Upon first stepping through the portal and into the desert, Nim realized there were very little visual markers to tell her where to go. Aside from the occassional unique rock, it was all sand and dunes and brown. She looked down to Cirrus with a bit of worry. "I'm not really sure how we're supposed to find this person."
Cirrus looked up in full despair as his hooves sank into the sand with every step her took. Clearly he was more concerned about just making it out of the desert without sinking. Ponies weren't build for this.
Nim followed behind him, keeping at eye out for the reaper they were supposed to deliver to, but there was no sign of them.

There, in the distance, Nim was sure she saw a dark figure. She rushed forward, leaving Cirrus in her dust, and approached the reaper with the package held tightly to her chest. The woman was dark skinned and draped in thin fabrics that seemed to be shielding her from the intense sun, and she was using her weapon as a walking stick.
"I think this is for you!" Nim said, thrusting the package forward. The woman took it and opened it immediately. A long, looong paper tumbled from her hands down to the sand, marked the entire way with tiny handwriting. She hummed thoughtfully. "Yes, I'll need to read this over..."
That.. sounded like it was going to take a long time. Nim fidgeting and then pointed her thumb back in the direction of the portal. "Well, I was just delivering it soooo I'm gonna go..."
She rushed off with her familiar before the reaper could argue.
