potential of course, it just needs someone to guide it in the correct direction."

Such as himself.

He was keeping an eye out as they walked along, not really sticking to any of the major roads. No, back routes it was, winding and twisting all the way back to his safe house. Honestly it was too late for the little one to escape -anyway-. That had been decided the second she chose to bound up to this particular Audio.

"Po-ten-tial?" she tilted her head. She didn't understand that word. Though she got the gist of what he was saying as they continued to walk along.

"Isn't that what my daddies are doing?" she blinked, a little confused. Wily made stuff to fix the city, and her daddies helped make that stuff happen.

That's how she understood it, at the very least.

This was confusing and led to more questions in her head. There were a lot of them floating around up there. Really she just wanted to plaster them out there and hope Burnout could answer them, but she figured it was better to wait it out.

She had no idea what was coming her way.

"...I suppose in a sense they are."
Proto was certainly going to play his part in this grand scheme. Willing or not.

Without another word, Flashover scooped up the little pup (ugh was she made out of metal too?! heavy, for how little she was) and went off inside his base.

"WHOA!" the pup yelped as she was suddenly scooped up. For the first few moments, it was pretty awesome! Like flying through the air! Man she had to get daddy Proto to swing her around like this later. It'd be awesome!

It took a little bit for her to realize what was going on, however, as 'Burnout' took her into another building. The pup began to squirm and wriggle her heavy metal butt around.

"HEY! NO! LET ME GO!" she squawked loudly.

"DADDY!" crying out she continued to flail about, desperately wanting down. Unfortunately, as she well knew, he wasn't there. So there was no answer.

Yes. Awesome. What was awesome about this was that he had taken one more threat off the street. And perhaps with a bit of time he could turn her to their side....

Yes, that would be -great-.

"Ash!"
Flashover looked around for his assistant, while keeping a hold of the struggling pup.
"Need your help! Got one poor confused little pup here..."

"No! Daddy! I want daddy!" the little pup continued to flail, sobbing a little as she did. She didn't want to stay here anymore! Burnout wasn't a nice person!

"Flashover?" Ash came around a corner, a questioning look on her face. It was quickly dismissed as she heard and saw the struggling pup in his arms. Oh no, another little one that'd likely been lost in the rubble.

...

Wait was she calling for her dad?

"What's going on?" she came over and put her arms out for the new pup, like she would with any others he brought back scared. Despite her concerns, she still trusted that whatever had happened, Flashover had the best intentions for the pups he found.

"Shh, little one, it's alright..." her voice was soft as she spoke, trying to get the pup to calm down a bit.

Aria was now face to face with another audio. She whimpered a bit, and shook her head when Ash put out her arms.

"No, I want daddy..." the words were followed by tears (don't ask how robots can cry, it's not worth the headache in questioning) as she began to shake. Daddy wasn't going to be here, and now she was away from her sisters and other daddy too...

"I wanna go hoooooome..."
