Shang didn’t have a large amount of energy after this battle, it was extremely draining and he’d found himself on the receiving end of a lot of attacks, but at least he was still standing which was more than he could say for most. He looked to Acrucis, who he had been determined to take any attack who could for wanting desperately to spare her injury.
“I’m really glad that is over. I did not enjoy this week at all or the fact that I pretty much had to take myself out,” he said shaking his head. “Are you alright?”
He looked around watching as the other’s moved about gathering each up and helping each other to get out of the area. There was no fighting between the senshi, knight, and negaverse. They had all had a tough battle and they had all worked together toward a end goal. He wished it could be like that always. It just showed, that maybe they didn’t have to fight one another, they could work together. He was of course, newer to this than some, and a little more naive to some points in the war, so his had a less jaded opinion.
“Come, we’d better find Maia. We were supposed to meet her here.”

“I’m okay” came Acrucis’ stunned reply. The power signatures that dappled the surrounding area was more than overwhelming. A mix of Chaos and Order aura’s, each supporting an array of injuries; some more grievous than others. The Shades were evil creatures, full with malicious intent and brutal in their way. Yet in the aftermath of such a struggle Acrucis was surprised to see that those who fared better than most were offering assistance others despite factions or sides.
Falling in step behind the Pluto Squire, the Senshi of Prayer felt her heart ache seeing all these powered individuals worse for wear and felt herself wishing that they had been able to arrive just a bit sooner. “What does she look like?” With the whole appearance change when powering up, she hadn’t a clue who to look for among the sea of unfamiliar faces.

Shang was very happy that Acrucis was okay, it severely made up for the aches he had all over. Their rate of healing as senshi and knight was something he was going to be really thankful for very soon. He was looking for Maia scanning the area with his eyes as well as trying to feel out of third level signature which admitting wasn’t easy, when Acrucis asked what she looked like.
Shang had forgotten in that moment that Acrucis didn’t know what Maia looked like, having never met her. He gave a smile and pointed to himself, “Like me, same eyes, and same hair, though her curls are shorter and I’m a little fairer than she is.”
He continued to looked around, “she is wearing green and white, has a good amount of music notes on her and really high white boots.” He wondered momentarily if they should split up so they could cover more ground when he spotted his sister lying on the ground.
“Maia,” he called out and starting toward her, going from walking to running almost immediately.

Just as he called out his sisters name and starter running forward Acrucis spotted the eternal senshi they were seeking. Laying still on the cold ground, she did not seem to respond to Shang calling out her name. Once close enough, the Senshi of Prayer paused just beside her doctor or guardian for the evening, whichever he may be at this given moment, and looked the girl over.
From what she could tell there were several shallow cuts adorning her exposed skin; if there was bruising she couldn’t tell with the low light surrounding the lake side area. Thankfully it did not seem like there were any large gashes given by the lack of a blood soaked uniform; dirty yes, but still remained white and green for the most part. “Is she going to be okay?” she asked noting the concerned look on his face which mirrored an all too familiar look her parents gave her from time to time, but it was to be expected.

Shang dropped to his knees next to his sister and immediately checked to make sure she was breathing. She was and so he checked her pulse, it wasn’t the strongest, but it wasn’t weak either. He pulled her into his arms and started trying to rouse her as Acrucis walked up. He was very careful not to aggravate any injury she may have had, but he was extremely concerned about her lack of a response.
He looked up to Acrucis as she asked if Maia would be okay and he answered in earnest, “I’m not really sure. This is sort of like after the carnival, but she’s in a much better condition than after that and I’m quite sure she hasn’t had her starseed pulled out. I think she might have exhausted too much magic, not completely I don't think because she’s still Maia, but abundantly.”
He sighed trying again to rouse his sister but to no avail, “I think maybe I should take her to the hospital, but I can’t unless I can wake her up. I certainly can’t walk in with her like this. I’m pretty sure that would not go over too well.”

Watching Dr. Jacobs worry over his sister, unsure what to do given her current condition, Acrucis couldn’t help but feel helpless as she stood by. It’s one thing when you’re a doctor receiving patients as they entered the ER; yes the situation was likely an emergency but at the same time they are able to take a step back from the situation enough to focus on how to address the issue at hand; as opposed to seeing a loved one in an unresponsive state such as this “What about my renew?” she finally offered once there was a lull in his frantic speech. “Do you think it could help?”
Quote:
He looked to Acrucis when she suggested her renew. He didn’t know if it would help, but at this point in time, he honestly didn’t think it would hurt. “I’m not sure if it will help, but you are welcome to try it Acrucis.”
Maia still remained unresponsive, but at least she was breathing. He hoped that Acrucis’ magic would help to at least build Maia’s energy faster since her body wouldn’t have to focus on healing itself. “Do you need me to lay her down? It would be interrupted if I’m holding her, will it because I don’t to mess anything up.”
If there was anything one could tell from the moment was that Shang certainly loved his sister, his main concern was for her, he’d put himself last every time.

“To be honest your guess is as good as mine. I would think you should be fine holding her.” Just like the first time sheena had instructed her to use her attack, Acrucis went through the motions of her attack. Bringing her hands up in a prayer like motion, she closed her eyes for a second and whispered the name of her attack “Prayer of Renew” then opened her eyes and faced her palms outward towards Maia.
All at once both Maia as well as her own hands were blanketed in a soft yellow glow, the same glow which had encompassed Shang the day she powered up the first time. Similar to the times before, Acrucis watched unblinking as the shallow cuts mended themselves and the bruises, which only became visible to her once the glow settled, began to fade.
Though she should feel a sense of relief she was still left with a level of uncertainty on whether or not it was actually effective. There was always the potential that there was something else they were missing, she just hoped that wasn’t the case.

Shang would never tire of seeing Acrucis’ magic, it was beautiful and calming in a way even if it wasn’t being used on him. He watched as his sisters cuts and bruises fade away and she shifted momentarily almost in relief, but she didn’t wake. Still the shift made him hopeful, so he tried again to rouse her.
“Maia,” he said softly, “can you hear me? Are you there?”
Still no response but Shang decided it would be best if they didn’t hang around much longer. He gathered his sister in his arms and motioned for Acrucis to follow. “Let’s get out of the park. We can go back to my car and I can see if I can get her to wake long enough to at least power down. I don’t think she will need the hospital, but she will likely need a lot of rest.”
He held his sister a little tighter and gave Acrucis a sad smile, “thank you for your help. She seems to get into this sort of situation a lot of late. She really tries to give her all.”

”Don’t worry about, I just hope it actually did some good. With you watching her I’m sure she’ll be fine. I’ll go with you and help get her into your car, um but I think I’m going to go ahead and stick around here, see if there is anyone else I can help.” He needed time to take care of his sister, not fretting about anything else.
“I’ll get home safely, I promise.” With that she followed Shangri-La to his vehicle and bid her farewells but not before giving one last request. ”Let me know… when she wakes up, if she’s okay. Please?” This was suppose to be the first time she met his sister, an eternal, someone who could tell her more about what was going on. Next time She offered them a rueful smile as she watched the headlights disappear down the street before going back to the hoard of signatures surrounding the lake.
