The time it took to travel was only mere seconds. Lucy and Elendil appeared in the heart of the city, a prime location. It was busy, and it took her a half second to see the car barreling toward them. Pushing the prince in front of her, she managed to get them onto the curb, only suffering from the noise of honking from the angry driver. Catching her breath, she let out a laugh, surprisingly okay with the rush of adrenaline she had received. "Are you okay?" she asked after a moment, knowing that some people suffered nausea from teleporting and wanted to know if their brush with death had startled him. After ensuring that he would be alright, she took a few steps toward a window, squinting her eyes a bit at the writing. "We're in Taiwan." she said aloud once she had recognized the language, her face lighting up with excitement as she tucked her teleporter into her small clutch bag. She looked around curiously, glad that they had not ended up in some desert or empty island, but the risk had paid off. The random passerbys looked different from her homeland, and they were eyeing the two companions with mild suspicion. Lucianna wasn't surprised, they were ridiculously overdressed for just walking around a city and she would probably have stared at herself too. Grabbing hold of Elendil's hand, she tugged him toward the nearest shop. "Let's ditch these outfits and get something more suitable."

Elendil had never been too far away from the Veil, let alone outside the monster world. After avoiding being hit by a car the man right away covered his long pointed ears. He was a monster and not human. He couldn't hide his ears. "My ears." He commented. He wondered if Taiwan even had a zone for monsters, it was such a new area that it probably didn't.

Looking over to Elendil's ears as he mentioned them, she smiled faintly, her tone light as she shrugged it off. Lucy had never needed to worry about discovery; the only place she had ever lived in with humans was Janhall, where everyone mingled without fear. "You worry too much." she told him, still tugging him along. Once they were just outside of a shop, she paused to study his hair. It was a few seconds before she continued on, honestly hoping that he wouldn't feel too self-conscious over his ears. "Nobody will even see them if you undo the braid." She smiled lightly, switching over to elvish as she spoke again. "Hiding is not necessary. Humans have heard rumors of us." Assuming that this strange city had no hunters, she would enjoy their time here. After all, they had only one day. Flashing a smile, she opened the door to the clothing store, her demeanor that of a tourist as they were greeted by the apparent owner. There was skepticism at first, but when Lucianna returned to the greeting in near flawless Taiwanese, the owner appeared to relax and allow them to browse the rows of clothing.

Elendil regretted every moment of walking. He grabbed his ears again. Sure people stared, but at least they probably thought of him as weird over a magical creature. He didn't know much about Asian culture, he had only been taught in the arts of the elves and had been raised as such. "What are you doing?"

Looking up as Elendil asked his question, she motioned to the clothes around them as she answered. "You wanted to blend in. We'll need outfits like the humans around here wear." Dressed as they were, her in a bridesmaid gown and him in traditional clothes for his people, they stood out immensely. It also seemed as if he was refusing to undo his braid, as he made no motion to take her advice so she was willing to do what she could. Turning away from him, but still holding his hand, Lucy pulled him deeper into the store, pausing at the section for men. With no clue as to Elendil's size or how the sizing system worked in Taiwan, she took a guess at what would fit the elf. After several minutes, she handed him a simple pair of jeans and a casual button up, solid red in color. "Try these." she said, pushing him lightly toward a changing room. She had managed to snag an outfit for herself, so she moved to change into it quickly as well. They would need to pay, of course, but with limited funds during their "runaway" scheme, she would need to spend what was in her wallet wisely.

Elendil was so paranoid that his father would pop up somewhere and scold him for being dressed as something other than a prince. He took the clothes that Lucy gave him and went into the dressing room. He dressed quickly. The waist of the pants fit, but weren't tall enough for him and went above his ankles. The man stepped out with his elvish boots.

After her own quick change, Lucianna stepped out of the stall, nearly shocked by how tight her pants looked on her. It was like something Yvette would wear, which only meant that her father would certaintky disapprove. Stifling a laugh, she turned slightly in the mirror, admiring how nicely the outfit complimented her shape as she enjoyed this small act of rebellion. Seeing Elendil return, she looked him over, nodding slowly. Swiftly, she leaned over to check the length of his pants, but any worry she had vanished because his boots his the flaw well. It was all luck, because she had chosen the tallest pair she could find. Smiling at the prince, she spoke happily. "I think we match pretty well." Retrieving his old clothes, she picked up a nearby backpack and stuffed them inside. She had a feeling he wouldn't want her to throw away his garments, or else he'd have no suitable clothing for his return home. Picking up her own dress, she stepped up to the shop's front counter, speaking fluidly with the woman as she haggled a price. It took only five minutes for her to arrange a deal. Reaching into her wallet, Lucy withdrew the agreed upon money, a lower price because she was also trading in the bridesmaid dress and shoes.

