One month. It's been one month since she met Tate and now they were best friends. Elena was yelled at a few times by her former boyfriends, but she never let that phase her. Then again, she didn't know why they were so upset over her new friend until something Elena realized one week ago. A week ago, Tate came over when Elena wasn't feeling well, and nursed her back to health. He made sure that she was feeling upright, that she was fine on her own, and didn't dare to let her leave her bed. That's when Elena found herself liking Tate Monroe. It was weird, liking someone that wasn't a vampire. First it was Stefan, but he left after the bridge incident. The relationship she had with Damon wasn't official, considering that she only kissed him a few times after Stefan left. Also, she was lost, she was confused, and Damon was Stefan's brother.
Now there was Tate. No relation to Stefan or Damon, and nothing alike. Elena found herself liking Tate the more they hung out. The previous night, Elena had asked Bonnie for advice on how to get Tate to possibly like her back. Bonnie suggested undoing a few buttons and be bold. But then Elena had something. Now, walking towards the school, Elena wore one of her old sweaters. The weather was cold enough for the clothing. She was supposed to meet Tate outside of the school, by the tree, and that's where she stood.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ Every morning, Tate and his older sister Kailan would 'car pool', as Tate would call it. But it was actually Kailan driving Tate around just because he didn't think having his own car was necessary at the moment. Why get your own when your sister has one? So that's where Tate was right now, in the passenger seat of his sister's '69 Dodge Charger on their way to school. Tate was doing his usual thing, messing with his clothing as they drove and talking about his newest best friend Elena. Part of him felt like Kailan wasn't too keen on Elena but another part of him was positive that Kailan would like anyone that he liked as long as they were annoying.... he didn't find Elena annoying at all. Tate and his sister were a part of this werewolf pack of Mystic falls. Their town really lived up to it's name since it held thing likes werewolves, witches, and vampires - all things that Tate avoided other than his werewolf sister and warlock half-brother. And did I forget to mention that his father is a hunter?
♣ As soon as Tate and Kailan arrived at school, Tate bolted out of the car yelling something about probably hanging out with Elena after school so Kailan doesn't have to give him a ride. Yeah, it's like that. About a month ago, Kailan pointed out a set of girls for Tate to flirt with and Tate took the chance, finding interest in Elena rather the girl that Kailan initially wanted him to flirt with - Bonnie. What could he say, there was something about those big brown eyes and beautiful smile that just lured him in. But he's only had one girlfriend before and she was kind of.... weird so he didn't know how to approach a situation like this. Kailan gave him advice but her advice wasn't exactly stuff that he'd do so he has just left it alone, feeling that if she just wanted to be friends then they could be friends. He didn't mind, as long as he still got to be with her. So this was Tate, practically running to the tree where he was supposed to meet Elena before school. He couldn't help but be disappointed by seeing her there already and, as he go closer, he expressed his disappointment. " I wanted to get here before you..." he told her. Tate went in for his usual greeting, a quick hug, when he noticed her sweater. The boy touched the fabric, looking from the sweater to Elena's face. " This is a quality sweater right here. I am impressed. I wish you had told me what color your sweater was going to be so I could match you..." This was Tate Monroe, commenting on the quality of a sweater and wishing that they could match. " It would have been cute"

Elena stood and waited for her new friend, and new crush, Tate. His curly, blonde hair was easily spotted from the crowd and she couldn't help but smile from the sight of him. However, seeing his expression, Elena suddenly felt insecure. Did he not like the sweater? Elena tugged down the sleeves of her sweater, now worried at how he thought. When closer, she was relieved of her small heart break. Tate disappointment was of her beating to the tree before him. Elena chuckled and decided against making a joke. "Sorry," she said before leaning close to Tate. Their usual greeting now a days was to hug, a quick one like a peck for kiss. Elena smiled widely in the hug, wrapping her arms briefly around his neck before pulling away.
