Summer was finally here. The cherry blossoms had finally lost their pink petals, the trees were now a vibrant green and the sun was shining with golden light. Destiny City was alive in a way that only sunlight could bring out in people. Children raced about in parks, flowers bloomed everywhere, and people enjoyed BBQ’s and skimpy clothing to their hearts content. It was an almost different world than the blistering cold Ate had to experience and her gratitude for the changing seasons was never stronger at this point.
That and the fact it meant different working hours for Sailor Ate as well. The nights may have grown shorter lessening her time in the shadows but the rewards were now far greater as foolish people opted to spend their time not only mostly outdoors but now much later into the evening too. It only took a wrong turn or an open window forgotten and the Corrupted Eternal could spend hours having her fun. Bathed in the addictive glow of energy draining and chaos she ran amok through the city and the suburbs, her reputation slowly gathering as she became more violent and harsh with each attack, the taint that surrounded her growing stronger with each victim. It soon became apparent that her poor conquests were never enough to satisfy her needs and her methods had become more…brutal over time. When the 5th or 6th attempt at faking a gas leak or spiking her prey with drugs had failed to entertain her she had begun to openly attack, maiming those unfortunates in the process. When she couldn’t get her hands on a star seed she would see to it that they would never forget that night they were introduced, keeping very personal souvenirs from their meetings. Of course with her unhinged personality becoming stronger the Negaverse had started to keep tabs on her, there was fear that someone as “special” as Ate could soon cause trouble. That didn’t mean she couldn’t lose those tailing her when she wanted too, like tonight for example.
Pulling off her glove she slowly leant down, her hand silently caressed the unconscious man’s face she had kneeling before her. His stubble caught the skin on her palm as she stroked him almost lovingly. She didn’t know who this person was, she didn’t care. But he was about to give her a gift, a beautiful gift and she would cherish it as he probably cherished life. Right up until that last gurgling scream the she would make him beg for. She pulled her arm back, let the taint of chaos consume her and punched a hole straight into his chest.
Shazari Random alleyway, please feel free to stop her by distracting her or something....or watch her take his starseed, whahaha

The energy signature was strange -- an unstable aura, Chaotic, and more powerful than what she'd felt with Avalon. Larger than anything she'd ever sensed before. It was certainly more than Hvergelmir was capable of fighting, and her first instinct was that she shouldn't go near it anymore -- but she wasn't a fighter anymore. It didn't matter who her opponent was, did it? She couldn't fight any of them if she wanted to. Not that she wanted to. What she wanted was to talk, to explain the true history of the war and give them a chance to turn from their lives of fighting and killing people who should've been their brethren. And talking required being close enough to have a conversation. Hvergelmir approached the aura with trepidation, especially when it slipped into a darkened alleyway. That was never a good sign -- nothing aboveboard ever took place in dark alleys. What she saw was a senshi, but clad in black, bent over an unconscious victim. Up close, her aura was oppressively wild. Hvergelmir shivered. She waited, watching -- but when she realized what the senshi was going to do -- when she saw that hand plunge into the man's chest like Schörl had done when she'd wrapped her fingers around Hvergelmir's starseed to warn her what the Negaverse would do to her if she resisted -- it was too much. She dismissed her distaff into subspace and held up both of her hands. "Oh God, wait!" she yelled out. "Wait, please wait, you'll kill him!" (As usual, Hvergelmir had a tendency to blurt things out in these situations that often sounded more than a little stupid -- the senshi was probably perfectly aware that what she was about to do was going to kill the man she was doing it to.)

It wasn't the shouting that surprised Ate, she was expected some screaming of course, some pleading at the least or at the very most a strangled whimper and if not from her victim then from a worried onlooker who thought they might have caught a mugging in the act. But it was the distinct "kill" word that caught her attention. She held no knife and her prey didn't look beaten up - if anything one could be mistaken in thinking this was nothing more than a late night amorous encounter. Yet someone knew what she was doing, had tasted it in the air and possibly themselves been apart of this wonderful moment to recognized it so keenly. She smiled happily at this thought. Someone else that could live though the pain again was always much more enjoyable than doing it the first time, she hoped they were ready for a long night.
"And why...would I do such a thing as to stop?" She looked up, her fringe resting above dark mascaraed eyes, red lips painted within an inch of their life smiled at the young Page, her white teeth glinting in the street light. Oh this was even better, a feeble little order whore wanting to stop her. It was priceless.
"You do realized...your out matched don't you? Run away little girl, before I decide to eat you too."
Ate didnt go for fights that were beneath her. She wanted the challenge, the excitement of a decent battle. She wanted to taste blood and feel pain. She was masochistic personified and she would not have her hands dirtied by an unworthy foe. This Page, however ever stunningly beautiful, was such a case.Shazari Sorry for the awfully late reply, I got ill!!

