HORRAY! we in the US can finally enjoy the new Dr Who series that our British counterparts have already been enjoying. It premieres tomorrow night ( Mar 17 ) on Sci-Fi at 9PM Eastern time. I know I will be taping it seeing I will be out being an honorary Irishman celebrating St Patty's Day. LOL

Darn...the Canadian channel that usually carries Doctor Who hasn't said when (or if) the new season will start. I hope it airs soon...

I'm surprised... there seems to be a bit of coverage in mainstream media sources like TV Guide for Dr Who's debut on SciFi. Even more surprising, they're showing both Rose and End of the World back-to-back this Friday. Maybe SciFi really is serious about making the show succeed in the U.S.
Does that mean there's hope that we'll see series 2 right after series 1 ends? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Crumpet Lord Series 2 release date for britain? Anyone? Anyone? no? damn. No official word, but here's speculation by the folks at Outpost Gallifrey: Meanwhile, Outpost Gallifrey has been informed that a press launch for series two is, in fact, scheduled for March 28 in Cardiff. This will likely be another major extravaganza like last year's March debut of "Rose" in Cardiff attended widely by members of the press and used as spot feeds on various morning and news programmes. There were rumors elsewhere that there would be trailers shown this past weekend, which were contrary to what the Outpost has been told about the BBC's press plans this year. A mid-April target date (possibly April 15) for series two's debut, as we first reported was being widely rumored in the press in late 2005, is still very likely.

OH YEAH! Just got done watching the tape of Friday's broadcast. It rocked! Plus I loved the reworking of the classic theme in the opening credits. The Doctor and Rose make a good looking couple. I wonder how long it will take till The Doctor tells her his whole story. Next week's zombie episode looks like a cool one.

I believe that was the Claws of Axos.
On the forthcoming episode on SciFi you'll get to see the acting talents of Eve Myles, who was recently voted as Wales' #1 bachlorette by the Wales on Sunday newspaper.
She plays Gwyneth.