That was when Tate finally noticed her sweater. He rubbed the material between his index finger and thumb, almost amazed at the texture. Which he complimented on. Also to go so far as to comment that she should've informed him of her wardrobe so he could've matched her. Elena let out a breathy chuckle and brushed some of her straight, brown hair behind her ear. "Sorry," she repeated. Cute was the word that Tate used to describe if they matched. This caused Elena to bite her lip and walk beside Tate. Caroline told her recently to be bold so that's what Elena was going to do. "Hey, you remember the first day we hung out and I told you that since I tried fry pizza and loved it, you had to do something I say?" Elena wore a smirk as if she was plotting something. "Well, Tate, I want you to come over and watch this movie with me. You'll love it." Elena looked to him to see his reaction

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ "Later?" Tate asked, automatically assuming that she would want to do this after school. "Can I buy snacks? What's a movie without snacks, right?" After spending a month with Elena, Tate was honestly willing to do whatever she wanted him to do as long as it wouldn't get either of them killed. Safety first. " Wait, what movie? How do you know I'm going to like it?" Even if he didn't like it, he'd probably still sit through it for Elena's sake. He made her try pizza with French fries on it the first day that they met, he knew that her payback would come eventually. Tate wrapped an arm around Elena as they walked, grinning. " You look good in a sweater. I'm finally rubbing off on you. Before you know it, you'll be rocking your hair in a curly mop and we can stroll around as if we were twins" Tate wiggled his eyebrows at Elena for emphasis. He was known as a one of those hipster dream boat kind of guys in school but he just really liked sweaters. They were comfortable. He didn't wear them for any reason other than comfort. " I'm such a dork" he said, realizing that maybe his whole matching/ twinning thing could probably be creepy to Elena. "Anyway, I'd be up for a movie anytime. By the way, why is your brother never home? I think it's about time that we meet each other's siblings, don't you?". Tate looked down at Elena. " Unless you think a month is too soon for us to be meeting each other's siblings...." Tate cleared this throat awkwardly. Even if they were just friends, he really wanted his sister to meet who his best friend was. " I sound like a nervous boyfriend, don't I? Sorry. I just thought it would be cool if my sister could actually meet you for once rather than hearing about you all the time" The poor boy didn't even realize that he just admitting to constantly talking about her.

Elena bent her head back to let out a laugh after Tate explained about snacks. Hands placed on his shoulders, Elena looked at him and shook him lightly. "Of course we have to have snacks!" As if that wasn't enough for him to know that she was joking, another laugh followed. Soon, his arm was wrapped around her shoulders after the question as to what movie they were going to watch. "Movie? No, no, no. It's movies. We are having a movie night, mister." Elena hadn't realized it until now, but Tate was really close to her. Recently, they grown closer and so did their body space. Now they hugged, they wrapped arms around each other, like right now. His arm was wrapped around her shoulders, holding her close to his body, her arm was wrapped around his back, and her other hand draped casually on his hand that was close to her face. As if she were about to hold hands with his own. A lot of people used to look at them, wonder how they became friends or if they were dating. Now? Now they do what they do with any other couple in school: get out of their way so they aren't in the crossfire of their affection. Elena didn't mind this. In fact, she just liked hearing Tate talk. More like ramble. He was going on about how much further they could match and be twins before admitting that he's a dork. He was. But a cute one. Elena felt her smile slowly disappear at the mention of Jeremy, whom was mind compulsed by Damon to leave town after Jeremy almost died officially.
