Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

It had only taken a few moments to reach an altitude that made the pair of demons nearly invisible to the human eye, a mere spec in the sky. Easily mistaken for a bird, or perhaps a plane. The afternoon sky was unrelenting, the heat only being soothed by the constant wind and beating of the gallant creature’s ghostly wings. Agnès curled herself closely to the Kirin’s neck, arms loosely wrapped around it. She wore goggles of made of thick plastics over her eyes to help keep the wind at bay. It was a prime view of Tokyo from the high skies, if only it were night.

The small group’s pass over Tokyo was particularly uneventful, nothing to share the skies with other than ordinary birds. As far as the eye could see was a sea of glittering glass structures, and variations of color spanning from a faded white to a variety of dulled greys. The sight was fairly depressing, the night view was not only a plethora of color and light that rivaled even the city of lights. A small smile crossed the woman’s lips as she pictured Tokyo’s night sky, closing her icy eyes for a brief moment. Her icy gaze soon returned to the view of the bay, flying just over the docks, large crates looking minuscule from the height, little ants running around the piers moving slightly larger boxes and things. What the place was devoid of was the student body who were supposed to meet at one of the empty piers. Yet, it would appear no had yet arrived. ‘Tsk, tsk…’ Agnès thought to herself as she shook her head. ‘Now we have to keep our eyes peeled. Should be about an hour or more out.’ The fair haired woman communicating to the white demons that accompanied her, gently patting the side of the Kirin’s neck. Feeling the hardened scales that lined its flesh and bristle like fur underneath her palm.

The ocean stretched out before the small group for what seemed like hours, glistening waves churning violently well below. Not a cloud dared cross the pale sky, leaving the trip devoid of landmarks. Until, they came across a particular sheen, something that wasn’t just the sun’s reflection. Something, that looked closer to glass or perhaps steel? An’givare’s gravelly voice boomed in the woman’s head, ‘WE’VE FOUND IT~’ The beast chimed to them. ‘That.. Would seem to be the case..’ Agnès replied to the iridescent beast as she recoiled from the sudden noise, her arms’ flailing to grip the sides of her skull as she kept a tight grip to her steed with her thighs. ‘You should re-frame from such loud voices.. An’givare. You forget we can all hear you.’ Vermeille chided his companion, although kept to his course, as the hidden island began to draw near.

Minutes passed as the once small tan blocks of color became something more, something that only seemed to ‘grow’ rapidly as they drew closer to the source. The small group flew over a large brick wall that towered perhaps a hundred feet into the sky, their destination within the center of the bustling city they approached.

Vermeille’s altitude began to drop as the three came only a short distance from the edge of a massive clearing of white stone. The space circled by coliseum like arches and pillars, a single tower standing tall in the center of the place. Beyond a massive metallic structure stood, the Exorcist hall is what it was known as. It would be their first real destination. As the Kirin’s split hoofs found their place along the ground Agnès leaped from his back, landing in a crouch nearby. She pushed herself from the ground, turning back towards the fair creature, caressing the deer like face and running her fingers through the soft mane.
“Now, we go to the hall just on the other side of this town square. An’givare, behave yourself.” Agnès said to her familiars, her icy eyes observing the rhythmic eye movements of her over-sized lizard- she could tell he was sizing up the passing exorcists. Some watched the rare beasts carefully; others seemed to ignore their presence. Neither stance bothered the woman as she began to lead, taking confident strides towards the Exorcist hall. The Kirin’s hoofs clicked softly against the white stone below as it began to follow the fair haired woman. ‘I’ll feed you soon An’givare. You need not worry about that.’ Agnès reminded the iridescent beast as he stretched his large wings before pushing off the ground, lazily floating through the air not far from his master.

Four hours after the departure from Japan, and listening to Dist’s crazy stories and experiments which caused a few of the participants to become sick and puke over the side of the boat, Ignazio was ready for a shower and something small to eat, but unfortunately this wasn’t a luxuries paid vacation, this was an exam to test his abilities beyond what he was already use to; although living under the roof of the Barthomeloi or even one of the other Great Exorcist Families, this exam might not appear to be as brutal as he would have lusted for. Once the ship stopped Ignazio placed his shoulder bag over his left side and let the strap hang on his right shoulder and soon he grabbed the suitcase by the metal pole with his left hand and took up his briefcase in his right. The male followed the single filed line down the top of the deck and took another look at Dist before placing his foot on the exiting pad. Ignazio turned around and smiled ”Thanks for all your hard work, Dist the Reaper” he called as the exit pad glowed green and began hover down from the ship with the boy and his belongings. Dist caused a scene on the ship that was like a bat straight out of hell. The tamer chuckled as he heard the man screaming and throwing a fit, personally to Ignazio, the title of Reaper sounded much better than Rose; but who was he to say anything about it. Upon the platform touching the surface of the ground Ignazio looked at the large wall around the city entrance. ”So this is Howling City, man I could get use to this.” he muttered as he pulled his suitcase behind him while he walked through the gates following the masses. Everyone seemed to crowd together as they made their way towards Hotel Kubikuri. No matter how hard he searched for the hotel’s name on the internet there wasn’t a single trace of it, which made him believe it really wasn’t a real hotel.

