This is a PRP between .Tortured. .Pumpkin.'s Haborym and LunaRei_SilverBlood (and .Tortured. .Pumpkin.)'s Lelandi. Dark cloven hooves sunk into loose mud with each step, omitting a loud "thuk!" every time he pulled away from the gunk. Of all of the places he had been searching, this was certainly his least favorite. The jungle was thick and humid, and the bugs simply refused to retreat, even when threatened by his masculine spaded tail. Here, there were creatures he'd never even dreamed of, and though his black eyes were hard of seeing, the colors usually spoke for themselves. So far he'd encountered a snake larger than any he'd ever heard of that was bright yellow, frogs which were equally, if not more vivid, and some rather peculiar-looking birds. Their calls were not of those from the mountains and forests. Instead, they sounded loud and angry, and some of them neighed at him as if they were a horse. How peculiar, indeed. Haborym had been led here after many moons of searching and questioning anyone he could find. It seemed as if not a soul had even heard of his son, and his efforts were fruitless thus far. One mare, however, had suggested the jungle would be an excellent hiding place, and though he had only been here for one short day, Hab didn't doubt her word a bit. The sheer density of the foliage was enough to make one wander in circles for hours without realizing it, and the treetops completely blocked any hopes of aerial visibility. The random bushes and trees barely gave the large stallion room to spread his wings, let alone try to fly beneath the treetops. He scowled as he pushed on through the jungle, grumbling angrily as he used his sharp tail to cut through vines and thick bushes. His horns and hair continually got caught on bushes, and he found it strange that there weren't very many low-hanging branches on these trees, but he was grateful for it. One less thing for him to worry about, anyway. He squinted through the bugs and the seemingly thickening air, unsure of why anyone could possibly want to live out here. To him, it was atrocious, and should he find his son here, he wouldn't think of going back, not even for a second. His breath turned almost to a panting and he stopped for a moment, trying to hear through the caws and the bugs and the screeching that surrounded him. The kalona's disdain for this place was rapidly growing and he glared at everything around him. Surely there had to be water around here somewhere. Real, running water that wasn't stuffed up in the air. The humidity was beginning to collect on his coat, and it made him terribly uncomfortable. His mane, already voluminous, had puffed its way onto both sides of his neck, which only made him feel hotter. He growled lowly and cursed the spirits for bringing him to this dreadful jungle.

The young mare looked about the thick foliage, wondering why it was that she came to this land from the glorious heavens. Her head held high she looked down her snout at the gross, thick, gooey… Stuff, that she would soon learn was called mud. Dirt that was mixed with just enough water to make it wet. Lifting her legs in turn wanting to keep her white fetlocks from dirtying; well that was the hope. But as her dark turquoise eyes glanced down she saw that her efforts were futile. She closed her eyes and had to remember why she here. Lelandi needed to remember that in order for her powers to awaken she would need to pass this test. She had to remain calm and think rationally.
Yes she was lost, but there was always hope. She had wings! She could just fly up… The mare extended her wings and tried to pull herself from the land but to no avail. It was so humid that it was as if the air itself was keeping her grounded. Her hair was swelling up and she felt herself beginning to glisten. But the only way to go was forward. So with a slight bend of her legs and all the might had, the mare leaped a not so far distance to another mound. As she landed her hoof snapped a branch.
She froze in place and glanced about. No one would have heard that, she hadn’t seen anyone since she arrived here days ago. And even if anyone was around, that sound would not travel with how dense the air was… Right?
“I’m here as a rite of passage to become a full Angeni. This is meant to try me.” And it wasn’t that she felt panicked or fear. She needed to remember her purpose. She had no idea that after everything she would go through to regain access to her home in the heavens, a whole other path was being created for her to follow. “What… was that?” She glanced to the side as she saw something dark move along. Was that… a monster? Flashes of bright green crept through the forest’s bushes. The mare held her breath, her heart starting to pound. Angeni were not fighters, she would need to find another way to quell this beast. No need to panic she was confident in herself. She had all the time in the world. That was almost a literal statement. As her breed was known to live well into their 100’s. Yes, patience truly was a virtue she would get that she wanted in due course. The mare took in a deep breath and exhaled. Her inner confidence began to radiate outside her an illusionary glow surrounding her form.