"He's.. with a family member out of town. They have a better program for him down there than here. I stayed because I wasn't ready to leave my friends," lied Elena, immediately feeling guilty about it afterwards. She wanted to tell Tate the truth, but she didn't want to scare him off. She didn't want him to go away. She liked having him close. The thought of him running away scared if she told him made her wrap her arm around his waist tighter as she body pressed even closer against his own, fitting perfectly like a puzzle. Approaching her locker, Elena looked up at Tate as soon as she felt his eyes rest on hers. "I would love nothing more than to meet your sister, but, I mean, what if she doesn't like me?" Elena approached her locker and dropped her hand from his own, and undid the lock on her locker. "How about this: I'll meet your sister this weekend. But tonight, you're all mine." Elena chuckled and grabbed one of her books as she heard something that caught her attention. "Wait, wait, wait. 'Hearing about you all the time'. Tate, do you talk about me a lot?" This caused her smile to broaden, the thought of him sitting down and just talking about her to his own sister. Since Elena barely had time to with her brother, she rants about Tate to her own friends. "And here I was, worried that I talk too much about you to my friends."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ Tate nodded thoughtfully, thinking that it was cool that her brother was going after an education that appealed to him better. " Well I'm glad you stayed" he said. When she asked if his sister would hate him, Tate just nodded. " She probably will. Kailan doesn't really like a lot of people. But she's like a cockroach : hard and crunchy on the outside but soft and splooshy on the inside. She's just someone who needs to get used to you first, that's all" He had to be honest with her about his sister. He wasn't gong to make her feel like Kailan was the type to run up to you and give you a hug. s**t, she barely hugged him and he was her brother. But that's just how they were. Tate pursed his lips when Elena inquired about him talking about her a lot, he was going to change the subject until she said that she, too, spoke about him often. Tate jokingly wiped pretend sweat from his forehead as if he was nervous. " Good. Now we're both on the same page" Tate leaned on the locker beside hers, folding his arms. " But if we're making a movie night then I think I want to stop by my house first just to get some sweatpants or something. Just to be more comfortable, you know?" He didn't intend on sleeping over because that wasn't what she was asking him to do. He just wanted to be comfortable... After a while, jeans and a belt were not as comfortable as he wished them to be. " So.... On my way over to your place, i'll pick up the snacks. You'll supply the movies and the venue. But let's keep it PG- 13, okay?" He grinned at her, only joking. Although, he wouldn't mind some classic kid movies being played. Nothing sets a mood more than some good Pixar. Some girls walked past Elena's locker and wave at Tate, them all saying 'hi Tate' in different tones. Tate waved nonchalantly, the wave he gave most people. "They make me extremely uncomfortable. I'm not gay, I'm tired of some people thinking I'm gay. They just make me uncomfortable. I am not your dream guy who wears sweaters and drinks coffee, I am just Tate."

Elena gathered her books in her arms as Tate leaned himself against her locker so casually. This was almost a daily thing, except now Elena noticed how much closer they were. A year ago, Elena didn't know who the hell Tate is, and also explained this to him. This caused Tate to openly admit that he didn't know much of Elena either. However, Elena shared her past self and compared it to her present. Back then, Elena was a cheerleader, peppy, outgoing, and was a social butterfly. Parties, beer, and that sort of thing was what Elena was so common for. The other half of Caroline, people would say. Now, she was the opposite. Quiet, grounded, and seen enough bad things in the world to make her less and less social. Elena shared with Tate the tragic story of her parents accidentally running off the Wickery Bridge and her former boyfriend, Stefan, had saved her that night. She never explained how, mainly because she was, in fact, knocked out, but she also didn't tell Tate how Stefan was able to get her out of the water so fast. Another lie that guilted over her head. Elena and Tate had grown close over the month, and she was grateful to have him as a best friend. Her curse was that she had grown to like him more than a friend. Elena nodded her head at Tate's comment of how he should run by his house and get sweatpants before the movie night. Made sense. Elena was planning on lounging out in her PJs, so might as well be fair with Tate.
