A rogue was leaving and Erevu was passed the duty to escort. Not at all bothered by the order, he calmly rendezvous point, glancing up at the sky. The sun was high, nearly directly above, signaling the agreed time.
Really, Erevu couldn’t have been in a more pleasant mood, except when he found out he had become a scout. Or the days he walked along with Yai. But the day just wouldn’t allow for sourness. The weather was great; still hot enough to make stones nearly intolerable at first touch but not scorching on his back. And there was a slight breeze to make up for it. It was also the beginning of his shift, and so he was rather energetic and not quite worn out from trekking along the border.
Spotting the large rock that sat near an acacia tree, Erevu approached, before sitting down. He could wait patiently. He was in no hurry. Closing his eyes briefly, he allowed the very slight, gentle breeze to ruffle his mane, a sigh of contentment escaping him.

 Faudi was, of course, running a little late to the rendezvous point! He had to first find his late travel companion, Mati, and she was not easily found when she did not want to be! Or better yet, she forgot she needed to be found to bid him farewell.
The white lion was quite used to the forgetful nature of his friend and simply laughed with her, telling her to remember him, before leaving.
Or, well, arriving late to leave. Not particularly, horribly late, mind, but late nonetheless. "Good Afternoon!" Faudi said happily, seeing the scout that had been described to him. It wasn't terribly hard, but alas.
It was always nice to talk to another, even if this was not his guard, after all. He would be leaving soon, and he didn't know when the next time it was that he would have company once again.

His eyes flew open at the first hint of noise, though he kept his eyes closed; the other wasn’t attempting to hide his steps nor was he dashing at him. When the steps got close enough and the other lion spoke, Erevu opened his eyes, immediately taking in the appearance; he was exactly as the description described.
Easily smiling, he nodded in greeting. ”Good afternoon,” he told him. Standing up, he didn’t mention the slight tardiness. ”Did you enjoy your time in the Pridelands?” he asked simply, moving to walk. Blinking, he realized he didn’t introduce himself. ”I’m Erevu,” he stated cheerfully.

Faudi gave a kind of bittersweet smile. "I only wish I wouldn't be leaving my friend behind!" He told the Scout. "But of course, that's her choice, and I'll be moving on," He rocked on his toes, moving forward towards the scout to walk with him towards the border. He gave the other lion a bright grin.
"Oh, I'm Faudi - its nice to meet you, Erevu." He skipped a little with his step, trying to keep himself as cheerful as possible. It was hard, though. Mati was the only person he really knew.
He was curious though, as always. "So, how did you come to be in this pride?" He asked. He needed to keep his mind off the departure.

Erevu’s steps faltered at the admission. ”I’m sorry to hear that,” he murmured automatically, eyes twitching a bit. That’s rough. Of course, Erevu couldn’t imagine ever leaving the Pride Lands. So, the thought of leaving his friends and family… a shiver wracked through him. ”You could always come back to visit your friend,” he offered the bit of uplifting news with a meek smile. Idly, he wondered just who this friend was, though didn’t quite feel bold enough to ask. Was it any of his business? No.
Erevu’s smile grew more sincere, clearly effected by the other’s attempt of cheerifulness. ”Nice to meet you as well, Faudi,” he responded. The question caught him off guard; not many venture to ask how he had come to be in the pride. Mainly because his appearance would have defaulted him as a born and raised pridelander. ”I was born here, actually,” he responded with a shrug. ”Rather boring origin story. But it is what it is,” he grinned.