As he made his way through the city Ignazio couldn’t help but notice the different shops and the demonic writing on the signs, ’I see, Hanging Neck Island is a demon safe zone in Assiah, to think the Vatican actually allows this sort of thing.’ he thought to himself as he moved through the city streets and then turned his head before noticing there were a lot of humans on the island too. The male was slightly confused about all of it. But that was until he came to a sudden stop and found himself in front of a large hotel. The demonic writing read Kubikukuri. Most of the group seemed to be having trouble reading the sign but the ones who didn’t just entered the hotel. Ignazio didn’t even notice the fact he had traveled over a lake in order to reach the hotel, he was too busy looking around and trying to figure out what he had to do next as well as how this island was in such good shape if so many demons lived here; especially coming from different kin. He shook his head clear of his thoughts and walked up to the counter as a woman waved to him to come forward. She was extremely large, not large width wise, but large length wise. Ignazio looked up and the woman leaned forwards and asked for his information. ”True Cross Academy, Exwire, Ignazio Barthomeloi.” he recited to the woman quickly, she soon retreated behind the desk and began to press buttons on her laser keyboard and found the reservations. Appearing once again the woman extended her hand out with a card key and a map. Soon she called for the next person. Ignazio took hold of the key and the map and moved along. ”For such a luxurious hotel, they could have a better staff especially a half demon staff.” he grumbled under his breath as he made his way to the elevator. The male opened the map to find the numbers 1015 written in large writing. Having a room to himself was going to be amazing, unlike those who entered in teams, they’d have to share one of the rooms in this hotel, it was a pity this place was magnificent and to have it all to himself it was for the better.

The elevator pad reached the ground floor finally and a group of students entered, among the group was the tamer. He noticed the fourth floor was already illuminated on the chart and soon the elevator began to move upwards. After a few stops on the first nine floors Ignazio found it was only himself and two others on the top floor. He looked at the others out of the corner of his eyes and then looked forward. There was a girl, who didn’t look like she was older than ten years old, another male whom reminded him of Victor, only with a cuter face, and finally someone with a cloak over their head and body, Ignazio couldn’t tell if it was a male or a female, so he just registered them in his mind as an it for now. With the whooshing of the doors springing open, Ignazio left the elevator first, followed by the little girl, the muscle man, and then the cloaked figure. Each of them took different paths to find their rooms. Ignazio was lucky his room wasn’t too far from the elevator, letting go of his suitcase for a second he placed the cardkey in front of the door until a green light appeared. His name flashed across the top of the door and soon the door opened for him. Ignazio smiled as he was happy the hotel was so convenient.

Taking hold of his luggage once more he wheeled the bag inside of what reminded him of his house. It was extremely large from what was supposed to be a room. Ignazio’s mouth almost dropped as the door closed behind him. He made his way around the hot tub in the center of the room and pulled his bags up the stairs and reached the giant crimson covered bed. ”Now this is a bed room.” he said in awe. Ignazio placed his suitcase on top of the bed and then his briefcase next to it. He had pretty much everything he needed on his person already but he needed to add his equipment to his ensemble. After to clicks of the locks on the side of the briefcase Ignazio opened it to find an array of throwing knives perfectly laid out, four perfectly stacked boxes which held his talismans, and then a single five pronged Vajra attacked to the top of the case. Ignazio opened the first box of talismans and took a stack before placing this within the designed slot in the top of his shirt. Next to be added on to him were the throwing knives, and unlike his academy clothes he didn’t have the option to have a rig set up in these old fashion clothes. The male removed his tarot cards from his holster and swapped them for the knives. He placed the cards within his shirt next to the talismans within another compartment. Ignazio sighed as he tried to figured out were the Vajra was supposed to go. He decided to slide it behind him into the sash as if it was some gangster weapon.

Turning his body after patting himself down he looked almost as if he wasn’t carrying a single thing on him, which was a great in terms of psyching his opponents out, if anything his clothing alone made him look like a fighter rather than a tamer. The long Changshan was very convincing clothing in terms of how tight yet baggy they were. They fit the person like a glove yet they appeared to be loose and flowing like the wind. He never thought he’d appreciate the culture his father was placing upon him until he noticed that. ”All this thing needs now, is a rig for all my knives.” Ignazio said to himself as he made his way to the bathroom, and just like the room it was spectacular. ”I have to hand it to the demons here, this hotel is the best I’ve ever been in. The design and the atmosphere is god worthy.” he said before reaching into his pocket to check his phone. There was service. ”Funny, they said this was like a no tech zone, and yet the landing craft, the elevator, and not to mention my phone working.” Ignazio said as he looked at the time and then slid the slim device back into his pocket. Leaving the bathroom allowing the lights to shut off on their own; the tamer walked back over to his bed and took up his cardkey and made his way back to the door to leave the room.

Ignazio opened the door and headed into the hallway only to hear other doors closing in sync with his own. ’Guess those other people are coming as well.’ Ignazio thought to himself as he checked to make sure the door was locked. He quickly turned and made his way to the elevator. Pushing the down arrow on the elevator he entered the machine once it got to the tenth floor. Ignazio stepped inside and soon found himself in the elevator with the same people he exited the elevator, but the cloaked figure wasn’t wearing a cloak, turns out it was really a she and she was beautiful. She had long orange hair and a nice gymnastic body and a sword at her side. ’Knight class?’ he thought to himself as he analyzed the group while the made their way down to the main lobby. Upon reaching the lobby he saw a group of people carrying all sorts of weapons with them on their way to the first examination and registration hall. ’Axes, machine guns, a bazooka, what the hell do these people think we are doing on day one?’ Ignazio thought as he scanned around the room and quickly flipped his hair from his eyes and made his way down the line and headed towards the glass doors. Ignazio left the hotel and made his way across the long line that was heading inside of the hotel for check in. The few that had already completed their check in was struggling to make it through the crowd. Glaring slightly he noticed the young girl and the once cloaked girl move at a high speed leaping on top of the water and then on to the roof of the hotel. Ignazio smirked and took a powerful leap his body became a blur before vanishing and appearing on top of the roof. Ignazio followed the girls as until they reached the street side. The Exorcist hall wasn’t so far from the hotel. Ignazio landed gently on the ground. The tamer started to walk through the crowded streets and made his way to the Exorcist hall.

