Name: Gracie Ambroise
Nickname: none
Age: 20
Birthday: September 21st
Sign: Virgo
Gemstone: Sapphire
Blood Type: O+
Fav. Food: Apple anything, sweets
Hated Food: Onions, spicy
School: Destiny City University :: Majoring in - still deciding. between something in psychology to allow her to go into counseling or possibly something that would usher her into non profit organizational work
Hobbies:
Fishing - Her father when he had time to take a break from work and go fishing, he always took his little Gracie with him. Those were special times. As she's started growing up, she's found that past time to be soothing for her. When the world gets to be too much to deal with or she needs to get her thoughts together; chances are she'll take off for a few days into the woods and camp out.
Napping - Gracie does enjoy a good nap. She often gets great opportunities to have a pleasant nap. Some of her choice fishing locations happen to be some that are nice spots to fall asleep at while waiting for a bite. Sometimes, she can even achieve low levels of napping where she's not really sleeping; just resting her eyes. Some of her love of naps stem back to rainy days helping mom and the kids. When the younger ones had to go down for a nap, it was pleasant to take one too, especially when it was raining.
Cooking - She's no Sarah Lee or Wolfgang Puck. Still, she can make some things exceptionally well. She has a great desire to learn how to make more dishes and to make them better. She secretly likes to daydream that one day she'd host a great big fish feast at which most of the courses are prepared with fish and seafood she's personally caught. Though sometimes while imagining what she could be cooking; she's ruined a few dishes. She gained her interest in food from her mother making her help with big family dinners when relatives would come in. Her mother would put on a big feast once or twice a year for their extended families. She'd often need to help. As she got older, she would try to make something extra to add her own flair to the meal. Winter time and cold days are her favorite time to practice and work on fine tuning whatever is her project recipe at the time. She generally tries to stick to cold salads and recipes that don't require a lot of heat during summer.
People Watching - After so many years of watching four siblings and the years of school and watching others, this is the one activity she doesn't mind to do. Probably because it doesn't really require much of her but to just sit and watch. She tries not to be obvious and outright stare. Though from time to time, she has been guilty of doing just that if the scene is dramatic enough. Like, if someone bent over and ripped their pants open, or like if someone had a pail of yuck spill on them that just happened to be sitting on top a door. No, she didn't put that pail there. However, she probably watched who did and just lurked someplace to wait and see what would come of that.
Virtues:
Altruistic -- Gracie has a willingness to help others that is unselfish, whether it be walking someone's dog for them to letting a new stranger in town sleep on her floor for a night. It is her motivation to help others with little things such as minor errands to major home projects at other people's homes. She will always be there for someone, even if she might have something else to do; she would even be there for someone she's holding a grudge against someone for long standing issues if they really needed her. Gracie accepts others for who they are and tries to meet others halfway. She understands that everyone has their own ideas and opinions, their own strengths and weaknesses. She doesn't believe that anyone's ideas or life journey makes them better or worse than anyone else. When she meets someone new, they all get a fair chance to deem themselves worth or unworthy of her time. She always appreciated second chances and being forgiven. She is willing to give that to others; though she expects them to be willing to seek it. She may forgive someone in her heart long before she lets them know it.
Optimistic -- Gracie has a bright outlook on life; she approaches everything hoping for the best. She approaches people and relationships with a sunny side and is all about giving second chances. She deeply hopes for good things to happen to her and others. Any attempts to do new things are done expecting that it will all work out ok, the same can be said when she is faced with a difficult task or goal ahead of her. Her optimism keeps her resilient in the face of negative situations. Even when dealing with people who are unkind or hostile; she believes that there is still good in them; maybe they just need the right person to bring it out of them. Some would even go so far to consider her optimism to be naive and bordering on gullible, but to her, that kind of thinking is just glass half empty.
Perceptive -- From being big sister and substitute mom for the youngest of her siblings to being a wallflower at school who just astutely observed those around her. She'd watch what others said and did. She'd eaves drop on conversations to study the way people said things; the way they'd react. She found it exceptionally interesting the subtle things in people's expressions or reactions to things they would hear. Gracie can often keep to herself while watching a scene unfold in front of her. She can happen on others who carry unseen burdens. Socially, her perceptive abilities help her to gauge who was safe to approach; or if maybe someone needed to just be left alone. In her family, her perceptions allowed her to properly assist her mother running the house as she'd be able to manage the behaviors and misbehaviour of the children. She became rather astute at home to the tendencies of her siblings. The ones who were always into trouble, the ones who were usually quiet. (I would remove this, as you explain in the next sentence. But it’s up to you) It became second nature for her to know if something was off or not right just by observing if they were being themselves. Like farmers who can tell when a storm is coming by the turning of leaves on a tree or the way a crime detective can walk into a crime scene and pick out little things that tell a story.
Flaws:
Trouble With Personal Boundaries -- She has a hard time truly grasping the concept of other people's boundaries. Both personal and otherwise. Personal space is a huge huge issue for her as her touchy feely nature often has her crossing boundaries. Personal space? What's that? Is that what you call when you have to move away if someone passed gas? However, it sometimes also occurs in the form of sharing information that might make others uncomfortable as well as being nosy and looking into things that are none of her business. For most people, it's an obvious thing that there are just certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. For Gracie, she might have not crossed them if she had been able to realize for a whole five minutes it was there to begin with. Most of the time though, she doesn't. This can create awkwardness in her interpersonal relationships and make some people keep her at an arm's length at all times.
Naive -- Since she has so much optimism and eagerness to just up and do things; this often leads to her just rushing head first into situations without taking time to really consider the consequences. A tendency to making too naive of decisions on many things she doesn't know enough about. While some behaviors are more just brash from wanting to get a jump on things; she also tends to be easily tricked when others play up her obvious optimism or altruistic personality.
Jealous -- Never answer a question if it starts with: "Do you love them more then me?" or even if it is "do you like them more than me?" Don't answer. It's a trap; unless you could honestly say no. Otherwise, there'll be a furious backlash. Furthermore, while this is at its worst with lovers; it is also a thing that goes on with friends and very close friends. Her relationships are precious to her, and she doesn't fancy the idea of other people encroaching on those.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: blue
Hair: long dark purple hair that's always up in a high ponytail. always. unless done in a fancy updo or in rare instances left hanging down. this is pretty rare though
Face: her face is mostly proportionate to the rest of her body. Though she has a half thin upper lip with a full bottom lip.
Clothes: white drapey high-low tank top over a black sports bra, light blue jean capris with pockets on the sides just above the knees. wristbands on both wrists with assortment of jelly bracelets and stress bracelets and the ones you get from events. blue and white striped socks that slouch down on top of red converse hi tops.