Something in the way the senshi looked at her made Hvergelmir shiver. Her eyes were as wild as her aura, and as terrifying. She looked heavily made up, like a dark, magical parody of Dita von Teese or something like that -- something that said her image was very calculated. Beautiful, alluring, dangerous. Hvergelmir trembled a little, trying to force herself to hold her ground. She tried to remember that it didn't matter how powerful the Negaverse was if she could get them not to fight her in the first place. Maybe this senshi just needed help, a friendly hand. You know, if Hvergelmir just ignored all the evidence to the contrary. "I'm not here to fight," she said, voice shaky. "I swore a vow not to attack your people. I just want to talk. I'd rather -- " She searched for the right words. " -- make friends. I want to know how this happened to you. Th-that's all."

Ate was quite simply stunned.
Friends? She wanted to be…friends? A manicured brow rose up in surprise, her eyes glittering dangerously as she tried to work out this trick…because it was a trick right? Friends? She actually wanted to be friends?
Why…Ate was insulted!
Did this girl not know what she was!? Who she worshiped! What she had done!! Why she was …speechless! And more than a little miffed at the thought she had not be recognized for the threat she was. Did she not scream chaos and destruction through to her very core? Did she not spread fear throughout the city by her actions? Obviously bloody not! If she wasn’t so outraged by the insinuation of being “friends” Ate may have laughed at the entire scene. She clearly needed to up her game and this poor little Page would get to find out how.
“Ahh-haha….no child. I don’t think we – “ she pointed to the young beauty and then back to herself, her head shaking in mock pity “ – can ever be friends. I doubt you would enjoy my company for very long but...I do so love a challenge.”
Despite herself she was curious. A Order ally not willing to fight? She couldn't say she had ever met someone so bold to make that statement, sure there had been attempts at conversation. But it always ended the same. Blood and torment and beautiful pain.
It was more than a little unusual and the corrupted Senshi found herself in a state of interest, this might be fun after all she began to utter something else when the man before her groaned in his stupor catching Ate unaware. She had forgotten his entire existence when this strange little Page had appeared and her hand came up to rest on his head in memeory, fingers tapping over his skull in thought. She hadn’t planned for this, if she was to get his starseed she needed to deal with the Page first but if she left him like this he would awaken and escape…there was only one thing for it. The snap judgment was her knee coming up to meet his face and as her hand pushed down her knee came up smashing her limb into his face knocking teeth and nose out of place, his mind snapping back into oblivion as he fell knocked out to the floor. She smiled in triumph, now she could deal with things.
If the move hurt she didn’t show it as she step on and over him to walk closer, her smile feral as she approached. “See, now our little chat wont be disturbed. That’s what you want right? To talk, to get to know me inside and out? To fix me maybe? Tell you what, I’ll allow you to ask me some questions and maybe you will find out a thing or two…maybe not. Maybe we can be best friends hmm? Best friends forever?” Shazari Ate creeps me out sometimes OTL;;;;

Hvergelmir watched the corrupted senshi as she half-crushed the man's face in. The page was unaccustomed to seeing such gruesome violence in person -- she curled her hands up over her mouth and let out a quiet, horrified noise at the sight. Was it necessary? Had the Negaverse really convinced its soldiers that that kind of open cruelty, unprovoked, towards one's fellow man was somehow needed and important? That it served a noble cause and there was no alternative? "I don't want to fix you," she stammered, which was and wasn't true. "I want to -- " She fished about for something that wouldn't sound falsely friendly. The senshi apparently didn't like false closeness. "I want to understand you." She wrung her hands in the fabric of her skirt. The senshi was definitely creeping her out. Her fake chipperness, her bloody-mouthed smile. The look, that terrible, terrible look in her eyes. There was no sympathy for Hvergelmir there, just an amused ruthlessness. "Please," she entreated. "Tell me your name. Tell me how you came to serve Chaos." Matisha delightfully creepy biggrin

