He awoke in darkness so complete and profound he wasn't sure he was awake at all. Confused, he stumbled, cried out, and surprisingly enough, his cries were answered. A light, a glowing white orb, twinkled into existence far above, descending to hover over his nose, just out of reach. There it hovered for but a moment, before dancing away.
Without a second thought, he gave chase.