However, a chortled laugh was heard from the olive skinned girl when Tate told her to keep the movies PG-13. "Damn," she said with a sarcastic look of sorrow, as if he just completely ruined the plans. Quickly composing herself and leaning against her opened locker, Elena said, "Nah, I was originally gonna have it as a kid's night. Ya'know: Monster's Inc, Hercules, the works." Elena wore a proud smile, grinning from ear to ear. Until a bunch of girls walked by and basically sang a greeting and his name with a wave. Immediately, Elena felt a sudden jealously wash over her. She looked over her shoulder as the girls walked off, lingering their looks on Tate, and then soon turning away. She watched them for a bit until she turned to face Tate. She only caught half of what Tate said, how he was just Tate. "And that Tate is amazing," said Elena, shutting her locker. With a smile, she grabbed Tate's wrist and wrapped it around her shoulder, much like how they were as they walked down the hall. Elena wanted to be close to him again, and to also make those girls jealous. Even if they weren't into him, she want them to see. Elena walked further down the hall with Tate and reminded him, "So, my place. Tonight. At, say, 4? Gives you time to stop by your house and get the snacks and me to scour through my closet for my kid movies."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ Tate grinned from ear to ear when she called him amazing. Sometimes it was just nice to know that someone who wasn't obligated to like him found him to be more than just another member of the biosphere. "And you're perfect" he said in reply. He always complimented her on little things - her laugh, her smile, her handwriting. Complimenting her had become natural to him at this point in life. Tate didn't make anything of her wrapping his arm back around her, this was something else that was becoming natural. Tate could be a very physical person at times so he didn't mind doing things like this. "It's a date" he said, agreeing to the plans. "Or , uh, a plan? Who the hell even came up with 'it's a date'? It sounds like the right thing to say but it all depends on the context." Tate shook his head at himself as they neared his locker now. The boy quickly unlocked his lock and grabbed the books that he needed. He didn't understand kids that stayed forever at their lockers, blocking up the hallway. It isn't hard to grab your books. When he was done, he put his arm back around Elena and kept walking. "But throw in a couple adult movies, you know? Just to keep us alive. It cant be all 'Finding Nemo' and 'Jungle Book'. You have to throw in a 'Final Destination' or something. If we use kid movies all night, one of us will fall asleep. We've got to keep ourselves entertained.

Elena couldn't help but to smile when Tate started to correct on his "mistake" of calling tonight a date. He had immediately tried to cover himself by saying that this was a plan. No. Elena saw it as a date, but she remained quiet as Tate tried to compose himself. Their closeness was cut off when Tate needed to repeat the process that Elena did, grabbing his books. But as soon as he gathered what he needed, the positioned themselves the same way as they did walking down the hall. His arm was wrapped around her. "Jesus, Tate. PG-13, not PG-13. Make up your mind," teased Elena with a grin. "Okay, okay. I'll see what I can pull out. But you are definitely watching what I pick." Elena laughed as she walked down the long hallway with Tate. It was... ineffable how close she and Tate grown after just one month. Elena didn't want to question it, since she loved how they immediately grown comfortable with one another, but often, Elena wonders. Tate was a great guy. Elena considered herself lucky for having him in her life now. After all the things that happened to her, she needed this. - - -
"Damon, no, I can't do that right now. I have plans tonight," said Elena in a sharp tone. Damon and she were standing in her kitchen, a few minutes away from Tate arriving. He already texted her, giving her heads up that was leaving the store. From when Elena was sick, she gave Tate the privilege to enter the house whenever he pleased, just as long it was for the right reason. And if he walked in and saw Damon, mixed signals would be sent. And the reason why Damon was here was what Elena was stressed about right now. Damon let his eyes brush over the many movies that lay scattered about. Elena gritted her teeth together and put a hand over the movies that Damon seemed to judge. "It's none of your business, before you ask. And you may get the hell out of my house now. Don't make me sign the house again, and not invite you the in." Damon wanted Elena to come over to his house so they could all plot about what they were going to do Klaus. But not tonight. Damon eventually obeyed and left through the backdoor. Elena felt a whole lot better considering that she was in her PJ shorts and tanktop. Moving back over to the living room, Elena bent over to scattered the choices on the coffee table.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ Tate had made his sister practically fly home so that he could change. He wasn't exactly nervous since this wasn't the first time he's been in her house - he recently nursed her back to health. Even if he wasn't nervous about being alone at her house, he still had to ask his sister for a bit of a motivational speech. After his sister making a sex joke, she basically told him to stop being a little b***h and make a legit move - not to mention his half-brother got in on the advance. But, as Ash had said, he didn't think that he should just 'plant one on her'. What if she didn't like him? He didn't want to ruin the friendship. Tate had already hightailed his a** out of the house and to the store.... Now he was casually walking to Elena's house. He wasn't sure if he was a normal sight to behold ; he had ditched the sweats and put on plain black pajama bottoms with his signature gray sweater. He was sure going to be comfortable.