The shipped arrived at the island after a long four hour trip. During his trip he was able to pin point everyone that was on the mission with like Ignazio, Lloyd, Akemi, and even Titus. Alaric didn't talk to any of them during the trip to the island, he didn't want to keep a friendly attitude during the trip just in case this was going to be part of the Exam, but it seemed like his worries was incorrect. Unlike the others Alaric didn't feel any type of sickness during the voyage, he actually enjoyed the sea travel, but the was because the ocean wind calmed his nerves completely and without he would be puking over the edge like some of the others. He didn't interact with the captain of the ship known as the Dist the Reaper, he did listen to the man talk about some pretty odd things, but didn't let it get to him. The only reason he listen was because he heard of Dist from his father when he was being explain about the Exorcist System, other then his rank he knew nothing about the man. After the trip he knew why his father didn't talk about Dist the Reaper, this man was rather insane, but still interesting nonetheless. As the ship docked Alaric grabbed his duffle bag and his father's sword and made his way out of the ship with all the others.

Alaric eyes widen as saw the large city known as Howling City, "I can feel so many demons hear," he muttered. Alaric never felt so many demons in one place before. Alaric did do some research about the Hanging Neck Island, he found out it was a safe zone in Assiah for demons and they were able to coexist with humans, but he couldn't believe such a place was even real. Alaric goal was to have half demons and human to coexist, but he never thought about coexisting with demons before. Then the memory of what the Cerberus said about knowing his mother and then he thought about what if all humans and demon could coexist like they do here at Howling City. With a shake of his head he shook off his thoughts of his goal because his goal at the moment was to pass the Exorcist Exam and nothing was going to stop him from doing that.

Alaric started to make his way through the city, since he had a little bit of time he decided to look around a bit, but still searching for this hotel with the name, Kubikuri. During his search he saw a lot of different half demons just walking around and enjoying their life, he felt happy about this, but he was beginning to feel annoyed since he was having such a hard time finding Hotel Kubikuri, he couldn't find it anywhere. "All these damn places are written in demon writing. If I knew this I would have study a bit more about the demon writing," he let out a sigh. Alaric only knew a few letters in the demon language surely it wasn't a enough, he was beginning to lose hope until he came across a line of Page and Exwire, "Whats this?" He looked up and saw that the building that the students were entering looked like a hotel, so Alaric made the assumption this was the place they were suppose to go. Alaric was overjoyed that he found the hotel and he could get his room and make his way to the Exorcist Hall, but first he had to wait in line to get into the hotel.

Yggdmillennia Seal: On Back of Blazer& Vest, and as a small emblem on the front breast.
User Image

Four full hours of hearing Celebron trying to explain what had happened within their very first year of True Cross Academy, which still had not yet ended. The small Cat Demon hit every major point that occurred throughout their time in the Academy, and Lloyd would speak about the small miscellaneous things that had occurred around the Academy. But, while the two spoke on who was important, and which student was probably just a body in the way of everyone else, Lloyd only thought of those around him. As far as he could tell, he was the only Page on the boat that he could visibly see, but even if he was surrounded by Middle Class and higher, he would not stop proceeding forwards. Speaking of, he could only think back to his great grandfather who had sonsored him. Pages required the sponsorship of those belonging to the Middle Class or higher, and given that the Yggdmillennia Family was comprised of nothing but members of Middle Class ranking or higher, it was not hard for him to find sponsorship. But, the sponsorship he acquired was not what he had expected to receive that quickly. Gavin Yggdmillennia, one of the most feared swordsmen within the Yggdmillennia Family, and the only living Sword Saint that preceded him.

The eighty-seven year old had made sure that Lloyd had both a place to stay within a Hotel and a means of keeping himself alive while on the island. It was time to get the exam over with, and given the things he needed to do before he could actually take the exam, he could not wait to get off of the boat. When they finally came to a harbor once again Ignazio had spoken up, and in his words he could only look to the Captain of the Ship. Not only had he not said the male's name right, he also had given him another title instead of the "Rose" he had demanded to be called. In response, the Captain through one hell of a fit and began to thrash around the ship deck in nothing but pure rage. Celebron took back to Lloyd's shoulder and as he stood, Sirzechs had placed his paws around Lloyd's forearm so that he would not all when the Knight stood back up. Lifting his bag back onto his shoulder, he moved pass the crazed Captain and quickly dismounted. Moving through the city quickly led him to the large ornate hotel and as he entered its doors, he could see people moving away and towards the front desk and then heading to the elevator and or the stairs.

"True Cross Academy, Page, Lloyd Yggdmillennia." His words were calm and spoken with a kind tone before he watched the woman disappear for a moment. When she came back, it was with his room card and a small map, and after taking it in his hands he made his way up the stairs. The elevators were generally crowded, and he had no patience to remain crapped within a small moving room with a multitude of other students and competitors for the soon to come exam. The map number given to him was 888, which possibly meant that he was lucky, right? Double numbers were generally a sign of luck, or so he had heard. What were triple numbers? No matter. It took a little while, but soon enough he had found his room, and after opening it, he quickly threw his bag down and onto the single bed within the room. Once his stuff had been put down, he was already headed back outside the room, locking the door behind him. After locking his door, he made it back down towards the ground floor. Once there he was quick to slip through the crowd in order to head for the Exorcist Hall.

