It had all started out as a typical day for me; I was just swimming along enjoying the ocean. I had no clue where I was relative to the tiny Magescian lands. I had just swum down and eaten a tasty snack and decided it would be nice to eat some plants. So I surfaced and looked for land. Looking around I spotted some clouds and a dark blur on the horizon. Since clouds usually form near or above land, that should be a good direction to swim in, and I’ll hopefully get the added benefit of a good storm.

I swam for an hour or two before reaching the clouds. Surfacing I was delighted to find that there was a gentle rain falling, completely blocking out the last rays of the day. Smelling the area I detected a faint hint of plant life, indicating that I was near a shore. I decided it would be wonderful to fly in the rain the rest of the way to the land, so I dove deep and swimming powerfully towards the surface, I launched myself into the air. The flight to land was wonderful as the rain fell all around me. I spotted a small stream flowing out into the ocean and angled towards it. Landing, I found there was an abundance of my favorite plants. I happily settled in and started eating them all.

I should have been paying more attention to my surroundings. Its just that I had just been on the ocean for a month or two so I was enjoying the taste of plants too much. I didn’t notice the Ysali dragon who was napping under the nearby rock growth. Apparently I was eating his plants and he wasn’t happy. Or he could have just been angry at getting woken up by an Orakovan at the start of the night. Or he could have just been pissed at the sight of an Orakovan, I have been chased by dragons for no other reason. Whatever, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that I was foolishly concentrating on eating and not on my surrounding, so I got jumped from behind. If I attempted to fight, I was going to get trounced. I decided that I was not going to get hurt for plants and launched myself into the air so I could return to the ocean quickly. I would have gone into the steam, except it was much too shallow. The Ysali followed closely but then I dove into the ocean. It certainly wasn’t going to catch me there. As I swum deep, I glanced back and noticed it circling. Ha, apparently it was going to wait for me to surface. What a fool. I simply vanished deep into the ocean. However, I will remember that location and come back later, preferable in a full storm, just to beat the crap out of that dragon for disturbing my eating. Well, I’m hungry again, so it’s time to go hunting again.
