"Nas! Yo, Nas!" Jen'shan called into her parents' den, knowing that at right this moment there was only one occupant: her brother, Nasibu. He didn't even live in there anymore, he was just hiding from her! Coward. "C'mon, Nas, don't be an a**! And don't make me come in there!"

The blue lioness was being deliberately louder - and more obnoxious - than was really necessary, but she didn't care how far her voice carried or who might hear. She'd been yelling into the den for several minutes now, with the occasional pause to breathe and formulate new insults to fling at her sibling in retaliation for his ignoring her. He had perfectly legitimate reasons for doing so, of course, as the 'adventures' his sister liked to drag him around on were hazardous to one's health. Jen'shan was practically a walking hazard herself.

And if he didn't come out soon, she was going to prove it by marching in there and dragging him out by that crooked tail of his.

So this 'friend' thing that Tau was tasked with was going...no where. Somewhere. Anywhere? He didn't know. He didn't much trust his instincts that these lions were actual friends with him. Why would anyone want to be friends with him? The crown was all they saw, and that was what they wanted to be friends with. At times, Tau wished that he would royally screw up and be sent home.

Home....how was everyone at home? He had been gone for so long, he wondered if it would even feel like home, or just another place he didn't belong.

With a grumble and a sigh, he sulked down off of pride rock, trying to be as polite as possible to those he passes. Though he gave kind smiles and warm hellos, they were all very...fake. His gloominess wasn't helping him, and he was at a loss of what to do next.

The obnoxious sounds he had heard earlier were getting...louder. Was someone just mad or was he approaching this fight unintentionally? One never seemed to be loud around here unless it was some sort of petty disagreement.

As he turned to see a row of dens, he started. A very...boisterous lioness was only a few lengths away from him, and she didn't seem to be in the most pleasant of moods. He wanted to turn away and ignore her, but the fear of his grandfather's disapproval hung over him. So...

"Er....is something wrong?" he asked half-heartedly, mildly curious but mostly not wanting that focus completely turned on him.

"NASIBU! I swear to-"

Whatever she was about to swear to would remain a mystery. She cut herself off and whipped around, the motion swift and hard enough that the little bone tied to the end of her braid swung around and thwapped her right in the eye, eliciting a rather crude, colorful, and utterly unrepeatable phrase that was delivered with almost as much volume as her tirade against her brother.

Right in front of the heir. Unphased by what for some would have been a terrible social gaffe, she simply huffed at the adolescent and tossed her head, flipping her braid up into her unruly mohawk and out of the way for now.

"No, I'm just yelling into a den at my brother for the sheer hell of it." Sarcasm, but at the same time...that was pretty much what it boiled down to. She was bored, so she was harassing her most harassable sibling.

The colourful words were nothing new to Tau, but he had to admit that he was used to hearing it from males, no females. Honestly? It made him reconsider some assumptions he had made in the past. He wasn't really sure what to do with that information, but he'd sort out those feelings later.

"Healthy," Tau commented, though there was a twinge of intimidation in his posture. Though perhaps she wasn't as crude as this blue lioness before him, his mother was a very self-sufficient and powerful lioness. His memories of her were those of a cub, and as such they were blown into larger proportions than perhaps they really were. He felt like rebelling against that memory, and as such attempted to step out of the role as the perfect Pridelands heir. Even he wasn't sure where he fit, and it was too tempting to try something new for a change.

"Strengthening the lungs," he joked, bobbing of his head. "And the eyes, I suppose."

He still had a bit of uncertainty in his posture, and the mixture of signals may confuse the lioness though Tau was completely unaware of it. "Perhaps he heard you and ran off before you reached the den." His violet eyes jerked to the den's entrance before returning on the lioness in front of him.

"Strengthening something." Jen grumbled, but it was followed by a little chuckle. "Going to strengthen my claws on him one of these days."

"Oh, no, he's in there alright, AREN'T YOU NAS?" The last was yelled over her shoulder, but there was still no response from within. The silent treatment was evidently in full effect. Jen'shan heaved a sigh, giving up on her brother for the moment.

"Let 'im stay in there if he wants, he's no fun anyway." The blue lioness paused and eyed the crown prince, considering. "How about you? Are you any fun?"