It turned out the Captain was probably slightly mad, but she personally found his psychotic stories interesting. And his previous experiments exciting, although- most of the other students didn’t feel the same. Many were lost their stomachs- either from the graphic details of the things past or because of the constant sway of the ocean. It had been four hours, and now they were coming to the port of a strange island. A monstrous brick wall towered above, students shifted expectantly as the boat slowed to a stop. One the bridge had been let down once more the hot, sweaty bodies of class mates poured out into the streets of the mysterious land. Alexandria found herself being pushed forward by expectant teenagers, she could only really go with the flow, gripping the hilt of her rapier and the strap of her leather back pack- those were the two things she couldn’t afford to lose.

The streets of the island were filled with mysterious letters- she recognized it as the common form of demon’s written language. She knew that much from classes in demonology, but knew little of what the strange writing meant. Alexandria followed the crowd of students through the streets, till she came to the stop at the far end of a lake. A tall building lay at the far side- only accessible by a small path through the lake. Some seemed hesitant about crossing, yet a fair number of students had already begun making the trip back and forth, she saw no reason to not see what lay in the building on the lake.

Some minutes later passed as she made her way down the path but it was long before she stood in the lavish hotel lobby, looking up at the vast columns of marble and other beautiful objects. A line stretched out and she hopping into the nearest one. It wasn’t but a few minutes of waiting before a very tall demon leaned down towards her, asking of her name and credentials.
“True Cross, Exwire, Alexandria Ferdinand.” The girl replied almost robotically. The tall demoness handed her a key briefly mentioning the room number as well as the name of a roommate. Alexandria nodded her head as she walked away from the desk making her way towards the stair-well.

Her room wasn’t far down one of the hall ways and seemed to overlook the lake that surrounded the building. There was another bag thrown lazily on the bed and the sound of running water coming from the bath room. ‘My roommate I suppose.’ The fair haired doctor told herself as she placed her own bag on the free bed. She quickly unpacked her things into a set of drawers, setting out the small container bags of poisons and antidotes she carried. Loosening the belt from around her waist, she placed it on the bed as she slipped the containers onto it before re-securing the belt to her waist. Adjusting the placement of the containers to allow access should she need to use them.

The young doctor felt better about carrying the valuable concoctions rather than leaving them in a room with someone she had never met before, knowing full well they wouldn’t be needed to complete the first exam. ‘I really need to get moving to actually take that exam..’ Alexi told herself as she looked at the digital clock that rested on the bed stand. The Austrian didn’t wait to meet her roommate instead dashing out the door once more and down the hallway, off towards the Exorcist Hall.

Once the boat docked on the Island Akemi grabbed her things. The ride itself was was long and uneventful. Nothing too exciting happened. A few boys would yell back and forth at each other trying to prove their manlyness. there was even a point to where a boy for some reason felt the need to try and woo her with his charm and guns. Akemi had to admit the boy was attractive but his overly confident attitude was ruining it for her. After about 30 minutes if the man trying to catch her intrest he started to get annoyed with her that she wasn't looking at him or even making any expression"Please leave." she finally said to the boy. He's response was as expected he got defensive and said he prayed for her to not have to face him during the exams. The stormed off.

Getting off of the boat Akemi looked around at the area the group had arrived. ' So this is hanging neck Island. '
The places was huge but there was no time for sight seeing. she headed straight for the are where she was suppose to get her physical done. She didn't bother heading for the hotel room quite yet but she wanted to make sure she got what needed to be done out of the way so she didn't have to cram it in later. the Physical didn't take long and she walked out with the information she needed on a form and headed for the hotel room

After making her way to the hotel room the doors where huge. large wooden doors opened slowly as she pushed on them. Picking her suit case off the ground she walked inside the hotel looked at how elegant the hotel was. Everything was so polished, not a spec of dirt on anything at all what so ever. Akemi walked up to the desk clerk and checked in. The desk clerk gave her room key and told her what floor her room number was one
"Thank you." Picking up her bag once more she made her way to the elevator. Pressing the up button she waited for the designated ding that alerted her that the elevator had arrived. The doors slide open and the empty escalator was revealed Akemi walked in and pressed the floor number she needed to be on. The elevator was quick to get to the floor she needed and the doors opened up one more. 'Room 253' she quickly found the room number and slide the card into the slit and the green light lit up telling her that the key worked and she opened the door.

the room was just as elegant as the hotel itself and Akemi was feeling like true royalty being in a hotel this fancy. However the exams where about to begin and she had to started gathering her things together and head to the exorcist hall. She opened up her suite case and grabbed everything she needed out of it and left the hotel.

Equipment Name: Banishing Bullets x2
Description: These are known as Banishing Bullets, they are made from sacred steel blessed by four of the world’s most virtuous monks, which is the same method in order to create a demon sword but instead of placing the soul of a demon into the steel, the bullets are in a raw purified form laced in holy water and holy wine, which makes them highly dangerous towards low and mid-level demons. Etched into the side of the bullets is a crucifix which binds this hold power together. Demons shot with one of these bullets can lead directly to death because of the high amount of holy energy. They tend to completely destroy the targeted area so it turns to nothing but dust. A shot to the head is fatal for low level Demons while upper level demons might take more than a single shot to kill them with these bullets. If a mid-level or higher demon is shot with one of these bullets are able to resist the holy power for a period of time but the bullet must be removed as soon as possible if they want to survive and start healing. Locations shot with these bullets won’t heal until the bullet is properly removed. Half-Demons are also affected by these bullets but they tend to suffer milder side effects because of their human side but because they are still demons they will feel as if they are being burned alive from the inside out starting from the location the bullet entered the body and will eventually make its way to their hearts.

