Forgotten Sam rolls, yay!
Edit:: And it looks like Sulu rolled for better wins than Sam did, anyway. I think her first 4 dice count as Mage Mara wins, and then we can use Sam's last dice to count as a Rock Mara win. Also for a title... You can just call it 'Family Outing' or something like that. XP

Suluksati had, after her encounter with the rock beast, decided to leave sleeping stones lie and go after the hunters again. She'd traced them through the mountains and, finally, had tracked them down. They had lost more members, and clearly had had a hard time of travelling, but they had nearly made it to the forests of the expanse.
She'd started following them again, dogging their steps and ready to spoil their hunts wherever possible. But they encountered no dragons, and when they reached the shores of the expanse, met by a boat, they requested, haggard and tired, to be taken back to Serenia.
She sat back on her haunches and watched them leave, somewhat surprised as they drifted away in the current. They had given up.
She felt freed for the first time in a long time, free of obligations and of her great quest, at least for a time. It had been weeks since the encounter, but the stone beast came back to her mind. What was it? Why had it attacked her?
Would it attack others as well?
She took wing back to the desert, flying on the cool winds of the mountains, when a glint below her caught her attention. It was bright, polished, and metallic and, as she wheeled overhead for a closer look, she realized it was a creature of metal, wearing some sort of cloth garb.
It made her think of the stone beast, and, intrigued, she swooped in for a closer look.

Keke bounded forward in front of his father, fearless and enthusiastic as ever, chirping happily at his sister to come along and hurry up. They were on an outing, and the little orakoi loved outings! So many new things to sniff and nudge and stare at and turn over! Once, he'd found little things under a rock! How did they get under there? He didn't know!
But he wanted to!
Kekeovonnai had no idea what sort of outing this was - his baby grasp of dragonic didn't extend that far, though he was doing well in learning it. Very well. He had a large vocabulary... just not enough to say what he felt.
And, just this moment, he was too excited at all the NEW THINGS to use it. He stood on his hindlegs and waited for his daddy and sister to catch up, chirping happily at them and wiggling. Hurry up! Hurry hurry! Or they would miss all the things!161/500

DraconicFeline I don’t think we can face a Metal Mara and win. Sulu’s die wasn’t enough for her to win against one, and Sam’s die wasn’t enough for him to win against one, since LUKs aren’t combined for this. And then Sulu has 31 LUK, so she apparently doesn’t get the same amount of EXP for this fight. >.< Robo made this painfully complicated... ”Stay together,” Sam called as his two tiny Orakoi scampered ahead. Zarri pranced from under his claws, bouncing toward her brother by kicking all four feet off the ground and spraying sand in her wake. She held her tail high and her wings aloft as she tried not to smother herself with grit while still keeping up to Keke. It wasn’t going too well. ”And stay where I can see you!” Despite Sam’s warnings, they darted forward eagerly, while their Gaili father lingered behind, surveying the area with a predator’s eye for anything that may try to draw too near to his young. He plodded slowly through the footprints they left in the sand, tail swaying gently as he smiled fondly after his children.
Oblivion had departed early that morning, off to find Razes so he could attempt the same Ritual Sam had undergone to become a Khehorian. Levi wasn’t weak, but he was painfully overconfident, haughty, felt entitled to everything, and seemed to have no reservations about something that could kill him and leave Sam alone with two youngsters. Two youngsters who needed their daddy.
He’d already spent several hours thinking about it and staring at the two little bundles while they slept, all tumbled together and curled about each other. By this point in the day, Sam’s nerves may just as well be jelly. So rather than spend the rest of the day pacing and waiting for Levi’s return, he’d decided to take his two youngsters out into the world. Perhaps they’d get some sun, find a bite to eat, maybe splash in the shallows of a stream for a while. Anything beat staying in his cave and worrying himself to death.
Zarri just barely managed to pounce into Keke’s zone, close enough to swat the tip of his tail with her claws before he was out of reach again. She chirped at him in annoyance, peeping at him to slow down and not leave her behind. She needed time to traverse these dirty lands without becoming filthy! Getting her feathers covered in sand was uncomfortable and itchy and it scratched at her still-delicate Orakoi skin! She then turned a demanding glower on Sam, ushering him to catch up to Kekeovonnai and keep him from getting so far away!
But the older Gaili had paused, his head raised, his limbs tight, one foreclaw lifted from the ground. Off in the distance, beyond his children’s antics, there was a form fluttering to the ground. It was too small to be a dragon, and yet he had no way of knowing if it was friendly or not. If he was on his own, maybe he would’ve inspected it, but with his young ones with him… ”Keke,” Sam shouted, suddenly alarmed that he’d let the boy get too far ahead. ”Come back!”

Keke peeped back at his sister playfully, pausing briefly to wiggle gleefully at her. He tried to wait, really he did, but he couldn't help it! He was just so excited! All the scratches and scrapes and batterings were worth it for whatever was just over the next hill or behind the next rock.
Unable to contain himself, he bounded to the next rock, clambering up it with the confidence of a Gaili in his element, fluttering his little wings as he climbed, staring eagerly over the edge at the continuation of the stones and rocks beyond.
He turned around, chirping at his father questioningly. "Papa?" he managed, in his baby draconic, not sure what was going on. Daddy had said his name. What did daddy want?
Keke turned back to the scene in front of him, scrutinizing it with a comedic air of infantile study. There was a funny thing approaching, a big thing that smelled of stone and magic. Keke made a long, curious cheep, and squinted.
It glowed.
That settled it.
Peeping eagerly, Kekeovonnai jumped off the rock and ran headlong towards the stone creature with the glowing magical orb for legs, unaware of the danger he was in...