ATTN: GM's: I am currently not using this part of her quest. Not sure when I will revisit it. For all intents and purposes; i'll only be pursuing her civ portion for now. one day when i have ideas and inspirations; i can work on that.
Senshi: Porrima, Senshi of Optimism Challenge: I know there has to be good in you SOMEWHERE!
Fuku Colour: SENSHI Main Color: white Secondary Color: purple/black if it's ok? a lot of rich dark purples
Fuku: ELEMENTS TO THINK ABOUT FOR SENSHI, FEMALE ((i think some butterflies might be pretty in her design? since they are often seen in some cultures or schools of thought as representative of the spirit))
Collar -- Bow -- Bodice -- Sleeves -- Brooch -- Bottoms -- Tiara -- Choker -- Shoes -- red Gloves -- dark purple Accessories -- Any accessories? Earrings? Jewellry?
rich decadent purple w/ black and white accents.
Attacks: Team Buffs
Sailor Scout Attack: We can do this! Her buff can free an ally from movement effects that prevent them from moving around or forces them to move against their will. If they have no negative effects at the time, their might will be boosted causing their next attack a critical hit. She can do this up to three times per battle. It's an instantaneous effect.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: We can totally beat them! I know we can! Her buff can now effect up to four allies. It not only frees from status effects, but it can block incoming attacks for 10seconds. This can be used twice.
Eternal Sailor Attack: DON'T WORRY! We got this! Same as above but now can hit up to a ten foot radius, and she can buff all allies in that zone. duration still 10seconds.

extra: a little blah blah thing
Gracie is one of my oldest oc's. She started in animal crossing. In recent years, she went to a harvest moon universe. As her muse refuses to be put back into creative storage, I thought adapting and reincarnating her here might be a wise move. At least in moonshop, there's likely to always be new adventures or shenanigans to be had here. so.. i might post some of my fanarts of her previous lives. x3 They nod to who she's been in the past. heart

I'm not staff, but for her powered side: The sphere "optimism" is not really showing up in your attacks. Honestly, if it were up to me, I'd change the sphere to "misdirection" as that is the impression her attacks are giving off. "Optimism" is a rather hard sphere to work with, and unfortunately, it doesn't really show through in your character's attacks.

