I mean, the kind of service where we "give" exp to others by letting them craft it.
I've had over 50 formulas crafted by others now... But recently some of the turnaround time for getting the items back is starting to worry me emotion_bigvein
I don't know why but I'm always so afraid of people running off with the components sweatdrop
Can someone tell me that it won't happen and that people on Gaia are nice and honest emotion_sweatdrop

If I was giving components to others to craft and I was as paranoid, I'd ask for some item of theirs in exchange if I didn't particularly trust that person. "I'll hold onto this for you until you send me my component back."
However, there are quite a few trustworthy people in this guild. 3nodding

I mean I've definitely asked for collateral in real life... But maybe not with things on Gaia sweatdrop I'm paranoid, but if I knew someone wasn't going to return things, I may just say "ah... well... can't change the past".

I'm actually asking people to craft a lot of things. If you are, I'll be sure to come to you first with Level 7's (I'm also only crafting non-components so nothing is hardly ever Very Low).

I would be paranoid too. That is why I craft for others instead of them crafting for me. The only people I will ask to craft for me is you and other particular people I can trust.

After running my Alchemy Outsourced thread for so long (I think we've completed 4 projects by now?), I can say that I'm definitely stressed by it. Just the setting up process takes me days, even excluding the time spent opening caches. I have to sift through an incredible amount of resources to count up how many formulas I need to buy and then code the thread layout. And then afterwards, I'd have to constantly update the front page so that I can keep track of what formulas I have left to craft.
I haven't been very paranoid about losing components yet just because most people have been really good with the crafting times. I usually get the components traded back to me within 12 hours, sometimes less. There was one case where I sent off some level 2 formulas to be crafted, and the girl didn't get back to me until almost a week later. I was a bit nervous about it, but it was just some Hexed Leathers so I could easily crack open more caches if necessary. I PM'd her about it, and it turns out she just had a really hard time getting it to work 'cause it kept fizzling on her.
This was all a long time ago, though. I crafted the Michael's Wings all by myself 'cause I was working with a client, and I felt bad making her wait much longer since it took me like 2 months to open up all the caches. I haven't worked with any of these newer Alchemists who came around from the influx of Philosopher's Caches in the Dumpster. I hope I'm not being rude when I say this, but I honestly don't trust half of them with my components. Maybe I'm just too paranoid, but I can never do what Checkmate does and offer to pay the full crafting costs too. It's just too easy for someone to keep the extra gold, or worse, continuously asking me for gold while pretending to fail the craft attempt...
I've given some serious thought into closing down my Outsource thread, or just limiting it to guild members.
EDIT: I just realize that you've been asking people to craft with non-cache components. Oh gawd, you are a brave soul. O_o Some of those components are multi-million gold investments, and I personally would never send them off to be crafted. Technically, I can absorb the gold cost of losing those components, but they are so rare that I can't afford the opportunity cost. I strongly recommend clearly labeling the trade and taking a screencap whenever it's completed. That way, if someone does run off with your components (God forbid), you still have evidence when you need to file a report.

Updating and planning are the hardest parts... It just takes up so much time without you realizing it! Much like opening caches, for me to look on the MP for 100+ components necessary to craft all the items... At some points I just feel like giving up XD; Initially, I didn't realize what you're referring to when you said the newcomers were off-putting... But today I saw a great example. In someone's "I leveled up to 10" thread, another person asked them for formulas to craft so they could get exp... Seriously? That's not only rude but totally not the right place to ask. Certain Level 1's take about 1 billion in components each >.<; Yeah I have been very crazy paranoid at times XD I'm wondering if I should just craft it myself and take a screenshot. I mean.... I probably should... I just really liked the idea of helping people level up ^^' So the one thing I am doing is that rather than set up a service, I'm the one that approaches others... So I feel a little better about their credibility. The situation that actually prompted me to make this post was a girl who had my components for almost a week. As it turns out, she had just traded it to someone else, and as soon as I nudged her about it, she checked trades history, got it back from the person she gave it to, and traded it to me. So she was honest! But it scared me XD;

It's not the right place for that kind of thing, and it's really toeing the line for begging behavior. It's like they're constantly testing my tolerance for pet peeves. >< While I was leveling up myself, I used to approach others about crafting for me too. That way, I can choose people who specifically needed those levels. And I guess I can be pickier about whom to work with since I don't have to blatantly reject anyone. xP And yiiiikes! That is really scary. O_o I'm glad you got the items back, though! It was really lucky that the person she traded them to was willing to return them. That would've given me enough reasons to stop offering exp bundles. >.>;