It was definitely strange, this creature, and Suluksati didn't like it. So focused was she on it, that she almost didn't hear, as she prepared to do something about it, the cheeping cries.
Finally, they broke through her concentration, and she looked to the side to see a small, black, shape running towards the creature, its tongue lolling out as it cheeped delightedly.
It was an Orakoi. An adorable and innocent creature.
The rock abomination she had encountered before had attacked her for no reason. There was every likelihood that it would attack the child for no reason as well.
Suluksati could not let that happen. She had to do something.
Now.
Suluksati let loose a mighty roar, hoping to distract the creature and, indeed, it looked up at her, its eyes glowing with magic. It made a sound like stone windchimes, loud and piercing through the mountainous land and, before it could do anything more, Suluksati dove at it, slamming it with her shoulder and pushing it aside - and away - from the inquisitive young khehora. Sam groaned in frustration as his son bounded off, despite the older Gaili's pleas for him to return. He shouldn't be surprised, but for some reason, he was. Had he fled off into the unknown like that when he'd been Keke's age? It was no wonder his mother was so obsessive. ”Wait,” Samael shouted, kicking from the earth and fanning his wings. he could easily overtake the boy. No Orakoi could out-speed him, surely. But if he carelessly darted ahead, Zarri would be left behind. And that was just as dangerous. Even more so, since she'd be behind him and out of sight. With a warning rumble, Sam dipped toward the ground, his wings still beating toward Kekeovonnai as he tucked his head toward the earth and scooped Zarri's entire torso up in his jaws.
At first Zarri shrieked in shock and terror. Teeth pinched into her scales and the ground lifted away as Sam fluttered higher again, now pelting at full speed. With an indignant huff, the tiny Diabi coiled her tail around Sam's lower jaw. Her wings tucked as best as she could, suddenly fearful that Daddy's brash actions would tear the very delicate membranes. And then, as suddenly as it started, it stopped, and she careened the two feet to the ground, landing scant inches before her brother. She chirped at him in annoyance, knowing that all of this ruffling was his fault for leaving her behind.
Sam recognized Sulu before he reached her and the strange creature she battled. She was hardly a threat; not the type to attack Khehora children, for sure. But teh thing that had caught Keke's attention... Sam had never seen anything like it before. But it was fighting Sulu and it had some form of magic and it had to be stopped. With a loud, deep roar that left Zarri shivering, Sam dove down on it, crashing into it with the loud scrape of claws on stone. Earth... It was literally made of earth. All Sam had to do was use his own magic to dismantle and crush it. Grind it to dust until nothing was left to threaten him or his kids.

Suluksati sensed the approaching khehora before she was aware of it, dodging aside in an impressive barrel roll as the brown khehora slammed into the mara.
She managed to regain her bearings and land protectively near the child - children, summoning a bubble of protective light energy around the orakoi as she arched her wings protectively around them.
And then she recognized the other khehora. "Samael?!" she said, surprised. She hadn't expected to see him again.
Then again...
She never expected to see anybody again, just in general.

Kekeovonnai had never heard a roar that loud in his life. It stopped him in his tracks, pushing him to his rump with the sheer force of it, and he blinked in surprise at the shining white shape that swooped down.
Suddenly confused and a little frightened, he frantically tried to right himself, only managing to slip on the smooth stone of the path and land on his side.
As his father crashed into the mara, Keke decided he had had enough. HE began to keen, nuzzling at his sister for comfort as he, with the akwardness of his lean, growing body, struggled to right himself.
He was scared. And that was new. And he didn't like it.(481/500)

Zarri growled as something large and blindingly white dove near her and her brother. She scrambled to press her flank to Keke's before turning and baring her fangs at this strange feathered monster. It almost could've been... Daddy, if it wasn't so painful to look at. Whatever it was, it was preparing some attack! Some shimmering attack that must be scaring the brave right out of her brother. Keke wasn't stupid, so he knew when they were in danger! Vazarri pressed near to him and growled as the creatures large feathered wings arched over them. Pappy was still here, though. Pappy would save them! She chirped, squeaking out to draw the Gaili's attention to the two youngsters huddled together.
After the mysteriously offensive rock had been dismantled, Sam turned his emerald gaze onto the Khehora woman perched protectively near his young. ”Sulu,” he rumbled out, before padding over to her.
As soon as he was within leaping distance, Zarri pounced from under the shadow of the Aedaun's wings and landed before her father's claws. She turned and hissed vehemently at Suluksati, baring her fangs and lashing her tail. Hopefully Keke would see an opening and join her-
She shrieked in shock as a claws came out to scoop her away. Sam nudged the young Diabi behind himself with a tiny frown. ”That's enough, Vazarri,” he chided. ”Sulu is a friend, and that's no way to behave to a friend.” He turned green orbs up to the Alihora before casting a glance over his shoulder to the pile of rubble. ”That thing... Do you know what it is?”