Once again Alaric was getting annoyed about the line taking so long, but after a few moment of him complaining under his breath he was finally at the front counter. The lady behind the counter ask him for his information. "Page of the True Cross Academy, Alaric Erzengel," he said with a smile. The lady bent down and grabbed his room key and a map from underneath the counter and gave it too him, he grabbed his things and gave small bow to the women and made his way to his room. Since he found the hotel and was given a map there was no need to rush to the area for the exam, but he wasn't going to wait the last minute to get there. As he made his way to the elevator he looked around and saw most of the staff were half demons like himself, he was glad to see that they could have a job and not be judge for what they are. He also was pretty amazed how nice the hotel looked, "I have to say its nice to have my father money during a time like this," he said, his father was part of a pretty wealthy family in Germany, but they weren't a large Exorcist family since his father was the first Exorcist of the Erzengel family. While in his thoughts he made it to the elevator, he got in with bunch of other students, he kept quiet as most of them just chit chat among themselves, "There is a lot of students here. I guess its not surprising since they allowed Pages to enter this year, so I bet the participants doubled this year. I wonder if they excepted so much more people this year?" He looked within the map while he was in the elevator and saw he was on the ninth floor and in room 909. After a few stops on different floors Alaric was completely by himself, it seem most of the students in the elevator with him were pretty much on the same floor. The elevator finally made it to ninth floor, he exited the elevator and started to search for his room. He looked in the map once more to make sure he remember his room number correctly,

When he got to his room he place the key card into the door and entered, right when he entered his eyes immediately widely open, he dropped his bags on the floor, he was utterly amaze at the sight of it. The room was filled with something a movie star would have like a hot tub in the room and huge beds, "This is just amazing." Alaric rushed over to the balcony he could see the lake that the hotel was near and the whole city, "I knew this city was big, but I didn't think it was this big!" Alaric let out a relax sigh, "I wish I didn't have to leave this room yet," he said before he turned around and walked back to his bags, "But sadly I have to get ready." Alaric picked up his duffle bag and through it on the bed, he opened it up and pulled out some clothes. Alaric took off his school uniform and began to change into his other clothes, he didn't want to ruin his uniform during the exam. He put on a white long sleeve shirt, a long trench coat that matched his headband, and a black jeans. After he was changed he walked over to his father sword and pulled it out from its wrapped cloth, "Alright no reason to keep you wrapped up any longer." He took off his trench coat and strapped Mimung on to his lower back, then he put his trench. The trench coat was able to cover the sword to a extent, this way no one can see what kind of sword he had. He then continued by strapping the Trial Sword to his left side and kept it visible to draw more attention to it then the one on his back, he made sure he had Etherlite and the Ring of Orla on him which he did. He slapped his face with both hands to pump himself up, "Its time," he said before he exit his room, into the elevator and out of the hotel. Alaric made his way to the Exorcist Hall, so he can begin the first exam.

┗ Titus Fulbright ┓
► Son of Satan ◄
Exwire || Knight || Berserker || Kurthnaga ||

╔══════════════════════╗

After four hours of sailing, the ship made it to its destination. Hanging Neck Island, Howling City. The young man smiled as the captain of the ship finally stopped talking about dissections of live humans, and he could see the giant wall that held the hidden island city that the group of fifty were supposed to travel to. The young man noticed the storm of students trying to enter the city on the exit pad. Though he did not know how much time he had exactly, he did know that it wasn't enough to idle around and do nothing. However, he was not in a hurry. The group fifty quickly dissipated into a small handful, enough to fit on the exit pad. With that, the young man entered the city.

If there's one thing that the half breed was thankful for, it was his grandparents. They led the Souga family, which although very, very small, had money to spend. And a lot of it. Since they weren't well known, like the Yggdmillennia family, or the Barthomeloi family, they never really got attention, which was a good thing. Though, they have produced quite a few Upper First class exorcists, including Titus' mother. Before her was Titus' grandfather, who ended up becoming an Upper Second Class exorcist. Each had their own minor accolades and achievements, but they still made a lot from working for the Vatican. Because of this, Titus was able to get the money to rent out a room in the hotel listed on the Vatican's message; Kubikukuri. Finding it was the hard part. Almost every single sign was in demon writing in the Howling City, and there were many half demons and demons walking around like it was the thing to do! Titus sighed, wishing that the rest of the world could be like that; For half breeds, at least. Shaking his head, he wandered around, looking for a "luxurious" hotel, but could not find such a thing. The young man did spot a certain Alaric walking into what seemed like a hotel, and followed him in, hoping that the half breed was headed to the right place.

Upon further inspection of the interior of the place, Titus knew it was the place. It was much to vast and fancy for it not to be. The young man was surprised with the long line that awaited him, and held his head, pouting. Waiting was not his strong point, but he would manage.

The young man reached the front of the line, and walked up to the counter. He tried his best to keep his level of surprise to a minimum, and put a smile on his face as the rather tall woman asked him for his information from behind the counter. "True Cross Academy, Exwire, Titus Fulbright." The young man finished his statement as quickly as she went behind the desk and extended to him a card key and a map. Smiling, the half breed thanked the woman after she told him his room number, and went to the elevator to begin his search for the room. It was on the third floor, but he did not really mind where. Regardless of the floor number, he knew that the rooms would be at least a little luxurious. He was not disappointed when he reached his room, and saw how elegant the room was. Nodding his head, he put his suitcase in the middle of the floor, and began to change. After changing, he brought the things he believed were necessary, and then locked up his suitcase and hid it underneath the bed. The Kurikara was in there, and if he lost that, he knew he would be screwed, to say the least.

The door automatically locked behind him as shut the door and headed to the Exorcist Hall, in order to take the first Exam.

