Bio: Logan was born in Canada on Earth 22 years before the Fall of Reach. He lived the majority of his life on Luna with his grandparents due to his parents both actively serving in the UNSC. His mother died when he was still a child when her ship was destroyed by the Covenant. After this event his father retired from the Marines and moved back to Earth to raise his daughters and son. With his father's consent Logan enlisted within the Marines. Logan participated in multiple campaigns against both rebels and the Covenant, primarily filling the role of a door breacher. At the rank of Lance Corporal Logan, at 19 years old, began schooling and took his commission to become an officer.
Shortly after become an officer Logan passed selection to begin ODST training. His body and mind were both put through extreme hardship but he came through it a better marine. Logan's first combat drop was on an outer rim world. It was on this operation that he received his nickname "Gravedigger". Logan's pod slammed into the ground and buried itself too deep for the hatch to open. In any normal circumstance this would have meant his death. Luckily his platoon sergeant was able to dig him out far enough for Logan to blast the hatch on his pod.
Logan was promoted to Captain shortly before participating in the battle of reach. Despite the best efforts of humanity, however, the planet was lost and humanity was forced to retreat as the Covenant glassed the planet. As part of ONI Logan ran ops alongside Spartans and despite the history between the ODSTs and Spartans became rather close with a number of them. Their deaths weigh heavily on his conscience. After Reach Logan was sent back to Earth to bolster defenses of the planet.
