The sun rose and woke me after my attack on the Ysali dragon and my nights feasting. I checked to make sure my stuff was okay and discovered that the packaging needed to be remade entirely. Sighing, I got up and found some sturdy plants and wood and re-wrapped my stuff. Having to constantly check my stuff is annoying. I really need an actual pouch that is waterproof to hold my stuff as I swim. Looking at the new wrapping, I decided that it would be best if I swam the shortest route between lands so that I could remake this stupid pouch as often as possible. Stretching, I sniffed the air to see if any critters were nearby, I needed to have breakfast before I set out. Sensing a pond nearby, I got feed on fish in it. Satisfied for now, I head out. I swim as close to directly southeast as I can manage. I figure that since I am leaving from the south part of the eastern section of Soudul, that southeast is the quickest way to Eowyn. I really need to get a waterproof pouch so that I can take my time swimming instead of worrying….
A couple of days pass as I swim and I finally see the coast of some land. It’s a good thing because my packaging is starting to come undone. I swim faster and near the shore. I spot storm clouds building along the shore line with flickers of lightning along the ground…. Hmmmm… lightning should be in the clouds, not along the ground. It might be dragons or something else, better make sure before I go attacking. If it is a Kiandri dragon, I’m going to kill it. I swim a bit to the north and come ashore where I spot some dry rocks where I hide my stuff. After looking around and finding landmarks to memorize the location so that I can come back, I head back to the ocean and swim back to where I had spotted the lightning along the ground. I make sure that I swim as deep as possible in the shallow coastal waters to avoid detection. The ocean floor starts to rise and I swim slower taking stock of the situation along the shore.
The lightning was dragons. 4 Kiandri dragons, 2 in the air and 2 are lounging on rocks. They are blasting lightning at rocks lying around the beach as the storm clouds roll in. I hate them and their nasty lightning. I really really hate them. Settling down to the bottom I swim around to where some rocks are running up from the ocean to the beach. I settle in to wait for one of them to approach as the storm grows bigger and closer. A huge crack of lightning breaks from the dark clouds startling one of the flying pests to dive for the rocks. It settles on a huge rock, just feet away from where I am hiding under water. Perfect. I launch myself at the foul creature as the thunder rumbles around.

She was going out looking for trouble: while she had a lot of orbs, the last batch were all Gaili. Earth and lightning just don't mix! It'll make my ritual harder, she thought to herself as she soared high in the sky, her wings stirring the clouds. I need more Kiandri orbs... or some that can help channel lightning, like water! Or fire, that's very like lightning. Something to make this ritual a bit easier to control. Spotting something going on far below her, she dipped her wings and slowly meandered downwards, hovering on the hot thermals and wind that the desert below gave off. It was along the coast, which mean she had a good chance at finding either Peisio or Kiandri Dragons: both of which she wanted to find. The closer she got, the easier it was to pick out what was happening below. She grinned, four Kiandri's! Perfect, she purred to herself before pausing as another figure joined. Oh! Looks like someone's already fighting these ones... but Ill go and help anyways. She thought. Maybe I'll get some orbs out of it, and if not, well it is a fellow Khehora, so I can at least chat. She banked her wings abruptly and dove downwards, her claws held in readiness to rake the Dragon she was aimed at.

I tore the throat out of the Kiandri that I had just ambushed. Standing over the disappearing body of the first Kiandri leaving its orb behind, I looked for the next target. The one flying in the air had turned its head and was angling itself for a dive while the two on the ground opened their mouths to blast me with lightning. I growled, who cares about pain, I'll get them all..... as I launched myself at the closest ground Kiandri, I spotted a small orange flicker diving out of the clouds-straight at the flying Kiandri.....hmmmm I might actually live. Good. These Kiandris are dead meat either way though. Charging through the lightning blast, I felt my old scars ache in memory and ignored the pain. The lightning may hurt, but my teeth are going to hurt them more. I blasted through the lightning and jumped the Kiandri closest to me, shredding its wings as it attempted to flee. As I fought tooth and nail with this Kiandri, the other grounded one launched itself at me as well. I could feel wounds opening up on my body. I ignored them. I will not fall until all these Kiandri are dead first! word count: 202+514 = 716

She saw that it was a Peisio that was attacking the Kiandri. That guys gt a death wish! She thought with a sigh as she flared her wings open at the end of her dive to rake one dragon with her claws. He's weak against our magic! She turned back and crashed into the dragon she'd just raked with her claws, her jaws latching on to its vulnerable neck. Shaking her head violently, she tore out it's throat. Leaving that one to gasp it's final breaths, she attacked the dragon that was clawing the other khehora from behind. My he's a big one! She thought as she finally got a good if brief look at him. He was much larger than her that was for sure!

I locked my teeth on the Kiandri’s throat and continued to shred its wings. I could feel the claws of the other Kiandri racking my back. As we trashed about on the ground, I attempted to roll our melee into the ocean where I could drown these fiends. However, before I could manage to move our fight more than a few feet, I felt a tingling along my spine. The other Kiandri was going to blast me point blank with lightning! We’ll see about that! I waited until I felt him pull just slightly back and then I released the Kiandri I was strangling and jumped straight up. It should hit the other Kiandri if I timed it right……..Flaring my bleeding wings out I paused for just a moment, waiting for the lighting blast to pass below me before falling back on the wounded Kiandri. I would kill him first before moving on to the next one. word count 157 +716 = 873