Joushi Motisi
| Gentle • Loyal • Respectful |

⭐⭐

• Joushi had disembarked the four hour long ferry ride with smiles and a small gathering of chuckling and merrily chatting Exwires. The tallest of which, a male of pure Chinese descent with a strong stance and confident stride, walked beside Joushi from the top deck with an arm drapped over the pink haired Italian's shoulders. Occaisonally the Chinese Exwire would lean in and whisper something to the Dragoon, nose brushing silken pink strands while thin lips held a mischivious and devilish smirk. Each time the tall male would lean in Joushi would only reply to those whispered words with a hand lifting to delicately hide gently chimes of laughter and whisper something back, head bowed shyly, emerald green eyes peeking up from under long, thick and pale lashes. The black bags Joushi had walked onto the ship with were still hanging from the Italian Beast Charmer's shoulders, the long case on the other side of flirting Chinese male's arm, occaisonally tapping the bared skin from a rolled up black shirt as the two walked, literally side by side, from the deck and down the gang way, only to eventually part once they had reached a cleared portion of the dock. Joushi sweet talked the Chinese teenager and his friends that the pink haired Dragoon had agreed to meet up with teammates before heading in to the town to find their hotel room and then take their first exam together.

Barely an hour in to the ferry ride from the Matou docks Joushi had been surrounded by these same students. The pink haired Dragoon was seated with head lowered, resting on the plush of the padded back pack, knees pulled up, and back leaning against the wall of the cabin, bady facing towards the waves as the position of the sun hid Joushi in the shade. The long case containing the loaded Italian Sniper rifle was leaning against Joushi's side, kept in place by the loose hook of an elbow, both forearms resting on the black jeans covering raised knees. Even with a bowed head and relaxed demeanor Joushi was able to keep an eye on the surrounding deck by gazing through the curtain of pink hair, green eyes hidden to anyone looking. So, as the group of students silently approached Joushi was still aware of them, not allowing the fellow Exwires to take the pink haired Beast Charmer by surprise. Joushi's familiar was still tucked safely under the deep navy blue knitted jumper, her long, serpentine body wrapped and coiled securely around the lean and narrow torso. She was still in in the colour of Joushi's grey shirt, black eyes peering out from the dark depths of one shoulder. Neither Joushi or Kit the Byakko moved as the students approached, green eyes catching the way the group were looking at the Italian's relaxed yet bundled form. The leader was the tall Chinese male, a teenaged Knight and Aria who went by the nickname of Sun. They had walked right up to Joushi and encased the Beast Charmer by encircling with their standing bodies. Joushi waited until they had nearly finished their half circle before stirring, appearing to only just be realising that people had gathered and werenot moving. With a stifled yawn, Joushi looked up, pink hair falling back as green eyes, moist with sleep, gazed up at the small crowd. Taking a second to flicker the emerald gaze around, Joushi spoke with a soft voice.

"Hi..." Joushi greeted, feminine features gathering in as shoulders hunched forward, appearing crowded and scared. "Uhm..." Sun chuckled and knelt down to be at Joushi's eye level, introducing himself.

That was three hours ago and now the Dragoon had found new companions to be friendly with. Of course they believed they had an insight into some of the supposed strongest opponents in this exam, but Joushi had been able to swap intel for intel without them even realising, playing the shy, interested female who found Sun to be a very charming and interesting man.

"Perhaps..." Joushi spoke softly, eyes off to the side, too shy to hold direct eye contact with the taller male. "If we both find each other after the exam we might be able to see the city together? I prefer to eat out, and the company would be nice..." Sun rumbled a low chuckle and agreed, promising to take Joushi somewhere nice. With that they parted ways, the group heading out of the dock area while Joushi remained behind, playing on the pretense of waiting for teammates. Joushi followed soon after, trailing behind some loud talking students who were headed to where Joushi had first decided to travel to - the hotel where exam students were to stay.

Walking down the streets, Joushi found the entire city was flat, its streets logically and cleanly planned into neat districts and intersections. There was nothing haphazard or built on, all seemingly made in one planned sweep. It was... sterile in that way. The place was clean, but its build was so planned that it appeared to lack the usual cultural taste one might expect when walking into a new city. Everything was uniform, flowing designs and buildings into one apparently seamless, and dull, line. Joushi missed the crooked and narrow streets of Japan, of the culture that was embedded into ever plank of wood and roughly hewn building. Even the business district held more character than the main road Joushi was now following along to reach the hotel. There was one thing that did capture Joushi's interest, however, and that was the prominance of demons, disguised, old, young, and in the plain sight of day, roaming the streets and working and buying from food stores and businesses. They appeared to be working coherently with the humans that appeared to live here as well. Strange, interesting, and something Joushi would like to explore learn more of later on, when time and opportunity would allow.

Eventually the small group of emax students Joushi was casually following turned and stopped in front of one of the larger buildings, looking up at the sign and a small piece of paper one was holding before walking in. But only after spotting fellow students leave and confirming with them that this was indeed the right location for examinees. Walking past the group after hearing the all clear, Joushi entered through the grand doors into an even grander lobby. Marble pillars and polished granite were laid tastefully into the bones of the building, brought out by the deep and rich colour of the red curtains that hung in various alcoves. Behind a mahogany desk of the deepest, darkest rose and sheen was a woman of demonic heritage, serving and handing out room passes to each of the students lined up before her. Taking to the line, Joushi silently and patiently followed along until reaching the woman. Joushi gave a smile but spoke before she did, already knowing what she was going to say before spoke, having heard it multiple times before while waiting in line.

"Joushi An Motisi. Exwire of True Cross Academy." The pink haired Dragoon greeted. The woman nodded and checked the name against reservation, working quickly and efficiently before turning to gather a key card and a folded map to hand over to the Italian Beast Charmer. Joushi took the items with a quick but polite thanks before moving to the side and allowing the next student to approach. Instead of heading towards the elevators or stairs to visit the hotel room Joushi instead walked back down the length of the grand lobby to leave. Joushi had only the backpack and sniper rifle case, each containing the valued and customised Italian weapons, along with ammunition and a small comtainor of snacks for the snake shaped Byakko. Exiting the hotel Joushi already had the map unfolded and the currently location found. With a quick glance of the sharp green eyes around the dull surroundings Joushi found the correct orientation and the designation of the next location the pink haired teenager needed to attend in order to properly be enrolled and partake in this exorcist exam.

