I don't personally think blood makes the game better, but it sorta helps to give a little realism. Not so much MORTAL KOMBAT blood, but just a few sprays here and there.

Im glad the the recent MK games had the option of either toning it down or straight cutting it off; all that spray gets rather annoying after a while. gonk

Well it does make the games more realistic so yeah but not over exaggerated or anything crazy gory.

You don't need Blood to make the game better. The Mortal Kombat series takes the blood to far. Just by aa few hits...the character has lost so much blood that makes you wonder why they haven't passed out yet.

Blood is okay...as long as developers dont over do it like they do in Mortal Kombat

I don't like blood so much. But I think it's necessery because how a human take all that punchs and kicks at his face and don't bleed? Lack and abnormal blood lost the realism of the game. Even Street Fighter have a little bit of blood.

I think It can be useful to help set the mood or make it realistic, but I don't care as long as they don't go too far.

I dont mind the blood - its the sceaming and whailing in pain that can kinda get to me.
I kinda feel sorry for some of the guys I kill in Shadow Of Rome...

I guess blood is okay, just not a whole whole swarm of it. Of course I have no problem with blood its just we don't need a excessive amount.

At least Shadow of Rome you can understand axes dilacerating people, but MK is absurd.

IMO, depends on the game, I know Mortal Kombat over does it, but its made up, right? Doesn't have to be all that real, the reason blood is in most games now is cause they're going for realism, you want to see a flashing light when your hit, if its going for realism, it needs to be real, despite the recent Call of Duty didn't have the deep war violence like Brothers in Arms, but it did have a pint of blood, FEAR has the same thing too, like in Resident Evil, you kill a zombie, you need to know if the sucker is dead for sure, even in Silent Hill, this is what I think, blood doesn't really bother me, I just play the games for the fun of it

In moderation, Blood is good. Don't go overboard unless absolutly necessary or as an ocassional joke.
(Fun fact: There is enough pressure in the ciculatory system to have blood spray up to 30 feet. That however does not equated to a 10 second fountain from a severed head)

You know, blood ain't a problem, it makes games more realistic, as long as they don't overdo it. mrgreen
