 Xan's eyes were closed as he listened to the sounds around him. Taking a deep breath in and held it for a moment before slowly letting it out. He curled closer to his mate with a warm nuzzle. He adored cuddles. A cuddle-bug his lifemate enjoyed calling him. Xan was about to pull Nathi closer but then thought against it just in case she was tired.
Things appeared to be changing in the clan and he knew nothing about what was going on sadly. He tended to live life day by day which to some would be considered not of the good. Maybe he should talk to the head of the wolf clan about the issues his clan faced. That would be the smart thing to do... but first maybe finding something to hunt would be good for him and his Nathi.

Padding away from her dear Kaito, Tivoli had an odd feeling holed up deep within her. Things had been odd recently in her clan, and it seemed like so many others felt the same way. The only problem was, at this point, no one really knew why they felt so strange. It was like an aura had sunk over the clan and everyone just remained in the shadows.
Shaking her head, she tried to push all of the concern and ill-feelings out of her mind; it was quite out-of-character for her to be so hung-up on a feeling other than joy, and she knew she'd only worry Kaito if she let it persist. Something was needed to distract her - a hunt, a stroll, something - which was why she found her paws leading her towards whatever distraction she could find.

After a quiet groan-stretch Xan bent down to gently lay a kiss on his sleeping mates forehead and then he headed into the wilds of Ela. Looking left and right he tried to find a location that he knew had plenty of prey. He was feeling extra hungry today for some reason. As he made his way around he nodded to a few of his new clan members and they returned the nod with a nod of their own. It felt weird going from bird clan to wolf clan but he did it for his new lifemate who made everything worth it.
As he walked he wonder if the wolf clan problems would lead to the other clans... he hoped not. A grim expression flitted across his muzzle at the thought of war or something horrible. Something bright yellow caught his attention off to the left. Oh, company. Wonder if she is a passing rogue or a clan member. Rogues tended to pass by every once in a while. Heck he was one himself at one point. "Heya! S'up?" He greeted the female cheerfully and warmly.

Slowing to a stop, Tivoli looked down at her paws, watching as she flexed her claws in the soft dirt. She felt a bit better, but this brief stroll was definitely not enough to clear her head. A hunt might do the trick, but she didn't want to just kill senselessly, especially since she and Kaito had eaten so recently.
Bringing her eyes up, she noticed just how far from her clan she had gotten. It felt a bit lonely out here, and she actually thought about turning back and just putting on a smile until she felt more at ease again. She knew things would become clearer soon, and she also knew that her clan would stick together no matter what; but, she was already out here, so might as well try to feel better now.
Hearing someone call out to her, her ears swiveled around, her green eyes quickly following. It was a male, and he seemed to have come from the direction of her clan, but she couldn't be absolutely sure. "Oh, hi there." A small smile formed on her face, and she hoped that he was a wolf like her.

"Nice day huh? Seems like plenty of sun headed our way for now." Xan paused a respective distance away before continuing to talk. He certainly could be a gabber. "Are you a rogue? Or are you part of Ela? If so which clan? I'm from the wolf clan. Just recently, I married into the wolf clan as I was once part of the bird clan. Which at first was somewhat daunting BUT I'm glad I went cause well... love." He paused to look awkwardly at the female before continuing. "Um, I'm Xanaris by the way. Whatcha up too?"

"Oh...yeah, it definitely seems that way." Bringing her eyes up towards the sky, she hadn't really noticed the weather today; it was lovely, and here all she could think about was some odd feeling. Sliding her eyes back to the male, she called out to him again. "A rogue? Oh no, I'm from the wolf clan as well." She couldn't help but laugh; two wolf clan members and they didn't recognize each other at all. Well, it could sometimes be hard to know every member, especially for a lion that wasn't born into the pride. Taking a closer look at the male, she thought that he must be like her - a former rogue - just because of the lack of tattoos across his pelt. It was such a sacred ritual, and because most incoming rogues didn't have their experiences in adolescence within the pride, only certain things could be painted on them. Tivoli had always loved the ritual, and smiled at the idea that her cubs would someday have that experience.
"Oh, I see." Coming a little closer to the male, now it made sense why she didn't recognize him. A recent marriage would definitely mean a fresh start for him here. "Well, congratulations!" Another broad smile slid across her face. "Love is a wonderful thing. Welcome to the wolf clan; I'm Tivoli." Dipping her head slightly, this encounter had already lightened her spirits. "I was just..." Looking around for a moment, she wasn't really sure anymore. "...well, I was just out for a slight stroll, I suppose."

