Just a few short years ago, the vain and flighty heart of Cashiss had been won by a dashing cream and blue stallion named Odysseus. He was a scion of the Dreamer's Glass herd--quiet, spiritual, knowledgeable, and overcome by her infatuation with him, Cashiss had given up the life solitary and joined his herd. Dreamer's Glass. It was a very spiritual place. Cashiss had never quite felt like she belonged, but with Odysseus there, she didn't care.
But their daughters and son had vanished to the four winds; she occasionally saw Telemash--she'd met his quite charming mate and his children--but he didn't live with the herd anymore. He'd left a long time ago. And Odysseus, he was...he was gone. That broke Cashiss's heart right in half. The singer tried as hard as she could to remain interested in the herd with him gone, kept up a happy face and still sang to entertain. She still participated, but her heart wasn't in it anymore.
Cashiss leaned up against a tree in a moment of loneliness. She sighed and stared up at the sky. Why did the world have to be so cruel? To take people away from her? She had no friends here, no reason to stay. It was time to face the sad facts--it might just be time to leave.

There were so few Arion in Dreamer's glass which was mostly only filled up with family now. a few members had vanished along with the majority of moonlight. Moonlight had more Arion or maybe about the same, now, they had more at one point but. Titanius gave a gentle sigh. His reserch was slow enough as it was, he couldn't find any of the arion from either herd. Arion were a fantastic breed and he wanted to know more about them, he'd more frequently seen the monarch wings. He'd heard there were others but.. he wanted to see them, and see their differences. Titanius had always been fascinated by Arion. he himself was an Arcturus and skilled in healing magic like much of his family, and quite handsome to say the least. At least he thought so, Titanius was very proud of his looks, he was always careful not a hair would be out of place.
Never know when you might meet someone just as gorgeous as he. Speaking of there was a gorgeous set of wings ahead, Titanius went straight for them "you have Lovely wings!" Titanius did tend to get a one track mind when it came to Arion.

There was another star behind her, but before Cashiss could register more than that, the stranger called out to her. Cashiss turned around and smiled. The stranger--well, for one thing, he was less of a stranger than she had at first thought. She recognized him, she thought--he was another member of the herd, and she felt sure that she had seen him before. Perhaps he had shown up to hear her sing? Or perhaps they had met at some festival. If they had met, then she simply could not remember his name, at least not at the moment.
No, she couldn't have met him properly before--only in passing. She would have known if she'd met him before, for he was...well, he was quite good-looking. He was a pale stallion, one whose accents were mostly all pale like the rest of him. Those dark blue fetlocks were a little unfortunate, but they reminded her of her grandchildren--hm. Perhaps a little dark as an accent to light wasn't all that bad, right?
He'd called out to her about her wings. He didn't seem to have much social graces, but never mind that--she had enough for both of them. "Thank you," she said. She fluttered them, just to show off. "Your mane is magnificent," she added. It truly was--not a single hair was out of place, it was all combed and beautifully coiffed. He was, if nothing else, a stallion who took pride in his appearance. "My name is Cashiss, and I feel certain that I have met you before."

Titanius couldn't help himself but preen. His mane was indeed Magnificent he made it so, his coat was equally spotless. At least his brother Aridrif wasn't here to throw leaves into his magnificent mane. That was a saving grace certainly thank the signs
"They are truly magnificent." he breathed as she fluttered her wings. What he said was true though, he hadn't seen such a magnificent pair of wings before. "My manners, atrocious," He berated himself this mare was a true lady unlike his rather rough and tumble brother, he should treat her as such, "My humblest of apologies Magnificent one, I let myself get carried away." He gave the lady gracious bow. He'd seen the mare before though perhaps at family gatherings, he was his cousin's mate or something? before his cousin vanished.
"I am Titanius, Son of Cygnus and Mia eldest born,"

Well, the stallion had every right to preen--his coat was pure white like fresh snow. It was hard to keep pale hair clean (believe Cashiss, she should know!), but he managed to do that in a forest. That was very admirable. It showed not only personal pride, but also dedication and conscientiousness. Clearly a stallion who know what he was doing.
She shook her own silver mane out. Bother, the bottom was uncombed! Not very much. Possibly even not noticeable. But embarrassing nonetheless, because in spite of his impulsive greeting, it seemed that she was in the presence of a proper gentleman! No matter what his heritage might (or might not have) been, she could tell a gentleman when she met one, and this stallion clearly was one. She smiled at him, wings gently fluttering (it was a little chilly, and fluttering her wings kept them warm).
"It is a pleasure beyond description to meet you, Titanius," she said. It seems her instinct had been correct--Cygnus she recognized as the name of one of the princes, and she'd heard Titanius's name before--he was one of the noble lords of the herd. And here she was, a mere artisan! Well, fair enough, she had been mated to one of his cousins, but still. Odysseus was...
Anyway.
"Truly a pleasure," she added. "And it is quite alright that you got carried away. It can be hard to control oneself in the presence of... Well," she said lamely. "Sometimes one says something that one regrets. And my appreciation of your complement is entirely sincere." She felt like she was botching this conversation right up, but he probably felt the same way, by the things he was saying. If he was embarrassing himself, she took it as a good sign that she, too, was embarrassing herself.
A good sign for what, she wasn't sure. Surely she wasn't...? Ah, no. Probably not a good idea. Even for a handsome one like this one. Probably not appropriate.