Walking forward Ate came to a stop a short distance away, the Page's trembling voice a soothing sympathy in the corrupted woman's ear. She couldn't help but think she was staring deeply into the warm fluffy heart of all innocence. Shooting big eyed puppies in a barrel would have felt less evil than scaring this poor girl. She was cringingly cute. If Ate ever had the need to squeal over Order Senshi she would be cooing over this one like a madwomen. Sadly though the chaotic senshi was lacking in the compassion department these days and had nether the time or the patience to sooth this girls fear. She wanted to ignite them.
"Understand me? Heh, how long have you got girly?" She pulled out a cigarette case from between her bosom and began to light one up, the smoke curling out in front of her and towards Hvergelmir like an evil fog. She was still speaking as the black cloud escaped though teeth and lips giving her the illusion of a dragon breathing fire. Her large hip jutted up at an angle as she bent her opposite knee, her other hand resting upon her waist as she settled into a relaxed stance, her posture reflecting boredom as if this line of inquiry was nothing knew to her and she had answered it a thousand times. "Well I guess before I crush you delicate little windpipe I can answer a few of your questions at least. Am nothing if not polite to my adoring public, especially pretty little things like yourself."
Taking in a long inhale of smoke she answer the first two questions honestly, if one could trust someone like her of course. "My name? It is Sailor Ate, the corrupted Senshi of Pollution and to answer your question I joined them for one very simple reason." She took another step forward bringing the gap a smidgen smaller between them.
"Power my dear. Absolute power. I wanted it all and Chaos could bring me that. But I found something much more beautiful in the midst of it all. I found her..." She looked off to the side as if seeing something her eyes momentarily glassy before snapping back to the Page's.
"Does that answer your questions? Can we move onto the fun stuff now? I do enjoy the fun..."

There was nothing promising about the phrase before I crush your delicate little windpipe. Hvergelmir cringed, looking backward at the far end of the alleyway. It wasn't far -- she could run, if she had to, couldn't she? She could run right now, this probably wasn't going to work out like she'd hoped -- But when she looked back, there was the man on the ground where Ate had stepped right over him after bashing his face in. The man she was going to kill. If Hvergelmir didn't convince her not to. She took a step back when Ate advanced, the response instinctive and born of fear; but after that, she forced herself not to keep retreating. She had to stay and try. She had to. Her knees were knocking together beneath her dress. She hoped Ate wouldn't notice. "Power," she repeated, voice quavering slightly, "to do what?" It was hard to gather her thoughts enough to stall for more time, to try and find a way to talk Ate down. Her tongue felt like lead in her mouth, heavy and slow. "Who -- who did you find?"

Ate watched as she saw the flight or fight reflex echo in splendor of her eyes, the sheer terror and anxiety that gripped someone when they didn’t know what was about to happen, the dread of the unknown. She could still get that feeling, could still get sweaty palms the palpitations and the shaking limbs, she wasn’t a monster, not yet anyway. She knew what fear was. But surely fear was another way of measuring life and Ate so liked to let people realize they were alive.
Before taking it away from them of course.
Yet she wouldn’t deny the girl her answers. Hvergelmir questions weren’t pointless or trivial and she wasn’t about to berate the girl for wanting to know more about herself. She was a very interesting lady after all. But she knew what it was like to have questions for unseen answers, no matter how futile it was.
“Yes power, do you not seek power too? To gain your….equivalent of the wings of an eternal Senshi? I have no idea what you Knights get for butt ******** your dead Queen but am sure its something very sparkly.” She inspected her gloved nails, pretending to pick beneath them as she stood before the Page with her dress of white. She could image the Page looking stunning as a Knight, the power that would radiate from her would be delicious. She almost felt sorry that she wouldn’t ever see the day.
“So…in a way that answer isn’t so surprising is it? Ahh but your other? Now we get to the meat of the question. Who did I find? Why the Goddess my dear, beautiful awe inspiring Chaos. Haha, you know I remember the moment so clearly yet have trouble recalling when it even happened? Strange isn’t it? I almost went insane when I saw her the first time, such was her magnificence, the intense horror I saw…it was…beautiful” Ate became more agitated as she spoke, her eyes wide and her hands fidgeting bedside her as she spoke her manic words.
“I could show you, you know? Show you her wisdom, her power…please…allow me to pollute your soul…”

Hvergelmir frowned. Setting aside the vulgarity -- she was fairly certain that knights didn't have any dead queen, but that Ate was just trying to unnerve her, which was unfortunately succeeding -- Ate's answer was worrying. To join Chaos just to climb through the ranks of senshi magic, something she could've accomplished on her own . . . that was a little difficult to address through rhetoric, to talk down. To desire power without purpose, power for power's sake -- it was hard to make a good counteroffer to that. Worse was her description of her goddess. Chaos. Ate, if her description was to be believed, was very far from sane. Hvergelmir shook her head vehemently. "No," she said slowly, "I don't want her power. Nothing I'd have to hurt innocent people to get is worth having. Don't you -- didn't you have friends, people you cared about? People you wanted to protect?"

