Medea's hard stare wasn't anything new. Shik returned it levelly, then excused himself from the group with a brush of his wings along Shaheen's to begin their good work.

It was disappointing to him that Aeron was so devout to one so clearly unworthy, and in a way it was also disgusting to him: the man had basically given up his right to make a choice by simply following Lan. It annoyed him in a way he could not explain, and so he was happy to take it out on some white coats--the sacrifice was just a bonus.

"Spot anything?" he asked her as they flew, keeping low for now. It was hot and miserable without the comfort of trees and shade to aid them. His expression was still tense and furrowed, the typical look of one who was not getting his way quite so well.

Medea circles around you. "You have made the correct choice," she hisses, and she is watching you, carefully, looking right through you. "But nothing ever is complete without a test. You will prove your worth to ascend and move out from insignificance. You will find me a human sacrifice, a Hunter. Find one, and bring them to me, alive. Prove both your dedication and your loyalty."

- Create a PRP thread and title it [QUEST PRP ] Human Sacrifice (PLAYER NAMES HERE).
- Next, write your introduction posts to your team having gathered their wits and gotten ready to do the process. When you are ready, have your team start searching by rolling 1d10. They are basically scanning the landscape for a Hunter. If anyone rolls a 1 or 10 you have found a Hunter! You may now round them up and fight them
- The goal is to injure a Hunter, and they come with 40 HP and 5 auto damage. When a Hunter is down to less than 10 HP they are unconscious. IF they hit 0, they are DEAD so be careful.
- Medea said bring back alive so simply drop the Hunter off with Medea. She seems to prefer them unconscious.
- Remember that the quests below are just MECHANICS. It is up to you to breathe life to them, to interact with other players and make things meaningful! Once you have completed this quest you can mark it as COMPLETED.

Shaheen was upset. It was disheartening, in a way, to see so many who could not decide, who were incapable of seeing his things needed to be. It hurt more to see friends, allies in this continuous battle that their lives had become, turn their back on the obvious choice, on what was most assuredly the right choice to make.

Lan had her own excuses, of course, but Shsheen could only scorn then. The reasoning was off, obscured by a self obtainede lack of knowledge. She had felt that Medea's path was unknown, hidden, and untrustworthy. But Shaheen...she knew. She had made it her business to know the result of the end game. She had been involved, and now, there was no question who she would follow,

Medea was who, together, he and Shik had supported from the start. There had been, at one time, a more true beginning to this journey. Without the war chieftain and the executioner from the same clan, Shaheen felt it unlikely that they would even be at thid point.

And so, it hurt and she took it all very personally.

To her, once this was all over, only those who had made the proper choice were the ones worth her time and companionship. That was how she felt, and it was a decision that she was more then willing to accept

Those thoughts accepted, Shaheen realised that she had a job to do, her gaze sweeping the landscape as they flew, silently, side by side.

His question came just as her eyes locked on movement. A white jacket, a flash of the sun glinting off of a weapon.

"Yes." She responded, her answer short at she pointed. "There."

Her voice had taken on a hallow edge, devoid of emotion, when she spoke.

She couldn't afford to feel right now.

He was quiet for a moment. While not an emotional man, even he could feel Shaheen's bitterness over what should have been the easiest choice in the world. "We do not need the weak-willed," Shik said decisively, turning his gaze to her. "What folly they choose is their own to suffer. You and I have been in this from the beginning, and that is all we will ever need to succeed."

It had begun as merely the best option of revenge to him after months of scorn and idle waiting. Blood and battle and god killing, the necessary means to secure their power once more. But now seeing how politically split the horsemen were, Shik could see why some might become ambitious: there were sheep content to living in co-existence with the lesser, when they were nothing more than glorified relics kept as an attraction. It inspired a specific sort of rage in him to see how blind they were to the possibilities--a rage he could now vent on a hunter.

Making a sharp motion with his head to cue Shaheen, he tucked his wings and sharply doge down, dagger summoned and beginning to glow. Seconds from impact Shik gave a battle cry, and the dagger burst into flames as it sunk into the white coat's shield. It was a slender human, its coat marked by a sun shape and its weapon a broadsword, as Shik soon learned the hard way. But they had caught it off guard, and he relished the pale look it gave him.

"I loathe them." Came her simple reply, and it was impossible to tell who exactly she meant the words for. Hunters? Obvious, and likely, but given that Shikoba gave mention to those who had chosen a separate path from their own, it could have also been a statement meant for them.

"All of them." She hissed, her voice flat to go with her narrow eyed stare, as she also quite suddenly dropped into a dive that cut through the air, her weapon appearing in her hand.

Shik got there first, his blade set ablaze by his Fear, the fire of which glinted in the black parts of her eyes. Following up with a sharp jan of her own sword, it came ill timed as the broad sword swung through the air, striking first him and her immediately afterwards, effectively driving her back.

There was a snarl on her lips, her anger and frustration now channeled into her actions at this moment, putting those feelings to better use.

There was no battle banter this time, no goad to turn it into a competition. Shik was an elder executioner, a master of close combat who knew how to strike and destroy with a minimal amount of exertion: and for once, rather than toy with their prey, he decided to implement it.

The moment the hunter turned to swing at Shaheen, he sprung forward and latched onto it. The weapon still carved a dent in his shield, but his dagger was swift, digging into the offending limb's wrist to drive the weapon from its hand. As his other hand rose, fog and glints of color coalesced into the familiar sight of the insanity sword, driving it deeper and deeper until he felt its shield break. It took precision to knock it unconscious rather than kill it, which was looking mroe appealing by the second. But in a flash both weapons were gone, and he stepped off.

"Then if they stand in our way, we will strike them down," Shik told her simply, turning his head to face Shaheen with a determined look. "There is no room left for gray areas." Whether she meant opposition in the clans or the hunters, it did not matter to him. An enemy was an enemy, regardless of its guise.
