Nebby had been travelling for a couple of hours, and he was far enough from home that he figured he may as well stay out into the night, see if he could find something interesting to get into while he was out. The large, rather felid-looking Soquili had been out to search for some special moss he heard grew around here, and he was always after trinkets like neat rocks, crystals, feathers, flowers. Well, flowers were a treat, anyways, if he wasn't saving them for tinkering. He hadn't been paying much attention to what had been going on around him, as usual, although it didn't particularly matter, it wasn't often that Nebby was stopped when he was out and about. Seldom did he anticipate an encounter, and he wasn't exactly what most would call 'personable' anyways. Sure, the stallion could charm the leaves off a tree, but it was likely fake or for a reason, if he did make the effort. Usually it was ladies.
He laughed to himself a bit as he'd been humming a tune, and some funny words for it had popped into his head. Suddenly a sweet, sweet scent caught his nostrils, and he recognized it, but it took a moment to register and for him to realize what exactly the smell was. It was the scent of lavender. Early blooms, they must have been. As much as Nebby would never admit to anyone openly...lavender was one of his most favourite things in the whole world, and he loved to have his lair full of it. Nobody ever saw his home on general principle, so he had whatever he wanted in there. The leopard-spotted male began to sniff around for the succulent purple flowers, not paying any mind to his surroundings at all.

Ceto was finally away from her usual beach side cave. Which was a rarity. Her mother was off doing some soul searching or something and she was allowed some space. Unlike her older sister, she would take the chance at suffering her wrath to get a little time to herself and get away from her usual surroundings.
Her eyes widened as she took in the splendor around her. The last time she had snuck away, it was winter and the land was cool and the earth was frozen over. Now, it was filled with vibrant greens, reds, yellows and even purple. And the smells! So different than the salty air she'd been breathing all her life. It was places like this that lifted the spirit and made Ceto want to sing. She raised her head toward the sky and closed her eyes, taking in the warmth of the sun on her face. It was then, that she opened her mouth, took a couple of deep breaths and began to sing. The notes soft that slowly built in tone and strength.
Wake up... Look me in the eyes.. again. I need to feel your hoof.. against me..
Words can be like.. knives. They can cut you open..
And when the silence surrounds you.. And. holds. you..
And in the presence of such lovely growth, she lost herself to the story.

There was another scent that crossed Nebby's nostrils, aside from the sweet flowers he was after, and as he caught a faint sound of singing, he wasn't sure at first that he could believe it. It wasn't very often you just randomly hear singing in the middle of practically nowhere, and Nebby knew that quite well. He thought for a moment, staring quizzically ahead, and then deicded to try to hide and taunt whoever it may be that was doing the singing. Or at least tease them a little...perhaps give them a fright. From the mix of smells, the large, cat-like stallion decided that it was most certainly a mare. In which case, if the pranking or insults went south, he could always resort to charm.
With a stupid smile on his face, Nebby crept along behind some trees, slowly following the soft sound of the song as it grew closer, and louder. He spied the mare through a hole in a thick brush, and watched her for a moment, taking in her appearance and her decoration very curiously. She was a pretty little thing...and for a moment the huge stallion wasn't really sure if he wanted to be mean or just go straight to attempting to charm her. Perhaps it would depend on how she acted if they spoke. As he observed her, she seemed incredibly lost in her singing, so he took this as a perfect chance to scare her.
The cat-like and agile, despite his size, stallion crept through the trees until he was behind her and about ten or fifteen feet away, and then he went crashing through the bushes doing his best impression of a wildcat like he had heard when he was young. Nebby loved to tell the story of how he encountered and fought off a mountain lion. To the mares...
As he went barrelling through the trees and bushes toward the mare, yelling and attempting to roar at the top of his lungs, he tripped and nearly fell onto the ground, face first. He picked himself up trying to look cool and hoping she hadn't seen him trip, his mane in his eyes until he was able to give his head a shake whilst awaiting her reaction.bella dea Sorry it took me so long, dude! I just couldn't get the feel for Nebby's character and then I all of a sudden went on an RP spree today! <3