Ya, I'm not very good with coming up with abilities or naming them. XD haha...
Well, my idea was basically her giving them this sudden burst of optimism? XD but then i was like hmm... that seems like it might work against her... and encourage their attackers. but you know.... if people suddenly had this... vision or different orientation of themselves; people could respond in different ways. and that little time it gives people... could work as a type of distraction.
calling it a misdirection was sort of categorizing the sort of thing it was. like how at tih, they'll call something a headlight or just general overall name of a style of move.
I might look into maybe making her abilities more... defensive/group supporting... like.. maybe is like buffs her parties she's with.

Hello Graceangel! I'm here to help you get Gracie ready to roll. The civ portion looks very good! Nothing to note there. However, for the powered portion... First, a minor thing. Could you make it clearer as to whether you are leaving certain portions of the outfit up to CC (colorist choice) or simply haven't decided them? The bigger problem is that I'm afraid I'm not sure how your attacks represent your sphere. Your choice is to either alter the sphere to fit the attacks or the attacks to fit the sphere. If you choose the former, you could choose something like Misdirection or Distraction. For more optimism I centered attacks, my suggestion is that simple is best. An overwhelming wave of optimism, perhaps? The Eternal attack would have to be slightly different, of course. Basically, the one big thing is adjusting the sphere and/or attacks. Also, don't forget to list the number of uses with the time lengths. And please don't forget to include a link to your senshi's celestial body in your quest! That should be everything. Quote me when you've made changes or if you have questions!

can "abilities" not be attacks at all? and just be like.. healer/buff support magic? like her abilities buff the people she's with? making it a little useless just one on one with someone... and if how many times it can be used per battle.. what's reasonable? i really have like zero concept of what's really legit or reasonable for that sort of thing. the powered side of moonshop leaves me endlessly baffled. XD

XD Not a mod, but I know the answers to some of the questions:
1) Any sort of magic from a senshi HAS to be through the attacks. There are no other ways for a senshi to cast any sort of magic (support or not) without one of their spell-like attacks. In fact, there are plenty of character senshi that have support magic (in example Sailor Harmonia and Sailor Chibi Ellicott). She cannot have special magical "abilities" that are not part of her attacks, UNLESS she transcends and gains extra special abilities (I think. Not that certain about the transcending part. Certain about the rest.).
2) Normally, it is usually 3 casts first stage, 2 casts for the second stage, and 1 cast for the third stage, but the numbers can change depending on the strength of the attack. Duration also depends on the strength of the attack. You don't want a first stage character having as much power attack-wise as a third stage, so don't go overboard with the usage number and time duration.
However, like I said before, I'm not a mod. These are just things I've picked up after a whole lot of character profile and quest stalking.

so essentially, what you're saying is that the attacks and abilities are the same thing... in application.. which is what i was asking about.. since technically... if your "attack" is a support or healing ability, that's not really an attack since defensive play isn't really attacking anything. Sorry. I play a lot of MMO's, so I have my orientation of defensive/offensive abilities think differently. I'm sure the way i write things probably makes it hard too. Before I got my quest at HMUTM approved; the owner got on skype with me and helped me reorganize how i had things written, so it would make more sense and get approved. Or, my quest would have never had been approved. XD haha... writing powered play for me is like walking around in the dark falling and tripping over every uneven spot on the floor. OTL thank goodness Song has been so patient to let me ping her a million questions to have made it this far. XD

XD Abilities can most certainly be heals and buffs, or even debuffs and status effects! And the average number of uses per battle typically follows a 3-2-1 pattern, but some variations can occur depending on the precise form of the attacks. When you make your adjustments, I'll let you know if I think a different number can be used. Quote me when you've made changes, or if you have more questions!

