Roleplay colors: Destry Rose Ambryn Rose Callie
Nerves fluttered in Destry Rose's stomach as he and his newfound daughter came upon the place where his once-best-friend stood. This was it--a reunion. He'd never known he had a daughter; God, he never would've left, never would've done alot of things...but then he wouldn't be who he was today. This bright, inquisitive pony with a love for nature and a wiseness about him. He'd grown up, he'd matured, and he'd become a son Nightshade would've been proud of. As he came upon the familiar, achingly beautiful form of Callie--the cerynei-wind cross mare that had once held all of his affections--he froze up and stopped. This was it... "Callie?" he asked, voice softer than he'd expected despite the pounding of his heart.

Ambryn was following next to her father,it was almost like he knew exactly where to go. She watched as he got flustered about seeing her mother. "Mommy!" She called out,she didn't know if she would noticed her first or Destry. Either way she knew Callie was happy to see her.She always was. "Look who I found!"

Callie was grazing on the nice green grass.She was oblivious that her daughter even left. That wasn't a bad thing,it just meant she was in a mood and really didn't mind that her daughter left her side,just as long as she was safe. Callie sighed softly as she looked up and around the area around her."Ambryn.."She said softly and kept looked around.Now she noticed her daughter had wandered off and went to do something.Maybe find her some kind of treat again.Callie loved it when Ambryn did that for her.
Her ears caught the sound of a familiar voice. She looked over towards it.There was her daughter and Destry... Callie's heart stopped and sunk. She couldn't believe it..

Destry stood there for a moment, glancing from Ambryn to Callie and back again, his excitement dimming a few watts. His breath caught in his throat, uncertainty and guilt weighing him down, but...he needed this. Needed a closure--they both did. He highly doubted Callie would ever take him back, at least not as fast as young Ambryn had, but he...needed to say his peace. His ears flicking back, he puffed himself up and closed the distance between them. "Callie..." his voice was a murmur. "I..." Damnit, brain. "You look like you always did," he settled with, albeit a bit awkwardly, and his smile was suddenly girlish and shy. "Hey there... I never knew. I'm sorry..."

Callie felt some guilt in her as well.She never told him. Wasn't sure how he would feel about being a father with him being so young as he was. Callie moved forward and put her head under his chin,little tears left her eyes. The feelings were hitting deep in Callie's heart. "I never told you.." Callie was just worried and moody then,the fight made it so she never wanted to tell him and that she wanted to deal with it all on her own.
"I'm...sorry too.."She would take him back,but it had to go through a healing process.Bring everything back to how it was before.

It was true; he'd been young, probably too young, seduced by the guiles of a mare... a mare he'd considered his best friend. The bond they'd had--or he'd thought they had--was a strong one, one that even after they'd parted ways he reeled from. It took him awhile, but he'd grown up. He'd managed. He'd continued to live and love with all of his heart. "Callie..." he breathed as she pressed against him and he draped his neck over hers, squeezing her tight, his own eyes beginning to water. "I was stupid. Young. You know." He pulled back and gazed down at her, back into those brown eyes. A half-smile graced his lips. "And I understand if you don't want me here--I'm okay with that. You've raised your--our--daughter well. Ambryn is beautiful and gentle." His heart gave a pang as he looked over at Ambryn, who was letting them have their reunion in peace. He swallowed. "And things have changed. All you have to do is say the words and I'll leave your lives again. For better or for worse."

She looked back up into his eyes. "You can stay.."That's all she said. Him coming back was probably the best thing besides Ambryn that happened to her."She...is a wonderful daughter isn't she.." Callie smiled over at her daughter and she went back to nuzzling Destry. "You..indeed have grown.."She laughed softly and sniffled as they spoke to each other.Her heart was fluttering in her chest. Just made her so happy that her daughter would go out and make them meet up again,she really did want her father in her own life,plus for her mother so be so much more happier.

Destry's heart pounded. Stay... She was offering him such a prize--the chance to be with family, a chance to try again... Then why did he feel like crying? Good tears, of course, and he just grinned. "She truly is," he agreed with a soft laugh, sending Ambryn a wink over Callie's shoulder. When Callie looked at him, he felt a blush rise up along with a laugh. "Yeah, well--time will do that to ya, you know. I'm still me...just older." He wasn't sure what it was--fate, destiny?--that brought hm to meet Ambryn...but he was thanking whatever gods were up there. "I...want to try again. If you'd have me?" he asked softly. "And if it doesn't work this time--I'll stay as a friend. As Ambryn's dad. I won't leave you alone again."

She was wounded,but she wouldn't let something silly destroy the wonderful beings before her that god gave her. "Of course..That's what I've been waiting for..I just... didn't know if you ever wanted to come back.."She sighed and kept nuzzling him. "It'll work out.."She said softly and closed her eyes.Callie wanted to relax and keep as close to them as possible. It was finally going to work. It wasn't going to be ruined again.