♣ Tate knocked on Elena's door briefly before opening it with the spare key. He always did this, just so she'd know that he was coming in prior to hearing the door open. " Honey, I'm home!" he exclaimed, closing the door behind him. His definition of 'snacks' was a couple bags of chips, some candy, and a medium sized pizza.... He wasn't going to not feed Elena. She invited him over, by his own code of conduct he was required to bring the provisions. As soon as Tate entered, he turned left into the living room and smiled at Elena. He couldn't help but noticed her legs... actually, he tried not to stare at them. " I've got the provisions" he declared, showing the bag of candy and box of pizza. " You can thank me later" He stood there, awkwardly holding the bag of candy and box of pizza. He wasn't sure if he should hug her since she was in a tank top and shorts.... maybe hugging her like this wouldn't be something that she was comfortable with. He had intended on taking his sister's advice but he didn't want Elena to feel like he was making a pass just because she was, well, a little exposed right now. " So, what's on the agenda?"

Elena heard the light tapping of a knock from her front, wooden door indicating that someone darkened her doorstep. However, a key in the lock was heard along with the creak of the door opening. She couldn't help but laugh at his goofy comment as he entered the Gilbert house that was common as if they were a married couple. Looking over her shoulder, Elena saw Tate along with snacks in his hands. Now, when Elena was picturing Tate walking in with said food, she imagined him with a grocery bag filled with light snacks. But he had managed to bring over not only something they could munch on throughout the movie night, but something for them to have legit dinner. Elena wasn't thinking that it was a bad thing, it was the opposite: he saved them from being hungry throughout the course of the upcoming hours. He had commented with a grin that she could thank him later. Rushing up to him, Elena generously took the bag of candy and the box of pizza from his hands. "Well, I got the kid movies, like we planned," she moved over to the couch and set the bag and the box on the coffee table in front of her, "but I had also taken up your advice on throwing some PG-13 movies. I thought that maybe we could watch Hot Fuzz, and some of their stuff. They are, however, rated R, but that's because of the all the swearing." Elena looked to Tate, and brought him into a hug. Not a quick one like the ones that they do in school. "Thank you for coming." Elena must've realized how it seemed, but she soon pulled away, not wanting to make it awkward for him.
"I just - it gets lonley here and you've been so great to me," admitted Elena taking in a deep breath following. She realized how the mood suddenly went from anxious to building tension. "Sorry. I'm sorry." Elena sat down on the couch, but grabbed Tate's hand and tugged him down to where he was sitting beside her. Reaching for two movies, both of different ratings, Elena held them up. "What should we start with? British people cursing? Or monsters scaring children for power?" Elena laughed, loving how she described the two different genres. However, a thought pitched in her head. "Oh! Gotta get the drinks." Playfully jumping off the couch, Elena sped to the kitchen and grabbed a few cans of coke and two water bottles. It was like a little girl who was having her first party, wanting to be prepared but wasn't casual about her actions at all. Returning to the couch, Elena basically tossing herself onto the furniture, she then propped her legs up on Tate's lap. Giving him a big smile, also completely unaware of how exposed her legs were, Elena asked, "So? Which one, Monroe?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ Tate barely got a word out before she had hugged him. Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around her waist and returned the gesture but this time it was different. It wasn't short like I usually was. When he hugged her it was short and casually but this time it was longer and it felt...intimate? Or maybe Tate was the one imagining that? Maybe Kailan's pep talk put stuff in his head that made him misinterpret the hug in the wrong way? He'd literally just ask her if they had anything going on but he loved their friendship so much. If she stopped talking to him all because of his own stupidity then....Gosh, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. Tate smiled and nodded when she thanked for coming, his previous notion about the intimate hug being pushed to the back of his head. He thought it was cute that she actually wanted him here. Like, she didn't feel obligated to invite him over because they were friends - she really just wanted to hang out with him. As he sat, he had to tell her ," No, no. Don't apologize. All you have to do is call me whenever you're lonely" Tate was someone who really knew what it was like to feel lonely..
