[ Quest 1: Scavenging Team: ] You are given an Basic Fear detector and asked to search around the outskirts of the strange monumental ruins and pick up anything with Fear detected around it. This usually comes in the forms of strange rocks and burnt pieces of jewelry and shattered weapons. - When scavenging around the massive crater, make sure to not travel too far to the edge; if you fall, you fall forever - Create a PRP thread and title it [QUEST PRP ] Scavenging Team (PLAYER NAMES HERE). - Next, write your introduction posts to your team having gathered their wits and gotten ready to do the process. When you are ready, have your team start searching by rolling 1d6. There are lots of unusual shaped fossils to encounter, mostly blackened masses with mutated skulls, but none of them radiate Fear. If you roll a 5 you find something that is heavily invested with Fear, and you have to use the given bag to gather it up and bring it back. When a 5 has been rolled 3 times your lime limit is up and you can head back. The quest is considered COMPLETED. Mark the title of the thread as so. - Remember that the quests below are just MECHANICS. It is up to you to breathe life to them, to interact with other players and make things meaningful!
Ever was awkward, which wasn't exactly new, but was perhaps more than usual -- flustered by the surroundings ,and their little gaggle, and the supplies they were handed to make this mission happen. As they gathered at the edge of the monument, he turned the Fear detector over in his hands, trying to figure out exactly how it worked, what it was, how they'd made it.
This curiosity was a sure sign that Life hadn't been a mistake. Maybe it wasn't right, either, but as his thumbs smoothed over the artifact and his eyebrows knitted together, his interest definitely sharpened.
"So uh. Can I do this bit?" He looked up at Cee as he said it, with a flash of a smile, trying to ignore the prickly feeling that the ruins behind her sent up the back of his neck. "The detector thing? You could hold the bag."
A pause, smile widening. "And we can send Wyatt to dig around when we find something."

Cee nodded, having taken the bag already but confirming it was fine. The strange skeletal ruins were what drew her eyes as she clasped the strap. "It ain't Prada but I guess beggars can't be whatever." She had a tendency to leave the ends of phrases with 'watever'. It was as if she wanted to show she was smart enough just not bothered to care.
"You think we always gonna be crazy places like this? Where the ******** is this?" Things started to become clearer in the area, piles of weird burnt looking objects and skulls and bones.
"Yeah, big boy. You dig. I ain't goin in the skulls and s**t."
"Probably, so far it's all been some crazy s**t from what I've seen," he started. He considered going into the whole explanation of what he saw in Wonderland, but he still hadn't fully made sense of all that himself yet, and he was a bit concerned that he would just sound like a crazy person.
"Sure, always happy to be treated like a dog. 'Here Wyatt, dig over there! Good boy! Good boy!'" he teased, not truly caring about having to do the work either way. "********' A, just let me know when to dig and I'll do it."

With a flash of a grin, Ever pulled his googles down and turned his attention to the little device they'd been handed to go a-hunting. And, of course, no sooner had he looked down and taken a step forward than it started to go off, warning him of the presence of nearby Fear. It was an encouraging sound. Focused, he moved slowly toward the source, sinking to a crouch in front of a pile of battered skulls and discarded old weapons.
"I think we're all kind of being treated like dogs." He gestured, vaguely, to the pile -- looking back over his shoulder at Cee and Wyatt. "Sniff around. Dig. Fetch. Carry."
"Nice.." Cee smiled at Ever and took his newly found ... whatever it was. A lump of something? It didn't feel any different than any of the other refuse scattering the ground. "Dat's why you got the meter thing I guess."
She kicked a pile, handling the job with a now heavily put on nonchalance. Ever's meter remained still meaning she'd found nothing. Having been through several realistic 'dreams' Cee decided to treat this as such. It kept her pulse steady, as did the presence of her two handsome companions.
"So... " Her eyes darted to Ever through her heavily mascaraed lashes. Then to Wyatt. If he was straight, he was hers. If he wasn't than she was totally going to make her pale friend tap that. "I'm Cee."
"Cee, huh? I reckon that's short for somethin'?" he questioned as he dug around, searching for whatever made the detector go off again. He pulled out what looked to be some...rock or lump of something. As he held it in his hand, he just prayed it wasn't fossilized s**t.
"Catch," he said, tossing the piece over to Ever without any further warning.

Rooting through the pile again, considering the noises of the small device in his hands, Ever looked up at Wyatt about two seconds before whatever-it-was hit him just over the eyebrow. For a moment, he looked blurry -- dazed -- out of sorts, staring at the pair of them in a baffled sort of way. Then he kicked back into focus with a wince, one hand going up to his forehead and the other snatching whatever-it-was to put it in Cee's bag.
"Concetta." She winked, "But only my parents called me dat."
Cee leaned over to turn over something that looked like it may have been made by hand at one point. After then it suffered as the rest of this landscape did, dark and twisted. She waved it by the meter and tossed it aside.
"An who're you hansome? I seen ya at the pageant but if I got yer name it's gone now haha. Me'n Ever are nex'door neighbors." As the time wore on and nothing scary or shocking happened she seemed to ease up. It helped that she could see other small groups, as well as single hunters, doing the same task. It meant safety... or so she thought.

"Concetta's a lot of name to lay on a girl. High expectations. That's no fair at all." Ever wiped dust off his hands and shook his head at that -- looking up at Cee through the muddy glass of his goggles. It was brief, though, before he dropped his attention back into the mess, shaking at the Fear detector.