Hab's ears flicked at the numerous noises throughout the jungle, and his eyes narrowed to slits. This seemingly ridiculous effort was proving fruitless, and he snarled at the thought of going through all this for nothing. Just when he was considering barreling through the foliage in an attempt to find a way out, something caused the tell-tale sign of a snapping twig. He grinned and tucked his wings close to his body to make maneuvering toward the sound easier, and he began ducking his head beneath bushes and vines with predatory ease. His nostrils flared and he inhaled a large amount of air in an attempt to smell anything out of the ordinary. Haborym couldn't help but grin when he sensed the familiar scent of another Soquili, and he drooped a wing and slathered a bit of mud on himself with his tail before appearing out of the dense foliage.
The Kalona was fairly well versed at this game, and he stumbled out of the bushes, appearing injured and vulnerable. He looked up at the seemingly glowing mare and groaned slightly before collapsing before her. This trick always seemed to work on others, especially mares. They'd fawn over him and ask him what they could possibly do to help, and he'd have them tend to his every whim. The thought of this nearly caused the stallion to grin, which would have immediately blown his cover, but he controlled himself quite well. He looked up at her again with the most pathetic look he could manage and muttered, "Please. Water. Please!" He coughed and sputtered, and his breathing turned into heavy gasps.
Anyone who didn't know any better would probably think he was dying of an injury of war or some dreadful disease. Either way, any kalona hating individuals would likely relish the moment and try to exploit it, in which instance he'd immediately jump to his feet and fight them off. But this mare didn't seem that way. She seemed pure and innocent, and he figured that using her kindness against her would be easy and maybe even a little bit of fun. In fact, after really examining her, he realized that he'd never quite seen her species before, and he marveled at the thought of what kind of hybrid she could be. What kind of Soquili had four wings? And those were just the ones on her back, she had eight counting the oddities on her hooves and head. His brows furrowed a bit as he couldn't help but stare, trying to imagine what may have created this oddly beautiful creature. Perhaps it was a wind, mixed with the double set of wings a flutter possessed. He decided that this was the most plausible answer, and he settled himself down for her to be able to coddle.

Lelandi jumped back as the stallion came forward looking injured and asking for water. She stared at him wide eyes and lifted one of her hooves. She stood there for a few moments and looked around. Surely he was talking to another horse, right? She glanced at him and then at the water. After looking around she found a piece of bark that would hold water and she dipped it into the fresh clear liquid and she carefully walked her way over to the stallion offering him the bark. Her ears twitching, the jewels that decorated her body tinkling as she moved toward him.
She noticed that he was covered in mud, had he been in some kind of a fight? She wasn’t to sure if this was a safe thing to do but as an Angeni she had to show kindness equally right? The shorter strands of white hair fell across her nose and blocked her view a little bit. Her wings fluttered before pulling in against herself. Why of all of the horses had this stallion found her. He was dark and bright green… Not exactly the most attractive of stallions she’s seen. But those leathery wings… She shivered as they made her thing of those creatures of the night. And that tail! What about those green horns. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. She believed in how judging a book by its cover was wrong. But he did look rather intimidating now that she was closer to him.
She leaned in to make sure that the water made it to his mouth. Lelandi came to the realization that she was frightened of this stallion, which was something very new to her. She had never been scared of another horse before but she had also never met a ‘bad’ horse. So this must have been her task. Maybe she was do something with this stallion one that would test her on multiple ways? Something seemed to be ailing him so it would make sense that this was part of what she needed to do. Show that was capable of this, of helping someone that others might not help. But it was just as that thought came to her that she saw the collar on his next holding something…
It was a unicorn’s horn. She gasped around the bark, almost dropping it and the water. Her mind went straight for the worst case scenario even though that might now have been the case, but someone so scary looking… She gritted her teeth, she would reform this stallion! She didn’t know how but this task that was set in front of her she would accept and use her virtue to bring this stallion to the side of light and love!