Once that was finished, Lucianna took Elendil's hand, leading him from the shop with the backpack slung over her shoulder. "I'm so glad Monster Money turns into human money." she said, extremely relieved that they wouldn't need to exchange currency. They were going for distance, after all, which meant that she wanted to stop rarely. So long as they had daylight, she wanted to keep moving. Walking quietly for a few minutes, she finally looked to the Elvish man, her tone conversational as she asked, "Are you excited to be a King someday?" Yvette always seemed excited to be a Queen, and she wondered if all heirs truly believed in their purposes.

Elendil wasn't sure about matching well. His idea was of wearing similar outfits in the Elvish sense. They then headed out onto the street after he paid for a hat that he thought would cover his ears well. They walked down the street side by side. Then the question of if he wanted to be king came up. "I never thought about it." He answered her as he stopped and faced her.

"I never knew any other life other than that of being an heir. I've been bred and groomed for the moment that I take my spot on the throne." He answered her. Since the moment he was born the man knew only the life of a prince. "I don't have much of a choice as well. Sopian can't become queen since she is married to dwarf. My people don't have the same silly rules as you, but marrying the opposite race is pushing it. Lillie is much too weak to take the spot and I fear is she ruled then she would die. I have to protect my sister."

Listening with interested to Elendil's response, she walked beside him. She had matched his pace absently, her thoughts more focused on their conversation over the direction they had randomly chosen. "We've been working on the silly rules." she interjected lightly, knowing that change was long overdue in her country. His concern over his sister drew a sympathetic look, as Lucy had spent years feeling the same way about her own siblings. Yvette may have proven that she can care for herself, but little Nathan was too young to understand the danger his life had brought about. "She'll be okay." Lucy spoke kindly, her tone sounding as if she were absolutely sure. "I can see you being a very fair king, but there is one aspect of your education that I think you lack." Pausing in the middle of the sidewalk, she motioned to the crowds around them, the dozens of humans who lived day by day without any factual knowledge of monsters. "In Spain, we are encouraged to befriend humans, so that when the time comes to reveal ourselves, they will not see us as strangers." She smiled warmly, giving a small wave to a child across the street as she continued. "That time is coming, and many lands have not been so forthcoming as the sirens. I would hope that when you return home, you change that silly kind of rule." Her smile widened as she looked back to Elendil, meeting his gaze as she added softly, "For now, try to enjoy your time out of the Veil." Lucianna took his hand after another few seconds of silent enjoyment over the many humans surrounding them. Stepping forward again, she regained her purpose of distance.

"Lady Luciana, my people do interact with human's on a limited bases. Please understand that my sister is the daughter of a human. It's just Dwarves. They are our archrivals and hence Sopian will not be Queen." The prince responded. His people were slow to change, but little by little his father hand gotten them to at least allow some humans to go to and from. "We however will not open ourselves up to just let anyone come and go as they please."

It seemed odd to the princess, how different their view were on races. Still, Lucy was aware of how odd she must seem; she was born and raised in a period of quick change. She had grown to see race between the magical beings as a silly difference, so when Elendil mentioned the age-old rivalry between his people and dwarves, she dismissed it with a slight frown. Perhaps they had a reason for their feud, but Lucianna saw it as pointless as her own people's skirmishes with the merfolk. Perhaps it was because of the vast difference in their lifespans. Elves lived for centuries upon centuries, never dying of old age. But a siren's life never went beyond two hundred years, meaning that change probably moved faster among her kind. With this in mind, she spoke up politely, not wanting to push too hard on a particular subject. "If that is what you believe will truly benefit your people, then I understand." She had phrased this in such a way to remind him that he would be king someday, which meant that she wanted him to know that it was within his power to change that view.