♣ Tate felt like how you feel when it's your first time hanging over at a friend's house and you don't want to seem rude. He just sat there quietly and let Elena run around. But when she came back and put her legs in his lap, Tate silently damned himself. Her. Legs. Yes, he was a guy and all but he wouldn't let his gender be an excuse for 'not being able to control himself'. He had to control himself. He would not take advantage of his best friend in her short shorts and tank top. Tate repositioned himself so he was more comfortable with his legs in her lap. He rested on hand on her leg and looked at her. " Well, Monsters scaring children for power sounds extremely intriguing. I think I'd like that one. Although, you being the child that you are, I'm afraid that the movie will be too much for you" The boy grinned at his teasing. He always felt so clever when he really wasn't. He rubbed her leg absentmindedly as he said " We don't have to watch it if it's too much for you.... I'll understand"

Elena opened her mouth in a wide smile, as if she was offended that Tate had joked of her lack of ability to sit through such a "scary" movie. Of course she knew that he was kidding, as she was as well. Elena could feel Tate rub her leg, but knew that he was completely unaware of his actions. She didn't fee weird. In fact, she didn't want him to stop. Elena arched a challenging brow towards Tate as he commented how they don't have to watch it if it's too much for her. "Well, big guy, it's already in the DVD player. All I have to do is fire it up." Elena grinned and leaned forward, reaching for the remote that was on the table beside Tate's side of the couch. She stretched her arms until she collected the remote in her hand and then leaned back to where she was before. Legs still propped up on Tate's lap, Elena played the movie with delight. "Nice try," Elena told him, flashing him a smug grin. Elena was glad that Tate was her friend. When he was watching the movie, she briefly looked at him. She admired how he looked. How when he was smiling, his dimples revealed and showed off. How his hair was in a blonde mop mess, but it suited his personality. His common sweater taste that he wore plenty of times, Elena knew. She remembered. Watching Tate for that moment caused a genuine smile to spread across her face. When facing the movie once again, Elena thought to herself. 'This boy will be the death of me..'
By some miracle, they managed to survive through the first four movies without falling asleep. However, during Finding Nemo, this followed Boondock Saints, Elena felt her eyelids drift to sleep. She didn't have her legs resting against Tate's lap anymore. Instead, she was resting against him. Her head was laid on his chest, fitting perfectly, while his arm was wrapped around her. Elena was completely unaware she fell asleep like this, but she was awake, she wouldn't complain. "Just keep swimming," the TV sang, but Elena was still asleep. The only provided lights was the screen. It was soon dark outside, and all the other lights were switched off, as if they were in a real movie theater with junk food surrounding them. It was clear that the teenagers ate most of the given food for wrappers laid about, some empty cans, and only one slice of pizza was left. Elena was happy, content, and she looked as if she was sleeping peacefully.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♣ The boy was surprised at how long they lasted. Well, usually movies got a bit boring after a certain amount of time, not to mention that they ate a substantial amount of junk. He had expected them to get bored about half way through the second movie. But that wasn't the case. He actually enjoyed all the movies, especially Boondock Saints. Let's face it, it brought out that bit of testosterone. He praised Elena after every movie finished, even if he had seen them before. She had a good selection for the night : He gave credit to where credit was due. Now Elena had already fallen asleep, leaving Tate awake with barely opened eyes. Finding Nemo was one of his favorite movies as a kid, he wanted to at least through this before going to sleep. Tate felt that Elena was adorable when she was asleep, especially in this current moment with how she was leaning on him. If he closed his eyes and pretended, it could actually seem like they were a couple. But they weren't. Tate brushed back some of Elena's hair with his hand and sighed gently, taking in the moment. Actually, he did more than take in the moment, he got a little caught up in it too as he leaned forward to gently kiss the top of her head. The boy then tilted his head backwards and closed his eyes, listening to the movie.
