I need help ;m; I'm trying to get a Staryu with Analytic by breeding it with a Ditto with the ability Imposter.. People said it works, and some say it doesn't.. I have hatched 23 Staryu eggs and still haven't gotten a Analytic Staryu yet gonk Can anybody help me? Or does anybody have a Analytic Staryu? gonk

It doesnt work that way you need to find a staryu with its Hidden ability and breed it with ditto to pass the ability

If you can find somebody with a Water Friend Safari that has a Staryu in it it is possible to get a Staryu that already has the ability from the wild. The pokemon caught in Friend Safari have the possibility to have a hidden ability.

I have to ask... why do you want analytic over natural cure? (Yeah, illuminate is wortless even in-game)
Got me thinking as analytic works as long as you go second in a turn... or last where it to be 4 to 6 battles...
AND looking at staryu/starmie stats it will most of the times go first as it´s speed is his selling point while battling using it.