hey.. so for the outfit... i was really wanting something like obviously, her bodice part would need to be white, but something really similar to this, but the colorist could CC and improvise where needed to make it fit? cuz...i really don't know what i wanted for her. she's a pre-existing oc, and her main persona is her civilian self. the powered side can really be open to interpretation, but I think something kind of easy to move around in would work out great. She's really antsy and ready to get on the go. In the heat of a major battle, she would totally be on the move and go wherever she is needed. Definitely a little quirky would be very on fleek with her personality. edit:: i did also tweak her attacks in both name and how they work. xD you wanna let me know if i'm getting closer to something that works well? Thanks. I super appreciate actual guidance.

Just tell your artist that you want a CC outfit (or CC, but with the avatar as inspiration) and they should be able to work with you. As for the attacks... I'm going to have to come back with some alternate suggestions later, but one thing I can say is this: keep in mind that senshi call out their attack names when using them, so you may want to keep the names to the point.

This can be used twice. Eternal Sailor Attack: DON'T WORRY! We got this! Same as above but now can hit up to a ten foot radius, and she can buff all allies in that zone. duration still 10seconds. Okay! Now that I've had a little time to think about this, here are my suggestions. These attacks need to be tweaked a bit still. Attacks that can override others like this might end up being a bit OP, especially if you can override an Eternal's attack at Basic. I advise nixing the freeing effects for now. One major problem is that these attacks still don't reflect the sphere adequately. Senshi attacks can be heavily symbolic in nature, but there still needs to be some sort of connection. Emotion-type spheres typically inflict their emotion on an enemy or ally, though there can be side effects. You can still buff or debuff, but the sphere needs to be there somehow. Your Eternal attack does not need to be different from your Super (though having it be different is common), which is an upgrade of your Basic. I have some ideas: Basic and Super can be an optimism-inflicting attack buff (single-target and multi-target respectively), while Eternal could inflict euphoria on an enemy and debuff them through making them feel too silly to fight well (I know of at least one game that had a "Happy" status effect that basically left targets too busy rolling around laughing to fight consistently). Of course, it can't immobilize them with laughter, but a "high" feeling might work. A note on duration- if you look at other quests, you'll see that 10 seconds is too short for anything, even Chibi senshi (immobilization attacks excepted, but they're a special case). Some suggested durations (for normal senshi; Chibi senshi attacks are significantly shorter) that I see are 25-30-40/45 seconds (these tend to be for heavy hitters with Eternals very different from their Basic and Super) or 30-40-45 seconds. For the attacks I suggested above, I would use 30-35-40 seconds. 30 is good for a basic buff; 35 keeps a multi-target buff from going on for too long, and 40 seems to be about right for a debuff like what was suggested. I also want to give you a heads-up- I'm questing a Porrima too, and if I get her before you do, you'll have to repost your quest under a new name (no need to completely rewrite the profile, just post it under a different name- speaking of which, you still need to link your star name in your profile). You can say it was already approved though and it'll be taken care of (still have to put it up for approval though so we know). Song told me she already told you about this, but I just wanted to make sure you knew. :'D

well i was SUPER on the fence between having her be 20/senshi and 21/knight. like.. BIG TIME..lol. but someone pointed out having a senshi might.. broaden my experiences here. it'd also be something totally new/different for gracie than she's had in other rp experiences/lives as well. lmao.. idk.. i'll prolly just sit on it a while.. all of this makes me feel like the complication of it's really starting to go over my head. =.= i had already made loads of progress getting to where i was. lulz.. I am aware of the name thing. my plan in general was if hte name went; then i'd just tweak her up to a knight or something..lol. i specificially picked that name cuz it wasn't taken and in the virgo constellation. if that's gone, then i'll just start over with a name idea. i'm crazy ocd about names and themes and stuff all meshing and blending together well. and i totally understand. I'll have to think about that power stuff more i guess. I'm gonna have to find a way to make things a bit more simple, so I can remember to know what's going on with it. XD if it gets too complicated; i'll never play her powered side for not wanting to be bothered with remembering how it actually works in play. xD