Grrel watched as he struggled out from the dragons and managed to dodge the bolt of lightning. For a big guy he’s fast enough, she thought as she shredded the wing muscles from her perch upon the larger Kiandri dragon’s back. It screamed in pain and began to thrash about, trying to get her off of its back. She held on and clawed her way up till she was half on the back, half on the neck. Perfect area to grasp and rip out the softer throat muscles and get herself another kill! The dragon, feeling its death, frantically rolled in the water itself to try and smother her as well. But Grrel merely slashed the throat, held her breath and waited out the dragon. It stopped twitching and finally died: leaving behind an orb which she grabbed quickly on her way to the surface. words: total 492/1200

The lighting blasted past my tail and nailed the wounded Kiandri. Wonderful, less work for me to do, I dived back at it, pushing it ever closer to the water. For several more minutes, I struggled with both of the Kiandri. I was losing blood and strength quickly but so was the wounded Kiandri. I finally managed to grab his throat and was strangling him, but the other one was still free and shredding my back and wings. Just as I felt his teeth scrap my neck, I snapped the throat of the wounded one. Another one down! Only two more to go…..maybe… As I gasped and turned on the one behind me, I noted how the fourth Kiandri hadn’t done anything to me….Apparently the Orange speck was an ally… word count: 130+ 873= 1003/1200 almost there!

Grrel swam down to where she’d seen the Peisio drag the two dragons... or dragon one and the other followed. I’ll just get one of them off of him. He can deal with one if it’s by himself… She bite the tail of the Dragon that was clawing at his back, then used it to pull herself on to its back so she could start her own shredding. It was only for a minute though before Grrel was forced up to the surface for air. The Kiandri, pissed at the pain and needing air itself, followed. Grrel, inelegantly but quickly, pushed herself out of the water and into the air with great sweeps of her wings. She turned and shot a bolt of Lightning down behind her to hit the Dragon. Now that she was wet, she knew that the other’s magic would hit her a lot easier, she needed to finish this fast. Hopefully that Peisio can finish it off by himself, she thought. And that he’s not too badly hurt. words: 664

I turned around and the third Kiandri was gone. ….and we were in the ocean. I breathed deep and tried to re-orientate myself through the pain of my back and wings. Below me the Kiandri disappeared into an orb, I should probably grab that…right...slowly, every move painful, I picked it up and tried to remember the details of the last few minutes. Right, so I had been moving towards the ocean the entire fight…but when had I reached it? I couldn’t remember through the pain…that other Kiandri had done a real number on me. I needed to heal but there were possibly two, hopefully only one Kiandri still out there. I shall have to see what is going on above the surface of the ocean. Slowly I rose to the surface, the salty water only causing pain instead of its usual soothing. I spotted the third Kiandri in the air, with an orange Khehora above it, but no sight of the fourth Kiandri. As the orange one blasted lightning at the dragon. I knew that whoever it was had killed the fourth one as well. Good, as the other Khehora, who must be of the Kiandri clan, kept the final Kiandri dragon busy, I swam until I could stand easily on the ocean bed and concentrated on healing my wounds. I need to make sure I healed completely before I flew up and helped out the orange one, my wings were a complete ruin. word count 1003 +224 = 1227 words, word count meet

Grrel fought the last dragon in the air: no magic just a brutal bloody melee. She was smaller, faster and dealt many small bleeding wounds while twisting out of the majority of its blows. Soon her opponent was dripping blood from all over while she had but a few wounds. Time to finish this, she thought with a grin. She dived at it: claws latching onto the chest while her teeth found her favorite spot to hit: the neck. With a violent shake of her head she snapped its neck with a satisfying crack. Grabbing the orbs as they fell from the dissolving dragon’s body, she slowly flew back down to the beach and waited for the Peisio to show up. He was down there, she could (with a bit of concentrating) feel his magic. She knew he was casting some healing spells. Useful things Peisios. They were healers and fighters; and always useful in the desert! Be nice if I had more than just attack spells, she thought, some better defensive or healing would be lovely. But she knew it was not to be: Kidanri’s were speedy fighters, not defenders or healers. That was why they always had to know the plants that could be used to heal: or steal potions from Magescians. Toki, she knew, had a vast store of medicinal knowledge so he could double as a healer. They did have a few Ysalis within the clan though, they were the actual healers. words: 910/1200

I finally finished healing the worst of the damage to my wings and looked up to dins the last of the Kiandri. Except the only creature in the sky was another Khehora. She was obviously the orange creature form before. It has been awhile since I last talked with another of my species. I settled down into the gentle waves that were no longer hurting and called up to the other Khehora, “Thanks for the help, would you mind coming down here while I finish healing myself?” With that done, I went back to finishing my healing. I have always found it easier to heal myself then others so I shouldn’t have any scars from this fight. word count: 1227+117=1344

Grrel fluttered down and sat on the beach while she waited for the other to finish. She had no wounds, but it looked like the Kiandri's had gone to town on this guys back! And added to the other older scars. She felt small when she saw the size on him. Freaking huge! What'd his parents feed him on? Settling down, she ran her claws through the damp sand to cleanse them of the blood. Then she waded into the ocean and rolled in it. The chilly salt water felt good on her scales after all that flying, plus it got the red splatters off. Not that she minded blood, but it got scratchy after a while and took a while to peel off if it dried. And it attracted bugs. Annoying things.. "I'm called Grrel, what's your name?" She asked the other Khehora after she finished washing. words 1058/1200

“I am Imoogi” I responded as I finished repairing the damage the Kiandris had caused. Shaking my wings out to make sure that all was well with them again, I looked at the smaller Khehora. She was a vivid orange with purple horns, eyes, and tail tip. “What a bright coloration. Anyway, do you need any healing? I can sortof heal others so long as the wounds are small.”word count 69+1344=1413