The raven haired senshi was enticed by the sheer stubbornness of this Page. Usually she had drove most people to their edge by now, a cry of indignation would rise up and the battle would commence. Yet this girl was still denying her that pleasure. She was certainly strong in her desire to talk but she felt there must be more to it…maybe she was simply stalling for aid? Why, the tricky little thing, she would have to put a stop to that.
“Innocent? Ha ha ha!” Ate’s laugh was loud and brash one hand falling down to rest against her stomach as she mimicked flicking a tear from her eye with the other. “Ohh ha haha, innocent? Haha, my dear, no one on this godforsaken rock is innocent. Why maybe the new-borns, before the learn to speak and think for themselves, but everyone has a price my dear, even you. I wouldn’t count myself above mere mortals in that respect sweetie it turns very ugly when you fall from grace.” She uttered the last bit with a sneer in her voice and the laughter had defiantly stopped. She looked angry now.
“And this world chews out the weak, any friend of mine should be able to handle themselves, any person I care about should be able to fight back. If they don’t, well…It is their downfall not mine. I can only help those willing to help themselves, myself included. I do not fear death but neither do I disrespect it. If I am to die on this rock it is on my own terms no one else’s and I will have the power to make the world tremble before I do.”
All previous humor had left the Senshi. She was annoyed now. Thinking of those very few she did care about – no - those that she respected. It would be a hard blow to find out their demise but death and destruction came to all she wasn’t innocent any more to think she could protect them from everything. She would miss them aye, but she would move on in her work and if it was her hand which brought them their ultimate end, so be it.
“I am growing tired with this talk Page, if you are expecting help they should be here by now and if not then it is time to finish things, I hope this conversation has brought you comfort in your final moments.”Shazari I am happy for more talk or if you wanted Ate to start fighting her now we can, anything for you!!

This time, Hvergelmir physically recoiled. Ate's words grew more and more chilling each time she spoke. Her outlook on the world, on its own, might have just been heartbreaking -- to truly believe that people lost their virtue as soon as they gained free thought, that human beings were without worth or incapable of great good -- but in conjunction with her desire for power, to wreak havoc on the world, it was a recipe for inhuman horror. A person like Ate, high on power and with no regard for human life, was capable of destroying the world. Was this the end result of what Chaos's influence did to people? Did they all become cold and hateful and greedy in the end? "Is that . . . is that what you think this world is about? Fighting? Killing? Choosing where you die?" she asked desperately. "You've never . . . there's so much more in life than that. Power's not -- not -- an end goal. It's a tool -- not an end. Not a trophy. It's a tool, because you put it down when you don't need it." Hvergelmir put her hands up again, her voice rising with growing nerves. "No one's threatening you. You don't have to do this. Please." Matisha the fighting can commence at absolutely any time, darling <3

Ate had once thought this world was capable of other things. Back when she was neither a chaos agent nor indeed a Senshi. She had been normal, happy regular girl with a flair for petty violence and cheap booze. Yet she was so much more now and that rebellious girl felt like a life time ago. She had seen things, done things that would make people recoil, just like Hvergelmir had done. She had been called a monster, was insane, cruel and murderous, she was all those things and much more. And the only being that accepted her with open arms had been Metalia. She fed her desires, rewarded her actions, she was everything to Ate and Ate was soon realizing she would do anything for her, including watching this world burn.
She wouldn’t let her down.
What else is there to think about in this world? Love? Friendship? Ha! I have seen righteous men and women do things for goodthat would make your teeth curl! Known people that would speak out in the name of truth and justice and perform deeds that put even myself to shame! All are corruptible, all are tainted but it is with a very human hand. You think me a monster? I just own up to what I have done, what I will do and I do it for a power beyond anything you have even known! DO NOT THINK TO QUESTION ME ON THIS GIRL!”
Her nostrils flared out in anger, hands closing into fists beside her waist as her voice rang out screaming at the Page. She knew she couldn’t keep herself from the rage she felt beneath her skin, the red veil that would swallow her whole, the chaos that swam in her very veins bubbling in anticipation.
This meeting was over.
“We all have a price my dear …. I wonder though what yours will be?” Her words were so quiet that a person would have to strain to hear them, but there would be no need to listen for too long, not when she snapped her head and raced forward her full body weight thrown behind her shoulder as she rammed it into the delicate Page standing before her. She hit her like a tank and the force pushed them down towards the floor.Shazari I hope it doesn't seem to god-moddy, but Ate throws her weight about and punches a lot but feel free to hit her with anything and break teeth and fingers...which you can even give her a scar or too! I shall not do anything though other than punches!! (and a magic attack!! or two) .