"Oh neat! Seems like I'm meeting everyone from wolf. Nice, like a big'ol family." He rocked his body back and forth for a moment. "I've been trying to get tatts for a long while, same as my lifemate, it seems like they are hard to get and I really need to find the area with the leather satchel. They seem useful enough or so I've been shown." Xan switched tracks and went back to what the female was saying. "Thanks!" He beamed at her congratulatory words. "It certainly feels like it." They were still in the honeymoon phase afterall but Xan was a one male type and he could see himself spending the rest of his life with Nathifa.
"Pretty name Tivoli, what's it mean?" He tilted his head and his stomach rumbled reminding him of his duty to it and his mate. "Huh, wanna join me on a hunt? I gotta get something for me and the mate who is sleeping still. If you don't wanna join I understand." He grinned.

"It is really nice." She adored the family aspect of her clan, grateful more and more each day that she belonged here. "I can't say I've ever met anyone from the Bird clan, though. Is your former clan different from ours?" She was pretty curious; it had been during the Sky Festival that she and Kaito had come here, and so soon after they had been whisked off to join their brothers and sisters in the wolf clan. There were, of course, rumors that always floated around regarding each clan, but she didn't want to believe hearsay.
"Why thank you!" His name was quite interesting, but then again, hers was probably a little stranger. "I'm not quite sure what it means - my mother lead an interesting life, so it could be from anything." In all her life, she hadn't really heard many names that sounded quite like hers, she assumed it was something from a far-off land, but it really could have been random sounds that sounded pleasant when put together. "Does yours have a specific meaning?" She thought she should at least ask, in case it was something he had pride in - or maybe his name was from a far-off land.
"I guess I could; I don't really need any food right now, and I wouldn't mind helping you at all." Giving him a grin, this could give her a way to not 'senselessly kill.'

Woot! He had someone to keep him company now, it was better sometimes to have another watch your back. Pride life at one of its finest moments. "To be honest," He moved around a stump as he wandered to the hunting grounds. " I wasn't in the Bird Clan long, but there are some differences. Not too big though which is understandable seeing as we are all under different sections." Ducking a tree he continued speaking. "Oh I see, that's nice that your mom led an interesting life. The best life is an interesting one~ Hmm, no. No my name doesn't have a specific meaning. It just is. You know?"
Xan paused and looked around. "Looks like we are here Tivoli. Let us be lucky in finding some food!"

"Yeah, I suppose." Tivoli couldn't help but laugh; this male seemed like he really liked to talk. Not that she didn't, or that she minded it, but she was so used to males who went for the 'silent and stoic' role that this male was fairly refreshing. She reminded her a bit of her Kaito.
Padding along behind him, she wondered how much help she'd be in a hunt. She hadn't gone hunting by herself in a long while, and she's never assisted in anyone else's hunt before; part of her worried that she would mess something up, especially when he needed to find food for his mate.
"Yes, I hope we do find something." Nodding at him, her tail swayed slowly behind her; hopefully they could find something out here. At the very least, his company was greatly helping to ease her nerves and remind her just how strong their clan was as a family.

"Yeah!" He enthused just before tripping on a stone and catching himself before he could face plant not even embarrassed one bit. Graceful he was not, but that wouldn't stop him. "I'm sure we will! Shouldn't be much further just have to get into position and let those huntery juices follow~ then BAM!" He shouted while hopping in the air. "Take down and then food~" He licked his lips at the thought of rabbit or something meaty.
Twenty minutes of so later of hopping, jumping, failing, falling Xan and his companion had two dead rabbits. He nodded his thanks enthusiastically at his new acquaintance as both rabbit currently hung from his mouth. "Fanks ffothr va heep." The words 'thanks for the help' were distorted a bit thanks to the deadness. He waved a farewell of thanks and seeya later before wandering home. He would have to tell his mate about how he came across hunting help.
