She appeared silently, watching the world with black and yellow eyes that looked at nothing and everything. Her skin was rough and raw from harsh sand and blistering sun with twisting pulsating bleeding grays of grays of Insanity that smoked and crackled silently.

"Have you seen my sister?" The question swayed gently back and forth as it hung from its own noose, the Horseman's head tilted to one side in thought. "My friends say she was here but I can't find her. My fr̨iend̶s͡ can help you, if you want." Her eyes dim as she finally focuses and notices the life around her.

Hands that were claws but hands were held out beseechingly. Begging. "I just need a bit of your Fear. It won't hurt. It won't take that much. I just need to borrow it. Maybe I'll find her. I just need to borrow some of your strength. My friends give me strength but even with them if I can't find her then maybe with a bit of You helping then maybe I can find her..."

The OOC

OPTIONAL: I've Made a New Friend

This strange horsemen is offering to let you borrow one of her friends for the duration of the event. When summoned, a large ridable Insanity monster is now your BFF. This Insanity monster will protect you and attack with you (+2 to all regular attacks, -2 dmg from all attacks). Once it dies, however, you need to sacrifice some of your own HP to bring it back. Once the event ends, it will disappear.

HOWEVER:
Your character's HP will drop by 10 for the rest of event. Do you normally have 40/40 HP? Until the event ends you're at 30/30 HP. It will not return to 40/40 until the entire event ends. Even if your character dies this value will not reset.

IN ADDITION:
The Imaginary Insanity friend can be healed. If it dies, you can sacrifice 5 HP to bring it back to life. Your HP will temporarily drop by 5 for the rest of the event. Even if your character dies, this value will not reset.

ON THE FLIPSIDE:
You can design your Insanity Friend however you'd like. You can even ride it. It won't follow you home though.

OOC Tag Suggestion

Imaginary Friend HP: 20/20
HP: ##/##
Buff: Imaginary Friend - +2 to regular attacks. In addition, reduce 2 dmg from all attacks. Damage is subtracted first from the Friend's HP, then the summoner's.

Well this was something Shaheen hadn't encountered before. No, she would have remembered it if she had, this woman who just seemed to have appeared from nowhere, perhaps simply having risen out of the sand on the backs of thousands of scrambling centipedes. Who really knew with those mysterious ones of famine? Or so, she assumed that this one was of famine.....

What instantly caught Shaheen's attention first, and kept it, was that this woman who asked about her sister was obviously afflicted. This instantly gave the war chieftain a strong sense of empathy for the other.

So she approached her, silently, eyes of glowing gold and black locking on to those of the mysterious woman's. "I do not know. Perhaps, if I knew her name...." Her voice trailed off as the other continued, and Shaheen had to wonder just how far gone she might already be, and whether it was even worth her time to be stopping here now. She had work to do, after all. She shouldn't be here, chattering away......

Wings came to fold around her, hugging against Shaheen's shoulders as she stepped closer still, head tilting to the side slightly as the woman held out clawed hands towards her. It was Fear that she wanted? Again, Shaheen hesitated, because in a time like this, she should have been keeping her strength up, not giving it away....

But those yellow and black eyes. Those crags of grey across her skin.

"Of course I will help you." She gave in, and held out her hand. "Take what you think you will need, but do not take it all. I have work to do as well."

When the process was finished, the war chieftain certainly felt weaker then she had before, and fell a few steps back. Flexing the fingers of her hand, she held her arm against her chest, staring back at the woman with eyes gone momentarily dulled before saying, in a quiet tone of voice. "I hope you find what you are looking fo---"

Before she could finish, something large seemed to simply burst out of the ground, much like the insanity titan she had faced, rearing up beside her, it's body mottled grey as fog rolled off of it in wispy tendrils, eyes glowing yellow.

It was the insanity death star.

It was a giant...insanity...lizard...thing.

She thought at first that it meant to attack, and in an instant Shaheen's blade was in her hand, but all it did was stand there, looking back at her, with a tendril like tongue that flicked out and back into it's mouth.

With a small, startled shake of her head and raised eyebrows, she turned back to the woman. "I hope you find what you seek." She finished, before backing slowly away.

It seemed that the creature of insanity was to follow. Stopping, she frowned slightly, and held out her hand towards it, placing her palm upon it's nose.

Was this....one of the friends the other had spoken about? If that was true then she had said something about it lending her help. Experimentally, Shaheen moved around it, trailing her fingers across it's crackling grey torso, against the ridges and bumps across it's scaly hide, until she stood directly at it's side.

