... i don't know how to format this post so forgive me for babbling.

over the past year or so i've finally started feeling comfortable in my skin. despite some difficulties i'm happier than i've ever been before by being so confident and open with who i am. and i want to be this way with all of you, too, since this is a community i've been a part of (... less so recently, but still) for a really long time.

so, uh. hi guys. i'm nils, or nilla wafers. i identify as genderqueer, and my pronouns are they/them/their.

"okay so why are you making this post" 1) to come out to all of you 2) to ask for some adjustments, because i have known some of you for a really long time.

please only call me nils, nilsy, nilla, or any variations off of that -- a lot of you know my real name(s), but i've been associating less and less with them. most of you call me nils/nilsy anyway so that's not too huge of a change i think. just don't spread either of my real names.

but, more importantly to me, i'd like a switch from she/her/hers (he/him/his, which has been used for me once in a blue moon) to they/them/their. so for example, instead of "she's here", "they're here". "they rp alihi" instead of "she rps alihi". "they posted" instead of "she posted". etc etc. it's a matter of personal comfort and safety, so i'd really appreciate it.

ttttttttthat's about it. time to disappear back into the shadows again-- i mean, i said nothing about leaving. no. nothing at all.

but really, thank you for reading this!!

Having already known this for some time because I'm your friend and we're married and the best couple in all of FEF, you already know how much I support you and your identity.

Gotta REPRESENT that queer spectrum.

Love ya, Nilsy~ heart

Rock on!

Glad that you're able to come that much closer with being comfortable with your identity, which we're more than happy to comply with! Best of luck to you, Nilsy.

It's nice to see so many people recently coming forward with their announcements of who they really are. I understand exactly how hard it is to find the courage to do so and not just keep it hidden behind farces.

It takes a great bit of courage, but the feeling of getting it off your chest once you do is a great relief and it gets even better when people accept and support you from it.

I second her words. Congratulations and know we both support you in this and though we don't know you too well, we're here if you ever want someone to talk to about these issues. Believe us, we know how it gets.

I'm glad you're comfortable and trusting enough of us to come out to us, Nils. smile No matter what, we will accept you. I just hope that you come around more often! I've missed you more than you know.

I am baffled and intrigued, and wish to know more, but do not wish to ask.

But it is very cool that people are getting more and more accepted for this new way of thinking and feeling. I see all these back and forths for cisgender vs transgender vs ******** and both sides of everything seem heated. But it seems like the best way is to just accept each other's beliefs rather than hating them for not accepting yours.

Bingo-bango, I wrote a cruel thesis.

It may not be all inclusive, but I love and embrace what is different. Maybe not readily, maybe it takes me a couple hundred years, but I'll get around to sharing my cinnamon rolls with everyone.

Except Rath. I gave him one, turned my back, dude had two.

Sorry for the super late reply, but on the off chance that you read this, I wanted to let you know that I'm behind you all the way. I'm really glad to hear that you finally feel comfortable. I've been a lot more off than on for the past couple of years, but I still do consider you a friend.

If you ever need someone to chat with about it, I'd be happy to oblige. I'm transgender, and while it's obviously not the same thing, I'm sure I'd be able to identify with a lot of the same issues you might be having.