Ate's words had gone from worrying to frightening to profoundly, dangerously irrational. Hvergelmir could sense that she'd taken a misstep in the conversation somewhere -- probably a lot of missteps, honestly -- but knowing you were screwing up a conversation was a lot easier than knowing how to not screw up a conversation. With Ate, she was out of her depth: Ate seemed to have a Chaos-borne madness that Hvergelmir couldn't begin to understand how to work with. She'd been expecting that at some point in the conversation, any Negaverse officer would slow down enough to hear what she had to say, and that once they did, they'd see there was no reason to go forward with hurting her. That was evidently not the case. Ate seemed to have been humoring Hvergelmir out of amusement as much as anything. And now Ate was not amused. With her hands still held aloft in the air, bIdding for peace, Hvergelmir had no real time to react to Ate's attack the way that her self-defense instructor had been trying to teach her to do. Instead, she was knocked backwards, and all her carefully practiced lessons about how to roll with falls went straight out of her head. She landed on her hip -- which hurt -- and scraped a big chunk of her arm against the blacktop -- which also hurt -- and she had Ate still bearing right down onto her, pinning Hvergelmir with her weight. "Get off me!" she called out, pushing backward against Ate's superior strength to try and dislodge her long enough to get some distance from the current situation. "Stop!" There was no compassion in Ate's eyes -- just anger, there, anger and a kind of dizzy hunger which Hvergelmir guessed must come from a desire to indulge some dark, violent impulse. The page had taken a vow of truce toward the Negaverse, but she'd included a rider -- she could defend her own life if it was being threatened. Right now it was being pretty well threatened. Hvergelmir tried a few more times to throw Ate off her, or to flip her to the ground -- but nothing worked. It was clear that the corrupted senshi had Hvergelmir bested in sheer, brute strength. Trying to remember what her self-defense instructor had taught her, Hvergelmir curled one of her hands over into a claw shape and took a swipe near Ate's eye. Pointy things are more threatening than blunt things, when they're coming at your eyeballs, she remembered being taught. People are naturally protective of their eyes, it'll make them flnch sometimes. Don't let up. It wasn't much to go on, her few self-defense classes -- but she'd have to try. Matisha You're a delight and so is Ate! Hver won't do too much damage, she's just trying to get away -- but yeah, you are totally welcome to me her into a bloody, puffy mess so long as there are no major broken bones or permanently disfiguring injuries this time around <3

For all that Ate would have loved to have been a slip of a girl she just wasn’t born that way and a steady life of roller derby and constant fights had helped her build up muscle and mass that only a few others could boast about. So it was no bloody wonder Hvergelmir couldn’t shift her! She was probably 30lbs heavier at least and that was just counting muscle and not any extra weight she carried. Ate would have felt slighted at the attempt if she was just regular Harley but right now it played to her advantage and it was an advantage she would exploit. She pushed her weight down, her hands gripping the sides of her shoulders as she prepared to start bashing the girls head in against the concrete floor. Hardly an eloquent death but it would do in a pinch or a dark dank alleyway at least.
She didn’t notice the hand flying towards her face the perfectly manicured nails exposed and deadly. She was tpp busy watching Hvergelmir’s eyes, waiting for that moment when fear would be encased in them forever when she finally fell still. Hvergelmir may not have aimed to catch Ate’s so forcefully but the long raw pink lines that now flowed down the Senshi’s eyebrow and cheek begged to differ. Ate blinked surprised and it took a few seconds for the pain and the realization to hit her full on. And then the tight burning sensation of pain erupted over her skin.
“UHG! You-u, You scratched me!” She acted offended rather than hurt as she capped her hand over her eye and brought it back down to see if the Page had drawn blood. This momentary reprieve may have been taken advantage off as Ate sat back slightly her concentration on her hand and eye as she closed it and opened it gingerly.
“You ******** scratched ME!? W-what are you twelve!” She glared at her or attempted too with one quickly swelling eye, her hands pushing herself back up onto two feet before cupping her face again.
“UHHHHH I WILL BURY YOU b***h!!!” Screaming she brought her hands up before her and started casting her attack. Hvergelmir had about 10 seconds to do something clever or get the hell out of the way.
The sky would soon be black with the garbage of a thousand city dwellers.
Shazari [Haha that last bit sounds more epic than it actually is!! They are in a tiny alleyway and she can only pick up pollution that is actually around them in a 25 meter radius (82 feet)….and you can always stop the attack of course!! You get Hver to punch her in the face, dooooo itttt XD!! ]
