The Orderite liked Eowyn, there weren’t too many people here and not too many Oblivionites either. Today was such a nice day too. The sun was casting pockets of lights through the thick foliage of the trees and the sky was without a cloud in sight. There was one problem though that really bothered Xenosa since she’d gotten up that morning. For the life of her she couldn’t understand why she felt bothered, like something was wrong or off about the forest today. It was nice yes, but there was an eerie quietness that sent chills up her spine but because she hadn’t sighted anything, Xenosa ignored the feeling.
She had packed up camp and was now moving quietly through the forest, eyes scanning around in case she ran into someone. Nothing. The day continued and Xenosa stopped by a small river to drink, still not an animal in sight. There was however this intensely annoying buzzing sound that had started when she’d reached the small river. As if there was some sort of bug that was constantly buzzing around her and it was really starting to grate on her nerves. Standing up, Xenosa huffed and turned around to come face to face with…
Whatever the hell was staring back at her. Xenosa stared at it as it approached her and she readied her daggers, she’d never seen anything like this before. It’s body was made of solid brown rock and it was carved even to present a face with glowing green eyes. The same green was seen coming out from its torso where legs should have been; Xenosa took a step back and readied her weapons. Its armor was crude in making but that was still a weapon in its hands and she would not take a chance. “Winged Fleshy Life Sighted. Orders: Eliminate.”
The dagger flew in a flash as the word Eliminate ended from the being. The dagger easily found its mark but the dagger rebounded off the rock and fell to the round. Useless, her weapons were useless. Flaring her wings Xenosa touched off the ground flying towards the thing and then changing her momentum so that her feet landed on its chest and she pushed off with all her might. The thing went tumbling back from the push and Xenosa took that as her cue to leave the thing alone, except it was following her.
It was faster than she’d anticipated, it came within reach and laid a heavy hand on her ankle to squeeze and pull her back in force. The thing through her backwards over its shoulder and Xenosa went flying back hitting a tree and falling to the ground. Hopefully her ribs weren’t cracked but she knew she’d hit her head, she pushed herself up on her feet and flew up this time above the treeline and continued to fly. Still it followed her until she spotted the only thing she knew could possibly save her. A group of Peisio Khehora were playing in a small lake, Xenosa crashed into it.
At some point they fetched her out of the water, but she could remember so little. The thing was gone for now, the Khehora would take care of her.
