Today was a day.
Yep that was Bass first thing when he comes out of recharging at only half charged. Captain of the facts. Captain obvious.
He took a deep breath as he came back online, eyes opening to find the curtains not open, the door open though and he turned to look at the a*****e who was on his arm. If he were a fleshbag that would be devastatingly painful, probably. What with their blood supply and all that. For Bass it wasn't an issue, but it was hell of annoying once he realized he needed that arm to go close the door.
Last night came back to him, and Bass just kind of looked at the blue eared, no glasses bot and shifted to spoon against him, wrapping his free arm around the other's waist.
And no, that wasn't a purr coming from him. Wily forgot to tighten something.

But Bass, your arm was so comfortable. At some point Proto had grabbed into the thing and pulled it into some strange sort of hug. It had been comforting, or something, and he had stayed that way through the night.
Now though, something was shifting around him and a noise reached his ears. It wasn't an unpleasant noise either, but it still managed to rouse him from recharge. Ears flicked as Proto's eyes opened.
....Huh. This...was new. Usually he woke up curled up in his cot alone, or on some occasions being kicked out of it should Bass be in one of his moods. Wrapped in an embrace was not a way Proto was used to waking up, and for a second he tensed. But then the memory of last night came back to him and he relaxed again.
"....So, see you haven't gotten sick of me being in your bed just yet." Proto snorted, shifting a bit to glance back at the other.

"Don't ruin it, Blues," came a mumbled reply. He was obviously still so tired. Bass didn't recharge every day and the events of the last few days were catching up to him hard. "You do and you go into the b***h Corner."
The threat was actually empty for once. He had no intentions of kicking Proto out of bed. He was a good source of warmth and fairly comfortable, even given his awkward arm position. Bass just stayed like this, chin on Proto's head and then shifted to blindly grope around for that blanket that he always either forgot or kicked off until he woke up enough to remember it. Finding it somewhere near his feet, he used his tail to pick it up enough to bring it to his fingers to grasp and then pulled it over him and Proto like some kind of child before just going still.
"Not even charged halfway."

"Oh no, not the b***h Corner. Clearly that is just the worst punishment. I'll be on my best behavior." Proto seemed tired too. He made it a habit of recharging more often than Bass, but there were times his core just couldn't seem to hold a charge. Today was just one of those days. Which was fine, if Bass didn't want to get up then quite frankly he didn't want to get up either.
The blanket being pulled around him only seemed to confirm that fact.
"Go back to sleep then, I'm not going anywhere. Not even if you wanted me to."

"What does that even mean?" He sighed at that and just pulled Proto closer to him, resting hand on the other's stomach and just made a protesting noise. Bass didn't want to think. Thinking sucked and he was tired and he just wanted to stay warm and lazy.
"Remind me to con Wily into giving me a supply of E-Tanks in my room."
Because walking to get them when he was like this was more trouble than it was worth.
God, he hated mornings.

"It means you're stuck with me, and that you're tired, so go back to sleep." Proto settled as the other pulled him closer, shutting his own eyes again.
"...Yeah. Yeah that'd be good. We'll get you an E-tank supply even if Wily isn't up to the idea. I'm sure we can boss some of the others into helping us."
It was good to be a general sometimes.

"I did say con."
Sometimes conning and Wily went hand in hand, especially if he needed something.
Bass yawned against Proto's hair and just made a discontent noise before tangling his legs with his co-general's and getting as comfortable as botly possible. He nuzzled into that hair now and purred louder, much louder than before and just let himself slowly drift back.
If Proto talked again Bass was going to punch him. ..Weakly but with intention to harm.

