If the first dice you roll is 1 or 6, you have encountered a MOB. It can take any shape or form (of insects), so the person who rolled it can describe the creature. It has 40 HP and does the second dice's worth of damage damage (ie roll 1,3 and you find a bug that does 3 auto damage). Use normal battle mechanics to take it out, you do not need to rp out the battle after your first initial battle post. Once you have, this quest is considered COMPLETED.
- If you have started this quest prior to the update, just make a mob post to determine its auto damage. Use that for the duration of the quest.
He shivered at the thought, but tried to keep his discomfort down in the presence of those around him. So far, he and Rin had been in great luck. Not even Otto had argued with joining them, which was still surprising to Melvin, and Rep and Harrison had soon found them and agreed to join. Since they were here on specific orders to do their tasks, Melvin just wanted to get done and go back home. Whatever was going on, he just wanted to do his part and get to a portal while they were still up and working. It was lucky that Rin and Melvin, both Lifers, could have some Suns and a Moon on their side.
Looking at the tasks, he decided that since they were armed with 2 suns, it was best to do the heavy and least desirable work first. “We need to head out and kill any insanity creature we spot.” He informed them, looking over the paper with the report and then adjusting the gear they were given. They were given their direction son where to scout, and headed out.
It was………so hot. He wished he brought water with him. He already took off his scarf to set in his pocket, and took off his sweater seconds after arriving. It was folded and tied about his waist under his jacket. Just his luck that they never got called into any place colder.

It was just a job to do. No use whining about it. Bad mood, sleepy, or whatever else; the end result was to get it done and get out.
Otto sluggishly moved about ahead, keeping an eye out for anything crawling in the sand. Sure enough, a large scorpion the size of a school bus burst through the sands far up ahead.
"Oh boy." He mumbled sleepily. At least they didn't have to go very far.

The moment the creature burst forth and descended upon Otto, Rin released Melvin, summoned Byr, and was already ahead of the sun hunter. She swung her axe to deflect a pincer as it sought to knock the sun hunter over. The pincer reared back with an audible clank that seemed to startle the creature.

Harrison tensed up at something large and Sahara-y coming towards them (in spite of Rep's promises that naw, this was nowhere near the Sahara) and he was still severely concerned that they were going to have to fix a rip in space-time.
He was derailed by a set of question. Was that a bug? Does it count as a bug? Scorpions are sort of bugs.
Whatever its a** was, it was not a small swarm of organ-eating mind puppet masters. Just a monster. Which he could deal with. Unless it was full of tiny organ-eating babies, and when they hit it-
Harrison blocked anything ******** ever from coming near a large range of anyone close to him.

Rep summoned Tracey with practiced ease and surveyed his small harem of attractive blondes. Sure, there was a scorpion, but it really didn't have a ******** snowflake's chance in hell of withstanding a group this size with the credentials they all possessed. As always he hung back letting Harrison field the initial attention, swinging Tracey at long range to clip one of the monsters huge ... whatever the ******** they were called he couldn't remember for the life of him. Pinchy bits. Either way it wouldn't be using them on them, not while the ******** streak of pink lightning next to him was fending it back.
"I swear to ******** if you shoot me by accident Melvin, so help me." he snapped. "You too, frisbee king."

Everyone took their positions. Rep and Otto moved up front, already up for attacking. Rin moved along the side, protecting Otto, and Harrision moved to protect Rep and - him?
Melvin was prepared to protect Harrision, but with both Rin and Harrision already guaridng, guarding someoen already defending was a bit much.
His eyes went to the large scorpion above them. For whatever reason, one big target was better than many small ones. You didn't feel as surronded, covered, by one massive thing when you could see all the gaps between it's many legs to escape. It was also less slimy, though he felt a bit ill looking at it's mandibles as it moved towards them, and previous thoughts of it being not that bad were taken over by the fact he was still in a bug valley fighting a giant scorpion.
Raising Saliva, he aimed and then shot a look to Rep."Hey! I've been getting better." He nearly pouted, and fired before giving a "HAH!" in Rep's direction. SEE! SEE! He could hit things.
Whoa there, cowboy. It's the size of a barn. Don't go patting yourself on the back for that. Try aiming for an eye and then we'll talk.
Okay, I'll get the eye next time. Then you owe me a compliment. He huffed, feeling suddenly humbled for what minor victory he got.

Otto stepped back as Rin covered him, spinning Tenya's form over his head until she was nothing but a blur. With a gruff grunt, he let her go, the large boomerang crashing through one of the bug's legs and coming back to Otto's waiting grasp.

The creature reared back with a roar before its tail came craning over its head and the sharp stinger swung in for a target. Rin denied it this source of retribution by hooking the stinger with Byr's blade and pulling as hard as she could until it shot back behind the massive thing and crashed against the ground behind it.

One enormous claw reached through, enough to lightly sort of brush both Rep and Melvin a little bit.
It may have been confused by Rep's touch earlier.

Well Rep was apparently ******** done touching anything for now. He'd consigned himself out of range of the scorpion which clearly didn't really want to kill them at all instead just wanted to touch them, and decided to watch Team Blonde as ******** do their shining work.

The brushing was all that was needed. The scorpion had gotten to close to him, and he tensed up, bringing his arms and gun close to him as the disgusting limb brushed against him.
ew.EW. EWEWEWEWEWEW!!!!!!
He refrained from flailing his hands, and instead pointed his gun right at the face of the giant, armored insect. Range was not a problem for Melvin as it was for Rep, and he fired right at it.
He just hoped it didn't spray stuff once it was killed. He really didn't need that.
It was ...so gross.

Otto was running up to swing at the creature using Tenya like a bat. However, he got a face full of goo thanks to the splash back from Melvin's attack on the creatures face.
He barely nicked the bug, too busy sputtering in an attempt to get any scorpion eye ball off his face.

Otto got bug brains all over his face. Rin tried to keep defending strong but she just... couldn't.. stop... laughing. There was even a mandible caught in Otto's hair. It was the best.

Harrison got the bug splash too.
It was like, Rep's artifact only about 100x worse. There was water, and then there was crackly ichor insides mixed with Melvin's fear.
"Rep," he sputtered, wiping his face on his sleeve so he could see, "get your a** in here."

"Aww but it was like a ******** mud fight but with bug guts." Rep said, before with indignant grace moving back into mid-range and twisting Tracey just so that more horrific ichor was splattered over anyone unfortunate enough to get in range of the ******** cleave.