It didn't move. It didn't attack, and it didn't try to get away. In fact, unless he was imagining things, it seemed to lean towards her, and down, as if enticing her, urging her to climb up aboard.

How could she refuse? With wings spanning out behind, she hoisted herself up onto the creatures mount with the ease of one who has ridden many times before, though her own lioness mount was a far cry different from this remarkable being. Leaning down to pat it against the side of it's neck, a large grin split Shaheen's face, her teeth a bright flash of white against a dark tan.

It was so very much worth the price she had paid.

The horseman hugged herself as Shaheen's Fear seeped into her, tattered wings creaking and smoking and hissing and burning as they shifted on her hips.

As Shaheen began to back away, the horseman looked up. Jumped. "R-Radha...?" Her lips mouthed a word before her taloned hands rose, claws pressing into bleeding lips as her gaze dropped to the floor. "...I'm sorry."

She didn't move as the War Chieftan left, remaining as still as a statue.

She seemed familiar. Maybe it was simply because Shik recalled a War-Sister who had once longed to find her family, long ago when they were still The Lost, still scrabbling to regain their balance after the crushing blow against their homes. Maybe he was starting to feel like he knew a piece of each infected horsemen thanks to his time with Shaheen, actually remembering what sympathy was like. Or perhaps this was concern, knowing full well that too much placed on her shoulders could result in the same rambling desperation. It was sobering and revolting and infuriating at once, a strong reminder of who they fought for and why.

But Shik held reservations nevertheless about handing off some of his Fear just like that. He watched Shaheen's interactions from afar, letting the women have their space and remaining still until the sudden appearance of the beast startled him. He was aware Insanity mounts existed, having had the ability to summon a large worm-like mount back when they had been taking down titans, but he did not know that this horsemen had the power to grant them ones as well . . . And he had to wonder what exactly had happened in order for her to receive that power.

But power it was, and in the face of growing adversity, he understood that sacrifices had to be made to assure their efforts had not been in vain. He nodded a once to Shaheen in passing before making his way over, wings folded over him like a cloak. There was no preamble for him as he extended his hand out for her to do what she needed to make the exchange, eyes somber and resolute.

She appeared statue-esque, but that didn't matter; time waited for no-one. "Take what you deem appropriate. There is no need for an apology." It was the way life simply was. As his Fear was drained, Shik's jaw clenched and the muscles in his legs tensed to keep him up, but he otherwise did not waver. What was one more trade for power in their little conquest? Medea--and he and Shaheen by extension--needed every edge they could get.

In Shik's case it was not a draconic mount that slithered from the depths but something with far too many teeth in a far too large: a large land shark unearthed itself, beady yellow eyes narrowed and bristly skin surprisingly rough to the touch. It was not the familiar bear mount, but it would do nicely.

Still, his brow furrowed some as he turned back to the infected horseman. "What happened to you?"

Shik's words caused the horseman to visibly jolt, her own tatteredsmoking wings unfurling wide before snapping shut tightly against her body. She looked hesitantly up at him, then away, then back and away and back before finally reaching up to take his Fear.

As Shik turned to look at her again, she shrank back and looked away. "... L-Lost."

Yves wondered briefly if the other Horseman was a construct of the tower alike the voices he had encountered earlier in the Corridor of Madness. Her appearance wasn't like anything he had ever seen and he would be loathed to think that she could possibly be someone he knew back when the clans were still separated from one another. He had been about to avoid her when her plea for assistance to locate her sister reached his ears. It tugged at his heartstrings and it felt as if his heart had stopped in his chest right there and then. He couldn't be as heartless as to ignore that now could he?

Approaching her cautiously, he glanced at the Insanity Land Shark that was Shik's in exchange for his assistance, standing next to the Elder Horseman before he stretched out an arm to her. "I too am here to help if you still need more Fear." He gave a grunt when he felt his strength leave him as a result of the loss of his Fear. It wasn't as bad as he had expected it to be really. Somewhat like running around with a touch of lightheadedness from a mild case of the flu.

He felt something lightly bump his hand, demanding his attention, his gaze shifting to the curious looking Insanity creature that looked like a really big scorpion around the size of a horse with the beak of an eagle, crab-like claws and a stinging tail that was offered in return for the help rendered. Seemed like a rather small price to pay on his part in exchange for this. "I hope you'll find your sister soon." Getting onto the back of the Sandwalker, he turned to see if Shik was going to do likewise or linger for awhile longer.