Considering Joe's last foray in the tower, a second might not have seemed the smartest thing to do, but the young rebel would not be deterred. He was going to find some dirt on Wily if it killed him. Through some skillful use of his Sniper disguise, standing silently at the back of an elevator, he'd managed to make it to the upper floors of the tower. Strolling down a long hallway, he noticed a door slightly ajar. Beyond, he could see only darkness. Just what he'd been looking for. Surely there was no robot masters lurking on the other side of this door! Glancing about the hall a final time, the "Sniper" slipped into the darkened room and looked about, trying to make out it's contents in the nearly pitch black darkness. A hand fumbled against the wall, making small bumping and shuffling noses. Where the heck was the light switch?

Proto hadn't spoken again, instead he had let himself drift back into recharge with Bass' loud purrs. There he remained....until the noise of something fumbling in the room brought him back out of recharge.
What the heck was that?
The red bot's eyes snapped back open, thankfully meeting the darkness and not the blinding light. The first hint that something was amiss in this room was the faintest bit of a blue glow from Proto's eyes. He snorted, shifting to pull himself from Bass and sit up.

Bumping and shuffling wasn't normal. Proto's eyes glowed and Bass knew recharging was over for now. With a noise, he grabbed Proto's shades, put them on and he just waited for that light to come on. This was going to go one of two ways. If this was a Robot Master, Bass was just going to scream at them to go away. If it was Wily, well... A punch was getting thrown.
"Whoever that is better just turn around and leave." He was completely serious and was already starting to push Proto off the bed. He didn't keep grenades near his bed, okay. What if one of them went off while he was recharing?
THAT would be horrible. A world without Bass just wasn't a world anyone needed to live in.

Joe's fumbling fingers found the light switch, flipping it on just as a voice spoke from the darkness. Oh....s**t. His single eyed helmet snapped to the bed as the two generals were illuminated. EEEHH??? Was that..a bed...that they'd been in....together??? Either Wily was somehow lacking in space in this enormous tower or he'd just walked in on something very awkward. If the sight of two dangerous (and possibly cuddling) robot masters hadn't already frozen him, the recognition of one of them would have. How did he keep running INTO this guy?!?!?!?!

Well, Proto's glasses were back on his face. This was good, especially for when the lights snapped on. A second later, Proto found himself shoved quite clearly -off- the bed and hitting the floor with a small yelp. DAMNIT Bass, was that -really- necessary?! And if it was could you have at least shoved him off the side where his cot was?!
Damnit.
Fur bristling, Proto scrambled to his feet and growled over at the Sniper. ...He wasn't a very terrifying sight, clothed only in his glasses, scarf, and boxers. Hell, from all this cuddling his hair was sticking in more strange directions than usual.
But there was a scowl on his face as he continued to growl.

The lights flicked on and Bass let out an annoyed growl and he just stared at the figure in the door way and he squinted. Okay, light was stupid and why was it a thing in his room? He came here to recharge. Lights in the recharging room was a bad idea.
Then Proto started growling and all but hissing at the one in the room and he just kicked his leg a little. So intimidating in his form of dress. At least Bass adjusted his mask back over his face. "....And you found your way to this high in the tower, how?" He asked, standing up now, grabbing for a rifle he kept close by his bed.
Well, Proto didn't like him so it was clearly time to get him out.

Despite their earlier camaraderie, Proto certainly didn't seem happy to see him. No sign of the calm and collected, if a bit smarmy, smirk the general usually wore. He really must of interrupted something here. "UH...sorry...sirs. I just came here to....check if you needed anything." Yeah...that could work....except that he was a Sniper and not a service bot DOH! Maybe he should just run now.

Proto thought this was just an ordinary sniper, some useless drone they could blast to pieces and not affect the army in the slightest. So yes, he was annoyed, and displaying it quite clearly.
....But all of a sudden it dawned on him just who this was. The snarling suddenly ceased, instead replaced by a questioning head tilt. ...How in the -hell- had he wandered into the Tower AGAIN -and- manage to find this room?!
Joe, you were very lucky. Though at this point in time it didn't seem so.
"....I believe Bass said earlier he could go for some E-tanks. So why don't you go track some down, hrm?" Oh yes, he'd play along with your stupid little game Joe.