Letting it go, because she had gotten her point across, she chose to change the subject smoothly. Really, it was a miracle that she had even gotten Elendil to accompany her on this trip. So when she spoke again, she formed her words into a light-hearted question. "Have you ever wondered about other cultures? How they managed to form in such a specific way?" Still walking, her steps held an upbeat feeling as she continued on. "That's why I've studied so many places, and learned seventeen languages." Admittedly, she was hopeful that he would find her knowledge impressive, as she was still trying to find out what quality he found attractive in a person. When she had tried to flirt using simply her body, he had not even noticed. So maybe, she thought, Elendil would appreciate her mind.

It was only a few minutes later that she heard her stomach growl, causing her to laugh embarrassingly when she realized that it had come from her. They had been walking for over three hours, causing her to survey their surroundings. They had long ago left the bustle of the city. Since then, the pair had been walking through the quieter parts of the town, the buildings thinning out as the sun sunk lower in the sky. The light was already growing dimmer, and though she was slightly disappointed that they would need to stop soon, she was looking forward to dinner. Unfortunately, Lucy hadn't eaten any of the pizza at the wedding, having spent all her time talking and organizing. "We've got just under twenty hours left." she told him after glancing at the timer on her phone. That was good, she thought, it meant that they could stop for the night and still enjoy the next afternoon exploring the city.

Elendil listened to what the girl said and asked. He wasn't rude. In fact, he was so freaked out about their surroundings that he didn't want to go far from her anyways. "You are impressive with your knowledge and skills. I was only ever required to learn Elvish and Common tongue. However I've picked up a few words in dwarvish." He commented. The languages that he did learn were because it was the official languages of his people.

"Singing, Lute, harp and flute for music. Plant studies, histories of peoples all over the world, politics, and of course art." The man commented as he smiled. He loved art so much that it was probably all he thought about.

The elf prince smiled as he heard her belly growl. "Lets get something to eat since we didn't eat anything at the wedding. I heard from my sister that Chinese food is interesting. Then again she is a little weird." He joked about his half human sister. He turned to the side and pointed at a restaurant close by.

Elendil's compliment was received by a large grin. Clearly, she was pleased to find some kind of entrance into his opinions, giving her cause to continue speaking. His own knowledge of languages was enough for her to comment on, "I could help you with Dwarvish. It's all in the throat, really." The language was a deeper sound, far more gravelly than her native tongue. In fact, the few times she had attempted to speak to a dwarf in his language, she had earned a sore throat for hours after. As Elendil continued to list his talents, she held onto her smile. Her words were light, though it was clear she was contemplating something. "Perhaps we can get you some supplies, so you can draw something about our day." Moving on, she glanced to the restaurant he pointed out, her face lighting up at the idea of food. "We'll see how weird you'll be compared to her after trying a few dishes." She laughed, tugging on his hand to lead him closer to the shop.

Once there, she opened the door, stepping inside as she pulled Elendil in alongside her. "I hope you like seafood." She added quietly as the door shut behind them. The two were greeted and led to a seat, and once the prince had slid into a booth, she sat next to him out of habit, rather than across. Her gaze roamed about the restaurant's interior the entire time; it was clearly a place set up for tourists. From the seating to the style of the worker's uniforms, Lucianna knew that most of these people could probably speak some English. A small sigh escaped her, she had wanted to experience a purely authentic Taiwan, but she quickly piped up at the sight of the menus. Ignoring the small print of english words beneath each dish, which did confirm her suspicions, she found their list of boba teas. "Order something random." she told him, "If you don't like it, I think you'll like what I get." She smiled, looking up at him after she had made her choice.

Elendil looked around at the sights. he had never been to the human world. Part of it excited him and part of it scared him. He was still worried about his ears. Everything else about him just said tall lackey human. The man was feeling a little overwhelmed by all the new things around him and glad to duck into a building for a bit. As they walked into the door the man finally commented about his art supplies. "I have some in my bag." He commented to her with a smile.

The odd man sat down. He didn't know the difference between a tourist trap or the real deal. That was just the way he was. With his luck he would pick out the only American fast food restaurant within a mile. The Man looked at the menu carefully. Lucky for him there was some words in the common language (English). Elendil did as Lucy said and pointed at a random dish. He wasn't a picky eater at all.