Palm trees, washing waves and sand abound. Victor sat in a well placed chair under the shade of a tree, looking out to the ocean, watching sailboats pass by. He held a cold drink in his hand and being near sprawled out, he was the image of relaxed. When things looked like they couldn't get any better, someone came to view from the water. A girl was coming out from the water and to the shore. Victor's eyes squinted to see who it was. He then began to look on in awe as he realized it was Alexandria in a bathing suit. Her blonde hair shining in the sun and wet skin glistening under a white and red striped suit. Victor's mouth looked like it was permanently pried open as he watched her come closer and closer. There was a very welcoming look on her face that began more enticing as she neared. Suddenly, Victor felt someone grab his shoulder. He turned to see who was shaking him and saw no one. When he turned back to see Alexandria, she looked different. She was no longer wearing the bathing suit but instead wore her school uniform which was dirty and torn. There was a horrified expression on her bloody face as she looked down to an abdomen torn into by her own sword. Victor awoke in a start, looking like he was about to punch the crewman who was shaking him. The man looked confused but then let him know that he was being left behind. Victor's expression turned from one of anger to surprise as he looked around and got to his feet from where he was sitting. “Balls!” He said aloud as he began to take off after the last few students getting off the platform. I must have fallen asleep somewhere in one of the Captain's stories. Man, what a loon. He thought taking strides through the crowds that walked into the city from the docks. Victor noticed the strange nature of the buildings and signs, realizing their different languages and demonic undertones. He didn't like it and could bet that the whole island was a hub of demonic criminal activity. It was hard enough to cope with that exorcists tamed the demon kind, seeing them walk by made him more than uneasy. Victor was headed for the hotel, checking his watch. He had to check in before a certain time if he was to hold his reservation and his time for the first exam was dwindling. The large, alien-looking building that was the hotel loomed in the distance but was a straight shot ahead. Pushing himself in his run, he reached the main entrance and didn't bother with the attendants at the doors. He swiftly slipped through the doors and looked around to spot the desk. The lobby was not unlike other grand hotels in the US. Although the décor was vaguely roman, the rest of the hotel looked to be fit with all kinds of modern day amenities. He found a woman behind the desk and asked her about his room. She had asked him his name and affiliation and Victor was quick to reply, giving her his ID. After a moment, she provided a key and a map to the city along with directions to the exam hall. Thanking her, he didn't bother to stop by the room. Heading back out the main entrance, he threw up the folded map, holding it by one corner so that it unfolded itself before him. Looking over it briefly, he spotted the exam hall and was grateful to see that it wasn't far from the hotel. Lugging his large backpack with him, he jogged down the immediate street to his destination.

The walk from the Exorcist Hall and to the major section of Howling City wasn’t very long, Ignazio enjoyed the summer feel the island had to offer, he actually thought of this exam as a short term vacation. While they were here, they were excused from taking any normal classes, studying anything that didn’t have to do with exorcism, and most importantly, the people that were around him all knew about the world he lived in. There was no reason to hide himself or his familiars. In a way he was slightly jealous of Lloyd and his familiars. Being able to have such adorable demons at his side at all times in a place like this was like a paradise, it was almost as normal as walking a dog back where they were from. The sun was setting rather rapidly, and after a twenty minute walk through the city Ignazio and Lloyd had reached Homura’s, a buzzing and light jingle came from his right pocket. Ignazio removed his phone and clicked the center before a circular projection came from his phone with the insignia of The Order appeared and soon the circle expanded into a rectangle and a message flashed across the screen. ”Looks like the first exam ended a little early and they’ve already started to grade the exam.” he said with a little excitement behind his voice and he expanded the window so Lloyd could view it with him. As the window expanded he noticed the number of people that passed, he wasn’t too surprised by the material that was on the exam. Ignazio searched for his image and name, once he found his image he tapped on it and his information opened up. ”They don’t just publish the exam scores, the published our records, the basics, but still our records. Look at yours.” he exclaimed as he looked at the information that was published.

There was the name of the tamer, his age, height and weight, and then his meister types as well as his ranking within the Order. Underneath everything were three boxes, one box was filled in with a green light. Ignazio pushed the box and soon it appeared with a large ten. Ignazio closed his eyes and smirked. ”Looks like I passed, now let’s find yours” Ignazio said as he quickly ignored the fact that he didn’t get a single answer wrong on the exam. Ignazio looked for Lloyd’s picture slowly as he passed over other students he remembered seeing on his way to the first exam and even a few of them from the hotel. The tamer even noticed Titus and Alaric’s pictures but still no sign of Lloyd’s ”Do you see yours?” he asked as he continued to look. The heir to the Barthomeloi family couldn’t believe that he was having so much trouble finding the image of his childhood friend. It would have been easier if less people had passed the first examination, but then again, it made sense that so many people passed, a lot of the students entered in as solo rather than as a team, in order to hope for obtaining a teammate for the second or the third exam. It was genius. Actually, this was something that Ignazio was thinking about doing himself. If the first and second exam showed someone with extreme skill and talent from another school he’d easily be able to approach them with a similar goal in mind in order to make his chances of victory in the final round higher. The idea was genius and thought out, as he was pretty good at manipulating people into showing their abilities to him, he’s use that to his advantage in the second exam and even in the third, that way he’d have a chance for a flawless victory.

People began to walk around Ignazio and Lloyd as they stood in the way of the door way and entered Homura’s, the smell of steak and wine leaked through the opening door as well as pasta and a few other types of foods. The fresh herbs and garlic was the first thing that hit the nostrils of Ignazio. ”The best place to eat on this island, and as participants of an exam that puts our life on the line, we’re exempt from the Japanese drinking age, which technically doesn’t exists if your parents give it to you or if you have the money to pay for it. This is exam is pretty much like a vacation for people like us.”

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

Agnès walked slowly among the bustling streets taking in the subtle beauty of the futuristic architecture, rich smells of the markets and interesting sights of outfits and color. Her majestic kirin matching her slow pace. The pale haired woman watched the creature from the corner of her eye, a small smile crossing her lips as she observed the beast parading itself around town- head up high as it made long strides. The wind having picked up just enough to make the long feathery hair of its legs and tail float elegantly; its horn glowing an eerie mythril color. A large shadow loomed not far above; Agnès could feel just from the wyvern’s energy that it wasn’t pleased- hanging unusually low to the ground. Likely trying his best to seem pitiful, he wasn’t fond of skipping meals but the island wasn’t a place Agnès could permit him to hunt on. Atleast, not in the city.

Soon she took a turn down a market street, briefly reading the old wooden signs as she passed them. The crowds had seemed to dissipate as they continued into the market square. It was unsurprising seeing how many of the young exorcists in training didn’t seem capable of reading the common demon tongue- she had seen the confusion on young faces as they attempted to find places to eat or perhaps searching for gifts to take back home. Agnès paused a moment as she sniffed the air, the scent of blood was strong- a butcher couldn’t be far away.
“You smell that..?” She asked the beast as she turned her head to look at the looming shadow above her. The wyvern seemed almost disinterested for a moment, as if he had lost hope that she may ever get around to feeding him. That perhaps he would starve. ‘You are quite a pitiful creature sometimes…’ Agnès thought to herself as her gaze returned to the ground once more, shaking her head at the thought. The wyvern’s head lifted as she spoke, its nostrils flaring to take in the smells of the market, a long pink tongue flicking out into the air to taste for scents, drawing the appendage in to better locate the source of the scent of blood and meat. The creature soon intentionally, but lazily fell to the ground near by- the heavy white body making quite an impact. Agnès leaned against the Kirin that stood firm by her side as the wyvern did this, barely able to keep from falling to the shattered stony ground. Fine grey particles floating up from the ground as the wyvern began to walk awkwardly towards the source of the fine smells. His tail waiving expectantly, forcing those nearby to duck, dodge or generally get out of the way unless they wanted to be sent flying into a nearby building.

Agnès found her footing once more and began to follow the beast down another small alleyway. Only to find the beast practically stuck in a small doorway, struggling to try and fit the girth of his folded wings into the small shop. Small cracks quickly forming on the walls around the doorway. Agnès found herself shaking her head once more as she watched the beast, it was a bit embarrassing his lust for blood and meat was still such a strong and almost uncontrollable urge- even after nearly five years of travel she hadn’t managed to break this uncontrollable craving of his. ‘You’re not going to be able to fit into there An’givare. Get out of the way and I’ll get you something.. Hopefully you haven’t frightened the butcher.’ Agnès told the beast sternly, tapping the toe of her boot impatiently.

The wyvern slowly took a few steps back and out of the small shop before falling to the ground like a spoiled dog waiting on its master. Agnès around the demon and took a few steps into the crumbling shop.
“I hope he didn’t scare you. I’m needing something large.. For him to eat. What do you have?” she asked, her voice conveying a genuine feeling of concern before asking what wares the man had. He looked up with pale grey eyes, his body having quite unusual proportions for a human. But, from what she could sense of his aura- he wasn’t completely human anyways. He spoke gruffly, words hardly intelligible as any spoke human language - something about a cow, a live one. A look of confusion crossed her icy eyes as the man began to walk away towards the back of his shop, he didn’t look back. Agnès stood dumbfounded as she looked back towards the market square, ‘Perhaps he doesn’t speak in any human tongue. Vermeille. What can you smell.’ Agnès asked the majestic white kirin as she awaited the man to make his return. ‘There is a mixture of smells on the wind, master. Manure being the strongest. But I can smell fresh produce as well. You must of stumbled into a agricultural district.’ The deer-like creature responded to its master. ‘What a strange place for one… But then again the city isn’t exactly what it appears. A lot of work was done to make it look more like a city than a free country of mercenaries.’ Agnès replied to the kirin, taking slow steps towards the entrance to the butcher’s shop.

A few moments later the man had returned, leading a rather fat cow towards the dragon who was lazily sunning himself on the square. A silver eye popped open as his nostrils took in the scent of the fattened meat, lifting his head slightly from the ground as the large man left the cow but ten feet away and took his leave. Wandering back down the street he had come from. It didn’t look unlike an offering, Agnès could be sure that cow was likely the man’s best one and to be given to her impatient over-sized lizard for free…? She could only wonder why he would do such a thing, but took little time to consider the possibilities as she ran back into the shop. Pulling out her wallet she put down a small number of large bills- such kindness was to be repaid after all. The amount would allow for several other cows to be imported if that was what the man wanted to use it for.

Taking long strides back to the market square she came to see An’givare up in the air, playfully diving down on his meal- purposefully missing the killing blow. He was a cat with its mouse, enjoying the fun of the game before killing the unlucky victim.
“Shouldn’t play with your food An’givare... We’ve places to go. There is a hotel not far from the main gate, and plenty of grass for you to graze on there, Vermeille.” Agnès said to her companions as she began to lead them further into the market, taking a longer path towards the hotel. Her icy gaze scanning the market stalls for something interesting to eat.
